Good umbrella for what I paid. The price worked out well for me and I was pleased when I unpacked it. No problems with the fabric or the opening, which matters even when you have not paid much. The order arrived without trouble. Thank you for a good product and a purchase that went smoothly.

We needed an umbrella for rainy dog walks, and this has worked out beautifully. Enough coverage for whoever is holding the leash without feeling cumbersome. I appreciate the comfortable grip and sensible balance, especially when there's also a leash to manage.

Found this while choosing an umbrella for Ecuador.
Found this while choosing an umbrella for Ecuador. Looks well put together. The opening button is handy and another press pulls the canopy closed. More cover than my old compact one, which barely covered much beyond my upper body. The closed loop handle gives me a good grip if a gust catches it.

The little carry sleeve is handy once everything is folded away.
My four-year-old girl is delighted with this umbrella, though I think it's nice enough for an older person as well. The little carry sleeve is handy once everything is folded away. I do the firm push to shorten it, but she likes pressing the opening button. Really clever!! The cream white is so pretty I am thinking of getting myself one too!!

He was absolutely thrilled!!!
This umbrella was supposed to be my nine year old grandson's Christmas gift, but it ended up being a very late birthday gift instead. Christmas went by, then his January birthday, and it was after his sister's February birthday before he finally got it. By then I was wondering if waiting made any sense. Then he saw it...WOW!!! He was absolutely thrilled!!! He wants to carry it everywhere and has had family, friends and people we don't even know asking about his umbrella. That reaction made the long wait seem a lot less important to me. I can't say I enjoyed how long it took, but I am glad I stuck with it. It has become one of those things he is really proud to have, not just another present put aside after a day. Now he watches for clouds and hopes for rain so he can take it out. Such a hit with him & I'm delighted!!!!!!

It has been a good purchase for the money.
It reached me sooner than expected and the careful packaging meant everything was in good condition. I had been a little concerned about how long the delivery would take, so that was a pleasant start. The umbrella looks much as it did in the pictures, and the finish is neat without loose looking edges. In use, the frame feels sturdy and the opening action works smoothly. It has been a good purchase for the money.
I also like that it is manageable to carry rather than something I have to leave at home. The canopy provides enough cover for my usual needs, and using it has been simple. It made a good first impression and has kept that impression. 😊
Overall, I am satisfied with the quality and would consider purchasing another. I can recommend it to anyone considering one!

The loop handle was what attracted me, it looked convenient to carry.
The loop handle was what attracted me, it looked convenient to carry. My previous umbrella had become discoloured and awkward to operate, so I wanted something smoother. This one opens nicely with the button, and folds the canopy without a struggle. The blue is pleasantly subdued and the sleeve is useful. There was a noticeable material smell at first, worth knowing if you are sensitive to that.

Needed something for my walk to work when the weather isn't great.
Needed something for my walk to work when the weather isn't great. It covers my head/shoulders without blocking my view ahead. Seems solid enough when the wind gets up, although I notice the weight by the end of a longer walk- would be nicer with some cushioning(a softer place for the fingers)around the oval handle. Still glad I have it for the commute.

They arrived promptly and were easy to wrap up.
I chose these as a small extra gift for some recent high school graduates on their way to college. An umbrella might not seem very "cool" while you're in high school, but walking between campus buildings in the rain is another matter! Folded, these fit in a roomy book bag, then open out to a perfectly useful size. They arrived promptly and were easy to wrap up. A practical addition to their college things, and I'm very pleased with them!

So far there hasn't been anything troublesome about it.
With my sensitivity to sunlight, a lot of the things I buy are chosen with some sort of protection in mind. It hadn't occurred to me to keep an umbrella handy for shade, rather than only remembering one when the weather turns wet. That has been a useful discovery! I've had this one out several times now, on sunny days and in rain with a bit of wind, and it has been comfortable to use in both situations. So far there hasn't been anything troublesome about it.
I went with black, which is plain but goes with whatever I'm wearing. The material and frame feel substantial without making the whole thing cumbersome. Opening it with the button is straightforward, and pressing it again folds the canopy in. Compact umbrellas are fairly new to me, but I haven't found this one confusing to manage. Putting it completely away does call for a little more pressure than my old umbrella did. Once the canopy is closed, I push the telescoping shaft in myself until it catches. My fingers are often stiff from arthritis, so that was something I noticed, but it hasn't stopped me using it or made packing it away a struggle.
After several outings, my impression is still that this is a nicely made umbrella that looks smart without being fussy. It's been useful for getting out of direct sunshine and has kept the rain off well too. It doesn't weigh my bag down much, and once folded it fits down at the bottom without my having to rearrange everything. For the things I wanted it for, I'm delighted with it!

A handy umbrella to leave in my bag.
A handy umbrella to leave in my bag. I live in San Francisco, where a rain emergency is not exactly a rare event, so having one already with me is the whole point. It is a folding umbrella, though, and there are tradeoffs. Folded, it still takes a noticeable bit of bag space, and I wouldn't choose it instead of a big umbrella for hours outside in rough weather. There is enough canopy for me, rather than everyone walking with me. For unexpected rain on an ordinary day, it makes much more sense than carrying something enormous everywhere. That's the use I wanted it for, and for that I am very pleased with it.
Alan Kline
Delighted doesn't even cover it!
Delighted doesn't even cover it! I've tried quite a few umbrellas because I prefer not to stand in direct sunshine every day. This one is useful AND pretty. I can bring the shade with me, and being outside on sunny days feels much more comfortable. It isn't just something I put up with for practicality. If you also want a sun umbrella that looks nice, I can certainly recommend this one!

Soo happy I spent the money on this umbrella.
Soo happy I spent the money on this umbrella. We get plenty of windy weather here and the last one I had was pretty useless. This one has handled the rain and gusts I've been out in without turning into a wrestling match. Friends gave me that "you paid how much for an umbrella" look at first, which I sort of expected. After seeing me stay dry they were more like "ok maybe there is a reason to buy a decent one". Worth it to me.

She was so touched that I'd thought of her (which made me happy too!
I already have two of these and chose another for a dear friend. She was so touched that I'd thought of her (which made me happy too!). Mine have been useful through rainy days and when I want a little shelter from strong sunshine. I've been using them for a couple of years and they are still going nicely. Press to open - press to draw the canopy closed. Couldn't be much simpler. I'd like another for myself eventually, and would certainly give them again. Pretty, practical things.
Clayton Friedman
Pink looks a bit brighter to me in person.
A very pretty umbrella and the quality seems good--the fabric has some substance to it and everything fits together nicely. Pink looks a bit brighter to me in person. It's a generous size, too--my 3-year-old has a little trouble managing it herself, but I like knowing she can keep using it as she grows rather than immediately needing another.
Amanda Burch
Arrived quickly, which was a good start.
Arrived quickly, which was a good start. The umbrella itself looks solid. Cream white is what I wanted and the finish is neat. I don't get the feeling it will come apart after a few uses. The size is worth explaining, because compact doesn't mean it disappears into a tiny pocket.Approximate figures:Folded length:40 cmOpen width:105 cmWeight:390 gRibs:30.That gives you a substantial umbrella opened up, without a full length stick to carry everywhere. The button takes care of opening, then draws the canopy together when pressed again. You still shorten the telescoping section yourself. I don't consider that a fault; it's simply the last part of putting it away. The handle is an oval loop rather than the usual curved hook, and there's a sleeve included. What does that amount to? A useful everyday umbrella, with rather more substance than the folded appearance suggests. The dimensions sound quite ordinary on paper but make sense when you actually hold it.
Tricia Fisher
A decent umbrella.
A decent umbrella. gray, the same as in the photo. The wrapping left a poor impression, it was torn around the other parcels in the package. Fortunately the umbrella itself was fine and works nicely. Five stars for that, but the packaging was not up to the same standard.
Sara Decker
I feel quite dainty carrying it and it's been a lovely choice for me.
I wanted something to give me shade because my medication means avoiding direct sunshine, but I still wanted an umbrella that felt feminine rather than purely practical and I've had some lovely comments when out with this one, which makes me smile. I feel quite dainty carrying it and it's been a lovely choice for me.
Tyrone Preston
Very happy with how practical this umbrella is.
Very happy with how practical this umbrella is. A quick press and it's up, handy when I'm carrying things. Closing the canopy is simple too, then I push the pole down and wrap it up. The handle sits comfortably in my hand. It spends time rolling around on the car floor but still looks presentable. There's enough coverage for me and the pile of stuff I lug to the office. Just what I needed for that walk.

after reading what others thought i decided to try it, the sleeve is fine although i put a bit of extra stitching across the bottom where the umbrella rests, just something i tend to do with cases, the umbrella itself has been great and i liked it enough to get another to keep spare.
Suzanne Solomon
Its a good umbrella.
I was so cross with myself when I lost my old dog umbrella. I'd carried it for years and, being a dog person, it meant rather a lot to me. I kept looking for something to replace it and eventually chose this gray one, even though it doesn't have dogs on it. Its a good umbrella. I took it along to the annual dog charity walk round the race track, with dogs and owners everywhere. That day was very hot, so it was used for shade rather than rain. It wasn't the dog design I originally went hunting for, but I'm glad I found it.
Erik Butler
Not that I carry an umbrella everywhere 24/7 anyway.
I have a full length umbrella as well, and chose this folding one for my backpack. I still prefer the larger one if I know it's going to rain all day, but this is easier to have along. Not that I carry an umbrella everywhere 24/7 anyway.Comes with a sleeve, which is handy for keeping it tidy after it's dry. The frame looks decent, though I def prefer the feel of a full sized umbrella in my hand. Four stars because, as a compact option, it is better than the little ones I've used before.
Dylan Hines
Opened up, the size is quite respectable.
I've seen some very harsh comments about compact umbrellas, and I do wonder whether expectations are always realistic. I've used several without trouble, so I wasn't put off buying another. This beige one was chosen mainly for days when I'm wearing a suit and want something reasonably smart. Opened up, the size is quite respectable. It isn't enormous, but neither does it feel like one of those tiny emergency umbrellas that barely covers your shoulders.
There are two points worth mentioning for anyone particular about the details: (1) The frame feels substantial, and the folded umbrella isn't especially slim or light. Compact, yes, but not something I forget is sitting in my bag. That isn't a major criticism, although it's worth considering if low weight matters most to you. (2) The closed oval loop handle is practical, but I find its appearance less refined than the rest of the umbrella. I'd have preferred something a little dressier. Still, it's comfortable in my hand, which probably matters more in actual use.
After finally retiring my previous umbrella, which looked nice but didn't last, I wanted a replacement that wasn't chosen on appearance alone. This seems a sensible compromise. The beige looks understated with work clothes, the button is straightforward to operate, and the canopy gives me enough room. A few details keep it from being perfect for me, but overall I'm pleased with it.
Karina Snow
A very welcome replacement!
i usually carry bigger umbrellas, and chose this after my old one wore out following about ten years of use. it's been good- handy button action and enough cover for me without dragging a long umbrella about. Getting the fabric neatly folded is a little fiddly, but i don't mind. The material seems tough and hasn't started looking worn. A very welcome replacement!
Amanda Allison
For what he wanted, it has been an excellent choice.
My husband is six feet tall and rather particular about how much cover an umbrella gives him. He finds this one comfortable for his walk across campus, without having to carry a long umbrella about. The frame feels substantial, and the plain finish suits him. I'm only five foot two and notice the weight more than he does, but he isn't bothered by it. He says the loop handle sits comfortably in his hand and likes the button for opening and folding the canopy. For what he wanted, it has been an excellent choice.
Frank Dougherty
I absolutely LOVE this umbrella!!
I absolutely LOVE this umbrella!! It's my second one and I'd recommend it to friends and family without hesitation. The button is simple to use and the fabric gathers neatly for putting away, without me having to wrestle the ribs into place. Best of all, it looks gorgeous opened up, not just practical!
Denise Vang
I really do love using it.
Brilliant so far! Had it out in some miserable windy rain in london and it coped much better than the little umbrellas I've gone through before. There's a decent amount of cover so I'm not coming home with wet shoulders. It does take up more space folded than the tiny pocket ones, and you notice that extra bulk in a bag. But, I'd rather have something that seems strong and doesn't feel disposable after a few outings. I really do love using it. My one small gripe is the loop handle could have a bit more room for my hand. I can hold it comfortably enough, just not with much space left over, so i imagine smaller hands would find it fine. A slightly longer grip would make it even better for me. Otherwise, excellent.
Holly Johns
The oval handle gives me a secure grip.
These have become my favourite umbrellas. They feel much more substantial than the usual folding ones, and haven't been troublesome in wind. The oval handle gives me a secure grip. Both button actions have worked consistently. Mine fits in my backpack (which isn't a big one) with room left for other things. I tend to keep a few around, because leaving an umbrella behind somewhere is something I am unfortunately quite good at.
Tim Ramos
Button operation is handy too.
A cream white umbrella makes a grey wet day feel a little nicer! The canopy gives good cover and the frame feels reassuringly solid. Button operation is handy too. My favourite part is the oval loop handle, which I can slip over a coat peg instead of leaving it on the floor. Hard to find fault with it!

Wanted an Umbrella with a bit of strength when the wind starts up.
Over the years I have gone through more umbrella's than I can remember. Wanted an Umbrella with a bit of strength when the wind starts up. This one has now been out with me several times and it has done very good. Strong frame and a smart look as well. People have even wanted to know where I found it.To anyone wanting something dependable for rainy days I would say give this one a try. It has made me less nervous about a gust catching it. Recommended.Thank you

The pink seems brighter in person.
Such a sweet-looking umbrella, and the fabric and frame both have a reassuring feel--not flimsy at all. The pink seems brighter in person. It's quite a generous size as well--a bit much for my three year old to hold comfortably yet, but I'm happy that it should still be useful as she gets bigger rather than outgrowing it straight away.

I'm a big guy and the coverage works well for me.
I've been through enough cheap umbrellas to be pretty fed up with them, so this one has been a nice change. It arrived around that bad weather in NY and i wasn't sure how it would handle being out in the rain. No trouble so far, and it kept me properly dry in a downpour. I'm a big guy and the coverage works well for me. It is a bit awkward to juggle on a bus, but once folded it's manageable. Very happy with it.

Sideways rain in San Francisco is such a nuisance.
Sideways rain in San Francisco is such a nuisance. This has stayed the right way round on my walks, AND there's enough room to keep my purse tucked under it with me. I angle it towards the rain when it changes direction downtown. It's a bit bulky in my train bag once folded, but I'd rather have the coverage than a tiny umbrella that leaves my shoulders wet. Happy to have this pink one!
Lacey Collier
Had a look at some cheaper options, then decided on these.
Had a look at some cheaper options, then decided on these. We like walking the golf course, and carrying some shade makes the sunny rounds much more comfortable. These have been worth it for that alone, easy enough to carry along as we walk.I haven't had them out when it's gusty so I can't judge that side of things. But for keeping the sun off us, they've been excellent!
Desiree Shelton
It's a handy size and more comfortable than wearing a hat.
Several people have said they wished they'd brought an umbrella when they've seen me using this for shade on hot days. One even joked about stealing mine. It's a handy size and more comfortable than wearing a hat. Getting the folds neat afterwards is a bit fiddly, but I like using it.

I've used this umbrella so much over the past two years that I'm getting another. Living in NYC means rain doesn't let you off just because you've got somewhere to be- you're still out walking. For me this hits the balance between something I can carry in my work bag and something that actually gives decent coverage. It has stood up well to all that use, and being able to open it with one press is a feature I wouldn't want to lose.
Tracey Jackson
Lovely thing and I'm pleased with it.
Looks properly put together to me. I gave it a trial run out in the yard, hopefully without an audience, and yes it did everything it should. It is a ridiculously pretty umbrella. My wife will be delighted and I suspect I shall be informed that it is hers, not ours. Fair enough, I wasn't planning to parade around with it anyway. The boys can borrow it if they've behaved very, very badly and need an elegant walk in the rain. I think that is a reasonable family arrangement. Lovely thing and I'm pleased with it.
Nathaniel Reilly
Downtown gets wind coming at you from every which way.
Downtown gets wind coming at you from every which way. Add rain and you're trying to steer an umbrella as much as walk. This one is much less of a battle! I tilt it enough to see the pavement ahead, and the canopy gives me good cover. Glad to have it for those walks
Herbert Roach
Hello.
Hello.
It folds down small enough for my everyday bag and does not feel too heavy to carry. I would still choose a calmer rainy day for it rather than taking chances in strong wind.
There is comfortable room underneath for one.
That suits my needs nicely.
Thank you.
Miranda Burton
Very happy with this one!!!!!
My four year old keeps asking to have this out ...up ,down,up,down...lol. She thinks it's wonderful! It feels well put together and is very cute without being fussy. I do the button and shorten the pole for her afterwards, she's happy just having her own umbrella to stand under. Can't say I'm sorry about all the enthusiasm, at least it's something useful for wet days. Very happy with this one!!!!!
Aimee Hinton
Once it arrived I could appreciate it, the quality is very good.
The wait for this felt long, nearly two weeks between buying it and it turning up. Had a few rainy days in that gap with nothing to use, which was frustrating.Once it arrived I could appreciate it, the quality is very good.No complaints about the umbrella itself, just wish I'd had it sooner!
Isaiah Medina
why keep buying cheap umbrella's that barely last.
why keep buying cheap umbrella's that barely last. I keep a few around for sudden rainy days, they have held up fine, I'm more likely to leave one in a bar or a taxi than wear it out. Pressing the button with one hand is so useful, and it packs down without feeling cramped when I put it up.
Claudia Yates
The mechanism works properly.
Everything in order, the beige colour is soft, very nice. It is completely black underneath. The button opens the canopy and also folds it closed; shortening the pole is done manually. The mechanism works properly. It came quite quickly, and the umbrella was ready to use without any fuss.
Edgar English
Four years with this umbrella and it's still doing its job.
Four years with this umbrella and it's still doing its job. The frame feels sound, even after plenty of wet and windy days, and it doesn't look particularly worn. Two things I'd mention: 1) Keep track of it. I'm terrible for leaving things behind, somehow this one is still with me (touch wood). 2) Let it dry opened out before you put it away. I haven't always been good about that and there's a little surface rust inside mine now. Nothing that's stopped me using it, just a reason to be less lazy about drying it.
Toni Miranda
Opening and closing the canopy with the button has been smooth.
Very pleased with this pink umbrella since buying it recently , it looks smart and is easy to pair with what I wear. There's a solid feel to the construction, and it has been reliable through heavy rain and windy weather. Opening and closing the canopy with the button has been smooth. I especially appreciate the comfortable grip, as carrying it for a while doesn't bother my hand. The materials seem durable and i have stayed properly dry beneath the canopy. It has turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for, and i am happy I chose it. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a sturdy, good looking umbrella.
Shawna Mueller
I've had mine roughly a year now, I think.
I've had mine roughly a year now, I think. Still pleased with how it's made and the overall look is lovely. Normally I choose hooked handles, but the closed oval loop on this one suits me. More than I'd usually spend on a basic umbrella, though I wanted something stylish and solid. Nothing negative to report!
Desiree Terry
It's been a good umbrella to have with my golf gear!
It's been a good umbrella to have with my golf gear! The button makes it easy to get open, and packing it away has been less fuss than I expected. I can get the folds lying neatly without wrestling it. Best surprise--it actually goes back into the sleeve, then into my golf bag. Hoping to get plenty of use out of this one.
Dominic Butler
We bought the umbrella for our son.
We bought the umbrella for our son. Rain is fairly rare where we live, so he doesn't get many chances to use it, but now he actually wants a wet day to take it out. It looks smart and he finds the button easy to operate. It's not too heavy for him either, which matters when he's the one having to carry it around.
Kimberly Yoder
It feels properly made and has a reassuring sturdiness when open.
Ordering an umbrella from just a photo made me hesitate, but I'm glad I went ahead. It feels properly made and has a reassuring sturdiness when open. The price is higher than I'd normally spend, so that was my main reservation. I picked it out around Christmas and have been pleased with the choice. It looks smart in person, actually nicer than it appeared on screen!
Brandi Shaw
The price seemed reasonable and so far I am pleased with it.
I bought this after moving here and seeing how quickly cheap little umbrellas get abandoned in the rain. The price seemed reasonable and so far I am pleased with it. It has dealt with the windy showers I've used it in, and there is a useful amount of coverage without carrying a long umbrella. I wouldn't describe it as tiny when folded, and it takes more room in a bag than the very small ones. That is the compromise for the sturdier feel, I suppose. For everyday use it seems a sensible choice, just don't expect a pocket sized umbrella.
