I'd been wanting a nicer umbrella for quite a while, and this has turned out better than I hoped. The cream white is beautiful. Construction seems good and it is sturdy enough for my needs. The automatic opening is handy. My only little gripe is having to press the shaft back down after the button closes the canopy. Otherwise it's everything I wanted.

After rain I shake off the droplets and leave it open to dry.
There are several practical things about this umbrella that I appreciate. It opens to roughly 105cm, which gives me comfortable coverage, but folds to about 40cm for carrying. The blue outside and black underside look quite tidy. The frame has 30 flexible ribs, and so far it has felt secure in ordinary rain and breezes.I tend to examine the frame first after disappointing experiences with older umbrellas. The push-button action saves some fiddling; it raises the canopy automatically and collapses it again, after which I shorten the shaft by hand.At around 390g it is not featherlight, but manageable to carry. After rain I shake off the droplets and leave it open to dry. For something that can come along each day, this is a well thought out design. I recommend it.

Apparently I am back in her good books.
I owed someone an umbrella after losing the one she'd loaned me. She's a city business woman who can give taxi drivers a hard time, not someone who politely praises everything. She tells me this is an excellent replacement.Light to carry, folds neatly and keeps her dry. Apparently I am back in her good books.

My three year old likes having his own umbrella.
My three year old likes having his own umbrella. Feels well made and he loves being able to work the button. I help with pushing the shaft back down, but otherwise he manages pretty well. Seems sturdy--so far!UPDATE a year on: Still using it, though I wouldn't call it a little child's umbrella. He gets tired of carrying it for long and I end up taking over. Good umbrella, just a bit substantial for him to handle on his own all the time.

I keep leaving umbrellas behind, so here I am buying another.
I keep leaving umbrellas behind, so here I am buying another. This one went through a proper downpour with a fair bit of wind last week, and stayed put just as well as the ones I've lost. There's more weight to it than I'd prefer, but the frame feels substantial, so I can live with that trade off.

There's more cover than I expected from a folding umbrella.
Arrived today and I've already ordered a second for my husband's car (which might become my spare when mine disappears). Give it some room before pressing the button, it opens with quite a jump! There's more cover than I expected from a folding umbrella. I spend evenings outdoors checking tickets, directing people and answering questions, even when it's wet, so that's a real plus for me. Won't be opening it in a cramped spot anyway. Funny to be this pleased about an umbrella, but it feels well made and worth what I paid.

It has become part of her dress up outfits too.
Our daughter earned this after reaching a big goal, she's 9 and was thrilled to pick her own. Rain isn't very frequent here so she wanted something nice looking as well as useful. It has become part of her dress up outfits too. A month in, there's been plenty of playing with it and it still looks fine.Update ... We're past six months now and all three girls have been using it. Still holding up well and getting just as much enjoyment.

A little bulk to accommodate, but useful and sturdy.
I assumed compact meant the sort of little umbrella that disappears into a jacket pocket. This is not quite that. At roughly 40cm folded and around 390g, it is more of a bag umbrella for me, and there is a noticeable amount of frame tucked under the fabric. It fits in my messenger bag, but I do have to leave room for it rather than dropping it into any spare corner. The sleeve helps keep everything together once it is rolled up.That said, it feels *solid*. The shaft and oval handle have a reassuring feel, and the flexible ribs look much more substantial than I expected from a folding umbrella. Coverage has been good when walking in rain, and it hasn't felt flimsy when a breeze catches it. I wouldn't describe it as a tiny lightweight backup, which was my original assumption from the pictures. As something to carry when I actually expect to need an umbrella, however, I am pleased with it. A little bulk to accommodate, but useful and sturdy.

We had around a dozen for an elementary school talent-show dance.
We had around a dozen for an elementary school talent-show dance. The children managed them well, with adults helping get them ready. Once open they were a good size for the number. They felt quite durable despite all the handling during rehearsals. You do have to allow room between children with them open. Overall they worked very well for what we needed.

Our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter was thrilled with her umbrella.
Our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter was thrilled with her umbrella. Over Christmas she wanted it nearby whether we were eating, getting ready for bed or going outside (rain or no rain). We helped her with the button...she mainly wanted to carry it everywhere. Seeing how much enjoyment she gets from it, I consider it money well spent.

We'll see how it lasts, but he's delighted so far!
We've had very little rain over the last couple of weeks, so it hasn't had a lot of use yet. My son is two and a half and wants to carry it everywhere. He loves doing the button himself while I help with pushing the shaft back down. Seems put together well and not like its going to fall apart straight away. We'll see how it lasts, but he's delighted so far!

looks smart!
looks smart! gives a bit of style while waiting in those ride queues. Would have preferred the spread of a giant golf umbrella, but this covers me well as an everyday one. Only niggle is getting it back into the sleeve, you need to fold the fabric fairly neatly first.
Leah Barrett
He's delighted!
My husband is very fair skinned and spends a lot of time outdoors in summer, so I picked this up for him. He's delighted! The canopy gives him some welcome shade and he finds the loop handle comfortable to hold. Now I'm wondering why I didn't order one for myself at the same time!!

It does well keeping her dry even when the rain comes in sideways.
Had this for my daughter a little over a year now. There's a couple of scuffy marks on it from being carried about, nothing that changes how it works. It does well keeping her dry even when the rain comes in sideways. She likes the black, though she has to hold it up a bit so she can see where shes going.

Nice for the beach as well.
Handy bit of shade, and it folds down so I can actually carry it along the street. No enormous stick to find a home for. Nice for the beach as well. I'm not claiming it counts as survival equipment; nobody is making a tent out of this little fellow. But in a shipwreck I can still picture myself fussing about where I'd left my umbrella before climbing into the lifeboat...
Kerry Brooks
Meanwhile, he likes it and says it keeps him dry.
Apparently a glass of wine makes me a colour expert!?! I bought this umbrella for a friend and picked pink, then started second-guessing myself when he sent a photo. He got the pink I selected; I just found myself wishing I'd picked something quieter. Meanwhile, he likes it and says it keeps him dry. So the person the umbrella was actually for is content and I'm the one conducting an imaginary colour review panel (membership: me, qualifications: none). I was VERY ready to make a fuss over a preference that isn't even his. Having established that he is happy and it's doing its job, there is nothing left to sort out. I still lean towards a quieter colour for myself, but that's hardly his problem. Somebody take away my colour consultant badge!!!!

Portability was the main reason i chose this umbrella.
Portability was the main reason i chose this umbrella. It's been out with me around a dozen times now and has done the basic job of keeping me dry each time (which is all i need!). It feels decent for something that folds up, though i still wouldn't choose it for a really wild windy day. There is always that bit of pull when a gust catches an umbrella, and i'd rather not push my luck. For taking along just in case, however, the size is really convenient. The automatic opening has worked smoothly too, which makes it easy when the rain suddenly starts. So yes, happy with it as an everyday carry umbrella rather than some enormous storm shelter. Five stars for being practical!
Colleen Frank
Opened it, closed it - gave it another wipe before putting it away.
The umbrella is handy but I did have to wipe a little oily residue off the shaft with a paper towel. Opened it, closed it - gave it another wipe before putting it away. The mechanism works well and it feels solid enough for my everyday use (I carry an umbrella a lot, city weather is never very predictable)
Kara Lozano
Apart from that I'm delighted with it.
Exactly the sort of umbrella I was after, and it arrived as expected in nice condition. My only niggle is the effort needed to push the shaft down by hand after the button has shut the canopy. Needs a firmer push than I'd prefer, but manageable. Apart from that I'm delighted with it.

Most of us only think about umbrellas when we're already getting wet.
Most of us only think about umbrellas when we're already getting wet. And yes, you can pick up a cheap one almost anywhere. I've done that often enough, usually paying more attention to the price than whether I'd actually want to carry it every day. So what makes spending more on one worthwhile? For me it comes down to how it feels to use and whether it does the job when the weather turns.
Taking this Haven out of its packaging, the first impression was encouraging. The fabric, the finish around the edges, even the way everything sits together when folded, looked properly thought through. That doesn't prove much on its own, though. Looking nice on arrival and being useful out in the rain are two different things. I wanted to try it rather than decide from appearances.
It slips into my commuter bag neatly. It doesn't demand that I rearrange everything else around it either. A couple of times I've checked the bag just to make sure I remembered it. Off comes the sleeve, a press on the button, and it springs into shape with a satisfying, firm sound. There's something reassuring about that compared with wrestling an umbrella open while you're already getting damp.
Underneath, the ribs give the canopy a supported look without making it seem stiff. I wasn't sure how much difference that would make outside. On a wet, blustery walk to the train station it held its shape nicely, including when a gust caught it from the side. I still had to hold it sensibly, of course, but there was no frantic struggle. I reached the station dry and folded it away feeling rather pleased with the purchase.
Would I choose it over another cheap impulse buy? Absolutely. The useful part isn't how impressive an umbrella looks indoors. It's being glad you brought it when you're halfway there.
Pedro Wong
The weight did catch me off guard, though.
On the east coast, having an umbrella you can depend on is pretty important. This replaces a cheap one which, to its credit, survived over four years. It handled normal showers well enough, but our thunderstorms were another matter, so I wanted something more substantial. Unpacking this almost had me looking forward to bad weather. It feels solid, and the fabric has more of a cloth feel than the thin, windbreaker-like stuff on my previous umbrella. My first impression is that it won't tear quite so easily. The weight did catch me off guard, though. Also, coming from a canopy about 35 inches across to this roughly 41-inch one sounds like a small change, but opened up it takes up noticeably more room.
Now for the actual weather test... apparently the weather has decided not to cooperate. We've had rain on something like forty percent of the days since it arrived, including six proper thunderstorms. Yet whenever I've brought this out, ready to show the rain who's in charge, the downpour has backed off. Very considerate, but not much help in judging an umbrella.
So far I've done rather more showing it off at work than sheltering under it. The people who worry about bad luck are particularly unimpressed with my indoor demonstrations of the opening and closing button. If the weather ever stays put long enough for a proper outing, I'll attempt to come back with an update. Until then, four stars seems as far as I can reasonably go.
Stefanie Bolton
Everything else has been excellent.
Brilliant so far! Had it out in some miserable windy rain in london and it coped much better than the little umbrellas I've used before. There is enough cover that I don't feel like I'm squeezing underneath it. It does take up more room folded than a tiny pocket umbrella, so don't expect something you can forget is in your pocket. For me that is worth it for the more substantial feel. The ribs have a reassuring amount of give and it looks good too. My one little gripe is the grip space. My hands fit on the oval handle, just about, but i would have liked a bit more room. If your hands are smaller I imagine that won't bother you at all. It isn't a big issue, only something I noticed. Everything else has been excellent.
Martin Mitchell
Looks good and does something useful.
Got a chance to try this when the sun came out on a breezy day. For one person there's plenty of shade, two med size people need to stand close together. The 30 ribs give the fabric good support and bend a little rather than feeling rigid. On our walk it was comfortable to hold and I didn't have to fight it every few steps. No idea how it would do in really nasty weather, but for that day it worked nicely. The green is a clean modern shade too.Looks good and does something useful.
Nina Ashley
The whole frame feels fairly solid once it is open.
Even folded, it is something extra to carry if the forecast gets it wrong and u never see any rain. But open it gives more cover than my old bargain umbrella, enough for two if u stay close. The oval loop handle is comfortable for carrying it closed, and the 30 ribs have a little flex to them. The whole frame feels fairly solid once it is open.
Tami Long
You do notice the extra weight.
I used my gray umbrella yesterday for the walk to catch my bus, which is about a mile. Between the buildings there are spots where the wind comes straight at you and then seems to change its mind. Small umbrellas have not been much use to me there before. I've carried a large golf umbrella instead, but with a backpack and other things to carry, that gets old pretty quickly. I wanted something that could go in my bag once I got there, without feeling like I had brought the wrong umbrella for the walk.
The first thing I noticed was that I was having to hold onto it rather than keep adjusting a collapsing canopy. There were a couple of gusts that gave my arm a good pull. It isn't going to make walking into wind effortless, obviously, but I was pleasantly surprised. The oval handle looks a little small compared with everything above it. I wasn't sure how comfortable that loop would be for the whole walk, although in use it bothered me less than I expected.
I had a good look underneath before taking it out. The ribs look more substantial than the thin little supports on umbrellas I've owned before, and there are a lot of them. You do notice the extra weight. Not enough that I regretted carrying it, but if you want something you can put in a bag and completely forget about, this probably isn't that umbrella. For me that is an acceptable trade if it means I can actually use it when I need it.
The telescoping sections were what I kept looking at initially. There is something about seeing a tall canopy on a narrow extended shaft that makes me expect trouble. Nothing actually happened there, this was just me being suspicious from previous umbrellas. By the time I reached the bus I had mostly stopped checking it. We also get plenty of sunshine between showers, and having some cover over my head makes that walk a lot more comfortable.
As for operating it, I still prefer to stop and give myself room rather than press the button while I'm walking. It opens quickly. Pressing the button again draws the canopy closed, but that doesn't shorten the whole umbrella. You still have to push the telescoping sections together yourself. Once I understood that, putting it away was straightforward. Getting the fabric neatly gathered is the slower part for me. If I rush it, I end up with a bulky bundle that doesn't slide easily into the sleeve, so I smooth it down first instead of trying to stuff everything in.
I expect this to be my regular commuting umbrella. So far I am pleased with it, with the weight and the slightly fiddly packing being my main reservations. It is a more practical size to carry than my big umbrella and has been much more useful than the tiny ones.
Update
We had some gustier weather and I did finally get the canopy turned over by a gust. I wasn't particularly happy standing there with it inside out, but it went back into shape without a wrestling match. I checked the ribs afterwards and couldn't see any damage. That matters more to me than expecting a compact umbrella to resist absolutely everything. I still pay attention to which way I'm holding it when the wind gets up. It has not replaced a large umbrella in every situation, but I am still taking it on the bus walk.
Further update
After more daily use, the opening mechanism, handle and ribs are all still working as they should. The sleeve is still the part I spend the most time fussing with, especially when I haven't folded the fabric evenly. I've got better at that but it isn't an instant tidy package for me. Otherwise there isn't much new to report, which is a good thing. It continues to come along in my bag and I haven't felt the need to go back to carrying the golf umbrella every day.
Clayton Hart
We've used it in the rain and it kept him dry as it should.
For my husband's birthday I chose this umbrella because the oval handle looked a bit different. He really liked it and was almost wishing for rain so he could take it out. I do think the handle could feel a little more substantial, and the sleeve is fairly basic. Nothing has gone wrong, I just wouldn't want him being too rough with it. We've used it in the rain and it kept him dry as it should. A nice gift overall, with a little room for improvement in the finishing.
Angel Sweeney
All in all, a good choice.
I took this along to a bridal shower and the bride really liked it. She even used it again for the wedding. The plain design is nice, though it isn't a delicate decorative parasol.I'd been a little anxious about how it would travel, but it was snugly packed and reached me in excellent condition. All in all, a good choice.
Mallory Burnett
The main thing I'd improve is the packing away.
Too many umbrellas have ended up inside out on me in the city, so I was looking for something with a bit more give. This one feels well supported and has stayed useful in the wet, breezy weather I've taken it through. The main thing I'd improve is the packing away. The button will fold the canopy, which is helpful, but you still need to compress the shaft yourself and get the fabric gathered neatly. That takes longer than I'd like with wet hands. I wouldn't call any compact umbrella indestructible, but overall I like the balance here between a firm feel and some flexibility.

We carried this along for the three day race weekend in Austin, Texas.
We carried this along for the three day race weekend in Austin, Texas. For late April we expected a lot more heat, but the first part was pretty cool and there was some wind too. By Saturday and Sunday afternoon the sun was out and did we appreciate having shade!!!! Sitting underneath it was much more comfortable than having the sun right on us. What a relief when you are staying in one place for hours. We were in the stands so there was a little deciding when to put it up and when to put it down, as nobody behind us needed their view of the track blocked. so it wasn't something we could leave up every minute without thinking about other people. Away from the crowd it was just what we wanted, some PORTABLE SHADE without a lot of fuss. It folded down for carrying between uses and was easy enough to take along the next day. Very glad we brought it. Will certainly take it again.
Sylvia Benjamin
People often say how nice the green looks.
Two years of use now and this is still the one I reach for. A friend liked hers too when I bought her one. Here in Los Angeles I carry an umbrella for shade most days, and on the really hot ones this gets picked over my others. The canopy gives me a good patch of shade and I like the black underneath. People often say how nice the green looks. For me, a hat just doesn't cover enough compared with walking under an umbrella.

Took a little while to arrive but i haven't actually tried it in the rain yet, the frame seems good quality and i like that there's a sleeve to put it away in! my old umbrellas were always awkward to pack after using them so having somewhere neat to keep this is handy. looks promising and for the price i'm looking forward to trying it out!

My husband had his eye on this umbrella and it turned up today.
My husband had his eye on this umbrella and it turned up today. Getting it out of the packaging was a whole PRODUCTION (at least if you ask him). There was some muttering before we actually got to look at the umbrella itself. Once that was over, he was quite pleased with the feel of it. A nice bit of weight, looks smart, and the button makes it quick to open. We haven't had it outside in rain yet, so I can't offer a weather report. But hubby wanted a decent umbrella and seems perfectly content with this one, which makes it a successful purchase here.
Becky Clayton
Good buy.
Good buy. For the money I wasn't expecting it to feel this solid. Had mine about a month now and it has been fine. The material feels decent and the loop handle sits comfortably in my hand. Pressing the button to open it is a nice touch, saves pulling at things when you're already getting wet. There is a sleeve included. That feels more basic than the umbrella itself, but none the less it keeps everything together when I put it away. Packed away it reminds me of a little ninja weapon for some reason. Packaging was decent and it got here at the early end of the delivery estimate. Overall I feel like I got my money's worth.

Heavy rain, wind, the lot, and his old umbrella was already torn.
My husband received this from me just in time for a run of horrible weather. Heavy rain, wind, the lot, and his old umbrella was already torn. He is delighted with the replacement and has joked that I must have known what was coming. There's a few blocks to walk on his way to work so it wasn't just a novelty present. He says it gives him good shelter but folds down to a size he doesn't mind carrying. I'm thinking another to stay at the office would be useful. It has certainly proved a worthwhile buy.

Feels sturdy, not cumbersome, and the materials seem good.
Feels sturdy, not cumbersome, and the materials seem good. The handle button sends the canopy up without me having to wrestle with it. I've had it out --a lot-- during this wet week and it has kept me nicely dry. Coming through a doorway, another press brings the canopy together, which is handy when you don't want to drip over everything. That doesn't shorten the whole umbrella though. You then press the telescoping pole into the handle yourself until it catches. There is some spring pressure to push against, but I find it manageable and it is just part of putting it away.Once that's done it is ready for the button to open it next time. Quite a practical arrangement and I like not having to handle the wet fabric just to collapse it.
Darren Price
It's felt reassuringly sturdy in breezy rain too.
Apparently this Umbrella scares the rain away, because the clouds seem to clear whenever I remember to take it out. Leave it at home and of course down it comes! Joking aside, I like having proper cover rather than a tiny patch over my head. There's room for me and someone willing to stand close, which is much nicer than leaving them to get wet. It's felt reassuringly sturdy in breezy rain too. No grumbles from me, a practical umbrella that looks good as well!
Shane Gilbert
I've had it out in rain as well and stayed dry.
Bought it mainly for shade in the fierce Texas summer, and it does that nicely. The gray looks a bit smarter to me and I don't feel quite so odd using an umbrella on a sunny day. I've had it out in rain as well and stayed dry. My one gripe is the weight after holding it up for ages, so I wouldn't call it an all-day carry!
Kaylee Johns
My "little shelter" gets some envious looks.
My "little shelter" gets some envious looks. One of my better purchases so far.I've only used it for rain and and it's done that job nicely. No very strong winds to report on, so I can't say how it would manage those.Light to carry considering how much cover it gives me.
Cameron Trujillo
Nothing particularly fancy, just a useful umbrella.
At first glance there's nothing especially unusual about this umbrella, which isn't a bad thing. It's a personal size rather than something enormous, and the handle is a closed oval loop instead of the curved handle you sometimes get. I find it comfortable enough to hold. Pressing the button opens it, and another press collapses the fabric and supports. You do still have to compress the telescoping pole yourself before putting it away. That part needs a deliberate push, but it's the normal closing procedure, not the button failing to finish its job.
Looking underneath, there is quite a bit going on with the supports. There are 30 flexible ribs, so it certainly doesn't look sparse under there. Everything feels reasonably secure when it's open. Still, counting supports isn't really a way of knowing how long an umbrella will last. All those joints and moving sections are something I'll be keeping an eye on, although I haven't found anything actually wrong with them.
The button itself has a positive feel, and the opening action is fairly quick. Folded up, this is more substantial than the tiny umbrellas that disappear into a bag. It's portable, yes, but I wouldn't describe it as something you forget you're carrying. That's probably my main reservation so far.
For the money, though, I think it's a reasonable everyday option. It covers me adequately, the rain stays outside where it belongs, and putting it away isn't complicated once you've done it. Nothing particularly fancy, just a useful umbrella. I'll reserve judgement on the long-term side until it's had more use. :)
*** UPDATE after using it some more ***
I've now had more opportunity to use it rather than just open it in the house and inspect everything. My initial concern about the number of moving parts hasn't turned into an actual problem. The supports still sit evenly, and the opening and closing action feels much the same as it did at the start.
I've also become more accustomed to the closing routine. Press, let the canopy gather, then shorten the pole with both hands. I wouldn't call that completely effortless, but it isn't a struggle either. :) The loop handle is comfortable during use, although its shape does contribute to the space the folded umbrella occupies.
I'm leaving this at four stars. It does the ordinary umbrella jobs well, with a bit more bulk than I'd ideally like. More time will tell about durability, but there's nothing so far making me regret getting it!
Levi Vargas
This has been an excellent umbrella!
This has been an excellent umbrella! The cover is a good size for me and the fabric sheds the rain well, rather than leaving me with wet shoulders. I've used it through the summer showers here in Florida and it's held up nicely. Definitely one I'd suggest to other people.

Went for the gray umbrella.
Went for the gray umbrella. The shade is a little flatter than it looked on my screen, but I still think it looks smart and I'm enjoying having it for all our rainy days here in the pacific northwest. The button works well for opening and folding the canopy. It does fold down, though not to the tiny size you might picture when you hear compact, so check you've got room in your bag. I end up carrying it sometimes (LOL) and get to feel a bit British! Not had it out in anything very windy yet, but it seems solid enough for the normal rain we've had.
Joy Zamora
There is a sleeve to keep everyday bag grime off it.
For my mum, who adores cats and all sorts of pretty things, this was a lovely gift. The cream white looks elegant, it folds into her roomy handbag, and a press of the button gives her a proper umbrella without a struggle. The canopy closes by button too, then the stem needs pushing in before packing away. There is a sleeve to keep everyday bag grime off it. Isn't it nice when something useful makes a miserable wet day a little more cheerful?
Jade Hardin
For what I paid, it's been worth having.
I've had this a while and only just got around to a review. For what I paid, it's been worth having. My reason for getting an umbrella was a bird bath.....lol Not the usual reason, I know. That spot gets sun most of the day and I wanted some shade over the water so it wouldn't get so warm or disappear to fast. It gives a decent patch of shade, which was really all I was after. It's looking a bit used now but I reckon I've had my money's worth.

Results here:1) Good and dry underneath.
For an umbrella my kid enjoys, I have a pretty short checklist:1) Does it give decent cover?2) Does it hold up?3) Is the kid happy? Results here:1) Good and dry underneath.2) Four months in and still sturdy.3) Always wants it out.Not sure I need a more complicated test for an umbrella than that.

those always felt like temporary purchases.
- the open size works well, not tiny but not something enormous- button is useful when getting under cover. getting it fully packed away still takes both hands.- mine lasted about a year before I left it in a cab last week. but, in the the months I used it (at least once most months) -- it coped better than the cheap umbrellas I used to buy. those always felt like temporary purchases. It's not the lightest thing in my bag, which is my one complaint. I would probably still be using it now if I hadn't left it behind, because the frame was feeling solid right up to the end.

For dry trousers all the way down, not so much.
I walk around downtown a lot and wanted an umbrella that would stop rain ending up on my trouser legs. This gives me decent cover over my head and shoulders, but it hasn't solved that particular problem. Water still runs off the edge and, with the rain coming at an angle, my legs are outside the covered area. I want mention that b/c looking at it open can make you think there's more shelter than there really is for your whole body.Picture the space above your head rather than a little roof that follows you right to the ground. For upper body use its fine, but the fabric ends well above the places I was hoping to protect. For dry trousers all the way down, not so much. The button is convenient and it feels reasonably steady in a breeze. Three stars because it works as an umbrella, just not quite for the reason I was buying one.
Jermaine Bruce
He's still not tall enough to keep me covered, naturally.
My five year old son wants to carry an umbrella himself all the time, so this one is for him. He's still not tall enough to keep me covered, naturally. Feels solidly made and the oval loop gives him a good place to hold it. I still help with putting it away afterwards, but he loves having his own.
Heather Blevins
I'm not a small fellow, sos the coverage matters to me.
Now that's what I wanted! I'm not a small fellow, sos the coverage matters to me. About 105cm across when open is a useful everyday size, without having a long golf umbrella to lug about. Press the button and up it goes - that part works GREAT! All those flexible ribs inside make it feel nicely supported rather than flimsy. I went for three so there's one waiting in the car, another at work, and the other lives with my golf bag. No more trying to remember where I left the only umbrella in the house. Green for all three, a good straightforward color and easy enough to spot. They fold down small enough for those places too. For what I paid I am more than satisfied. These turned out just how I had hoped they would. I'd recommend them without hesitating.
Ralph Newton
I would certainly recommend it.
This was a quick purchase, made without doing the usual reading and comparing, so I thought it worth coming back to say how well it has suited me.I've found the frame reassuringly solid, the cover comfortable for my needs, and the folded umbrella pleasant to hold rather than insubstantial. It is manageable on busy Manhattan pavements, too, and has behaved well in a breeze. For something I bought with so little consideration, it has been an unexpectedly good choice. I would certainly recommend it.

Quality umbrella & attractive as well.
Quality umbrella & attractive as well. The rain here in Florida often comes with wind, so I wanted something that felt a bit more substantial without carrying a long umbrella everywhere. Found this one at a good price & it has been just what I needed. The canopy gives me good coverage and the frame feels reassuring when the weather turns. A purchase I'm glad I made.Thank you
