I chose the gray because it was the colour I wanted, and the price made it seem a very reasonable buy. It feels well assembled and, provided it is looked after, I expect to keep using it for quite a while. The flexible ribs, included cover and loop grip are all useful, especially having somewhere to hang it rather than balancing it against things. My one small gripe is getting all the fabric neatly arranged to put it into the sleeve. It takes more care than simply gathering it up, although that's hardly a serious complaint. I leave this umbrella in the car and it sits neatly across the back of my hatch without occupying much space.

It looks lovely opened out and feels well put together.

Included this with my mother's gift and she was delighted with it. She liked the look, the feel and how neatly it folds away, etc I had pictured a bigger canopy myself, so that was a slight letdown, but she hasn't complained. Nothing else to fault really. It looks lovely opened out and feels well put together. A useful gift that still feels a bit special!

For wet and windy days this has been verry good.

For wet and windy days this has been verry good. Lots of ribs supporting the canopy, and they have some give rather then being completely stiff. The design seems sensible and it hasn't been a struggle when the wind picks up. I have had cheeper large umbrellas before that were much more awkward to carry about and didn't seem any stronger. This one is easier to take with me and has done better then those ever did in the rain.

Three weeks in and the quality still seems very good.

Three weeks in and the quality still seems very good. It keeps my shoulders and upper body dry, which was the main thing I wanted. The frame feels substantial and has coped with the wind here in Chicago without any drama. The blue matches the pictures well.I let it dry open before sliding it into the sleeve, rather than putting it away damp. It spreads out nicely, although the folded bundle is a bit chunky. I'm 1.6m tall and find the loop handle comfortable to hold at a natural height, without having to lift my arm awkwardly. I appreciate the automatic opening and canopy closing. For the price, though, I would have liked a little less effort on the final push to shorten the stem. Otherwise it does its job well! I'll see how the quality holds up over longer use!

Bernard Payne

For the quality I think the price is fair.

Nicely put together, and everything has worked as it should so far. I haven't taken it out in a proper windstorm, so can't speak to that. The automatic opening is useful, even though I usually go for simpler umbrellas. For the quality I think the price is fair. I wouldn't want to spend a small fortune on something I'm quite capable of leaving somewhere - why risk it?

It has kept me dry and I'm happy enough to keep using it.

My last umbrella was with me for ten years before a very windy day by the ocean finished it off. I was rather attached to it and hoped to find something much the same. That has proved harder than expected. This one is definitely smaller, and the handle and center section feel shorter when I'm holding it. The frame doesn't have quite the substantial feel I remember, either. On the other hand it folds neatly enough for my purse, which is a real advantage. Sigh.I suppose there was always going to be a trade off. The push button is still my favourite feature-getting out of the car into rain is much less of a performance when it opens straight away. It has kept me dry and I'm happy enough to keep using it. Whether it becomes another ten year favourite is something only time can tell, but so far it's been a useful replacement.

My umbrella arrived when expected and was in good condition.

My umbrella arrived when expected and was in good condition. I've been taking it golfing for the last two weeks and it has been a useful bit of shade. I walk the course rather than ride, so having something over me makes the sunny stretches easier. It is comfortable to carry along and I would recommend it for walking in hot weather

Kayla Hensley

Very happy with how it works.

A folding umbrella that suits me well. The button gets it open quickly & without fuss; closing folds the canopy, then you press the telescoping pole down to the handle yourself. The simple design has a nice look ... not fancy, but it's the sort of everyday thing that makes a dreary, wet day a little more pleasant. Very happy with how it works.

The handle feels comfortable and I have a secure grip while walking.

The handle feels comfortable and I have a secure grip while walking. It gives me good coverage without feeling like I'm disappearing under an enormous umbrella. Held a little higher, I can still keep an eye on the people around me and where I'm going! That's important to me on a wet pavement, and it has been pleasant to use.

Brad Rush

What a nice umbrella!

What a nice umbrella! Lots of cover when I'm walking the dog, and it feels well made rather than flimsy. The old one I thought I'd lost has turned up too, so there's a spare now. This is still #1! Folds away neatly, but .. open it up and it's BIG enough for me. That's the BEST part ;)

She calls it her "shade to go".

My wife carries this all the time here in the tropics, where the sunshine is no joke. She calls it her "shade to go". Standing underneath it really does feel different from standing out in the sun. The cream white is the one she'd recommend! She likes lighter colours and is happy she went with this one. She's used to taking it everywhere now, so I don't think she'd want anything different.

Small when put away, yet a decent amount of shelter for one person.

Small when put away, yet a decent amount of shelter for one person.I keep mine tucked in the laptop bag so it's there when needed. The fun bit is using it: off comes the sleeve, a press on the button and WHOOSH! up it goes.No fiddling around getting it spread out. Then at the door another press brings the canopy down, SNAP! Give it a shake, press the telescoping stem all the way back in by hand and it's ready to be packed up again. Very satisfying little routine for something as ordinary as an umbrella.

Eugene Mckay

I am so happy with this umbrella!

I am so happy with this umbrella! Before it arrived I had read comments saying the fabric felt thin, so I was a little nervous about what I would get. I checked the canopy straight away when I unpacked it. Honestly, it feels like normal umbrella fabric to me, not something flimsy. The whole thing seems nicely made and I think I will get plenty of use out of it. Now I just need the weather to cooperate! I've actually been looking forward to a rainy day so I can give it a proper try. If I enjoy using it as much as I enjoy looking at it, I may get another colour.

Alejandra Padilla

Warning: getting it out took longer than trying the umbrella!

Gray is even across the canopy and the material sits neatly on the ribs. The opening button has a firm action and everything feels secure. The wrapping was the awkward part for me.Warning: getting it out took longer than trying the umbrella! There were several layers of plastic around it, with tape holding the layers together, so I had to cut slowly rather than just pull it free. Once unwrapped I liked what I found, and the umbrella itself is easy to use!

Everything received in good condition.

Everything received in good condition. This is another one for us, my wife has also bought one and we are satisfied with the quality. It opens properly with the button and the canopy closes the same way, after that the pole needs squeezing shorter with the hands and it stays packed. Nothing difficult once understood. In the rain I have used it in, the water stays outside and the covering gives good shelter. The frame feels strong, with flexible ribs rather than a stiff feeling. I will add more after longer use, but for now all working as it should. Everything is fine

Kathy Sweeney

I absolutely love this umbrella.

I absolutely love this umbrella. To me it looks as good as it works, and I would recommend it without hesitation. Everything feels nicely put together, right down to the handle. The blue is beautiful. I keep looking at it and thinking what a lovely umbrella it is. There is a little more bulk and weight than with a tiny umbrella, but the solid feel makes that worthwhile for me. The blue outside against the black underneath is such a nice combination. Really delighted with what I bought and would choose it again. Any complaints... not from me.

Tiffany Lara

It's a nice looking compact umbrella.

It's a nice looking compact umbrella. The finish is smart, the loop handle feels comfortable, and the sleeve is handy for storing it away once dry. I haven't tried it in rain yet so i can't judge that part, but I'll see how it goes. What bothers me most is how much space the folded umbrella takes up. It's not enormous, just more bulky (more than I expected, anyway) for something I want to keep in a bag. That leaves me a bit unsure about how convenient it will be.

Gabrielle Davidson

The gray looks nice too - tempted to get another one!

Used this for shade all summer - the size suits me and it does a lovely job! Wrapping the fabric neatly takes a little patience, so sometimes it just goes loosely folded into my computer bag. Still going strong despite that, tougher than I first thought. The gray looks nice too - tempted to get another one!

Kim Martin

A sensible buy, and one I would recommend.

We were running short of umbrellas, so I bought a few different ones to keep around. None has disappointed me, but this is the one I reach for first. The loop handle is a useful shape, and the button means I don't have to fiddle about getting it open. There are plenty of ribs supporting the fabric, which gives it a reassuring feel. I still put it away carefully rather than just crushing everything together. If the kids borrow it, I suspect I will have to remind them about that part. Had I tried this before placing the other orders, I might simply have bought more of these. For what I paid, it compares well with the umbrellas I looked at in shops. A sensible buy, and one I would recommend.

A good everyday umbrella...

I work downtown and the wind along the streets can make a wet day rather trying. This umbrella has been steady for me so far, with enough room over my backpack as well as my shoulders. The enclosed loop is comfortable to hold, and being able to fold it away makes the bus ride less awkward. When I need my hands free it goes in the backpack. A good everyday umbrella...

Picked this out for my mother-in-law for a garden party at a California winery. I wanted something that looked nice with her outfit, not just something practical. It did look lovely--slightly bulkier folded than I'd pictured, but for the money I was very happy with it!

Colleen Benitez

My son is very taken with this umbrella.

In the pictures I wasn't sure quite how the handle would feel. It is a closed oval loop, rather than the curved sort, and in the hand it is more comfortable than I expected. My son is very taken with this umbrella. We have had a few for him and this frame seems a good deal more substantial, so I am hopeful about it lasting. Still something to look after, not a toy to swing around. The canopy gives good coverage for him, although I would think of it as a one person umbrella rather than something for two to share comfortably. The button is easy to find and he likes watching it open. Pressing it again folds the canopy; the telescoping part has to be compressed manually to put it away. The beige looks nice and the sewing around the edges looks tidy. Only first impressions so far, I can't speak for how it will be after lots of use. So far I am impressed.

Glen Blanchard

Ladies stop me outside to ask about this pink umbrella.

Ladies stop me outside to ask about this pink umbrella. On campus I swear the other umbrellas look a little embarrassed beside it. My singing hasn't improved, unfortunately, although I do give a more confident performance under this canopy. No dramatic superpowers to report, just the ability to make an ordinary rainy walk feel like an entrance. My purse is still too small for it, but frankly the umbrella and I have agreed that's the purse's problem, not ours.

Andrea Herring

My old golf umbrella has finally had its day after 22 years.

My old golf umbrella has finally had its day after 22 years. This seems a fair replacement for the price, though getting everything packed away neatly took a little practice. I need to straighten the fabric before putting the sleeve on, and closing the canopy doesn't shorten the pole until you press it in. After getting the hang of that - a decent buy overall.

Jill Hart

Better than I expected when I ordered it.

Better than I expected when I ordered it. The construction feels solid and the canopy is a useful size without being awkward. One touch of the button opens it, another folds the canopy, and I compress the stem to put it away. It goes neatly into the sleeve once folded. I used to have umbrellas with straight grips, so the closed oval loop is a nice change. I can clip it onto my bag rather than having to keep hold of it.

Tim Flowers

Very happy with it for their rainy outings.

Purchased for my Grandson, who is very taken with the green. My daughter holds it over the two of them and there is a decent amount of cover. Feels well made, the button opens it quickly and the colour looks as shown. It goes in the backpack ready for the next shower. Very happy with it for their rainy outings.

Anita Neal

hopefully I'll keep this one longer than it takes me to lose it:-)

At about 105cm across when open, this gives decent rain coverage without needing a full length umbrella. The folding construction is a reasonable compromise for for carrying it and putting it away. The flexible ribs seem suited to regular use, and the closed oval handle gives my hand something secure to hold. Button operation is convenient, although pushing the shaft back down afterwards takes more effort than I'd prefer. It isn't the smallest folded umbrella, so check the space in your bag...hopefully I'll keep this one longer than it takes me to lose it:-)

Stayed nice and dry too.

Opening this umbrella actually cheered me up on a dreary day! The beige looks so pretty against all that gray sky. I went through those wet New York streets feeling ridiculously pleased with myself, instead of grumbling about the rain. Stayed nice and dry too. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

(Not everything can disappear into those small pockets).

This was a gift for an 8 year old who needed an umbrella for school. I was a little dissapionted when it wouldn't sit right down in the side pocket of her backpack. The folded length and the loop handle leave part of it sticking up. (Not everything can disappear into those small pockets). It folds up ,but it is not one of those tiny umbrellas you can tuck anywhere. Apart from the fit, she has managed the button and stayed dry with it. For what she actually needed, an umbrella for the rain, it has been fine.

Ours is black and quite smart without being flashy.

Until I started looking for an umbrella, I hadn't paid much attention to ones that opened with a button. With my hands usually full, that turns out to be a very useful thing! It goes up easily and feels reassuringly substantial once open, without being a long umbrella to carry around. My 10-year-old wanted to compare the open size with how small it was folded. Around 105cm across is a decent amount of umbrella, even though it is not one of the huge golf ones. The real test for me was getting out of the minivan in pouring rain with an infant seat, diaper bag, purse and another bag to contend with. Being able to open it quickly and hold it over myself and the baby made that whole juggling act much easier. No separate battle getting the umbrella up while everything else was hanging off me. I've had it out on windy days too and have been pleased with how solid it feels. The loop handle is comfortable enough to hold for a while, which matters when standing through a rainy baseball game. Ours is black and quite smart without being flashy. I'm glad I chose it, and would happily consider more for the relatives who are so hard to find anything for.

This is a cheerful looking umbrella and feels properly made too.

This is a cheerful looking umbrella and feels properly made too. There is a generous amount of cover for me, without being awkward to carry. The green makes a dull day a little brighter.of course I am partial to that colour anyway, but I still think it is a very worthwhile buy.

Doris Dawson

Very happy with it.

I've accumulated quite a few folding umbrellas over the years, usually ones that ended up feeling flimsy. This one has much more of that full-size umbrella feel once it is open. It folds down, but don't expect something tiny that disappears into a small purse. In a larger bag it's manageable, and I prefer having a more substantial umbrella anyway. The frame feels solid and the whole thing gives me more confidence than my old compact ones. Very happy with it.

Dave Leon

Really pleased with this umbrella.

Really pleased with this umbrella. It's stood up to the upstate New York wind, and the automatic open/close is handy. More than I'd normally pay for an umbrella, but it's holding up well enough to justify it. I usually manage to wreck umbrellas pretty quickly.

Jeffrey Hays

The oval loop handle is a nice detail as well.

I ordered three of these umbrellas for a baby shower I am arranging for my daughter. They feel nicely put together and the button makes them straightforward to open. The rounded canopy has a lovely shape. The oval loop handle is a nice detail as well. The two things that drew me to them were the simple look and the beige color. It is a much prettier shade in person than the picture suggests. One star off as I would like a bit more coverage for rain. As a sun umbrella, though, I like these a lot!

Elijah Garrett

Nothing complicated about it, just a well constructed umbrella.

When you head to a game, isn't it better to be prepared for rain instead of hoping it stays dry? This umbrella Does that job nicely, and it's easy enough to take along. Nothing complicated about it, just a well constructed umbrella. I am very satisfied with it overall.

Maria Blanchard

Usually they seem quite taken with it once I explain.

I carry it around the university and occasionally another student asks what the loop on the handle is for. Usually they seem quite taken with it once I explain. It is a little bigger folded than I'd like, but that's about it. I go past the university police office every day and nobody has ever given it more than a glance, which is probably the sensible reaction

Michael Barry

It suits the job I had in mind.

Finding an umbrella that gives me decent cover without taking over my briefcase has taken longer than it should. The tiny folding ones I've used always left too much of me exposed in the rain. This one is about 105 cm across when open and roughly 40 cm packed down, so it gives me useful coverage and still fits in the outside section of my briefcase. It doesn't fold to pocket size, but that wasn't what I needed. So far the canopy hasn't let any water through, and it has stayed steady in the wind I've encountered. It suits the job I had in mind.

Guy Mooney

This umbrella gets people talking.

This umbrella gets people talking. if you like something a little different, the loop at the end gives people a reason to look twice. My classmates were more interested in it than i expected...then...out comes the canopy and it is actually useful too. Doesnt feel much heavier than an ordinary umbrella, and there is plenty of room over my head when the rain starts. Not some enormous thing to drag around either. a bit different without being silly, i really like it! =D

Eileen Richmond

This one is my little patch of SHADE.

After having quite a few skin spots removed, my dermatologist advised spending less time in direct sun. Teaching in Texas means taking my class outdoors every day, so an umbrella for shade made sense. This one is my little patch of SHADE. Good points: cuts down a LOT of glare, easy button opening, packs away, and the fabric seems good. Standing underneath is much nicer than being in direct sunshine. Not so good: I still have to be careful on windy days. For someone wanting shade during those daily outdoor stretches, I would certainly recommend it.

Kyle Wells

I'd wanted a folding umbrella like this for ages!

I'd wanted a folding umbrella like this for ages! Finally getting one was exciting enough, but I honestly wasn't expecting it to feel this nice for what I paid. I liked the look, that was my main reason for buying it! Then I actually opened it and thought, hang on, this feels really solid! The pink is lovely and the whole thing feels well put together. The button action is good too! Living in Southern California meant I couldn't give it a proper rain outing straight away. A few weeks of looking at it and waiting! Sunday finally brought some rain!! Out came the umbrella, it kept me dry, and I got to enjoy watching my team win as well!

Valerie Esparza

Overall I think we got a good deal and I'm delighted with them!

These are for a fabric painting project with my daughter's second grade class, then the school will auction them at the spring fundraiser. The beige is a nice plain background for what the children are planning. I was pleased by how tidy they looked and how substantial they felt, not flimsy props. A press of the button opens them without fuss. Overall I think we got a good deal and I'm delighted with them!

I purchased four umbrellas for guests to use when walking out to a cab in wet weather. The construction is very good, with a comfortable loop handle and useful coverage for a guest who also has luggage to manage. They are easy to keep ready between uses and convenient to carry out to the entrance. I am satisfied with the purchase and would recommend them for this purpose.

Reginald Meza

This has been useful for us.

This has been useful for us. My husband used a basic umbrella before and we weren't pleased with that one. This feels much better quality, no need carrying an extra one just in case anymore. A little expensive but I'm still glad we got it. Hopefully it will be with us for a long time.

Strong umbrella, a very good companion for the raindrops game, stays steady in the wind I've met, easily the nicest one I've owned, I would tell anyone to get it, many thanks 😘 I'm so happy with this, next I want them for the family, recommended a thousand times over

Brent Dominguez

Fits my bag nicely, though I did picture something bigger.

Fits my bag nicely, though I did picture something bigger. That's on me for not checking the dimensions properly. It hasn't been out in the rain yet, so I can't say much about that, but it seems well put together. Around here rain usually comes with wind, and I wanted something reasonably sturdy.

Hayley Solomon

I thought the price was reasonable for how useful it's been.

Sitting through baseball games in the sun is much nicer with an umbrella like this. Another mom at the field pointed me toward it, and now I've ended up with two, one for my car and one for my husband's truck. It's easy to bring along and feels sturdy without being a huge umbrella to carry around. We've used it for shade and for the showers that turn up here in Hawaii, and it's done a good job at both. I thought the price was reasonable for how useful it's been. A few other families have asked about it and I've been happy to recommend it. There's enough shade for me while watching a game, and getting out of the direct sun makes such a difference. Much more pleasant than sitting there squinting and baking through the whole afternoon!

Daisy Hutchinson

Feels secure in use and hasn't inverted on me.

After going through quite a few umbrellas, this is the one I've liked best. You can feel the difference just handling it out of the box. I'm forever getting into the car then out again at stores, and the button saves me so much fiddling. It opens quickly, gathers the canopy with another press, and I push the shaft down to pack it away. Feels secure in use and hasn't inverted on me. Overall I'm very satistfied, would buy another.

Shawna Lucero

There's plenty of cover while he walks beside us.

Our three year old asked for an umbrella at Christmas, so we looked through quite a few before picking this one. He likes the way it looks and is very proud to have his own. It's a proper sized umbrella rather than a tiny child's one, so we handle the button and help him with it on our walks. There's plenty of cover while he walks beside us.The funny part is persuading him to put it away, as he'd happily have it open wherever he happens to be.

Denise Knight

It keeps me dry and has felt steady in gusty showers.

I've got two of these, and neither is quite as small a bundle as I would like when packed. Getting the folds straight and everything packed down (especially if I'm rushing, etcetera) takes a bit of fiddling. That said, the darn thing is good at its actual job. It keeps me dry and has felt steady in gusty showers. So, not faultless for carrying, but a very useful umbrella when the weather turns.

Edgar Rodriguez

Happy to recommend it :)

So, I use public transport for pretty much everything, and arriving somewhere with wet hair is not my idea of a good start. Mine is curly and I wear it natural, so pulling a hood tight over it isn't much better than the rain. Having this along has been a lovely solution. The canopy reaches far enough over me to keep my hair and shoulders dry, without needing anything on my head. I hold it up where I can see ahead easily, which works much better for me than hiding inside a hood. It does open with a bit of a snap, but I just leave space around me. Mostly I'm glad to get to work dry and without squashed curls. Happy to recommend it :)
