I love the cream white color, it has such a nice clean look.

This smart looking umbrella makes a wet day feel a little less dreary! I love the cream white color, it has such a nice clean look. It feels sturdy and hasn't given me any trouble so far. Having a button to open and shut the canopy is really convenient. I'd happily choose the same one again!

Even the oval loop handle is handy!

At 34 I've finally spent money on an umbrella. Apparently this is adulthood, deciding I'd rather carry something than get soaked every time the weather turns. It turned up looking great and feels much sturdier than I pictured a folding umbrella would. There's a decent amount of room underneath for me, and it packs away neatly afterwards. I'm very happy with how it feels and works. Even the oval loop handle is handy! Staying dry without a wrestling match, what's wrong with that?! Definitely recommended!

I do like it a lot, especially how easily it opens.

Saw this online and rather fancied it, even had a go at winning one but no luck there. Of course by then I had decided I wanted it anyway, so off I went looking at the different prices! I spent far too long comparing them for an umbrella, but eventually just picked this pink one and got on with it. I do like it a lot, especially how easily it opens. Getting it neatly back into the sleeve can be another matter, you really have to fold the fabric tidily. I'd promised myself I was finished with fiddly umbrellas. Then I got another umbrella for Christmas that made the fiddling with this sleeve seem positively easy. Trust me to do that! TYPICAL!

Feels like taking a little roof along with me.

Feels like taking a little roof along with me. There's enough cover over my shoulders, and it hasn't turned inside out when it's been windy. It folds, but not quite small enough for my backpack, so I still end up carrying it. I've left two on the train now, unfortunately. Keep coming back for another though, because it keeps me dry so well!

This umbrella gives decent cover for me and the bag I carry.

This umbrella gives decent cover for me and the bag I carry. Its compact when folded but opens out to a useful size, and feels steady once up. The only bit I'm not keen on is the sleeve, which feels rather thin and is a loose fit. A snugger fit there would be an improvement

Such a good-looking umbrella!

Such a good-looking umbrella! Tried it on a breezy rainy day in New York and thought the gray looked lovely. A couple of people admired it too.Pros:-shade matches the pictures-smart, not gloomy-space for two if you stand close-button opening and collapsing is handyCons:-no idea how the button will last, but it worked fine for me-apparently appealing to thieves :<Things to note:-you still press the stem down yourself after the canopy collapsesSadly I barely had a day with it before somebody stole it. :( That was a real disappointment, because I liked using it and thought the price was fair. I'll be getting another, just keeping a closer eye on it next time! At least whoever walked off with mine got a nice umbrella out of it.

Solid, nicely made umbrella.

Solid, nicely made umbrella. It doesn't feel flimsy in a breeze. I would have liked more width, though; the roughly 105cm canopy covers me well but isn't really comfortable for two people.Adding to this: I particularly appreciate how quickly it springs open with a press of the button.

Karen Hutchinson

The original is still in very good condition.

I've used my first one for around two years and ordered another to keep at home. The original is still in very good condition. No tears, and the button still opens and gathers the canopy reliably. It is worth remembering that a flexible frame can move around in a gust rather than feeling rigid. You do notice that movement when you've got something in your other hand, and sometimes I have to stop and get a better grip. I would rather have that give in the ribs than something that feels brittle. For ordinary rainy days these have served me well, so I'm happy having a spare.

Vernon Morrow

Would happily recommend it.

I couldn't tell at first if it was only for sun or could be used in rain too. It is for either, which is what I needed. Feels very well made, with flexible ribs and a handy button for opening and closing the canopy. The sleeve is useful for putting it away. A nicely designed umbrella without being awkward to carry. Would happily recommend it. Lovely.

Brandon Hudson

Sometimes I try it when there's not even any rain.

There's always an umbrella in the small duffle I take to work, and this has earned its place there. The fun part is letting friends try to work out how it shuts. Another press of the opening button and the canopy collapses! You still have to push the shaft back in yourself, but that's straightforward. Five years of carrying it on my commute and I'm still amused by that little trick. Sometimes I try it when there's not even any rain. Practical, yes, but also strangely satisfying.

Gail Richards

understated without looking dull.

The stitching and edges look tidy, and the frame seems nicely put together. The gray is very pleasant; understated without looking dull. It folds to roughly 40cm, which fits my larger bag without a struggle. Open, it is about 105cm across, a useful amount of coverage without being enormous. I wanted it for shade as well as rain and have found it comfortable to use in the sun. The black underneath gives it a neat look from inside too. The opening action is smooth, and so far I'm delighted with it!

Our 2 1/2 year old loves having his own umbrella.

Our 2 1/2 year old loves having his own umbrella. Not the most practical thing to carry everywhere but does he mind? Not a bit. He has carried it about and pretended it was a walking stick. Still doing fine. We've had it just over a month and he wants it out nearly every day.

Jon Archer

A practical umbrella, and an easy one to recommend.

I've spent more on umbrellas because I assumed the expensive one would naturally be the better one. What I eventually noticed was that being substantial isn't the same as being useful. If I'm carrying it to work, I want my suit covered, not just something that looks impressively rugged. (That ought to be obvious, but it wasn't what I paid attention to first....). I'd used a compact umbrella before and liked the convenience, so the Haven made sense to me. After using it, I think this is where my money was better spent. It doesn't feel flimsy, and it opens to a USEFUL size without being an enormous thing to lug about. I'm not claiming it's indestructible. I don't expect a folding umbrella to go on forever, either. What matters is whether it earns its space in my bag, and this one does. Folded up, it goes in my computer bag without taking over the whole thing. Opened out, there's enough cover to make a real difference when I'm wearing work clothes in the rain. The automatic opening is useful rather than a gimmick, especially with a bag in the other hand. Everything I actually need it to do, it does. For me that's a better measure of value than buying the most expensive option and hoping for the best. A practical umbrella, and an easy one to recommend.

Cream White canopy over a black underside, with closely spaced flexible ribs and push-button operation. The oval loop handle gives it a distinctive finish ☂️, and the folded umbrella slips into its carrying sleeve. A very attractive everyday accessory, nicely put together without having to pay a fancy-accessory price.

" "Looks like a proper umbrella.

On my last wet commute home, just a few days ago, this umbrella attracted four separate comments. "That's a cheerful colour." "Looks like a proper umbrella." "Where's that one from?" and, from someone watching me fold it, "Oh, it packs down?" Apparently a pink umbrella can be a conversation starter even when everybody is concentrating on getting out of the rain. It had already received a fairly thorough inspection at work. I left it folded beside my desk and several colleagues picked it up, looked at the oval loop handle, and wanted to see it opened. There was the usual office commentary about whether I was expecting particularly dramatic weather. An umbrella is not normally something people gather round to examine, but there we were. More importantly, it is comfortable to stand underneath. My wife and I can share it for a short walk if we stay close, although I wouldn't pretend a compact umbrella gives two people endless room. Used by myself, I have enough coverage without constantly adjusting it to protect one shoulder and then the other. Carrying it has been less of a nuisance than carrying some smaller-looking umbrellas I've owned. The weight feels reasonable, and folded up it isn't an awkward long object to keep track of. The loop gives me somewhere secure to put my fingers rather than having to grip tightly all the time. My wife has one now, too, and has given the same umbrella to a couple of friends. She's the person in this household who notices whether something looks right; I'm generally pleased if I've remembered to bring an umbrella at all. The pink certainly passed her inspection, and I find it rather pleasant myself. Mine has had well over a year of regular use. Apart from a few superficial marks on the handle, it still looks remarkably fresh. The canopy opens neatly and the ribs don't have that flimsy feeling that makes you reluctant to use an umbrella in actual weather. I've had heavier folding umbrellas that felt substantial mainly because there was so much weight to lug around. This feels substantial where it matters, without that same burden on the journey home. It also doesn't look out of place with work clothes. I can carry it with a jacket and tie without looking as though I've brought sporting equipment into the office, and it is equally unremarkable with jeans. Bright, yes, but not covered in fussy decoration. I'm not qualified to judge umbrella construction in any professional sense. What I can see is that the fabric sits evenly, the rib arrangement looks carefully finished, and the whole thing feels considered rather than thrown together. Those are small observations, but after using something regularly they become more persuasive than its first impression. Bottom line: I'm satisfied enough that, when this one eventually wears out, I'll look for the same umbrella again. It has earned that much loyalty.

Looks nice, and has room for two...

Big and a little heavy compared with what I expected, but Boston storms aren't small either. Less convenient for carrying everywhere. I'd bring it when the weather looks rough rather than risk an umbrella headed for the bin.Looks nice, and has room for two...so long as you're close. Seems built to stay around. The blue is easy to pick out at coat check!

Roger Mcmillan

For the price I feel they are good value.

I bought two, one for myself and the other for my wife. For the price I feel they are good value. Haven't tried it with heavy wind yet, or had it long enough to know how much it can take and how long it will last. It feels light while holding it but gets the job done. It isn't a high quality umbrella and does not t give you that sort of feeling in the hand, but at this price I would call it okay. I'm just hoping to get a couple years use from it.

LOL...

I'm the one who actually looks happy when those quick Florida showers roll in! This umbrella gives me good cover, and my son can tuck underneath with me for the dash through the rain!! LOL...not quite room for the whole family, but it's a sturdy little thing and I'm always glad I brought it.

Christian Lynch

Handy thing to have!

Handy thing to have! I spend a lot of time walking outside and needed an umbrella I could leave in my bag. This folds down neatly without feeling flimsy when it's open. Nothing difficult about using it either. It's been through regular use already and still feels solid. Worth buying.

Jaclyn Santana

Happy to keep carrying this one.

It comes along on all my dog walks now. Having shade straight away makes being out in the hot sunshine much more comfortable. I'd personally choose a little more width if I could, but that's a small preference rather than a problem. Happy to keep carrying this one.

Mason Hooper

For just myself it is useful and easy to bring along.

As a college student I spend a lot of time walking between buildings, and there is no avoiding it when it rains. I wanted an umbrella that could live in the outside pocket of my backpack rather than something I'd have to remember to carry separately. This one fits there, although it sticks out more than I imagined. The first rainy day I was pleased to have it and it kept my head and most of my clothes dry. The trouble was the backpack behind me. I had to keep shifting the umbrella back to cover it, which left less cover in front, and the corners of my papers were damp when I got to class. For just myself it is useful and easy to bring along. For myself plus a bag full of books and a computer, it isn't quite the solution I hoped for. I would call it convenient, but not enough coverage for everything a student carries.

Oscar Dennis

Honestly, golf wasn't the reason I wanted an umbrella.

Honestly, golf wasn't the reason I wanted an umbrella. I don't play.I'm tall and mostly wanted my shoulders to stay dry rather than having rain running down my coat. Shoes still get splashed from the ground, obviously. This gives me plenty of cover without being huge to carry about. Two of us can shelter underneath if we stand close, though I mainly use it alone. Isn't that enough to be happy about??

Vanessa Armstrong

Overall I'm pleased with it and the construction seems good.

After seeing what Chicago weather does to umbrellas, I wanted something with a bit more substance. This one feels properly supported and has stayed steady in the rain and blustery weather I've used it in. I wouldn't call any handheld umbrella completely wind proof, but this feels a lot more dependable than the flimsy ones I've had.The button will open it and fold the canopy, which is handy. The bit I'd change is having to push the telescoping part back in afterwards; that's the normal reset, but it does need a firm push. Overall I'm pleased with it and the construction seems good.

Krystal Moss

I'd happily recommend this to anyone after a decent umbrella!

There's PLENTY of coverage for me underneath this umbrella, without having to hunch my shoulders in. It feels strong and stayed steady during a blustery shower. Well worth what I paid, especially since I came home dry rather than soaked. I'd happily recommend this to anyone after a decent umbrella!

Thomas Ball

We chose this to replace an old umbrella.

We chose this to replace an old umbrella. It's very cute and has put up with my four-year-old daughter taking it around everywhere, raining or not. She can manage the opening and canopy-closing button herself, though I still help with compressing the pole to put it away.

Eric Sandoval

It looks carefully assembled and feels sturdy.

The roughly 105 cm open size is the useful measurement for me, since that is what tells you about coverage. Folded length, about 40 cm, only tells me whether it will go in my bag. I would think of this as an umbrella for one person, not one for two people to use comfortably side by side. It looks carefully assembled and feels sturdy. I have only just received it, so I can't say much about long term use yet.

Caitlin Mathews

Lovely for what we wanted and worth the money.

These were for my daughters' Halloween photos, rather than for keeping off the rain. They looked lovely in the pictures and the girls enjoyed holding them through the afternoon. The open size gave them plenty of shade without swallowing up the whole photograph. I handled the opening and putting away, since these have a button rather than the sliding ring on a little children's umbrella. A press opens it and another gathers the canopy, then I shorten the shaft myself. That was easy enough while getting everyone ready. The oval loop at the bottom is a nice touch too, handy to clip onto the stroller instead of having another thing in my hands. We don't get many rainy days where we live, so I can't report much on that side yet. I do expect to bring them on our theme park outings for some shade. Lovely for what we wanted and worth the money.

i checked the reviews before buying this and once it arrived i thought the carrying sleeve was alright, but i reinforced the bottom of it where the umbrella end puts the most pressure, i love this umbrella so much that i went ahead and bought a second one to keep spare.

The loop handle is a handy detail, he can clip it onto his backpack.

My son is away at college where there is a lot of wet, blustery weather, so I wanted him to have a decent umbrella. This feels well put together and folds down enough to carry with his things. The loop handle is a handy detail, he can clip it onto his backpack. Also, the green happens to be right for his school colors, which is a nice little extra.

Hailey Todd

Coverage is about right for me.

What I like most is having a handle I can get a proper grip on, along with the button that opens it and gathers the canopy back in. You still press the shaft down to pack it away. The sleeve is useful for keeping it tidy once dry. Coverage is about right for me. I've owned a few and generally manage to leave one somewhere before it gets worn out.

Shelly Cherry

The weight hasn't bothered me.

Arrived today and I haven't taken it out in weather yet. Gave it a look over and tried opening it. The fabric looks tidy, nothing loose that I can see, and the pink is what I expected. It feels substantial without being a burden to carry. Not the tiniest umbrella folded, but manageable.Update: A few rainy days here in South Florida and it's been fine so far. The weight hasn't bothered me. My one change would be a little more space in the loop handle. My hand feels slightly cramped in it, and just a bit more room would make it nicer to hold.

Leslie Reeves

It feels well made too.

With arthritis in my hands, even getting an umbrella open can be a nuisance. I went looking specifically for a push-button one rather than another catch to fiddle with. This opens without that struggle, which is exactly the help I wanted. It feels well made too. Reasonably priced, and I'm pleased I found something so straightforward.

Jack Sanchez

Used it twice so far and stayed dry both times.

Picked this up in November to keep my outdoor walks going through California's rainy months. Of course, the drought has meant far fewer chances to try it than expected. Used it twice so far and stayed dry both times. I notice the weight after walking about 5km, but I don't think that would matter much for shorter walks or everyday use. Happy with it.

John Hart

I wanted something dependable for those wet walks.

Christmas presents for my grown-up son and daughter, who both walk from public transport to their city offices. I wanted something dependable for those wet walks. They've been using these without any trouble so far, and being able to fold them down makes them handy to take back and forth.

Bianca Richards

This was a nice choice for him to stand under with me.

My nephew is almost 2 and gets excited about anything he can call his own. This was a nice choice for him to stand under with me. The cream white is lovely and simple, and he seems quite taken with it. It isn't a tiny toddler umbrella, so I'm the one carrying it and working the button, but he still thinks it's his. The stitching looks neat and the whole thing seems nicely made. He's delighted with it and I am too.

Summer Bowers

Lovely size once it's up, and the button works smoothly.

So excited about this! It arrived quickly and everything was wrapped neatly. As soon as I opened it I got that feeling of the umbrella I remember from childhood!! Lovely size once it's up, and the button works smoothly. There was a little dusty residue when I first unpacked it, but a wipe took that off, nothing worth worrying about. I've only tried it indoors so far; rain is due here over the next few days so it should get a proper outing then. Can't see any reason it won't do well. Delighted with how this purchase turned out!

Hayden Guerra

The little extra I paid feels justified.

Smooth action, a comfortable grip and a solid finish are what I expect from a decent umbrella, and this has all three. The little extra I paid feels justified. I'd like to keep this for ten or fifteen years. I've owned good umbrellas before, and this gives me that same impression of being properly put together.

Alexander Maxwell

Proper cover without carrying a great long umbrella!

You buy an umbrella hoping it stays packed away, but it still needs to work when the rain comes. This one has done exactly that. It's ROOMY for something that folds down, with enough space for two of us to squeeze underneath. Proper cover without carrying a great long umbrella!

Cheryl Sawyer

Her previous umbrellas had not made that walk much fun.

I spent quite a while comparing umbrellas before buying this for my wife. She works at a hospital in a busy city area, and the walk out to her car can be very blustery. Her previous umbrellas had not made that walk much fun. She has been delighted with this one and takes it along whenever the forecast looks wet. A Valentine's present that turned out to be genuinely useful!

Stacey Dougherty

This takes up more room when packed and you notice the weight more.

Every time it springs open I get a little pleased with myself for choosing it. It has a solid feel, the automatic action is smooth and there's a useful amount of canopy overhead. I do like the really light umbrellas that disappear into a small purse, but I never feel quite so confident with them once the weather picks up. This takes up more room when packed and you notice the weight more. For me that's a fair exchange for something that feels substantial and gives better coverage. If the smallest possible umbrella is your priority, you might feel differently--it depends what you want to carry. I like the loop handle too (much nicer to hold than a tiny grip)

Veronica Carlson

I really like the automatic open/close on this umbrella.

I really like the automatic open/close on this umbrella. Being compact, it is comfortable for my small hands too. The loop handle sits nicely in my hand instead of feeling too wide like my previous umbrella did. I'd happily buy the same again once this one wears out.

Daniel Clay

A useful umbrella is no use sitting somewhere I've left it!

City living taught me to appreciate an umbrella that doesn't feel ready to give up at the first gust. When I lived in New York, the wind between the tall buildings could turn an ordinary wet walk into quite a struggle. This one has felt steady in the breezy weather I've used it in, and I like not having to wrestle with it just to get some cover. My bigger problem with umbrellas is remembering to bring them home from restaurants, etc. A useful umbrella is no use sitting somewhere I've left it! I'm trying to be better about that, because I'd actually miss this one. The canopy gives me good coverage and another person can tuck in close rather than us both trying to hold separate umbrellas. I particularly appreciate the button when getting out of the car. Quick opening, then another press folds the canopy in when I'm getting back inside. The shaft still needs pushing down by hand afterwards, but that's simple enough. BTW, the loop handle feels comfortable to hold, which matters when you're carrying it for more than a quick dash. Very satisfied with this one!!!

I went for the plain gray one as I wanted something that wouldn't stand out too much . It looks tidy and i find it straightforward to use, the button is handy and it folds down to a size i can leave in my bag. That is mostly what I wanted, an umbrella I can take along without doing the whole will it rain or wont it routine before a walk. It isn't the smallest thing in there but I don't mind the bit of space it takes up. If there is already a proper downpour outside I still reach for my larger umbrella, it gives me more room round the edges and that does make a difference. This one is for getting caught out when I wasn't expecting it, or walking back to the car without getting soaked. For that sort of use it has been very good and worth keeping with me.

Jenna Schneider

The umbrella is good, getting it took too long!

The wait for this umbrella was much longer than I had expected. I needed it for the wet weather and ended up going without until it arrived. Now that I have it, the quality feels good and I'm pleased with what I paid for.The umbrella is good, getting it took too long!

Cristian Goodman

it takes up little room packed away but gives me decent cover.

For college this has been really handy, especially with books and everything in my hands. one press opens it and another folds the canopy, so i don't have to wrestle with wet fabric. it takes up little room packed away but gives me decent cover. been using it over a year now and it hasn't flipped on me or given me any trouble.

Kenneth Terrell

The closed loop handle is another detail I appreciate.

Little everyday improvements sometimes make me wonder what took so long. Luggage with wheels, for instance. (We'd already figured wheels out, hadn't we?) The button on this umbrella gives me a similar "well, obviously" feeling. No wrestling with the runner just as it starts raining. A press puts the canopy up, another brings it down. You still compress the shaft manually to pack it away, so no, it isn't magic, but it is MUCH easier. The closed loop handle is another detail I appreciate. Comfortable to hold and a shape that actually makes sense rather than just looking different. The pink looks cheerful too, and I've had people comment on it. I've owned three because I keep leaving umbrellas behind. Each one has felt sturdy, the fabric has stayed intact and the button has worked without a performance. That's the sort of consistency I want from something I don't plan to think about very much. Now I just need to get better at remembering to take it home. A good umbrella doesn't cure that particular problem, unfortunately.

Dakota Peck

Overall, a very nice umbrella for shade so far.

Very attractive in person! I picked it up in summer and took it out for shade before we had any rain. It was nice to have my own shade while walking around the festival, and a few people asked about it. The gray is understated but I find it really attractive, so I'm looking forward to using it on wet days too. It opens smartly with the button and feels reassuring to hold. One thing to know: closing with the button draws in the canopy, not the whole telescoping shaft. You shorten that part manually afterwards. I had expected everything to disappear down in one go, so that took a little getting used to. Once I understood the two steps, it was straightforward, and nothing has given me trouble. I'd just have preferred a little less pushing when putting it away.Overall, a very nice umbrella for shade so far. Still waiting for a proper chance to try it in the rain.

Terri Summers

Nice umbrella, has done what it's meant to so far.

Nice umbrella, has done what it's meant to so far. It feels heavier then my usual one and I'd prefer a slightly firmer feel through the shaft, though nothing has given me trouble. I'd been looking all over for this sort of folding umbrella, so finding it online was a relief. Not perfect for me, but still a good find.

Yvette Simpson

It gives me good coverage without feeling heavy in my hand.

Needed one umbrella for wet days & for shade, and this has been just right. What surprised me was how manageable it feels to carry! I've had several nice comments about it too. It gives me good coverage without feeling heavy in my hand. For the everyday use i had in mind, it's great. I wouldn't take a compact umbrella out in a serious gale though. I don't expect something this size to replace a really heavy duty umbrella in extreme weather. Keeping the rain off and getting some shade are what I wanted, and it handles those nicely.

Cassidy Palmer

She was so pleased with it, and the quality looks good.

I picked this out as a present after running out of ideas that weren't the same old little things. An umbrella was something different and useful, which is what appealed to me. She was so pleased with it, and the quality looks good. Nice carry sleeve as well! I'm thinking about getting one for myself next.
