Overall, a very good umbrella.

Overall, a very good umbrella. It springs open quickly with the button and that's easy enough. Getting the shaft pushed back down after closing the canopy is another matter, it takes quite a bit of effort. A pain when you need to be quick, less of an issue otherwise. That closing effort is the only thing keeping it from five stars. Happy with the umbrella apart from that.

The cream white suited the bridesmaids' dresses as well.

A real help at our son's outdoor wedding in July, and it looked beautiful too! We had rain pouring down that day, so having this for the bride made a big difference. The cream white suited the bridesmaids' dresses as well. Everyone had umbrellas out, and the photographs of the wedding party still turned out lovely. This one felt sturdy through the wet and gusty spells, not just something pretty for a picture. So glad we had it with us

Automatic Umbrella for Rain and Shade.

Automatic Umbrella for Rain and Shade. After using this for around a month, I have found the shade it provides especially useful. In strong midday sunshine, standing underneath is noticeably more comfortable than being directly exposed, which makes it practical even when there is no rain. The automatic opening is convenient when leaving the house, and pressing the same button gathers the canopy when I am finished. I appreciate being able to open it quickly without having to put everything down. The open size is suitable for everyday use, while the folded umbrella fits into my bag without becoming a nuisance to carry. The fabric and general finish look neat, and it feels well assembled. It has therefore become something I take along quite often, rather than an item I only remember during a shower. For both wet days and shade on bright ones, I have been very satisfied with its usefulness and ease of use.

What a good little find.

What a good little find. i'm impressed. feels every bit as substantial as the small umbrella i'm replacing, but it fits much more neatly into my bag. not pretending to know how many years it'll last, though the first impression is solid. very glad i chose it. many thanks!

Rain or no rain, she wants to have it with her.

I bought this umbrella for my niece and she absolutely LOVES it! Rain or no rain, she wants to have it with her. The oval handle is a nice little detail and she thinks it looks so cute. I am delighted with how solid it feels, too. It's so nice when something you pick as a gift gets this much use instead of being put away. A big thumbs up from me and I would happily buy another one

Jane Lewis

It REALLY keeps me dry.

I chose this for walking our dogs when it's windy and raining. It REALLY keeps me dry. There's a comfortable amount of room underneath, without needing an enormous umbrella. The pink is pretty and goes nicely with my coat. It seems solid so far and I would definitely recommend it for everyday use.

I am very pleased to have this umbrella.

I am very pleased to have this umbrella. It arrived today, and I opened the package and tried it straight away. Once it was open, I could see there was a good amount of coverage, more than I expected from looking at it folded. The whole umbrella seems well put together, too. I have only just received it, so these are my first impressions, but it arrived in good condition and I wanted to say how much I like it already. The frame feels solid, the material looks good, and it is comfortable enough to hold without feeling like a burden. I have not taken it out in rain or wind yet, so I cannot report on that part. It does give me confidence that it will be useful for my walks when the weather turns wet. A very nice umbrella to receive, and I appreciate the quality.

Looking forward to using this folding umbrella.

I am using a button umbrella already, and wanted to try one that folds down for carrying, so I bought this. For now it opens nicely, but I need a rainy day to know more about how it holds up. Carrying a long umbrella after the rain is finished is inconvenient for me. I want something to put away in a bag instead of holding it all the time. Looking forward to using this folding umbrella.

Kerry Nichols

it looks fine and has been good for everyday rain.

No real complaints about how it works; it looks fine and has been good for everyday rain. The folding shaft and mechanism do feel lighter than I expected, though, rather than like a hefty full-length umbrella. Convenient to carry, just a bit less reassuring in the hand. I'll keep this as my portable spare and use something more substantial when carrying size doesn't matter.

Brianna Reese

I really like this umbrella.

I really like this umbrella. It's my second one of this type and I'm as happy with it as the first. I'm a big man, so I care more about the coverage than how tiny it looks folded. There's enough room for me, though I wouldn't try to squeeze another adult underneath and expect much spare space. That's the tradeoff with a compact umbrella. It's freaking convenient once you're in a shop and don't want to carry a great long thing around. My one gripe is the handle. That closed oval loop looks tidy and feels solid, but it isn't quite as comfortable in my hand over a long walk as I'd hoped. Nothing wrong with the way it works, just not my ideal shape to hold. I can live with that because I bought this for easy carrying and decent coverage, and it does both. It's the handle preference, rather than anything about keeping me dry, that leaves me at four stars.

Jasmin Moody

I prefer the handle on this umbrella to the one i had before that…

I prefer the handle on this umbrella to the one i had before that one always felt too rubbery and had a smell to it this oval loop feels much nicer in my hand and gives me something easy to hold on to when carrying it folded as well as using it in the rain a good choice and I'm pleased with it.

Glad I've got this umbrella!

Rain again? Glad I've got this umbrella!I'd give it five stars without hesitation. There's plenty of cover, it feels substantial, and the construction seems really good. So many umbrellas seem made for one season, but this one feels like it'll last a lot longer. Opening it is smooth and reassuring, not like something's waiting to catch. The shaft, fabric and handle all have that properly made feel. My small suggestion would be to make the logo less prominent. It does stand out, And yet this is still the umbrella I reach for ahead of the others! Really pleased with it!

For the money, the build is better than I expected.

After a few weeks with this and a fair amount of windy rain, I feel I've used it enough to comment. For the money, the build is better than I expected. The shaft slides smoothly and the folding action has been straightforward. I also had a look at the seams and they seem neatly done, nothing that immediately makes me worry about winter use. I usually have a shoulder bag plus something else to carry, so the coverage matters to me. It gives me room to keep those tucked under with me rather than leaving a bag out in the rain.

I would happily choose this umbrella again.

An umbrella was one of the things I included with my mother's Mother's Day presents. She had been borrowing mine on wet days for quite a while, which I didn't mind, but it seemed time she had her own again. I wanted to give her something useful this year rather than something that would just sit somewhere. An umbrella isn't only useful in May, either, so she can use it throughout the year. We always kept decent umbrellas in the house when I was growing up. I tend to hang onto one for years (a couple of years doesn't seem all that long to me for an umbrella... though I suppose that depends how often you need one). The one she's been borrowing is about ten or twelve years old, so I wasn't replacing my own, just choosing something for her. Pink is a colour she likes and that helped me decide on this one. She was delighted when she opened it. With all the rain here over the last week she has had a chance to use it outside, too. Yesterday she mentioned again how much she likes it. She finds the button easy to use and says it gives her enough cover, which is what matters really. My aunt was visiting over Mother's Day weekend and noticed the umbrella straight away. She thought it looked very elegant and asked if I would order another for her. So I did, another pink one. That parcel actually turned up while we were answering the door to my aunt. Being the weekend I hadn't looked to see where it was, so finding it there was a nice surprise. Both of them are pleased, and I feel like the practical present turned out rather well. I would happily choose this umbrella again. Five stars from me.

One of my best buys, easily in the top five!

One of my best buys, easily in the top five! Strong, neatly made and compact enough to leave in the car for beach days. I like being able to sit with friends without sitting directly in the sun the whole time. I can hold my own shade right where I want it, and it is useful when rain turns up too. Paying for something that feels dependable makes more sense to me than repeatedly buying flimsy umbrellas. For the convenience and how much use I get from it, the price is well worth it.

Gabriel Good

The sun barely let up during our two weeks in Bali.

The sun barely let up during our two weeks in Bali. This beige umbrella gave me welcome shade and stopped me squinting all the time. On the narrow, busy streets it had to be opened and packed away over and over. No trouble with that! I bought two so my daughter could have one as well. Both have had a proper workout, and I'd buy the same again.

Kimberly Cline

I've had mine about a month.

I've had mine about a month. Folded it's easy to carry; opened it gives me enough cover that I can walk without worrying over every drop. Cream White looks nice, though it's a little paler than I usually go for. That's only my taste, the umbrella itself has been very good. I would definetly suggest it.

Carol Mckee

A smart looking umbrella with a reassuringly solid feel.

A smart looking umbrella with a reassuringly solid feel. It has behaved well in gusty rain and gives a decent amount of cover, yet still folds down for carrying (a useful compromise). If you want something that feels more substantial than a flimsy throwaway -- this is worth a look.

Billy Hurst

received this as a gift and have been pleased using it.

received this as a gift and have been pleased using it. Fits down the side of my briefcase and doesn't weigh it down much. The button works smoothly and the whole thing feels nicely made. It's already been useful through several rainy days in New York. Not the cheapest umbrella, but I'd rather have something I enjoy using than keep buying flimsy ones that don't last.

Jorge Cordova

Last night's walk home was a good example.

Adding my five stars after a few months of carrying this in the wet and windy northeast. It has been a dependable umbrella for me, with none of the fiddling I used to expect. Last night's walk home was a good example. The rain was blowing across the pavement, but I could keep the canopy where I wanted it with one hand. It didn't feel like a constant tug of war just to keep myself covered. There were discarded umbrellas scattered around the streets afterward, which made me appreciate this one all the more. Mine folded away normally when I got in. Good cover, comfortable to carry, and no drama on the rainy walks I've needed it for.

Janet Barker

Not a bad little present.

My GF carries this on the train to work and she's happy with how little room it takes up. Worth clearing up the automatic part: the button opens the umbrella and collapses the canopy, then you manually push the telescoping section back in. That last push is fairly firm, but no big hassle. She's had no trouble with it turning over in everyday breezes. I think she'd be chasing the whole umbrella down the street before the frame gave in. Not a bad little present.

Brandi Berg

My fiance loved this umbrella when I gave it to him.

My fiance loved this umbrella when I gave it to him. There's a decent amount of room under it, I mean it's generous for one person. We can share for a short walk if we stay close, although a little extra width would be nice for both of us. It feels solid and we've had no trouble using it in breezy rain. A good umbrella overall, and folding it away is convenient.

Kylie Novak

Tried it on the walk home through a wet and blustery Boston evening.

Tried it on the walk home through a wet and blustery Boston evening. Did well. Kept the rain off and didn't feel as if it was about to fold up while I was holding it. It's not the shortest thing to carry even when folded, which I do notice in my bag. For walking round downtown, though, the steadier feel makes that a reasonable trade.

Tyler Douglas

Closing confused me for a moment...

Quite compact, even opened out ^^ Easy enough to bring along every day for those showers that catch you out, and the finish looks better than I had imagined! Oh! Closing confused me for a moment... you press the button to fold the canopy, then shorten the telescoping shaft yourself. I was looking for a clasp to squeeze at first, so thought I would mention it to anyone else doing the same.

Jorge Velez

I don't regret spending the extra.

You can keep buying things that barely last and end up paying again, or spend a little more on something decent in the first place. This umbrella feels solid, gives me proper cover from the rain and doesn't leave me fighting with it when a breeze comes along. I don't regret spending the extra.

Rick Wilkerson

having an excuse to get the umbrella out whenever it rains.

My daughter received this for Easter and likes it a lot, esp. having an excuse to get the umbrella out whenever it rains. It feels reasonably well made and the button is useful. A bit larger folded than I expected, so it isn't something she can just drop in a small bag. Still does what it should, but carrying it about is the little annoying part for us.

Christie Duffy

My only niggle is the size

My only niggle is the size; I would have liked slightly more cover. Otherwise it handles ordinary wind well and the fabric doesn't stay wet and heavy afterward. Folds into a useful carrying size too. Automatic opening AND closing both work properly. The close button draws the canopy together, it doesn't shorten the whole umbrella for you. I think that is where people get confused? You still push the telescoping sections down yourself before wrapping it up. Not difficult, just a separate step, and I'm pleased with it overall.

Bianca Rice

The rain was coming down hard and I stayed dry underneath.

The day this turned up was also the day a big storm hit here! Naturally I had an errand that couldn't wait ... so it got tried straight away. Very happy with the result. It packs down to a manageable size, then opens out with enough room to keep me well covered. The rain was coming down hard and I stayed dry underneath. It doesn't feel awkward to carry either. Putting it away does take a firm push to shorten the shaft after pressing the button to close the canopy. That's my only small caution, and it's ready for the next outing!

Johnny Holden

Nice looking2.

1. Nice looking2. Feels well put together.3. Gives my upper half good shelter from rain & doesn't feel awkward to hold.4. The size works for me without being huge - I'm slim and around 5ft 2, so I didn't want something that dwarfed me. Overall it feels just right for a woman my size.

Isabella Duncan

Really pleased with the simple design!

Rain is pretty much part of life around Seattle, so this has already been useful. The beige looks lovely and makes a grey day feel a little nicer! I liked mine enough to buy umbrellas for my mom and sister in New York too. Really pleased with the simple design!

Natalie Zamora

Excellent so far, particularly on the streets around my building.

While searching for a sturdier umbrella I found this one and thought I'd try it. Excellent so far, particularly on the streets around my building. The gaps between buildings funnel the wind straight at you and normally make an umbrella a battle to hold onto. I've walked through there with this one and it has coped very well. Definitely a keeper!!!

Eileen Floyd

Just what I wanted for shade, and feels worth the money.

Just what I wanted for shade, and feels worth the money. It's a proper personal umbrella, not one of those enormous things you could almost pitch as a tent. Good for the beach without taking up the whole beach! Fold it away and it's manageable to bring along too. Possible shipwreck essential? I'd probably still be saying "Hang on, where's my umbrella?" while everyone else was getting into the lifeboat...

Linda Hawkins

Otherwise, an excellent umbrella.

Four stars, not five. Why? You still have to push the shaft back down yourself. The canopy opens and closes with the button, and that part works perfectly well. It just isn't completely hands-off (wishful thinking on my part. Wishful thinking). Otherwise, an excellent umbrella. Oh, and compact doesn't mean tiny. I know, I know, the size is listed, but folded up it's still a fair bit to carry. Open, there's plenty of room under it for me, and the loop is comfortable to hold. A good umbrella, just worth knowing what to expect.

Alejandra Ford

It feels well made too.

The green is very attractive and people have said nice things about it when I'm out. It feels well made too. A few breezy wet outings haven't left it looking bent or out of shape, and it still opens nicely. I don't feel I have to baby it just because it looks pretty. Really pleased to have an umbrella that seems sturdy as well as nice to look at.

Tammie Nolan

The oval handle gives a decent grip.

A reassuring feel, with smooth button action. Substantial-looking frame. More room underneath than my usual small folding umbrella, without being golf-umbrella sized. Somewhere between the two, which suits me. Packs down to a reasonable size, though not tiny. The oval handle gives a decent grip. Overall, about what I expected.

Jorge Coleman

Just the right size!

Just the right size! There's room to cover me AND the backpack without feeling like I'm carrying a huge umbrella. Folded down it goes in my bag without much fuss, and the weight hasn't bothered me. When it's wet I can carry it by the oval handle instead of putting it straight away. The opening has a nice firm action, nothing loose feeling about it. A very good buy!

Anthony Glover

Really pleased with how practical it's been.

Finding something I can take on my commute to midtown manhattan without lugging a huge umbrella around has been harder than it should be. This one folds up small enough to carry, then gives me enough cover once I'm outside. It's dealt with the rain and everyday gusts so far, which is a relief after struggling with umbrellas that kept flipping over. I can walk along a crowded sidewalk without feeling like I'm taking up the whole thing. Really pleased with how practical it's been.

Brent Giles

This is actually my second one.

Surprised by how much shelter it gives once opened, considering how neatly it folds away. I'd prefer a touch more length in the handle, although that probably helps it fit in my backpack. Being able to open it or fold the canopy with a button is handy at a busy building entrance. I shorten the shaft by hand afterwards. This is actually my second one. The first went missing, and I suspect whoever picked it up decided it was worth hanging onto. Clearly I wasn't the only person who liked it.

Frederick Villegas

ABSOLUTELY HAPPY WITH WHAT WE PAID!!!!

My daughter was 4 when my mother got her this umbrella, she's 7 now and it has had plenty of use. She wanted to carry it every chance she could those first couple of years, even if there was hardly enough rain to bother with an umbrella. It has held up very well considering how she treats her things. I wasn't sure something folding would last with her but it has and she is still happy to take it out. It was roomy when she was little and there is still enough cover now, she hasn't grown out of using it. For something she used so much I feel we got our money's worth. ABSOLUTELY HAPPY WITH WHAT WE PAID!!!! She is usually so hard on everything she owns and this has really surprised me!!!

Kent Peck

Overall, the quality feels very good for what I paid.

It arrived earlier than I was expecting, with careful packaging, so my first impression was good. I had wondered whether the finish would look as tidy in person as in the photographs. It does, and the fabric and frame feel substantial without looking clumsy. After trying it, I found the button straightforward and the canopy opened evenly. It has also been comfortable to carry for ordinary rainy outings. I received a friendly reply when I had a question, which made the whole experience feel straightforward. 😊 Overall, the quality feels very good for what I paid. I am satisfied with the appearance and how it works, rather than just being pleased on first opening the package. I would be happy to choose it again and recommend it to someone considering a compact umbrella!

Makayla Morse

I'd recommend it to friends, and wouldn't hesitate to get another.

For the money, I wasn't expecting something that felt this well put together.I wanted an umbrella mainly for shade, and this has been comfortable to use out in the sun. The button action is straightforward, nothing complicated about it, and so far everything works smoothly. I've spent more before and liked what I got less. It goes back into it's sleeve quite easily once folded, and fits in my purse without the wrestling I expected.I like having proper cover without carrying a long parasol everywhere. I'd recommend it to friends, and wouldn't hesitate to get another.

Beverly Price

What a charming little umbrella!

What a charming little umbrella! I've been wanting something pleasant to carry on sunny days for quite a while. I have a few parasols that look pretty but don't give me quite enough shade, and a much larger one that does, but carrying it soon becomes a bit of an undertaking. There had to be something more manageable for a casual summer wander without taking half my belongings along. This seems to be the happy middle ground. Folded, it's around 40cm long, so it fits into my roomy shoulder bag rather than being another thing I have to hold all day. Open, there is enough room beneath it to make walking in the sun more comfortable, with sunscreen still very much part of the routine, of course. I chose Cream White and it has such a soft, simple appearance. Not an elaborate parasol, but pretty in its own quieter way, and the fabric looks good against the black underneath. I rather enjoy that contrast. The frame seems substantial without making the whole thing cumbersome, and the oval loop is comfortable in my hand. A press of the button opens it, another closes the canopy, then I push the telescoping stem down myself. Nothing complicated once you've done it. It comes with a sleeve too, which I appreciate when putting it back among my things. I'm already tempted by another colour, although this one is exactly what I wanted. One small consideration......a pale umbrella is something I'll be more careful about setting down on grubby surfaces! Unlike some of my decorative parasols, though, I can carry this for an ordinary rainy day as well, which makes it a much more useful little companion.

Ariel Villanueva

Would recommend it.

Paid 4,500 won on sale, but by August 1 the price had gone up to 3,500 won. I've bought this automatic umbrella a few times and it's been good to use. A little heavy, and folding it down takes some pushing, but an adult can manage fine. For children, bracing it against the ground and putting their weight on it makes resetting the shaft easier. My earlier one is still going after more than a year, so this is a spare for if that one gives out. Would recommend it.

Marisa Mcdonald

If I get a year out of it I'll be happy.

Among the folding umbrellas I've had, this one is a good compromise. It goes in my larger purse without taking over, although it's longer folded than the tiny ones and won't fit my coat pocket. The frame feels a bit light at first, but it's been fine through four rainy outings, including a couple with some wind. I'm not expecting a miniature umbrella to last forever. If I get a year out of it I'll be happy.

Katelyn Clarke

Bought eight as high school graduation presents.

Bought eight as high school graduation presents. A practical size for walking across campus when it's pouring, and the price was reasonable with so many graduation open houses to buy for. They feel nicely made, too. Very pleased with the umbrellas, how they were packed and how quickly they reached me.

Amber Spears

Such a cute little umbrellie!

I nearly passed on it after reading some gloomy reviews, but I've been using mine for a year now and it's been absolutely fine! Once in a while I fuss with getting the folds tidy when putting it away, but that's hardly a big deal. Such a cute little umbrellie!

Beth Chaney

Pretty much the umbrella I had in mind.

Pretty much the umbrella I had in mind. It weighs more than the little folding ones I've had before, but it also feels like there is something to it rather than a flimsy frame. I wouldn't want it in a tiny handbag all day, although it is perfectly manageable in my backpack. Mostly mine will live in the car for collecting people and getting the groceries inside without being drenched. There is enough room over me without having a huge long umbrella to store afterwards. The button shuts the canopy, which is nice when getting into the car, but you still have to push the shaft down yourself to pack it away. That takes both hands for me and is the only thing I'd change if I could. Otherwise it's just what I wanted. (Apparently I still have to do some work~~)

Eric Serrano

Excellent build.

After losing the one I'd carried for a year, I ordered the same again. Excellent build. Feels durable and looks smart. Being able to fold the canopy at the doorway with a button saves the usual wet struggle. Very useful. Coverage is reasonable, not enormous, but that's the tradeoff for an umbrella that goes in a bag.

Alexandra Warren

Never gave much thought to umbrella quality before.

Never gave much thought to umbrella quality before. Usually just got the cheapest folding one I could find. Seeing someone use this one made me want to give it a go. Quite a difference! Its solid, simple to use and gives decent shelter from the rain. I don't see myself going back to those flimsy ones. I'd rather spend on something that feels well made than buy purely on price again. This is one I'd definitely recommend.

Joanne Rowland

I chose green, and it's a cheerful sight when the weather is…

I chose green, and it's a cheerful sight when the weather is miserable! It tucks into my car's door compartment without being in the way, so I can reach it quickly. The button handles both opening and shutting the canopy, which is handy. I do find pushing the shaft back down a little firm, but it's a small niggle rather than anything serious.
