Durability: after more than two years it's still been a good umbrella.
I've gone through enough umbrellas to know what matters to me.1) closing with a button2) not spending a fortune3) folded size compared with the coverage. For one average sized person this does the job well. For two, not really, even standing close. It fits away reasonably well, although I never seem to wrap the fabric as tightly as it came in the package. Mine always ends up a little fatter. The cost matters because umbrellas disappear. I leave them on buses, at somebody's house, all over. Losing an expensive one is painful; this is a price I can live with. The closing button is a big help getting into a car. It brings the canopy in, then the telescoping part needs pressing down manually to finish packing it away.Durability: after more than two years it's still been a good umbrella. The ribs have some give to them and the inside looks neatly put together.

I'd recommend it without hesitation.
More solid than the folding umbrellas I've used before. There is a small trade-off when putting it away: the button folds the canopy, but you still push the shaft down by hand. For me that's no trouble, and I like having something that doesn't feel flimsy in a breeze. Opening it is quick and smooth. I'd recommend it without hesitation.

This went into my photography props and has been a really pretty addition. The little girls are keen to pose with it, and the grown-up ladies seem more relaxed when they have something to do with their hands. A small bit of fabric up at the top doesn't bother me, it's not something I notice in the finished shots. I'll try adding a photo from one of the sessions so you can get an idea. For what it cost I'm delighted with it and would replace it with the same again.

Flimsy umbrella's don't do much for me.
Living in NYC, I need decent cover for the walk to the subway. Flimsy umbrella's don't do much for me. This one covers me well and has held up to regular rainy days and a bit of wind. I walk quite a way through the city and it's made those wet walks easier. It's the one I reach for whenever I have to go out in the rain!
Christina Stokes
There's a good spread overhead and the frame feels substantial.
Had enough of folding umbrellas that barely seem to cover more than my head. I wanted one that would go in my bag but give me proper shelter once opened, with a button for opening and bringing the canopy down. This has turned out just right. There's a good spread overhead and the frame feels substantial. Very glad I chose it, and I'd happily recommend giving it a try!

The green is lovely and the whole thing feels solid in my hand.
The first proper outing with this was a walk the day after it arrived, and of course the rain started halfway round. We both managed to stay dry underneath it, which was a nice surprise for something that folds down this small. There is a good amount of cover without it being awkward to carry. The green is lovely and the whole thing feels solid in my hand. I haven't tried it in sunshine yet, but I can see it being useful for that too. Very happy with how it handled that downpour and happy to give it five stars!

Now I can leave one ready and still have the other to use.
My old umbrella had seen me through a few years, and I was very happy with it. When it was time for another, I didn't see much point in trying a completely different sort. This one feels well put together and the button is handy when the rain starts. At this time of year I really don't want to be without an umbrella, so I ended up buying a second one too. Now I can leave one ready and still have the other to use. That suits me very well.

Drying it fully takes a while.
Coverage is good, and the frame has a reassuring amount of give without feeling flimsy. The loop handle (a closed oval, not a hook) is comfortable enough to carry. There's a sleeve as well, though this isn't the tiniest umbrella to pack away. A little weight and bulk, yes, but I think it's a fair trade for the solid feel. Drying it fully takes a while. Overall, a dependable item (mine has had a year's use now) for keeping the rain off.

We are pleased with the purchase.
We contacted them about our umbrella and got a quick, considerate reply. The response felt personal rather than dismissive, which we appreciated. The ribs flex instead of feeling rigid, and the whole umbrella seems well put together. It looks smart and has worked well when needed. We are pleased with the purchase.

Still glad to have a nice umbrella handy for the sun.
Fits in my bigger purse and opens out wide enough to give me a useful patch of shade. Putting it away is the fiddly part. The button brings the canopy in, then I push the shaft back down by hand, but getting the fabric neat enough for the sleeve takes me a couple of goes sometimes. Not a huge problem, just slower than opening it. Still glad to have a nice umbrella handy for the sun.
Ariana Montgomery
As for the umbrella, it's good.
The green reminded me of when I first met my children's mother, which is a whole story. She has since passed away. I'm with a former girlfriend again now, so life goes on. As for the umbrella, it's good. I'd prefer the loop handle to feel a little more substantial, but the rest seems sturdy in rainy weather. It has already prompted a few conversations, which I rather like.
Judith Everett
It's nicely made and has kept her dry when the rain gets heavy.
After being happy with my own umbrella for a long time, I picked this one for my girlfriend. It's nicely made and has kept her dry when the rain gets heavy. She likes the gray colour, and friends at work have commented on it too. The frame feels reassuringly sturdy without being awkward to carry. It's a useful gift, but still feels like you put some thought into it.

I wanted decent cover for the windy weather here in Chicago.
I wanted decent cover for the windy weather here in Chicago. I'm a smaller woman, and this is a good size for me, though a larger person might want more room. It has stayed the right way round on windy days, unlike umbrellas I've had before. My one gripe is carrying it on public transport, it still feels a bit awkward even folded. But the plain look and sturdy feel are what I was after. Overall it suits somebody who want a solid umbrella without carrying something enormous.
Sheri Orr
Size wise, I'd call it an umbrella for one.
I've taken this out a few times now and found it especially handy when climbing in and out of the car. The button saves a lot of fuss. Size wise, I'd call it an umbrella for one. A friend squeezed in with me once, but neither of us had much spare room. I'm pleased with it for myself; for regular sharing I'd look for something larger.

A REALLY GOOD BUY & I'M DELIGHTED WITH IT!
Here in Virginia June was ridiculously wet and July seems determined to follow it. I've been surprised at how much I like using this umbrella. After years of making do with umbrellas I wasn't especially fond of, I wish I'd picked this one sooner. It has already been out in gusty rain and stayed manageable in my hand. There's decent coverage without having to lug a long umbrella around, and someone can tuck in close if needed. It does the basic job properly, which shouldn't be remarkable but somehow is. A REALLY GOOD BUY & I'M DELIGHTED WITH IT!
Tim Golden
She is delighted with this gray one.
My daughter is 2 (and a half) and has been wanting an umbrella of her own ever since watching us with ours. She is delighted with this gray one. We've had it out on four wet days now and it's doing just what we needed. The button makes opening straightforward, though I help with putting it away afterwards. Not too much for me to carry along when she gets tired of it. Looking at it now, i'd happily buy it again - she's certainly happy with it!
Savannah Freeman
the oval handle is easy for me to grip.
My grand daughter was so excited with this umbrella. She is 3 1/2 and couldn't wait for me to open it up. we've had rain quite often lately so it has already been useful when we go out together. It opens wide enough for me to hold over her without carrying a huge umbrella. Both grand daughters want to turn it round and round, so I keep hold of it.the oval handle is easy for me to grip.
Brianna Oliver
This one has a nice finish, isn't heavy and is easy to hold.
Needed a replacement after my son's old umbrella broke. This one has a nice finish, isn't heavy and is easy to hold. My fourth grader manages the button fine; compressing the stem afterwards takes a bit more strength, but he can do it. Smaller hands might need both hands for that part. For the price, I'm very satisfied.
Desiree Lynch
Apart from that, I am very pleased with how it works.
There is a good amount of room under this umbrella for one person without it feeling enormous to carry. A touch of the button gets it open quickly, which is handy when the rain starts. The blue is a nice colour and the whole thing feels fairly light in my hand. Its sleeve slips off and back on without a struggle. Packing it away has been easy too, and the frame feels reassuringly sturdy for the thunderstorms we get in Texas. My one reservation is how long it remains once folded. It won't fit comfortably in my large purse, and it's awkward in my backpack as well. That is really the only drawback for me. Apart from that, I am very pleased with how it works.
Elijah Dickerson
It's a fair bit to pay for an umbrella, I'll admit.
My wife and I were heading to Rome with "rain and wind" in the forecast. I spotted these while shopping for luggage and decided to take them along. What a surprise! One press and the canopy springs out with a real snap, so give it some room. On our wet, breezy walks they stayed steady, which impressed me for umbrellas that fold up this small. It's a fair bit to pay for an umbrella, I'll admit. But after carrying one around and actually using it, I was glad of the choice. A definite "YES" from me!
Holly Day
That sorted the space concern.
I chose the gray umbrella for my granddaughter, but the folded size wasn't quite what I wanted for her to carry. Putting it lengthways in her everyday bag helped, and she can now carry it comfortably alongside her other things. That sorted the space concern. The umbrella gives generous cover, although I would still have preferred a smaller one for her.
Warren Sellers
Does its job, rain stays outside.
Does its job, rain stays outside. Button opens it, another press brings the canopy together; the telescoping stem then needs to be compressed manually. Simple enough once you've done it. I already had one like this and was happy with that, so choosing the same again was easy. Nothing fancy to say, it works. P.S.: This one is blue. Same useful operation as the one I had before.
Jocelyn Kim
A good umbrella with enough cover for me.
A good umbrella with enough cover for me. It has handled rainy, breezy days well and is easy enough to carry. My only grumble is what I paid ( normally I check these things more carefully). Found a much lower price afterwards. That's annoying, but it doesn't change how useful the umbrella has been.
Calvin Young
The coverage for me is GREAT!
I absolutely LOVE having this umbrella at my kid's soccer games. That Florida sun is HOT and I have spent ages trying to find something I'd actually want to carry for shade. This gives me my own patch of shade without hauling a giant umbrella around. The coverage for me is GREAT! It has become the thing I don't want to leave behind on game days. Would happily buy another and tell my friends about it. SO HAPPY!
Destiny Finley
was expecting it to feel cheap for what I paid.
was expecting it to feel cheap for what I paid. First thing i noticed on taking it out was the build feels better than that. Plenty of ribs underneath and the fabric sits neatly across them, nothing looking carelessly put together. all together it has a reassuring feel in use, more solid than the price had led me to expect.
Yvette Ayers
I CAN SAY it was money well spent.
A news programme spoke highly of this umbrella, which is what persuaded me to try one. After having it and using it....I CAN SAY it was money well spent. Mine has given me NO bother. It copes with the breezy wet days I get and I still haven't needed a replacement. Must be getting on for a year or two now. I'm seriously thinking a couple of spares wouldn't hurt! :-)
Shelby Yates
I read about sturdier options and settled on this one.
I'd always stuck to umbrellas under $10, so spending a bit more needed some thought. I read about sturdier options and settled on this one. The difference is noticeable - it feels steady in a breeze and has kept me dry in the rain. At 5'3" I also appreciate that it's manageable to carry, rather than feeling like a huge weight in my hand!
Frank Cabrera
Good quality fabric, including underneath.
Had its first use today and liked it very much. Good quality fabric, including underneath. The central pole feels stiff enough and the supporting rods are uniform. It did fine in the wind. For me the holding pole could be longer, perhaps another 10 cm or so, just to make it more comfortable. Anyway, satisfied with it and the relation of quality to price.
Gene Bowers
It is a handy size for her and the quality seems good.
I bought this umbrella as a present for my sister, who is never easy to shop for. I try to find her something she will actually enjoy rather than just another thing. She was delighted with this one. It is a handy size for her and the quality seems good. Being able to open it and close the canopy with a button makes it an especially useful gift.
Jordan Mueller
This one suits me.
After losing more umbrellas than I care to count, my list is fairly simple.1) a button that shuts the canopy2) a sensible price3) useful coverage without carrying something enormous. This one suits me. I'm about 5'6" and it covers me comfortably, but I wouldn't expect to share it with another adult. Folded up it fits where I need it, though my wrapping never looks as neat as it did straight from the package. The price also matters when you are the sort of person who leaves umbrellas on buses or at somebody else's house. Losing this one didn't give me that awful feeling of losing something expensive. The closing button was particularly useful getting into a car; it folds the canopy, then you compress the pole yourself. I had over two years' use before I misplaced it. No complaints about how it held up, and I would happily have the same one again.
Felicia Carson
I really like the look of this umbrella.
I really like the look of this umbrella.Neat, simple and pretty to look at. There is a good amount of cover when it opens and it keeps the rain off.It has automatic canopy closing, which confused me a little at first because I thought pressing the button would make the whole thing short again. Looked it over and realized you still have to press the telescoping part together afterwards, unless I was missing something.Overall it is a great umbrella for what I paid. I had looked at much more expensive umbrellas, and this looks smart enough that I don't feel I have settled for something cheap. Very pleased to have found it at this price.
Barry Lowe
Possibly my favourite umbrella to look at.
Possibly my favourite umbrella to look at. The pink is gorgeous in person and that opening button is so satisfying to use. Closing takes a little more doing: the button gathers the canopy, then you have to push the shaft down yourself. Not difficult, but that last push can get awkward when it's all wet and I'm climbing into the car with it. Still, I liked it enough to buy it a second time. Mine has had some pretty rough treatment and everything is holding up well, so no complaints from me!
Jacob Small
For regular wet days it works, so 4 stars from me
Its decent for what it costs, though not the fanciest build you can get. Used mine in light and fairly steady rain for around a year and its done alright. Can't say anything about serious storms, haven't tried that. For regular wet days it works, so 4 stars from me

This one arrived promptly, looks lovely and feels good to use!
so relieved! Let me explain the umbrella situation. My Husband had one he was VERY fond of, then HE left it somewhere . We never got it back. Found a replacement, and then I was the one who left it in a shopping cart! Asked at the store but nobody had handed it in, sadly. SO I needed another before he realised what I'd done. This one arrived promptly, looks lovely and feels good to use! Now my job is to actually bring it home with me. I will (try) to keep a much closer eye on this one. Thanks so much!!

For the rain it is worth the money, paid the full price.
For the rain it is worth the money, paid the full price. Umbrella is excellent, I read it is hard to close but the button is easy for me, then press the stem down, a little heavy but this feels right, I sit in a fairly big chair and am also a tall girl, the wheelchair has not arrived yet but above my head and shoulders the cover looks enough. Recommend it 💯. Thank you to all involved, wishing much success to the shop.
Elizabeth Mcknight
I was very happy with how it looked when it arrived.
A friend of mine lives somewhere with a lot of rain, so I picked this as a going away gift. I was very happy with how it looked when it arrived. The overall look is understated and the oval handle makes it look a little different without being too much. It feels like a good quality umbrella for the price, and folds into something practical to take along. I wanted a useful present that still looked nice at the party, and this fitted that idea very well. Very pleased with how it all turned out.
Riley Trevino
I'm almost too fond of this umbrella to take it out.
I'm almost too fond of this umbrella to take it out. The cream white looks so nice I keep thinking what if I leave it behind somewhere, I'd be gutted. I don't often see one quite like it and I enjoy something a little different. Anyway I really do love it, even if I sound silly about an umbrella.
Janice Williamson
Feels reassuringly sturdy and has kept the rain off me well.
Feels reassuringly sturdy and has kept the rain off me well. My job meant walking around alot outdoors whatever the weather, so it has had plenty of use. Too early to say what the long term will be like, but after two months I'm pleased. Nothing to complain about so far.

We have ordered another two of these.
We have ordered another two of these. It isn't the simplest umbrella I've used to fold away, but ours has outlasted the other ones we had by quite a margin. Yesterday gave me another reason to keep it in the car. A friend's front tyre went on the way into the city, in ****really poor visibility****, and we stopped near an exit with traffic passing much closer than anyone liked. While the tyre was being changed I stood some distance behind the car, away from traffic, holding the cream white umbrella open. DRIVERS STARTED GIVING US MORE SPACE, moving over within their lanes as they approached. I can't know what each driver noticed, and an umbrella isn't proper roadside safety equipment, but that pale canopy was certainly noticeable to us against the gloomy road. Several of us came away wanting one left in the car rather than sitting at home. It had already earned its place for rain; after that afternoon I'm even less inclined to leave it behind!
Fernando Villarreal
Apart from that, it's been a useful umbrella.
Slips into my soft briefcase easily, and once it's up there's enough cover for me and the bag at my side. The button shuts the canopy, but you still have to shorten the shaft by hand, which needs quite a firm push while holding the handle. That part is awkward with full hands, so it's worth knowing beforehand. Apart from that, it's been a useful umbrella.
Clifford Russo
She doesn't have to wait for rain to find a reason to use it.
My wife carries this on her daily summer golf outings in southwest Florida. That much time in direct sun gets uncomfortable, and having a patch of shade to stand under makes a real difference for her. It feels sturdily made without being awkward to bring along, and the button opening is useful when she has only one hand free. She doesn't have to wait for rain to find a reason to use it. For anyone spending long stretches outside in the heat, an umbrella like this is worth considering. It has handled the usual showers for her too.
Lonnie Butler
So far this umbrella has been exactly that.
Since moving to the Northeast I've been doing a lot more walking to work, usually in clothes I'd rather not arrive soaking wet in. I wanted something solid with decent coverage, but still manageable to carry. So far this umbrella has been exactly that. I've walked through some really heavy rain and reached work with my jacket in good shape, and it doesn't feel awkward in my hand. What surprised me was how little water seemed to stay on it after a shake. I still leave it open to dry before putting it away, but it isn't dripping everywhere for ages. The black looks smart enough with my work clothes too. I work in the medical field and a couple of colleagues have already asked where I found it. For something I now carry so often, it has been money well spent.
Lauren Stephens
Umbrella looks good.
Umbrella looks good. I didn't notice the closed loop handle properly before ordering. Prefer a straight handle myself. Tried holding it a couple ways, still not my favourite shape. The opening button works well and the canopy seems sturdy. Keeping it, but the handle is the part I'm less keen on.
Amy Hanna
Folded size is easy to bring with me.
Folded size is easy to bring with me.
I took it traveling abroad and it was useful.
Sharing with another person is a squeeze though, I think it suits one better.
My backpack stays drier when I put it in front, still some rain gets there but much better than walking without one haha.

Sent my Grand Daughter one of these in Montana.
Sent my Grand Daughter one of these in Montana. She's eight and quite tall, and had made it VERY clear that another tiny children's umbrella wasn't what she wanted. Those never gave her enough cover, she said. Well, apparently she had this open indoors almost straight away and was dancing about with it! She says there's enough room underneath, so that was the important bit for me. The cream white has also been a big hit with her, she thinks it looks very grown up. I've been told the other children keep wanting a turn and even her teachers have admired it. Funny how a compact umbrella can seem so generous to a child. For me [living over here in rainy Oregon] I would probably still want more coverage. At 6'2" and 250 lbs I take up rather more space than she does! I'm pleased it's worked out so well for her, though. Perhaps I need something described as extra enormous for myself... and a colour I won't get grubby. Hmmmmmm.

The design is practical and it keeps me dry, which is what I needed.
The design is practical and it keeps me dry, which is what I needed. Open it measures roughly 105cm across, a little less than I had pictured but plenty for me on my own. The flexible ribs seem to cope nicely with a bit of wind. I find the oval handle easy to grip and the whole thing is manageable to carry. There's a storage sleeve as well. Closing needs a second step: the button draws the canopy in, then I compress the stem myself. Once I understood that, it was simple enough.
Latoya Cherry
The ribs give a little without feeling flimsy.
Looks smart, feels substantial, and has been reassuringly steady on wet, windy days. The ribs give a little without feeling flimsy.I wouldn't call it a tiny umbrella when folded (check the size), so it's not something I'd squeeze into a small bag "just in case". For me, it's one to take when the forecast actually looks wet. The build feels worth paying for, especially if you want something more solid than the very lightweight folding ones.
Brett Harrell
This umbrella has been great for our little outdoor visits!
Our four indoor "cat~children" have a deck to enjoy, but the top gets full sun. We put grass in one of those plastic turtle sandboxes for them & wanted a bit of shade as well. One is very pale, so I don't like him sitting in the direct sun. This umbrella has been great for our little outdoor visits! I hold it over the patch they're using while I sit with them, rather than leaving it set up as a permanent shade. Covers the bit of grass we need, and folds away when we're done. For the price I am more than happy & might get another to have handy. It comes indoors with us and isn't left out through storms. THE CATS APPROVE!!! A VERY HAPPY PURCHASE!!!

MY last umbrella was a bit smaller and finally gave up.
MY last umbrella was a bit smaller and finally gave up. I miss that one, found it in a little shop i doubt I'll ever visit again. I do HAVE to like the way an umbrella looks and this beige goes with most of what i wear. Nice having shade over me when i'm out walking in sunshine. No rain test yet but i'm expecting it to do well there too. VERY solid feeling, pretty, and seems properly made...not one of those throwaway feeling things...
Nicole Ellison
It has featured in quite a few costumes already.
Our nine year old earned this for reaching an important goal and she's been so pleased with it. Rain isn't very frequent here, but she wanted a nice umbrella she could actually use, not just something to dress up with. It has featured in quite a few costumes already. We've had it over a month and it's stood up well to all that attention.Update ... More then six months on and it's still in good shape, with three little girls all taking their turns enjoying it.
