I never expected an umbrella button to be quite so satisfying. One press opens it and another draws the canopy in when I'm getting into the car. The shaft still needs pushing down afterwards, but that is straightforward. When my other hand is busy with groceries or keys, not having to reach up to fold the canopy is a big help. Rain seems to roll off the fabric well, too. I give it a couple of shakes outside before taking it into a building, and that gets rid of most of the water. Much less dripping to deal with, which I appreciate.

Such a pretty cream white umbrella and a nice size when it's up.
Such a pretty cream white umbrella and a nice size when it's up. I wanted something simple looking and this is just what I had in mind. We've had so much rain lately that I been carrying it everywhere. It feels like a decent umbrella, not one you have to fight with when you're already getting wet. Getting into the car is easier with the button to shut the canopy. An umbrella shouldn't be complicated and this one hasn't been.
Dylan Berry
It's done a fine job in our showers.
We get plenty of rain here and usually some wind to go with it, so an umbrella that only looks good indoors is no use to me. This one feels substantial and the flexible ribs seem to help it stay composed. It's done a fine job in our showers. I won't be testing it with fire and brimstone though.
Jonathon Robertson
No chance to test it in rain yet (it turned dry just before delivery).
No chance to test it in rain yet (it turned dry just before delivery). Love the blue, it looks just like the photo. The construction seems good and it isn't heavy for the amount of cover it gives. Almost wishing for a wet day now so I have a reason to take it out.
Bill Alexander
It feels solid when it's open & not flimsy like I feared.
Phoenix is already baking & with my fair skin I don't enjoy even the little walk to the light rail. I work downtown & the train is fine in winter, but spring and summer are another story. By the time I reach the station I'm sweaty, even though it really isn't far! I had to talk myself into spending this much on an umbrella, now I'm glad I did. Having my own patch of shade makes that walk much more bearable. It feels solid when it's open & not flimsy like I feared. I've been carrying it for a couple of weeks & it's become one of those things I check for before leaving. Doesn't turn the desert into winter, but I wouldn't want to be without it.
Madeline Curtis
We've had this for our little girl for about six months now.
We've had this for our little girl for about six months now. Still looking good, and she is delighted every time the button pops it open. I do the packing away while she supervises. Seems nicely put together. She even wants it beside her pirate ride-on toy indoors -- apparently an umbrella is part of that game now, rain or no rain. It's funny what they take to, but this has certainly been a hit.
Derrick Hester
Probably my favorite umbrella so far.
Probably my favorite umbrella so far. It stores neatly in my bag or the car door, yet opens wide enough that I'm not getting soaked in a downpour. The button closing is especially handy at the building entrance. While other people are wrestling theirs shut, I can collapse the canopy and get inside. A quick push of the shaft afterward and it's ready to put away.
Duane Cohen
Only arrived today, so I took it outside and tried it open.
Only arrived today, so I took it outside and tried it open. Feels nicely put together and gave me a welcome patch of shade. No rain here yet, so can't tell you anything about that part.It has enough weight to feel solid without being a nuisance to hold. Looks good too. I'm eagerly awaiting some rain (not actually), just so I can try it properly. Buying an umbrella doesn't mean I want wet weather.I may get a gray one for my wife as well.
Jonathon Bowers
I bought two umbrellas to compare.
I bought two umbrellas to compare. This one is lovely, but the open size is more than I need. Walking past people I keep worrying about where the tips are, especially on a narrow pavement. Folded away it doesn't seem big at all, so it was a bit surprising. I'm am happier with the other size for myself, although this one gives good cover. Wouldn't a smaller canopy be easier for everyday use?
Diane Mcdaniel
Umbrellas and I have never been particularly good friends.
Umbrellas and I have never been particularly good friends. After getting through a ridiculous number over the last few years, my expectations are not lofty. This one feels more substantial than the cheap ones I've owned, though I am not declaring a lifelong victory just yet. The flexible ribs seem useful rather than merely decorative. In the wet, breezy conditions I've used it in, the canopy has behaved itself, which is about all I ask of an umbrella. I haven't gone looking for weather dramatic enough to test its limits. The shaft feels firm, but the oval loop handle isn't quite the shape my hand would have requested. There is also a small ritual involved in putting it away. Pressing the button gathers the canopy in; it does not make the entire umbrella disappear neatly into itself. The telescoping section still needs to be pressed down by hand before it can open again. That part takes a deliberate push, and I would prefer a little less effort, although nothing seems wrong with it. So far, a reasonably successful ceasefire between me and umbrellas. It keeps me dry, feels sturdy, and has not given me a reason to start shopping for its replacement. I hope we can maintain this arrangement.
Mariah Meza
Excellent everyday umbrella.
Excellent everyday umbrella. I've now bought four to give as presents. Handy to use, and the loop handle clips onto a backpack or briefcase so I'm not always finding room inside. The sleeve is a fairly close fit, which takes me a moment when putting it away. I just fold the fabric a little more carefully and it slides in fine.
Dillon Hanson
I'm delighted with this for what it costs.
I'm delighted with this for what it costs. An umbrella isn't exactly mysterious, it's fabric held out by a frame, but this one seems nicely done. The ribs have some give to them which I like, rather than everything feeling completely rigid. My brain immediately went to other things I could do with it. I want to try holding it under the berries when I'm picking them. They slip through my fingers so easily, and some are just out of reach. I was thinking of putting a mat underneath but a spread out canopy might be easier to gather things from. Not saying this is what it was designed for, it is just how my brain works. Clever!I have already checked it with a glass of water and taken it out in a breeze, and it did fine as an actual umbrella. Almost embarrassing to be this pleased over such a normal object. Rain or a bit of shade, it is useful even if my berry idea goes nowhere.
Tyler Doyle
I notice a real difference standing underneath this on a sunny day.
I notice a real difference standing underneath this on a sunny day. Having that patch of shade makes being outside more comfortable, which is why I wanted it. BUT I wouldn't treat it as something for every kind of weather. I don't feel as confident with it when the wind gets up, and would put it away in a proper gale. For the shade I wanted it for, though, it suits me and I'm happy with it.

This is for my five year old niece to take to school.
This is for my five year old niece to take to school. She loves the way it looks and keeps asking to try it, even indoors. The button is straightforward, though her mum helps push the stem in once the canopy is closed. It feels a nice size over her, now we just need her to stop opening it in the house!
Kiara Haley
Solid construction and a cute look.
My daughter uses hers for shade when she's playing outside. She and the other girls enjoy walking round the neighborhood with their umbrellas, even without rain. Six months of being carried about and played with and it still works nicely. Solid construction and a cute look. I like that the children can work the button themselves, even my four-year-old can open it without help.

This replacement has helped me get over that.
My old umbrella must have been among the longest-serving things I owned. After something like twenty years it was difficult to retire it, rather like losing an old companion. This replacement has helped me get over that. A push of the button opens it promptly, and a second press collapses the canopy. The pole then needs pushing down manually, which is simple enough. It's a much more convenient arrangement than I was used to. An excellent purchase, and I think the price was reasonable for what I received.
Levi Liu
More room under it than I expected!
More room under it than I expected! Usually I'm juggling a baby, my purse and bags, and a small umbrella leaves half of it sticking out. This one gives me enough coverage for what I'm carrying as well as myself. The gray matches the picture nicely too. Feels solid and well put together, not flimsy. I'd definitely recommend it.
Charles Maynard
They're a little heavy to carry all day.
A rather smart umbrella, it gets noticed when I'm out with it. People have asked where I found it. Before going to Paris last year I bought several to give away when I came back. They're a little heavy to carry all day.Still, useful souvenirs, and getting them beforehand left me time for the museums rather than spending half the day hunting through shops for presents. The price made buying a few of them quite reasonable.
Megan Kirby
Not exactly a relaxing stroll.
First, I live in Jersey City, where a rainy day apparently also has to be an arm workout. You see people outside trying to keep their umbrellas pointed in the right direction while the rain finds every possible way around them. Not exactly a relaxing stroll.Anyway, I've been here three years and have tried enough umbrellas to be fairly picky about the next one. This has been the nicest of the lot for me. Covers me properly without feeling like I'm carrying a roof around, and so far the canopy has kept its shape when a gust catches it. It isn't something you can hold lazily with two fingers, though. The umbrella itself isn't very heavy, but you still feel the pull and need to hang onto it. That's the one small catch, and really it's the weather doing the arguing. I'd buy it again without much hesitation. A very worthwhile purchase for the price.
Vicki Alvarez
This one feels like something I'd actually make an effort to keep.
Living in NYC, I can usually find a cheap umbrella nearby when rain catches me out. The trouble is those quick replacements never feel very nice to use, and I tend to mislay umbrellas anyway. This one feels like something I'd actually make an effort to keep. The button saves the struggle with opening, and it draws the canopy in again before I push the shaft down. It costs more than grabbing one on the street, but I think the difference is worthwhile. Now the main task is remembering where I put it, and making sure nobody walks away with it instead of their own.
Mary Burnett
A little thing, but rather nice.
Small enough to carry about and nicer looking than I expected. It has a simple look, not so much like the umbrellas I usually see. Best of all, the man I love doesn't seem interested in borrowing this one.So when I go to find it, it's actually there. A little thing, but rather nice. :)
Lacey Larson
Quite a generous canopy for something that folds down this small.
Quite a generous canopy for something that folds down this small. The frame feels well put together and the weight is fine for me. Its got a button to open it and draw the canopy in again, with a manual push to shorten the pole. Comes with a sleeve too. You need reasonably neat folds to slide it back in there.
Spencer Powers
I like the colour and the canopy gives good shade.
It's around 390g, not as light as the one I was considering, but I'm satisfied. The lighter option didn't have the dark underside I wanted and the colour choices didn't appeal to me. This is pink outside, black inside. It's fine; I like the colour and the canopy gives good shade.
Diane Nash
It has been a good choice during this rainy season.
Where I live, rain isn't that frequent, but it tends to come with gusts when it does turn up. I wanted an umbrella I could trust for that rather than picking up another cheap one without much thought. I spent quite a while going through reviews before deciding on this folding model. It has been a good choice during this rainy season. I carry a backpack with books and notebooks across campus, and the canopy gives me useful coverage without having a full length umbrella to lug around. I angle it a little behind me to cover the bag as well. In the gusty rain I've used it in, it has kept its shape and I haven't had that horrible feeling of fighting it all the way to class. Seeing other people struggling makes me appreciate it more. It isn't the cheapest option compared with grabbing one at a convenience store, but the build and the way it handles have made the extra expense seem worthwhile to me.
Harry Douglas
This folds down to a fairly small umbrella and comes with a sleeve.
This folds down to a fairly small umbrella and comes with a sleeve. Opened up, I find it a useful size for one person rather than something for sharing. Pressing the button sends the shaft out and spreads the canopy. Press it again and the fabric folds in, but you still have to compress the shaft yourself before putting it away. That last part is manual, not another button operation. The centre feels solid and there are lots of ribs supporting the fabric. Some flex when you move them, which doesn't seem to be a bad thing. The closed oval handle gives me a comfortable grip and is a little different from the usual handles.Overall it looks quite tidy, both open and packed away. For the amount I paid I think this is a very decent umbrella.
Jillian Griffin
I've had it two years now and the button action has stayed reliable.
Plenty of cover once it opens, then it folds down to a size I can carry easily. Rainy days are much nicer with my own little "dry space", friends comment on how much umbrella comes out of that folded bundle.I've had it two years now and the button action has stayed reliable.
Madeline Chase
Just got back inside after using this in some windy rain, and I…
Just got back inside after using this in some windy rain, and I thought it did very well. It folds down to go in my purse and the push button makes opening it convenient. The flexible ribs seem a useful touch for something I can carry around. I ought to mention my purse is really a fairly big tote, though -- I wouldn't expect this to disappear into a little handbag. For the sort of bag I use, it's a good size and I'm glad to have it.
Kerri Dillon
I'm used to folding umbrellas and this one hasn't let me down.
The opening button is wonderful, and packed away it is a practical size to carry. I'm used to folding umbrellas and this one hasn't let me down. Only nuisance was the oversized parcel, I ended up collecting it at the post office, rather inconvenient, but very pleased with the umbrella itself.
Gilbert Malone
Only had it a little over two weeks, but so far I'm impressed.
Only had it a little over two weeks, but so far I'm impressed.Feels sturdy when you pick it up and put together well. It folds out and packs away neatly, though I wish there was a little more width. Have to hold it quite close to keep the rain off my shoulders, otherwise very good.
Chris Coffey
Of course our wedding got the rain and wind instead.
An outdoor wedding on March 1 sounded sensible to us! That's what living in the desert does, you start expecting sunshine every day. Of course our wedding got the rain and wind instead. Wonderful for the dry ground, less wonderful for guests standing outside! These umbrellas ended up being just what we needed. The blue looked lovely among everyone and the fabric had a nice feel, not something that looked like an afterthought. Kept our guests covered and added some colour to the day. I'd say they made a pretty good souvenir of our wedding too!
Danny Schneider
The reservation for me is wind.
My wife has Lupus, so long stretches in direct sunshine aren't really an option for her. We already have quite a few things to help with shade, and this umbrella has earned a place among them. For taking away with us, the manageable weight and small folded size are a big advantage. The green canopy looks cheerful, with black underneath, and the loop handle is comfortable to carry.
On our holiday in South Carolina we took it out every day. Temperatures were close to 100 during that heat wave, so having some shade while walking around made a real difference. It was easy enough to carry between stops without feeling like another large thing to lug around.
The reservation for me is wind. A strong gust can turn it inside out, and although getting it back into shape isn't difficult, stopping to do that is irritating. I'd welcome a bit more steadiness there, and wouldn't choose it for an exposed beach. That doesn't take away from how useful it was for sightseeing, which was our main reason for bringing it. We have a bigger umbrella for less sheltered places, but that one is inconvenient to pack. For travel and everyday shade, this has been a useful addition to what we already use!
Shirley Hudson
A good size to keep with me in a bag.
Came back for two more after finding the first one nicely made and easy to carry.. enough cover for me with a backpack, but two people need to huddle. A press to open and another to gather the canopy makes it handy when one hand is busy. You manually shorten the stem afterwards. I chose cream white and like its simple appearance. A good size to keep with me in a bag.
Adrian Moses
Very pretty umbrella (a useful size too)!
Very pretty umbrella (a useful size too)! It seems nicely made as well. I'd pictured a slightly bluer green, which was my only little letdown. This was for a display table at my business, though, and the actual colour turned out to sit beautifully with the mint and turquoise things already on there.
Spencer Ross
It has dealt with rain and some wind just fine.
I needed something to take over from my battered street-stall umbrella. This one isn't some gigantic walking tent, it's a folding umbrella, but it doesn't have that flimsy, please-don't-rain-on-me feeling either. A proper little workhorse and quite happy about it.No soggy shoulders so far! Seriously, there's a decent amount of cover when it's up, and it feels reassuringly solid without being a monster to lug about. The closed loop handle is a nice extra, although the important bit for me is what happens above my head. It has dealt with rain and some wind just fine. About a month of use now and nothing to grumble about.
Terrance Schmidt
The button works very well both ways on the canopy.
After looking for a decent strong umbrella for ages, finally found one I am happy with. Opens up wide and give good cover, already had it out when the rain was absolutely pouring & stayed dry underneath. The button works very well both ways on the canopy. All in all money well spent....

Arrived quickly.
Arrived quickly. It is light enough for my bag and gives some welcome shade when the sun is out. Looking at the frame I wouldn't call it heavy duty, though it doesn't feel flimsy in use either. I wanted something to carry on days when rain is a possibility rather than a certainty. So far I am satisfied. The photo made me expect a brighter pink, but in person it is a softer pink? A rather muted shade to my eyes. Worth bearing in mind if the exact color matters to you.
Brittney Romero
So pleased with this umbrella.
So pleased with this umbrella. It covers my shoulders and the purse I carry, which matters because I walk to work and everywhere else downtown in Chicago. I don't have a car to duck into. Waiting on a corner for the light, the girl beside me had her umbrella turn inside out -- mine did Not. That pretty much sold me on it. I still hold it properly when it's windy, of course, but it has handled my walks well. It's good to arrive without wet shoulders or having spent the whole way fighting an umbrella.

The sweetest wedding "shower" gift EVER!
The sweetest wedding "shower" gift EVER! I ordered gray to fit in with her wedding colours and it worked out so well. Being in the bridal party gets expensive with all the different occasions you need to buy for, so finding something useful like this was great. Everyone thought it was such a cute idea and she didnt expect it at all. Now I cant wait for the wedding photos with it in them. For a bride in the Pacific Northwest an umbrella makes alot of sense! This is definitely going on my list for future "shower" presents!

Good material and gives really nice shade.
It's wonderful! Good material and gives really nice shade. I have skin problems, anyway I need to be outside sometimes but not in direct sun, and I'm very pleased with this. Lots of cover! My mom and I got one for each other. Came quickly too. I say GO FOR IT!

Easily one of the best made umbrellas I've owned.
Easily one of the best made umbrellas I've owned. The cheaper ones I've carried have never felt this substantial. Fabric is supple, the frame feels sturdy, and even the smaller plastic pieces seem properly finished. It feels like a proper umbrella rather than something flimsy. Definitely gets my recommendation.
Norma Berger
Smooth to use and easy to recommend.
Absolutely beautiful umbrella. The beige looks lovely in person. Feels well made, with a solid shaft and comfortable oval loop handle. Roughly 105cm across when open, enough to shelter me without being golf umbrella size. Haven't tested it in strong winds, but the frame seems substantial. One press opens it, another closes the canopy, and I push the stem down to pack it away. Smooth to use and easy to recommend.
Damon Delgado
Thats really all I wanted and this does it well.
The shade from this umbrella is so much better than my old one, I noticed it the 1st time out.No sun on my face and it felt much more comfortable, almost like finding a tree to stand under. Thats really all I wanted and this does it well. Money well spent! (Seems sturdier than the old one too)
Marvin Stevenson
Mine arrived sooner than expected and I was delighted with it.
Such a lovely looking umbrella, I can imagine it looking smart with a wedding party as well as being useful for shade. It isn't enormous, which is the one thing to keep in mind. Mine arrived sooner than expected and I was delighted with it. I'd happily have another.
Rickey Fritz
He's very taken with it.
My husband's previous umbrella disappeared after he left it at a meeting, so this is his replacement. He's very taken with it. Good sturdy feel, a sensible weight to carry, and enough cover for him on his own. (For the two of us I'd still prefer something bigger.) The oval loop is useful, although he says the grip could have a little more room for his hand. That hasn't stopped him using it all the time.
Catherine Mcclain
I like this umbrella a lot.
I like this umbrella a lot. It gives decent coverage and feels sturdy, with a button opening that is handy in the rain. It did get pulled about a little in the wind between buildings, but settled down again. Its not an enormous umbrella that gets in everyone's way, though two people can squeeze underneath if they don't mind standing close together.
Dominique Rangel
Finally something I can walk with comfortably in breezy weather!
Finally something I can walk with comfortably in breezy weather! It has kept the rain off during all these wet days, and I can hold it up without losing sight of the pavement. Not constantly tilting and wrestling with it means I'm less worried about catching somebody nearby as I go along.
Kerry Lam
Finding a folding umbrella with decent coverage has made me very…
Finding a folding umbrella with decent coverage has made me very happy. I used to carry the long sort, but that was always awkward alongside a briefcase. This folds small enough to put away with my things and opens out to a sensible size. It is the compromise I wanted, useful cover for the rain without another long item to carry around all day.
Jillian Williamson
Definitely one I would recommend!
This has been my umbrella for downtown Atlanta, where the wind really gets between the tall buildings. After rain you see umbrellas abandoned in the street bins, which is not very encouraging. Mine has felt strong in use and looks smart too. People have commented on it whenever I've carried it. I liked it enough to buy another for the car. Definitely one I would recommend!
Adam Gamble
The shaft feels solid and the canopy has a nice weight to it.
My granddaughter lives in Seattle, so an umbrella seemed a pretty sensible present. The rain was one reason for picking it, and the other was simply wanting her to have something useful from her old hippie grandmie. I still think back fondly to growing up in the sixties and seventies, and it makes me smile to think she'll remember me when she carries it. This feels like a quality umbrella, much more substantial opened up than I expected from the folded size. The shaft feels solid and the canopy has a nice weight to it. I'm hoping she'll get years of use from it, assuming she remembers where she puts it. That last part is always the question with kids :)
Martin Bryan
This has been a really useful umbrella.
This has been a really useful umbrella. A press of the button gets it up while my other hand is full. Closing the canopy is just as simple, then I shorten the stem and wrap it up. The handle sits comfortably in my hand and the fabric still looks decent after spending time on the car floor. It covers me and the assorted things I carry between the car and office, which is mainly what I needed it for.
