These turned out to be such a good choice.

Rain was forecast just a few days before our wedding and we suddenly had umbrellas to think about! These turned out to be such a good choice. We got some really sweet pictures with the green canopies, and having them there meant the showers didn't spoil everything. They're a comfortable size for one person, with room to stand close for a picture. Now we keep them by the front door instead of packing them away as wedding things. So glad we had them!

It folds small enough for my bag, and carrying it is no trouble.

It folds small enough for my bag, and carrying it is no trouble. Useful for rainy days and also for some shade when the sun is out. I found the price quite reasonable for what you get. The opening button is a little firm to press, but not a problem once you know, so overall I think it's a good choice.

Bruce Fitzgerald

I'd recommend it.

I bought this after getting fed up with umbrellas blowing about on my way to work. I wanted something with enough cover to share, too, rather than one that only just covered me. This has been steady so far, and a friend can tuck in close. The awkward bit is getting it into the back seat after I get in the car. (I need to fold it down first.) That's more my habit than a real criticism of the umbrella. I'd recommend it.

Casey Walter

I do like how it looks though, and there's a good amount of cover.

My one gripe - it DOES take a firm push to shorten the shaft again. The button brings the canopy down, but packing it away isn't completely effortless for me.I do like how it looks though, and there's a good amount of cover. Still goes into my purse - so I'm happy with the overall size.

I'm really enjoying this umbrella.

I'm really enjoying this umbrella. It covers me properly without being so wide that I'm knocking into everything, and it looks much nicer than a completely boring umbrella. The handle button is my favorite part, a quick press and it's ready to use. Bringing the canopy in is easy too. Pressing the shaft all the way down by hand takes a fairly firm push, which is my only small gripe. Otherwise it's a great buy!

Kristina Small

I had to angle it a little as I walked.

The rain was coming down hard when this arrived so I took it straight out. After about ten minutes walking in the wind I was still dry on top, although the rain was getting at my lower legs. I had to angle it a little as I walked. It can't cover everything in that weather, but overall it did a decent job of keeping me dry.

Judy Stone

It gets five stars from me for keeping the rain off properly.

It gets five stars from me for keeping the rain off properly. We have had a lot of windy, wet days and my old umbrella never seemed to give me enough room underneath. Using this one has been a much better experience. I can carry what I need and still have my shoulders covered, rather than trying to squeeze everything into a dry spot. Nothing to complain about! I would suggest it to people who walk in the rain with things they want to keep dry.

For what I paid, I'm satisfied.

Rainy walks across my college campus were the reason I needed a better umbrella. I've been carrying this one for months now and it has done much better than the ones I used before. I didn't want a tiny canopy or something so big I couldn't put it in my bag, and the size works well for that. It's felt steady on breezy walks and hasn't left me worrying about the frame twisting every time the weather changes. I'd recommend it to another student looking for an everyday umbrella that's worth keeping. For what I paid, I'm satisfied.

Plenty of cover for him, nice quality feeling.

Good points first: it looks sweet and the beige is just what I wanted. My 4 year old couldn't wait to try it! Plenty of cover for him, nice quality feeling. The button takes a firmer push than he can manage easily, so I do that part for him.Not a problem with it working, just a bit less independent than he was hoping, which is why I'm giving four stars.

Vernon Velasquez

I'd call it a good buy and recommend it.

My friend needed an umbrella after her old one broke, so I picked this one up for her. She really likes it! Smaller to put away than I'd pictured, but a useful size when it's opened. It sits easily in the side of her car door too. The sleeve it comes with is handy for storing it. I'd call it a good buy and recommend it.

Sara Rangel

Gave this to my girlfriend and she's been using it happily.

Gave this to my girlfriend and she's been using it happily. Fits in her backpack without taking over, but pops open to a useful size with the button. She likes that it isn't enormous when open. Another press folds the canopy down, then you shorten the shaft by hand. Definitely one she'll keep track of.

I ordered the pink one and have been carrying it instead of my older umbrella. Rain coverage has been good and the button is handy, but putting it away isn't all automatic. The canopy shuts with a press and then I have to push the telescoping sections together, so I still need both hands to finish. Bad part is having to line up the folds to make a tidy bundle, especially when I'm ready to go inside. Still like using it and haven't had any trouble in the rain so I will keep it at four stars.

Really good value!

My little umbrella disappeared after I left it in a bar, so I needed a replacement. Someone at work had this one and it looked worth trying.1. Flexible ribs, feels pretty solid2. Press to open, very handy3. Really good value! That's the big thing for me4. Getting use to pink now. I wasn't sold on it at first, but it's grown on me.I wanted these for the office, the car and home so there's one about when needed. Just what I needed.

Mason Griffith

Wow, the quality feels fantastic!

Wow, the quality feels fantastic! It has a reassuring weight, the canopy feels substantial, and all those flexible ribs look impressive. Plenty of cover when open but a neat bundle folded, with quick button operation and a comfortable loop handle. I'm delighted with it, thank you 💚

Willie Gonzales

pushing the stem back down needs a good firm shove.

Yes, it gives plenty of cover, but will it last through repeated use? Hard to judge. It doesn't LOOK all that tough, canopy feels lighter than I imagined, but it has kept me dry so far.Closing the canopy just takes the button; pushing the stem back down needs a good firm shove. I'd be cautious about giving it to someone with weak hands. Also the button is rather easy to catch accidentally while holding it. If you do that, you have to compress the stem fully before the umbrella can be opened again. Worth knowing.

Rose Mcclain

So far I am glad I did.

I read a few doubtful reviews about the construction but decided to try it anyway. So far I am glad I did. Its first real outing was in England and it worked very well... a few people there even asked where I got it. It is larger folded than my previous umbrella , though it still goes into my small backpack. There is a sleeve included, useful for keeping it together when packed away. Just take a moment to wrap it up properly before putting it in. For anyone wanting an umbrella that is substantial without being awkward to carry, I would recommend it.

Jaime Holloway

Mum received this from me at Christmas.

Mum received this from me at Christmas. Ordinary umbrellas can be a nuisance for her to open and fold, so having a button to pop this one up and gather the canopy is a real help. She still pushes the shaft shut afterwards to pack it away. It feels nicely made for our wet, breezy days. Turned up ahead of the other things I'd ordered, too. Pleased with the purchase.

Alec Crane

The beige is quite understated, too

It has a reassuring frame, feels substantial when held, and does the ordinary job of keeping rain off me. That was the point of buying it, so I'm satisfied. The beige is quite understated, too; nothing about the appearance demands attention, which suits me much better than an umbrella that shouts at you.

Sheryl Gallagher

Nice to have one I don't dread taking out.

I wanted an umbrella I could trust on rainy, breezy days, instead of worrying about it folding itself backwards. Chicago gives you plenty of chances to find out whether you've picked a good one.My sister has a few blocks to walk to work and keeps asking to borrow mine whenever it rains. So far it has stood up nicely to the gusts we've met, and the ribs have enough give that it doesn't feel as if everything is straining. I'm still careful when the wind picks up, but ordinary wet days haven't been a problem. It folds into its sleeve when I'm done, which is handy for carrying it along. Nice to have one I don't dread taking out. Delighted with it!

Dominique Maddox

This umbrella feels really sturdy.

This umbrella feels really sturdy. Rain and a bit of wind haven't bothered it at all. Impressive considering what I paid. That said, it isn't a tiny canopy once it's up, so you still have to mind people coming along the pavement. I'll take a little extra room if it keeps me dry!

Albert Horne

Who says a rainy day has to mean looking dreary?

Who says a rainy day has to mean looking dreary? This little umbrella is so sweet, it makes going out in the wet feel a little more ladylike. People keep stopping me with, :"Where did you find that lovely thing?" and I do enjoy that. Puddles don't seem quite so miserable when you've got something pretty overhead. Oh, and I'm 66, still enjoying a little style.

Louis Weaver

the frame feels much more substantial than that.

Small enough for my backpack, which was the idea for unexpected showers. I'd half expected something flimsy, but opening it up changed my mind; the frame feels much more substantial than that. Looks like it should last, provided I don't go chasing wild weather with it. As if I would!

Linda Rubio

Gives me some shade and does fine with rain too.

Its been useful when I'm out in the sun. Gives me some shade and does fine with rain too. Its a bit weighty though, and I'd rather a hook I could slip over my arm than the closed loop handle. Other than that it gives good cover. Worth getting if you spend alot of time outside.

Andre Oliver

My expectations of an everyday umbrella are fairly simple.

My expectations of an everyday umbrella are fairly simple. It needs to keep me dry and be manageable when the weather gets a little breezy. This one has done that well enough, dries reasonably quickly, and the button mechanism works smoothly. The button closes the canopy, with the stem needing to be compressed by hand afterwards. Folded up, it is a practical size, although not something I would call tiny. It is the smaller finishing details that stop me giving it five stars. The carrying sleeve is quite a close fit. Getting the umbrella back into it takes more care than opening it, especially if I have not wrapped the fabric particularly neatly. A slightly roomier sleeve would make that part less fiddly. The handle is fairly utilitarian to look at, but I actually like holding it. The closed oval shape gives me a secure grip without needing an elaborate shaped handle. Appearance is more of a compromise. I picked Cream White, and while it looks clean and understated, it is very plain. Something with a little more design interest would appeal to me, though that is obviously personal preference rather than a problem with the umbrella. Overall it seems reasonably well put together and fair value. There are umbrellas with more decorative details, but I would rather have something straightforward that works comfortably. Apart from the snug sleeve, this has been a useful everyday choice.

Ray Holden

For everyday showers it's fine.

I've had my green umbrella for roughly two weeks and finally took it out in a proper downpour today. It kept the rain off my head, but there wasn't as much room around my shoulders and bag as I'd imagined! :( I thought the compact size would be more practical for me. It looks really nice and the frame feels well made, so I don't think it's a bad umbrella. For everyday showers it's fine. I just wanted more coverage in heavy rain, and at this price I wish I'd thought harder about the size before choosing it.

Michaela Cline

Plenty of coverage to keep one person dry4.

I gave this umbrella to my mom, she had been wanting a new one for a couple weeks. Read some reviews first and the beige colour with its simple design made me choose it. She was not showing much excitement until she opened it, then she kept checking how nicely it was made.Pros:1. Pleasant beige colour2. Feels carefully put together3. Plenty of coverage to keep one person dry4. Button makes opening very easy5. Same button folds the canopy, then you push the telescoping part down, takes a firm push but not a bother6. The oval loop feels strong and comfortable7. Plenty of flexible ribs supporting it8. Folds back neatly when finished9. Handy size to take along10. Quality shows as soon as you hold itCons:Nothing noticed yet.A worthwhile buy. Would happily get another in a different colour.

Getting this umbrella was a good move.

Getting this umbrella was a good move. Plenty of cover for me. As a golfer I've already had it out during a wet round and stayed dry between shots. It felt quite solid to hold, too. Much handier to carry about than a big golf umbrella, which suits me on days when the weather keeps changing. Not nearly as heavy as I expected. Thanks for a useful umbrella. I expect it will see alot more rain while I'm playing.

Finally, an umbrella worth carrying!

Finally, an umbrella worth carrying!I live in NYC and leaving the house under blue skies doesn't mean you'll get home dry. Walking is part of life here. You have to plan for both. I usually check the forecast and put an umbrella in my bag, so carrying size matters. I've had those cheap street umbrellas that seem ready for the bin almost immediately. Some tiny folding ones weren't much better, with hardly enough shelter even for one person. This one strikes a much better balance. It fits in my daypack, although it isn't the shortest folded umbrella I've owned, and opens wide enough to give me proper coverage. Everything about it seems solid rather than flimsy. I also like the cream white because I notice it when I'm packing up instead of leaving it in a dark corner. For the price, an EXCELLENT choice.

Jocelyn Espinoza

Everything else about the umbrella has been very good.

Opening is quick and effortless, just press the button. Closing is where I lose a star. The canopy shuts at a press too, but then the telescoping shaft needs pushing back in by hand, and that takes a firmer shove than I'd like. Fine when there's no rush, less convenient when I'm trying to get inside quickly. Everything else about the umbrella has been very good.

Rain is a BIG part of life here in Portland.

Rain is a BIG part of life here in Portland. I needed an umbrella my son could manage himself on the walk to school. He's far less bothered about wet mornings now and enjoys carrying this one. People have said nice things about it too. He can work the button and pack it away himself, which makes our walk easier.

Bought four for my daughter's wedding... They look even nicer when you actually have them in front of you... Very happy with how they open and the overall finish... Ordering was straightforward and they arrived promptly... Glad I went with these, they were just what we wanted...

Clayton Fletcher

The closed oval handle has a bit of character about it.

We wanted an umbrella for our engagement photos and spent ages finding the right gray. This gave us just the look we had in mind. Worked nicely for the pictures and I'm sure it'll be useful in actual rain too. The closed oval handle has a bit of character about it.

Collin Kerr

Better made than I thought it would be for the money.

Better made than I thought it would be for the money.I wanted it mainly as a parasol, and the shade it gives has been a pleasant surprise. The fittings aren't fancy, but everything feels neatly assembled and the button works well. I've spent more before and been less satisfied. Getting it back into its sleeve is easy enough, and it folds down well for my larger handbag. Handy to have shade I can actually bring along instead of leaving it at home.I'd recommend it to friends, and may well buy another.

Alison Adkins

having my own patch of shade makes such a difference!!!

Being outside in San Diego is lovely but I don't want to walk in full sun the whole time...this comes along when I take the baby out in the stoller..having my own patch of shade makes such a difference!!! Getting out of the house is necessary for my sanity!! I've tried a few umbrellas for shade and this one feels particularly comfortable to walk under..then it folds away into my bag. Not feather light, and I did think about the price, but I am so glad I spent it...much nicer than squinting through every sunny outing.

Theresa Chavez

Now my everyday umbrella.

Now my everyday umbrella. The oval handle feels sturdy, and the gray canopy has that old-fashioned brolly look when it's open. Pressing the button is oddly satisfying, a tiny bit of drawing-a-sword theatre without actually carrying a sword. The sleeve is nicely put together, but I doubt I'll keep sliding a wet umbrella into it when the rainy season gets going. Probably leave it at home and let the umbrella dry first. It strikes a good balance between a slightly unusual design and something genuinely useful. Fair price, too. Might buy a couple as holiday presents.

Mikayla Baker

That is straightforward once familiar with it.

My previous umbrella had been with me for something like twenty years, so replacing it felt rather like parting with an old companion. I was reluctant to change, but this replacement has proved a very satisfactory choice. The button makes opening quick and effortless, and pressing it again draws the canopy closed. You then compress the telescoping shaft manually to finish putting it away. That is straightforward once familiar with it. A well thought out umbrella, and I consider the price entirely reasonable for what I have received.

Kaylee Sellers

A handy umbrella for the school run and it seems quite tough.

A handy umbrella for the school run and it seems quite tough. Our four year old can manage the button, even though fiddly hand movements aren't his strong point; I finish shortening it for him. Last week I ended up using it my self after dropping him off when the rain started. Got a couple of looks at the bus stop, but it coped with that windy Chicago morning and I arrived dry.

Traci Browning

Held up well to our Hawaiian winter (plenty of rain and wind).

Held up well to our Hawaiian winter (plenty of rain and wind). I really should've checked the size more carefully though, it opens MUCH smaller than I'd imagined. Hubby may end up with this one while I find something roomier for me. Works nicely, just my own mistake about size.

Doris Acevedo

) Anyway the umbrella itself is really good.

I had a little confusion with the delivery (it was marked delivered and I hadn't seen it, so I wasn't sure what had happened. A couple of days later it was here, which was a relief.) Anyway the umbrella itself is really good. I live on the east coast and it's often breezy here. My old one never felt very steady. This one feels sturdier in my hand and has enough room over me for ordinary rain. It manages to look quite smart too!

Whitney Marshall

Overall I'm very pleased with it.

What I wanted was something for proper rain and wind, rather than the tiniest umbrella that will fit in a bag. This gives a little more cover without spreading out like a golf umbrella, which is a nuisance on crowded New York City sidewalks. I carried my old umbrella for years, and getting that useful in-between size matters more to me than having something that folds up very small, because the really big ones are awkward around other people and the little bag-sized ones aren't what I reach for when the weather gets serious. This is a good middle ground. The loop handle sits comfortably in my hand, although a little extra thickness would make it feel more secure. Overall I'm very pleased with it.

Molly Pittman

I'd be happy suggesting it to a friend.

I've had quite a few nice comments walking around campus with it. The blue looks great. Covers both me and my backpack, but doesn't feel like I'm carrying an enormous umbrella. It took some effort to hold steady in one very windy shower, which is my only real reservation so far. Having a button to pop it open and draw the canopy shut is so convenient. I'd be happy suggesting it to a friend.

Candice Craig

I couldn't pass it up!

I came across this while hunting for a new umbrella and thought it was so cute. Beige will go with pretty much any coat I own, and the handle gives it a different look. We're still getting snow here so I haven't properly tested it in rain yet, can't tell you about long term durability but...I couldn't pass it up!

Karina Bowman

She's pleased with hers too.

Mine is black and my mom borrowed it once, then commented on how solid it felt. She particularly liked the button and found the loop handle comfortable, so I bought another for her. She's pleased with hers too. There's a sleeve to put it in, and folded it fits in the purse I usually carry. Not the lightest folding umbrella I've handled, but that little extra weight seems reasonable for something that feels this sturdy.

Gregory Sherman

The button works fine for opening and bringing the canopy down.

The pink looked rather washed out on my screen, so I was pleased when I opened it. Much nicer in person!! Still pink, just not as dull as I had thought. My friend (hers was the reason for ordering) is pleased with it too. I bought one for myself as well. The open size is generous for something that folds away. It covers me and my backpack, which was always the awkward bit with my old umbrella. You could tuck someone close beside you, but I wouldn't call it a big two person umbrella. The button works fine for opening and bringing the canopy down. Pushing the shaft back in took me a bit of practice at first, now I find it easier. My hands aren't especially strong so that matters to me.Closed up, it's a bit longer and chunkier than the little umbrellas I had before. It still goes in the side pocket of my backpack, so I'm fine with that. There is a sleeve too, haven't really worked it into my routine yet!

Mitchell Maddox

Certainly an umbrella I'd recommend.

After more than 40 years following my team, I've spent enough time out in the rain to appreciate a decent umbrella. This one gives me good cover and room for what I'm carrying without being enormous. The beige looks smart too. It has felt steady in the windy showers I've used it in. Certainly an umbrella I'd recommend.

Curtis Salas

the button is handy when your carrying other stuff too.

there were two reasons i wanted it 1: i love the green and 2: my girlfriend and i wanted some cute pictures under an umbrella. i was a bit nervous taking it out in a breeze because it looks nicer than the umbrellas i usually use, but its held up fine so far. the button is handy when your carrying other stuff too. maybe a little more than i planned to spend however i dont regret buying it.

Sonya Torres

So the umbrella had to be put away.

I wanted an umbrella for shade because my skin is sensitive to sunlight. A change from always wearing a hat and extra layers sounded nice. It opens easily but feels heavier in my hand than I expected.Today I used it for my grocery shopping. Walking into the store was fine, I could hold it comfortably and had the shade I wanted. Coming out was another matter. Trying to steer the cart while keeping the umbrella over me was too awkward, and I needed both hands on the cart. So the umbrella had to be put away.It works as an umbrella and I can see using it for a walk, but that was not really why I bought it. I don't think I will keep it for the shopping trips I had planned. Useful, with that limitation.

Adam Steele

A nice looking umbrella.

A nice looking umbrella. My daughter didn't want to use one before because opening it always seemed to catch her fingers. With this she just presses a button to open the canopy and is much happier about it. To pack it up I help shorten the pole, so it isn't completely hands free. My only niggle is getting it neatly into the sleeve when we are in a hurry. Otherwise, very satisfy with it and she is actually willing to carry an umbrella now.

Xavier Moreno

Good value for a useful everyday umbrella.

Folded up, this is a fairly small umbrella and it comes with a sleeve for storage. Opened out, it gives me enough shelter on my own. The automatic action needs a little explanation: press the button to extend it and spread the canopy. Another press brings the canopy closed, but doesn't retract the shaft. You push the telescoping shaft down yourself before it is ready to open again. The central shaft feels sturdy in use, and the frame under the fabric has 30 flexible ribs. I like the overall feel, although some of the smaller joints look lighter than the main structure. The handle is an enclosed oval loop, not a curved hook, and sits nicely in my hand.I think the whole thing looks well finished rather than fussy. Good value for a useful everyday umbrella.

Claire Kirk

I would happily recommend it.

Florida thunderstorms were the reason I bought this umbrella, and it has had a fair amount of use already. There have been some gusty walks, with nothing coming loose or turning inside out. You can see a little give in the ribs rather than the whole thing feeling rigid.I am not particularly gentle with things that live in the car, and this has spent plenty of time on the back seat. The stitching still looks tidy and the fabric is secure all round the frame. The button action has remained smooth as well. It is noticeably more substantial than the inexpensive emergency umbrellas I have picked up over the years. Not an extravagant purchase, just a sensible umbrella that has performed well in the rain.I would happily recommend it.
