it works well with the button and feels like it should hold up.
My mom wants plenty of umbrella above her but not a long one to carry around, so this suits her nicely. it works well with the button and feels like it should hold up. theres plenty of room when open and it folds small enough to keep in the door storage of her car.

In Florida a decent umbrella is a MUST!
Got one for my daughter. In Florida a decent umbrella is a MUST!This has: Quick button openingGood cover over the shouldersA smart lookA really solid feelClosing the canopy is a button job too, I shorten the stem by hand afterwards. She liked hers so much I ordered one for myself as well. Definitely a good buy!

A purchase I am happy to recommend 🔥
With a few weeks of use behind me, I can say I am satisfied. Everything works as I expected, the frame feels substantial for what it cost, and it has handled rainy, breezy days without giving me any trouble. Opening is quick and the canopy closes neatly when I press the button; the action feels smooth. A purchase I am happy to recommend 🔥

Beige is an easy colour for that.
I've had enough of umbrellas that you grab in a hurry and then end up replacing all over again. This one has actually stayed in use, which is why I'm finally getting around to writing about it. I find reviews written after some use more helpful than the ones written straight out of the package, so here is mine. It's been such a useful little umbrella that I ended up getting another, partly because yes, I like things that go with what I'm wearing. Beige is an easy colour for that. Living in the city, it's tempting to grab whatever a street vendor has when the rain catches you. I did that plenty before deciding I'd rather keep a decent umbrella in my bag. The button is convenient for opening the canopy and bringing it closed again. On rainy, blustery days it has held its shape nicely. I've seen other umbrellas getting turned inside out nearby while mine stayed put, and honestly that's when you appreciate something a bit more substantial. It has kept me dry without being a huge thing to drag around. My one little gripe is gathering the folds up neatly afterwards. Sometimes I have to fiddle with it to get everything wrapped as tidily as I'd like. Not a big deal, it doesn't change how well it works and I don't spend much time thinking about it once it's put away. What matters to me is that I can carry it without having to plan around it, and it's ready when I need it. Small enough for my purse, dependable when the weather changes on me. I'm glad I stopped buying the throwaway ones.

Happy to have it ready.
I wanted an umbrella so I could keep up my walks through California's rainy season. Then we hardly had any rain at all. I've managed to use it twice and it did what I needed. After a long walk my hand does notice the weight a little, but for normal trips out it is perfectly manageable. Happy to have it ready.

Knowing that, I don't find the closing difficult.
Our umbrella supply needed topping up, so I bought a few different types to see which suited us. None of them was a bad choice, but I keep reaching for this one. The oval handle is comfortable to hold, and being able to clip it onto a bag is useful. I also like having a button to open it instead of pushing everything up by hand. A second press draws the fabric in, and I shorten the shaft by hand. Knowing that, I don't find the closing difficult. If the kids borrow it I'll show them that part first, rather than assume they know. Had I tried this one first I might have bought more of the same instead of experimenting. For the money it compares well with what I've seen in the shops, and I'd recommend it.

Works for what I wanted.
Works for what I wanted. I'm doing a lolita cosplay and this umbrella fits it nicely, I love it. Just don't be rough with it, any regular umbrella can break if you treat it badly. It can be used in rain as well so yay! I'd recommend it for cosplay, not something I'd hand to children <.<

Good little everyday umbrella and worth the money.
For what I paid, I've had plenty of use from this umbrella. The handle is more practical than fancy, and I wouldn't expect a compact umbrella to beat every gust (living near a lake teaches you that). Also watch it when shutting car doors, no umbrella needs that sort of treatment. Good little everyday umbrella and worth the money. (Two years of carrying it, and no I wouldn't recommend jousting with it either)

I gave her this to hold for a bit of shade.
My mother lives in assisted living and gets about in a electric wheelchair. She likes sitting outdoors, but loses track of how long she's been in the sunshine. I gave her this to hold for a bit of shade. She says sitting out feels cooler now and she's happy with it.
Robin Klein
Very pleased with it overall.
Compact umbrellas have usually suited me, and this is my favourite so far. The button opens it and folds the canopy neatly; you still push the shaft down by hand afterwards. For something I can carry in a bag it feels very well put together. I do wonder how the ribs will manage in a really strong wind, but that's caution rather than a problem I've had. Very pleased with it overall.
Michael Olsen
I can recommend this one with a good feeling.
If you are still going back and forth over which umbrella to get,
I can recommend this one with a good feeling.
The shaft feels solid and there are plenty of ribs supporting the fabric. Opened out, it is quite a generous size compared with how compact it looks folded.
It feels like something I can keep using, provided I don't leave it somewhere.
It has kept the rain off me well.
When I unpacked it, I first looked at it folded up.
The blue colour is nice, not too much.
There is a sleeve around the umbrella, useful for putting it away neatly.
The umbrella itself slides out of that cover.
Press the button and it spreads open. Seeing all those ribs underneath, it looks well supported without being a huge thing to carry.
I am pleased with it.
Another colour is something I would consider getting later.
Really, it is worth considering.
It isn't the tiniest umbrella when folded, but that hasn't stopped me carrying it.
For what I paid, I feel I have a very useful umbrella.
That is my experience with this one.
An excellent one for me. Five stars. *****.

The difference on the walk to work has been noticeable.
First time I've spent proper money on an umbrella rather than grabbing any old one. The difference on the walk to work has been noticeable. I'm not wrestling with it every time the weather gets breezy, and I'm reaching the office dry rather than wondering why I bothered carrying an umbrella at all. Four stars for now because I haven't had a decent one before and can't judge longevity yet. Early impressions are good, and I'm interested to see how it fares over the long haul.
Larry Morales
Love the green and the button action on this umbrella.
Love the green and the button action on this umbrella. Opening it is quick, and another press folds the canopy neatly. The compact handle sits comfortably in my small hand, much better than the wider grip on my previous one. I'd happily get the same again when this one wears out.
Thomas Waters
Much more solid than the umbrellas I've picked up in shops before.
Countless wet mornings on the way to work and this is still going strong. Much more solid than the umbrellas I've picked up in shops before.I can't see myself wanting a different one when it eventually needs replacing, hopefully a long way off! Why is it so hard to find everyday things that just keep working?Anyway, definitely earns its 5 STARS from me!
Gail Banks
Nice surprise how much room there is once it's open.
Nice surprise how much room there is once it's open. Two people can share if they stand close, and while it probably sounds silly I was quite set on beige because I wanted something that looked softer than a dark umbrella.I like the loop handle too, easy for me to keep hold of. The fabric shows the fold lines a little more than I'd hoped, but that seems pretty normal when it spends its time folded up. I'm sure after a few outings I won't even notice them, and overall I think it looks lovely!
Brooke Barrett
Lovely umbrella to use.
Lovely umbrella to use. Room for me (or the two grandchildren standing close together), but I still watch where I'm going on a crowded pavement. Umbrellas can bump into each other even when they're not enormous. Away from the crowd, the coverage is just right and the whole thing feels nicely put together.
Jerome Mccarty
honestly what more do I need?
honestly what more do I need? opens up and i get my own dry bit of pavement. ppl with those teeny umbrellas still look half soaked, meanwhile i'm standing there quite happy with myself. (no i am not going to chase anyone offering shelter, they decided to come out with nothing). best part is this one actually folds up afterwards, so i'm not stuck carrying a huge stick about. still takes some room in the bag but whatever. Would def recommend.

She loves having her own umbrella.
We tried several shops for our grand daughter's second birthday without finding an umbrella we liked. Found this one on line instead. She wanted to take it straight outside, sunshine and all. She loves having her own umbrella. It seems nicely made, and with us helping at the button she is very happy opening it up.

Gotta get another to keep handy.
Kept this in my bag in Rome and was glad of it when the rain suddenly came down. Not a giant umbrella, obviously, but enough for me and it didn't feel like a nuisance to carry. Folded away it goes back in the bag without much fuss. Gotta get another to keep handy. I've been through plenty of umbrellas and this is one of the more practical ones I've used.

We needed to replace an umbrella we picked up in Japan a couple of years back, and this has been a lovely choice. The finish is tidy and the oval handle gives it something a little different without looking fussy. For anyone wanting a practical present that still looks considered, I would recommend it.

I am SO glad I took a chance on this!
I am SO glad I took a chance on this! Being a bigger lady, I've spent far too many rainy walks deciding which shoulder gets to stay dry! Even with rain falling straight down, the umbrellas I had before always seemed to leave some bit of me outside. I bought a couple thinking they looked wide enough, only to find myself doing the same little shuffle underneath them. Then I'd pass somebody with an enormous umbrella and wonder how THEY managed to find one!
I wasn't completely convinced a compact one would give me the cover I wanted, but what a lovely surprise! I can stand underneath this without having to pull my arms right in. My sister can squeeze alongside me as well if we keep close, which is a nice bonus! It feels solid when it's up, but carrying it isn't the arm workout I thought it might be.
Two days after it arrived we had a proper downpour, so it didn't have to wait long for a test! I came home dry rather than with that familiar wet shoulder, and was quite delighted with myself for buying it. For a quick dash in a little drizzle I probably wouldn't bother, unless I had a longer walk ahead. When the rain really gets going though, I know which umbrella I'll be reaching for!
Don Lam
These seem solid and neatly finished.
Bought two so there might actually be one here when I need it; the kids tend to walk off with mine. These seem solid and neatly finished. Easy to open, and the button folds the canopy too(!). A useful size that keeps the water off properly. I can see myself buying another.
Paige Harmon
Oh I am SO pleased with this one!
Oh I am SO pleased with this one! I am a fairly generously sized lady, and getting all of me underneath an umbrella has been more difficult than you might think! Usually there would be a shoulder or something sticking out, even with rain falling straight down (never mind when it comes at an angle). I had tried a couple that I was sure would be roomy enough, only to discover otherwise. Then somebody would pass with an enormous umbrella and I would think, how come THEY found one and I couldn't!
Anyway, I ordered this hoping for better coverage and YES, finally! I can stand underneath without feeling like I need to make myself smaller. My sister can even share it if she walks close beside me! It feels well put together and reassuringly sturdy, but picking it up you wouldn't expect it to feel as light as it does. That was a nice surprise.
Two days after it arrived we had a proper downpour, so there was my opportunity to find out whether I was getting excited over nothing. It kept me nicely dry! For a little sprinkle I probably won't reach for it unless I've got a fair walk ahead of me. When the rain gets going properly though, I know which umbrella I'll be taking. Absolutely delighted!
Marie Pearson
The size works for me on my own.
The size works for me on my own. Had a slight new, packed-up smell initially, which faded after being left open. I might have preferred a lighter colour underneath instead of black, but it's comfortable to use for shade, so I'm not bothered. Happy with what I got.
Wendy Garrett
A good balance of useful size and something I can take along easily.
As a woman, I was tired of umbrellas that looked nice but left my shoulders wet. This one gives me the cover I was looking for without being awkward to carry once folded. The pink is deeper in person than it seemed in the photos, which actually suits me better. A good balance of useful size and something I can take along easily.
Madeline Meyer
I find that last push rather stiff.
A folding umbrella is what I prefer for the backpack, since it can stay there until a shower catches me out. I'm in Massachusetts and this one has coped nicely with rain and the usual wind. The canopy gives decent cover when I've got things to carry as well. Packing it away takes a little more effort than I'd like; the button draws the canopy in, but I still have to compress the shaft myself. I find that last push rather stiff. Of the several compact umbrellas I've owned, this is among the better ones.
Marissa James
Good coverage for one, two can squeeze in.
Good coverage for one, two can squeeze in. Nicely put together. The oval handle sits comfortably in my hand and the frame feels secure in a breeze. The size to pay attention to is the open width, around 105cm, rather than the folded length of about 40cm. Those describe different things, so don't picture a tiny canopy just because it packs down for carrying.
Ian Dixon
Want to keep this umbrella going for ages!
I expected the underneath to be light from the photos, but it's black. The cream white on top looks how I pictured it, and there's a bit more canopy than I was expecting. I LOVE THAT. I'm still getting used to the opening and closing button / moving bits, so I'm taking my time with it rather than forcing anything. Want to keep this umbrella going for ages!
Derek Schwartz
Light to carry, but with a reassuringly solid frame.
Light to carry, but with a reassuringly solid frame. I use it mostly for shade rather than wet weather, and it makes being out on a sunny day much more comfortable. There is a noticeable difference between standing under the canopy and standing in direct sun. The flexible ribs seem to cope well with a passing breeze, though I wouldn't choose to stand out in very windy weather. Overall, I would recommend it as a useful everyday sun umbrella that can also handle ordinary rain.
Taylor Zavala
Delighted with this umbrella!
Delighted with this umbrella! It's easy to carry when I'm walking and pops open quickly. Does a good job in the rain, I only wish it was a little wider. Two people can squeeze under but it's not comfortable... on my own, it's just right. The frame feels strong and has handled the breezy days well. Glad I chose it. If your after something sturdy for one person, it's worth a look.

Works well for walking the golf course in sunshine, and has been handy for rain too, although that's not my favorite golfing weather. It has a little more heft than some umbrellas, but feels substantial with it. Since my push cart takes the rest of my gear, the extra weight here isn't something that bothers me.
Cory Terrell
I was expecting the button to do all the work when closing it.
I was expecting the button to do all the work when closing it. It does fold the canopy, but the telescoping part needs to be pressed shorter by hand. I hadn't noticed that before buying. It's not a big deal, just less convenient than I thought it would be. Quality is reasonable and it has kept me dry through some pretty wet weather. I even picked one up for a friend. Still a decent buy for the money.
Vicki Frost
Happy to have found something useful in the colour I wanted.
I was searching for a green umbrella mainly to give me shade, and this has been very good on the few walks I've used it. In Australia the summer sun can feel relentless! Nice not having a hat squash my hair, and I still use sunscreen as usual. It is sturdy, a little weighty to have in a handbag, but for this solid feel I don't mind that so much. I like the plain black inside too, it looks neat when you are underneath. Happy to have found something useful in the colour I wanted.

Saves me looking around for an umbrella when I'm heading out.
Michigan weather changes its mind a lot & this has been a dependable umbrella for me. My first one has been around for over five years now. It has been out in plenty of rain, from a quick shower to those days when it just keeps coming. I use it all over the place. Nothing fancy to do, just press the button and there's your cover. It folds small enough for my work bag or the storage space in the car door. Since buying that one I've picked up a few more & leave them in the spots I tend to need them. One at home, others in bags for my different jobs. Saves me looking around for an umbrella when I'm heading out. Very useful.

We have one of these in each car now and absolutely LOVE having them handy. Ours have coped well with the wet, blustery weather we've used them in, without turning inside out. This purchase is a gift, and I expect I'll get more for that (it's nice not having to shop for replacements for our own all the time when these are still doing so well).
Austin Thornton
A decent umbrella at this price.
A decent umbrella at this price. Mine stays in the car for the times I get caught without one. The opening action is smooth and it folds away neatly. I wouldn't choose it for really demanding use just on first impressions, but for the occasional rainy trip from the car it seems quite adequate.

My 9 year old daughter is so happy with her umbrella.
My 9 year old daughter is so happy with her umbrella. She got it for Christmas and couldn't wait to try it. The price felt reasonable. I was a little nervous seeing the packaging, but inside it was wrapped well and there wasn't anything to worry about. She's enjoying having her own to carry on rainy days. Many thanks :)
Anna Roth
That's the manual part, not something the button does.
The closing button is handy, it gathers the canopy up without me fiddling with it. However, pushing the shaft down to its shortest position takes a fairly firm shove. That's the manual part, not something the button does. Still happy with it overall - I've always had a weakness for blue umbrellas.
Faith Nichols
This umbrella feels quite solid and hasn't given me any trouble.
Being outside used to be such a big part of my life, and developing a sun allergy has been a difficult adjustment for me. Having some shade I can carry along makes it easier to enjoy a little of that again, along with my usual precautions. This umbrella feels quite solid and hasn't given me any trouble. The blue is lovely, it does a good job in rain too, and the button makes it quick to put up or bring the canopy down.
Amber Morton
Probably the most useful folding umbrella I've had.
Probably the most useful folding umbrella I've had.The opening action is quick and the button also pulls the canopy shut, then I just press the telescoping shaft down to finish. It takes a firm push, not a wrestling match, which is more than I can say for some I've owned. There's plenty of coverage once it's up, despite it being something I can fold away.Used it through a proper downpour with some wind and stayed dry, with the frame feeling steady the whole time. The supplied sleeve fits it, but honestly I'm usually too lazy to bother sliding it back in, so that part isn't important to me.A really good purchase!
Harold Shaw
The coverage suits me well (I'm quite a small woman)
I wanted something to keep me dry getting around Chicago, since the wind has made a mess of umbrellas I've had before. This one has been much more reassuring to use. The coverage suits me well (I'm quite a small woman); somebody larger might want more room. It is still a bit awkward to juggle with my things on public transportation, even though it folds up. That would be my only grumble. Otherwise it feels well put together, looks nice and has done exactly what I needed in wet, breezy weather.
Carol Hogan
Looks nice opened up, gray outside and dark underneath.
Looks nice opened up, gray outside and dark underneath. Size is about right and the button responds as it should so far. The packing could have been better, though, there was only a bag around it and no cushioning. I expected a box, especially for something with a frame like this. Nothing seems bent or marked, fortunately, and everything works when I try it indoors. I haven't had a wet day to test it properly yet, so long term use is another question. My first impression is still a five star one.
Aaron Colon
Nice umbrella - pleased with it.
Nice umbrella - pleased with it.
Looks neat when opened.
There is a sleeve to keep it in.
The mechanism opens it automatically and closes the canopy, then the stem needs pressing down by hand. The ribs feel firm but have some give.
Still need to learn making the folds tidy, it never looks quite as nice after I do it.
Worth getting!
Rebecca Moreno
Easy once you know what to expect.
An old golf umbrella had lasted me for years before it finally wore out. I looked around for a replacement, then decided something that folded smaller would make more sense for the car. This gray one caught my eye. I like the colour. I like the size. And I like not wrestling with a long umbrella every time I take it along. It has the practical bits I wanted: a button to get it open quickly, a comfortable oval loop to hold, and ribs that have some give rather than feeling brittle. Press again and the canopy gathers in, then the shaft needs a push to shorten it. Easy once you know what to expect. It isn't big enough for the whole family to crowd beneath, but for carrying on my own it is a much handier choice. My wife can pick out the gray one among the usual black umbrellas, which has come in useful when we're outside in the rain. The sleeve is a nice touch for storage too. I keep it in the car all the time so it is there when needed. Would certainly recommend it.
Priscilla Wilson
We get plenty of wind where I live.
That button is brilliant. We get plenty of wind where I live. It's even flipped inside out in a gust, but went back without any fuss and still feels solid. It gets compliments too, which is a nice little lift when everyone's hurrying along looking miserable! I expected something to keep me dry, not something that would make a wet walk feel cheerful. An umbrella improving my mood?!
Kurt Rivas
I'd definitely recommend it, just a few small things to keep in mind.
Got this for shade while golfing, I play a lot and my skin is very fair. After a couple of outings it's been really good at blocking the sun. Like another commenter said, the description no where really makes the shade use clear. It's light enough to hold through a round without my arm getting tired or messing up my golf game. Looks quite big opened, but even at 5'1" I don't get shade over my legs, so plenty of sunscreen still goes on those. I'd definitely recommend it, just a few small things to keep in mind.
Lydia Stone
Good cover when it's open, too.
Took this to Ireland and used it a lot. One press opens it, another folds the canopy, then you push the shaft back in by hand before wrapping it up. That was very useful with rain appearing so suddenly on most days. Nearly left it out of my packing because it isn't the tiniest umbrella, but it went into my daypack without a problem. Good cover when it's open, too.And I like the simple appearance- it looks neat rather than fussy. Spent ages choosing something to travel with and in the end this was a very good decision. I'd take it again.
Danny Bennett
A smart looking umbrella and a comfortable size for one person.
A smart looking umbrella and a comfortable size for one person. The pink has a softer look in person than I expected from the picture, which I quite like. Opened up, it feels sturdy, with a little give rather than feeling completely rigid. It's still an umbrella though, not something I'd lean my weight on. I do whish the handle gave me a little more room for my hand, but overall I'm pleased with how it feels and works.
Robyn Robbins
I did a fair amount of reading before choosing this for my wife.
I did a fair amount of reading before choosing this for my wife. She works at a hospital in a built-up area and often has a breezy walk to her parking spot. Her previous umbrellas had been disappointing, so the solid frame was important. She's delighted with this one and keeps it with her if rain looks likely. A very successful Valentine's gift, and well worth the time spent picking it out!

I'm fond of umbrellas that give decent coverage without being enormous. On crowded sidewalks you still have to watch where you're going, but this one is easy enough to manoeuvre without constantly bumping other umbrellas. I can keep it over my shoulders without having it way out to the side. It keeps the rain off my upper half nicely, which is what I want when walking around.
