This will be my just-in-case umbrella for the wedding, as the beige goes with my colors. It feels sturdy and gives me a nice amount of cover. So happy the shade is true to the photo! Of course I'd prefer a dry wedding day, but I'm tempted to have it in a few pictures either way.
I wanted an umbrella that wasn't completely ordinary. After reading far too many reviews I settled on this one. Arrived when expected and has kept the rain off well. The oval loop handle gives it a different look. A few clients have asked about it sitting in my car.
After ten years with my old umbrella I managed to lose it. Replacing it was not something I wanted to experiment with, since I had been so happy with the one I had. This automatic one has the same reassuring feel and I am delighted with it. The cream white looks very nice too. I have bought automatic umbrellas for my daughters in the past and they have been just as pleased with theirs. Once you find something that works this well there isn't much reason to keep looking. The new one opens neatly and feels properly put together. It arrived sooner than I expected as well. I would certainly buy one again if I needed to.
If you get around on foot for errands (or pretty much everything), this is a lovely umbrella to have. A useful size overhead, sturdy feeling, and not awkward to take into shops folded. The frame has coped nicely with gusts so far (which is what I always worry about with umbrellas). Very glad I got this!
All the looking around before buying paid off. I was taken with this as soon as I unpacked it, and now a rainy forecast actually sounds quite appealing! It feels well put together in your hands, not flimsy. In the wind I've had so far it has been much easier to manage than umbrellas I've used before. I wouldn't call anything wind"proof", and I wouldn't expect miracles in a gale. For normal wet days though, this is lovely to use and I'm happy carrying it.
A little heavier than I expected,but I suppose the stronger frame has to weigh something.I have only had it out twice yet. so far it has been fine kept me dry and feels solid, but have not had any wind to really try it in. Will see how it goes with more use and come back if there is anything else to say.
I have carried mine for three years and it has certainly had plenty of use. Rain, snow, the occasional hail shower, it has come along with me through all of it. I've only had it turn inside out once.Pretty good! The button opens it quickly and gathers the canopy again, then I shorten it by hand. Tucks away neatly but gives decent coverage when up. Love having it!
I gave this to one of my coworkers as a gift and he loved the way it looked. After a few uses he told me his wife wanted one too, which says a lot. He says it feels solid when it's windy and the button has been handy.I'd definitely recommend it...looks like I'll be buying another, only this time I'm keeping it for myself :-)
For my girlfriend's birthday I picked this umbrella and she was delighted. Not the most dramatic sounding present, i know, but it looks good and feels like a proper useful thing rather than a novelty. It arrived looking just right and i have one very happy girlfriend. Zombies would probably be unimpressed, but apparently they have terrible taste in birthday presents... So there's that. As an actual umbrella though, this has been a thoroughly successful choice.
I've used an umbrella for sun cover for years now. With my hair getting thin on top, holding one over me is more comfortable than wearing a hat. No flattened hair afterwards! This one replaces the umbrella I lost, and gives me a nice patch of shade when it's hot. Best for one person. You can huddle two underneath, but don't expect both of you to be completely covered.
Brilliant!! This feels sturdy enough to stay with me for ages!! Looks smart too! Opening and closing are simple, and there's a generous amount of cover. My daughter and I got stuck in absolutely pouring rain with gusts coming at us from all directions - even driving the rain sideways. The car was way over in the parking lot and I had a meeting, so I was anxious about getting soaked. We squeezed in together underneath and made our way over. Honestly, when we got into the car our hair was still DRY! That sold me on it!!
Cute umbrella and it feels reasonably strong for my nearly three year old. He was keen to try it and worked out the button pretty quickly, though I still push the shaft back in for him. The oval loop handle is the bit I'm less keen on. It isn't as comfortable in my hand as I expected, especially when I'm also trying to hold the baby and keep an eye on him. I would prefer a grip that suited us a little better. He is so taken with his umbrella that I wouldn't take it away from him now. Otherwise it opens well and gives useful cover. One star off for the handle, but he is delighted with it.
My old automatic umbrella needed replacing, so I went for this. The canopy shuts with the button, then I have to push the shaft down, a bit of a faff but worth it for the convenience. Friends tease me for how girly it looks, doesn't bother me, I like using it.
The black is a little flatter than I expected from the pictures (not a shiny, deep finish) but still looks smart.The handle is quite plain and functional rather than fancy. Most of my fuss was with the packaging, which seemed more involved than it needed to be. There was plastic around it, padding around that, then more wrapping to get through. Some of the layers were taped together so I had to go slowly with the scissors. Nothing wrong with the umbrella once I reached it, just rather a lot to unwrap for something I wanted to take out and use!
Having this umbrella along makes being outside in summer so much nicer. People often notice it and say something nice about it too. I'm a fair skinned redhead, and standing around in blazing sunshine is not my idea of fun. I used it at an outdoor fair last summer and again at my school reunion, where there wasn't much shade to be found. Being able to make my own patch of shade was such a relief...it really earned its place in my bag. There's something reassuring about knowing it's there when I head out. It looks nice as well! Once folded it's easy enough to carry around, and opening it again is quick. A very useful thing to have with me.
At my age I nearly talked myself out of choosing something pretty, thinking I ought to stick to plain. Then I thought why should getting older mean everything has to be dull. We have all those pretty little things as girls and somewhere along the way stop choosing them for ourselves. Well I am glad I didn't this time. People have said how lovely it is and that makes me smile.
The material feels substantial and it does what I needed it to do! My summer walk from the subway to work is much nicer with some shade overhead. Having to wear a suit in that heat isn't fun, but keeping the sun off makes it more bearable. There's enough width to shade my shoulders and upper body too, not just a little patch over my head.
My husband's last umbrella disappeared after he forgot it at a meeting, so this was his replacement. He's very happy with it. Good solid feel, manageable weight and enough cover just for him. (I have a bigger one for when we're out together and don't want to carry two.) The only thing he'd change is the grip size--his hands are big and he'd prefer a little more room around the handle.
The beige looks lovely and the size suits me perfectly. I'm still a little cautious about how it'll wear, as I've had disappointing umbrellas before. This one has opened and closed nicely so far, and it feels like a good buy. If it keeps that up I'll be delighted. Just early days for judging lasting quality.

This is my second umbrella of this kind, and this one was selected especially for my best friend in New Orleans. She was delighted with its appearance and how nicely it opens. With so much rain there, it stays close by whenever she goes out for the day. It is lovely to give something that is both attractive and genuinely useful. We are both very happy with this purchase and gift
I couldn't leave my granddaughter without one after getting an umbrella for my grandson. She absolutely loves hers! Needed some help pressing the button at first, little hands and all that. But once it is up, watch out, she wants to parade about with it. Arrived promptly and packed securely. Thank you..
so happy with this umbrella!the green is lovely, and it feels light in my tote so carrying it around isn't a bother!not sure there's room for two people under it though, so the very wet days make me a little worried..but for what i paid i think it worth the money!!!
I spent ages looking for an umbrella that would be sturdy but not awkward to carry, and that might cover two people close together. The beige appealed to me so I decided on this one.I'm leaving four stars for now because it hasn't arrived yet, and there was also a question about the price. After buying I noticed a lower price, which is always a bit annoying when you haven't even seen the thing... I asked about the difference and was waiting to hear back. I don't want that to be my whole opinion of the umbrella though, because the size and folding design are what interested me in the first place.I'll add more once it's here and I've actually used it...UPDATE:The price difference has been sorted out! (Appreciated!) Still waiting for it to arrive, hopefully before the next spell of rain!
It is a folding umbrella;not little toddler size,older child can hold it better. Cream white looks just like picture! The loop handle is closed oval,button opens it quick. Lots of ribs underneath too. My kid is so pleased with it,very sweet looking!! Many thanks
I took this to Europe (where I needed an umbrella much more than at home), and people kept commenting on it! The green is gorgeous and really brightens up a rainy day! It felt sturdy throughout the trip (only went inside out once during a storm in France), which impressed me. Nice to have an umbrella that's useful but also feels like part of an outfit.
It's perfectly fine, just bigger when open than I had pictured. A gust might have me floating off down the street. I probably wanted something a little smaller, although I've never actually measured what I normally carry. The button works well for opening and folding the canopy.
Gave this to my husband for his trips to work downtown, where it can be quite windy. He says it has handled his walks well and likes being able to put it in his briefcase. The cover isn't as generous as I'd pictured, although that's the trade off with something that folds down. He'd still recommend it for carrying to work.
I was due a replacement umbrella, and everything I saw locally looked dull--or flimsy! The Beige on this one is much nicer than I expected, quite a smart shape when it's up too. It LOOKS fairly tough. Haven't had it out in any real wind yet, so can't say about that, but in the hand it feels reassuringly solid.
Looks well assembled. There are 30 flexible ribs supporting the canopy, so i am hopeful it will cope well with everyday use. The loop handle is a little tight for my hand, but i appreciate its shape and the convenience of the button. No rain here yet to give it a proper try outside. So far, everything about it seems suitable for what I need.
I can't stop admiring this umbrella. The green is gorgeous and the whole thing feels really nicely made. A little pricey, yes, but I don't mind paying more when something feels this good. Would be a wonderful gift for someone who already has everything.So glad I chose it!!!
After reading some doubtful comments I wasn't completely sure, but decided to try it and it has worked out well so far. Its first outing was on our England trip and it coped nicely...a couple of people even asked about it. Yes , it's a little bulkier than my previous folding umbrella, though it still goes into my small backpack. That was my main concern. It comes with a sleeve, which is useful when packing it away; I just take a moment to gather the folds before putting it in. For something that feels substantial but is still portable, I think it was a good choice.
May has barely started and it's about 75 degrees, but my heat intolerance is already making itself known. I debated between this and a more decorative umbrella, then went with this one because it will go in my purse. So far it has been out in gentle breezes and a lot of sunshine, and the shade makes a noticeable difference to how comfortable I feel. I may still buy a larger umbrella for being around the house, when carrying it isn't such an issue and I want more coverage. I haven't tried this in any serious wind so can't say much about that, but I am very pleased with it so far.The Cream White is the one thing I'd be tempted to change, simply because I like things a bit more "pretty" and it is rather plain. It isn't as shiny looking as I had imagined (actually a good thing), and the colour certainly wouldn't stop me buying it. It gives me the shade I wanted and does that very well.

My four-year-old can manage the button, though I help push the shaft in when we're putting it away. We practise holding it up properly rather than waving it around (No poked eyes so far).
Ordered four for my daughter's wedding... They look lovely in person, better than the photos suggested... All of them open nicely and feel well made... Everything arrived promptly and the whole purchase was easy... They were a lovely choice for the occasion, I would happily recommend them...
Still waiting for a wet day to give this a proper try. It's nearly Easter here and we had all that rain last week, then nothing since I bought an umbrella. Typical. I do like the look of it and I'm looking forward to carrying it. My usual gripe is more about choosing umbrellas than this one specifically. Everything seems to be either an enormous thing you don't want to lug around, or something so tiny you wonder how much use it'll be. This looks like a reasonable compromise. I'd still prefer a little more coverage, but it feels fairly substantial for one I can fold up and take with me.
It's bigger open than I expected and looks very nice. The button opens it and folds the canopy back without any trouble, then you push the telescoping part down yourself until it clicks. Getting all the folds neat again isn't quite like it was straight out of the packet, but that's normal. A very pleasant surprise and I'm happy with it 😊❤️🩹
After he borrowed my umbrella at the desert botanical gardens and wandered about enjoying himself, I decided he needed his own. Had a look online when we got home and found this one. Just right for his tenth birthday. He's delighted and no longer wants to borrow mine.
Four stars from me because I'm happy with it overall. Compared a few before buying and this feels like a decent umbrella for the money. Smart looking, with enough room to shelter me and my bag. If i changed anything it would be my colour choice, the gray is a little plain for my taste.
A smart looking umbrella with a proper, solid feel to it. It has behaved well in the gusts I've met so far. You get a useful amount of cover without carrying a long stick around. If you're after something more substantial than a flimsy throwaway -- this is worth considering.
Ordered two in cream white for my children, 3 & 5, and they LOVE having their own umbrellas. The canopies give them loads of room in the rain. Feel solid and nicely made. We had a couple of pinched fingers while learning to put them away, so I help with pushing the stems down.
Why should the colour make such a difference to the price?My old beige one went missing after years of use, and I wanted that colour again. Comparing the choices had me wondering whether I should settle for something I liked less just to save a few dollars. A lot of thinking for an umbrella! The quick opening is what I really appreciate. Crack the car door, press once, and there it is over my head before I step into the rain. Closing needs a little more doing. The button pulls the canopy together, then you compress the telescoping stem before it's ready for another opening. Pressing again while the stem is still extended won't put it back up. That's just how it works, and not much effort considering how sturdy it feels. After all that comparing and trying to be sensible, beige it is. I suppose a colour I actually enjoy carrying is worth paying a little extra for.
I've been using this umbrella for five years and it has been a very worthwhile purchase. Living in New York means it gets plenty of outings, and I like that it didn't cost a fortune in the first place. The opening button is useful, and having it bring the canopy down as well makes a difference when I'm trying to get inside. I still compress the stem myself afterwards, which is easy enough and not something that bothers me. I'm sure there are stronger, more expensive umbrellas available, but this one suits what I need. Between the sensible price and how convenient it is to use, I have no particular reason to change.
The blue looks great in person. I've had two others that I liked the look of, but this one has a noticeably more solid feel than either of them. The colour is much closer to what I wanted, too; sometimes a simple colour can be surprisingly hard to find. I'm also enjoying the oval handle, which is comfortable in my hand. So far this feels like a good choice and I'd certainly recommend it!
Living in the city, I have gone through a lot of those cheap umbrellas sold on street corners. They seem like a bargain until a wet, blustery day leaves you buying another one. I've had this one for over a year now and haven't felt the need to replace it. It still opens cleanly and the frame hasn't lost its shape in the ordinary windy rain I've used it in. I even left it behind in a shop once and drove back to collect it, despite the shop being quite a way from home. Normally I'd have written an umbrella off rather than make that journey. Not this one. It's a fairly everyday thing to get attached to, but a decent design really does make a difference.
A friend's little girl wanted a beige umbrella for her fourth birthday, so I chose this one. She was thrilled with it! I got several of these green umbrellas for our church preschool's April showers display. We hung them upside down in the lobby with raindrops between them, and they looked very sweet. They're sturdier than a decoration really needs, so my granddaughters will probably get them once we take everything down.
Finding something for a costume that looks right without spending too much can be a nuisance, especially shopping locally. I tend to compare the colour, size, finish and whether it will survive being used, not just sit looking pretty. This umbrella was a very good find on all of those counts. The blue is as I expected and the overall look suited what I needed for the show. It has been through several weeks of rehearsals and the performance run, and is still looking good. That is the sort of practical value I appreciate. I would certainly choose it again for this purpose!!!
