Works well. Open size about 105 cm, folded 40 cm, weight 390 grams.
Press the handle button and the shaft extends, canopy opens.once more,
Pressing it closes canopy only.the shaft do not go down by itself.
It needs a firm push with the hands, this is normal for the mechanism.
I keep fingers away from the button while using it so I don't close it by accident.
Convenient overall, automatic opening is the part I appreciate most?

My previous one (the lost one
Already had compliments on the Gray and have been nicely dry underneath it, which is the important part after losing my old umbrella!I do get attached to these things ♥‿♥The canopy spreads out quite wide for something you can fold down, so I have to watch where the edges are around people, but having my shoulders covered is worth a little umbrella awareness! The black inside looked different to what I was used to at first, not a bad different, just something I noticed when opening it indoors to have a look (as you do).I rather like the plain underneath with the Gray on top.Folded up it is still a noticeable thing to carry, not one of those teeny tiny umbrellas you forget is there, but much easier to put away than a full length one!The oval handle is comfortable even though I wasn't sure about the shape from the pictures. My previous one (the lost one ; ^ ; ) felt a little more taut across the material, this has a softer looking canopy between the ribs but nothing that has stopped it keeping the rain off me (just an observation). There are quite a lot of ribs in there and they seem flexible rather than stiff, time will tell how they hold up ♥‿♥The opening button is handy, and closing the canopy with it then pushing the shaft back in is straightforward once you've done it.Overall I like the feel and the coverage for the money, would much rather carry this than stand getting soaked wishing I'd brought something better (。' ‿`♡)

it's a practical umbrella, and a good one.
Finding my wife an umbrella she can carry easily AND get proper cover from was more difficult than I expected. This folds down well without feeling skimpy when it's open. It isn't the cheapest option, but the construction feels worth paying for. Don't expect fancy materials on the handle; it's a practical umbrella, and a good one.

A new umbrella was the Christmas present I asked my husband for.
A new umbrella was the Christmas present I asked my husband for. After college and so many moves, I'd lost track of most of my old things. Having something nice that I actually want to carry is a pleasure. It is easy to get open with the button and the canopy shuts smoothly as well. Gives a good bit of cover with the kids tucked beside me in the rain. I press the pole down afterwards, and the sleeve is useful for storing it neatly.

It feels well made and the opening action has worked nicely.
The pink one replaced an old umbrella that had finally worn out after years of use. Reading complaints about the folded size had me wondering, but to me it's a normal compact. Not tiny enough for a coat pocket, not an enormous thing either. It feels well made and the opening action has worked nicely. The pink cheers me up in dull weather, and I feel a little easier to spot when I'm crossing a road. The sleeve is useful too and I haven't had to fight to get it back inside. For what I paid, I think it was a sensible purchase and I'd happily choose it again.

At this price I wasn't sure how much to expect and thought it might end up going back. Once I opened it, though, it felt a lot more solid than I had imagined. It packs away without taking much room but gives a surprisingly good amount of cover once open, so I can see myself using this a great deal!!!

Really pleased with what I picked.
You get to a certain age and Christmas shopping becomes Mom saying to choose something yourself and she'll cover it. Thats how I ended up with this umbrella. I picked this one and I'm delighted with it!! Plenty of room overhead without having to carry a long umbrella, and putting it up is easy. My old umbrella has been around for about twenty years and is looking grubby now, even though it still works. I'm hoping this will become the one I hang onto for ages too. Really pleased with what I picked. Thanks for a useful gift, Mom!!

A good buy!
I'd been wanting something that covered my hair properly on a wet day, rather than having to keep ducking under an edge. Only taken this one out once so far, but I'm already fond of it. There's enough space that I don't feel crowded beneath it walking along. Folded, it's a little too long for my smaller purse, so I won't be putting it in there. Still happy to add it to my umbrella collection. A good buy!

The size suits my small (5ft) frame and the green is lovely!
The size suits my small (5ft) frame and the green is lovely! I wish it had been packed a bit more carefully though, the box looked quite squashed and I was worried opening it. Luckily the umbrella itself was fine, which was a relief as we've had so much rain lately and I didn't want to deal with sending anything back.Update: I've had a chance to use it now and it's been great. Easy to carry, plenty of cover for me, and a few nice comments on it too!

This one has been noticeably sturdier than the usual ones I carry.
My walk into work often means dealing with wind, and I've gone through quite a few umbrellas. This one has been noticeably sturdier than the usual ones I carry. The price would have put me off without that experience, honestly, but now I understand paying a little more.

A good all round umbrella.
Went looking online because I wanted an umbrella that didn't feel flimsy, and this one has been a good choice. Firm in the hand, easy to manage, and it copes with the gusts I've had it out in. A good all round umbrella. I mislaid my first one and ordered the same again. I like buying something I can keep using rather than replacing all the time.Wouldn't mind a slightly wider canopy, but still very pleased.
Misty Andersen
I bought a smaller automatic umbrella at the same time.
I bought a smaller automatic umbrella at the same time. This one is a little bulkier and heavier, but feels sturdier, which suits what I needed. Having the handle clip onto my bag is convenient. Delivery was prompt as well. I think having several ready before the rainy weather starts would be worthwhile.
Bryce Blevins
Much nicer looking out of the packet.
Much nicer looking out of the packet. The frame feels pretty substantial so far. We'll see how it manages our wet spring weather, but early signs are good. The loop is a touch smaller than I'd prefer, though it's comfortable enough in use.I'm considering another to leave in the car rather than remembering to take this one.
Ronnie Contreras
A nice umbrella overall.
Finally an umbrella with a look I actually want to carry! As a man I wanted something with a little character without looking childish or overly fancy (nothing against either, just not for me). The black looks smart and it feels solid, although two outings isn't much of a test. My little grumbles are mostly personal preference: the loop handle takes some getting used to, and pressing the shaft down after the canopy closes needs more effort than I'd like. It all works, I'm just being fussy here. A nice umbrella overall.
Vickie Thomas
Being able to pop it open with one press is wonderful.
Being able to pop it open with one press is wonderful. Boston's breezy rain has given it a workout and it still feels reassuringly solid. It's earned a few nice comments too, which I never thought I'd get about an umbrella! It's funny how having something cheerful overhead makes a gloomy walk feel less miserable. Dry shoulders and a better mood out of the same purchase. How about that?!
Nancy Rosario
The only thing worth mentioning is that it has some weight to it.
I've had enough umbrellas that leave my shoulders wet or turn the wrong way out as soon as a breeze catches them. This one gives me much better cover without being something enormous to carry around. Opening it after seeing how neatly it folds is quite a surprise, there is a decent amount of room underneath! So far it has kept its shape in the breezy weather I've used it in and I've arrived dry. The only thing worth mentioning is that it has some weight to it. Holding it up for a long time could get tiring, particularly when it's windy.

SO HAPPY WITH HOW THEY LOOKED, A LOVELY BUY!!!!!!!!
THESE MADE SUCH SWEET SPRING DECORATIONS FOR FRONT DOORS.I ARRANGED MY FLOWERS IN THEM AND HUNG THEM UP. ENDED UP MAKING THEM FOR FRIENDS TOO AND SOMEHOW KEPT NONE FOR MY OWN DOOR. NEXT TIME ONE IS STAYING HERE. SO HAPPY WITH HOW THEY LOOKED, A LOVELY BUY!!!!!!!!

Update-After 2 1/2 years of use I consider this money well spent.
I finally decided to move away from the cheap umbrellas I'd been using and get something more substantial. I've had this one about two weeks now and it has been out with me most days (spring in Boston). The frame has a much firmer feel than what I was used to, and there is less of that flimsy movement when the canopy goes up. The button does both jobs nicely, spreading the canopy and gathering it in again. My one adjustment was the loop handle, which feels different from what I normally carry, but that is personal preference rather than a problem with the umbrella.Update-After 2 1/2 years of use I consider this money well spent. I don't expect an umbrella to last forever, but I'm glad I paid a little more for one I enjoy using. Still the one I reach for, and I would make the same choice again.
Jose Frazier
It doesn't feel cumbersome, yet seems solid.
Received mine as a gift and I'm quite taken with it. It looks beautiful, and the neat finish makes it feel like a lovely accessory as well as something useful. It doesn't feel cumbersome, yet seems solid. Push button opening is handy and it folds away easily. There's plenty of cover when it's up. Absolutely delighted with it!!!

The size of this one works well for me.
The size of this one works well for me. I was tired of compact umbrellas that felt too small once they were open, but I didn't always want to take a full-length one either. This has turned out to be the one I reach for most. It gives me enough coverage for everyday rain and folds down enough that I don't mind keeping it in the car or bringing it into the house. There are smaller things to carry, of course, but I think the extra room when it's open is worth a bit of space in my bag. I still have a larger umbrella, but it doesn't come out nearly as often now. The frame feels solid in ordinary use. I haven't tried this in really rough weather and can't offer an opinion on that. That wasn't the reason I bought it, so I'm happy with how it has worked for me.
Kristine Callahan
If it keeps performing like this, I'll be happy with the purchase.
A sensible size - covers me comfortably without being a huge umbrella to lug around. Feels solid, although I've only had a few chances to use it so can't say much about long term wear. The automatic opening is handy, and the button draws the canopy in as well. Still have to compress the shaft myself, which is the one part that takes a little effort. A quick shake gets most of the droplets off before putting it aside to dry.If it keeps performing like this, I'll be happy with the purchase.

As for people saying an umbrella doesn't need to look nice.
Ever added up what all those cheap umbrellas have cost you? I used to grab one for a few dollars, lose it or have it turn inside out, then go and buy another. Doesn't seem such a saving when you look at it that way.. This is one purchase I haven't regretted. Its smart looking without being fussy, the loop handle is comfortable, and after more than three years mine is still looking and working much as it did at the start. That's worth something to me! I'm fairly certain I'd have spent the same money replacing cheaper ones by now.
As for people saying an umbrella doesn't need to look nice. Really? Fair enough if appearances don't matter to you, but I don't see anything wrong with enjoying something practical that also looks good.
A slightly silly aside, I was walking through a shopping centre carrying this and passed two very attractive women. One pointed out my umbrella to the other and said how nice it looked. Not normally the thing I'd expect anyone to notice, but there you go. Sadly I can't report that this led to any great conversation, they carried on walking and so did I. It did give me a chuckle though. Between actually lasting and apparently making an impression, I'm pleased I spent the money!

People have actually asked about my umbrella in the street.
The gray is rather distinguished, which is more than I can say for myself walking across campus. People have actually asked about my umbrella in the street. I suspect the other umbrellas are jealous, although none have admitted it. Keeps me dry and opens with a button, so I get to make an entrance even onto a wet pavement. My small purse has declined to accommodate it but, honestly, one cannot expect glamour and sensible packing all at once.
Barry Gardner
A much nicer umbrella to use than the ones I've been struggling with!
I like how neat the black fabric looks, not fussy and easy to carry with whatever I'm wearing. It came with a sleeve, and I can actually get the umbrella BACK into it once it's dry and folded properly. That shouldn't be exciting, but some are a real struggle! The automatic action is what I appreciate most when I'm juggling a bag and my daughter in the rain. One press gets it open quickly. Press again and the canopy folds down, then I push the shaft back into the handle by hand. That's the last part of putting it away, not something the button does. The ribs feel sturdy without being completely rigid, and there is enough room for my daughter to tuck in beside me when we get caught in a shower. It has also handled the gusts we've had without flipping over. A much nicer umbrella to use than the ones I've been struggling with!
Jeff Lane
Opens with a button and feels quite sturdy.
Used this as part of the card display at a baby shower rather than out in the rain. The mom-to-be was flying home, so most people brought cards or a picture of something being sent to her house. We tucked those into the ribs with the umbrella hung up, and it looked lovely. I had thought of it as a one-party purchase, but it feels much too useful for that. The cream white worked beautifully for the display. Now I'm deciding whether to keep it with my party things or pass it on for everyday use. Opens with a button and feels quite sturdy.

picked this up for a baby shower.. the mom isnt into all the frilly stuff. she likes simple pretty things and beige seemed more her. she loved it! even put it in the nursery for her little girl. its more of an everyday umbrella than fancy shower decor, so i wasnt sure at first, but it ended up looking really nice

I keep this at work for the lunchtime trip to the gym/pool when it's raining. Keeps me nicely dry, with more coverage than I expected from something that folds down. (The big umbrella I had before started losing its tips almost immediately and didn't last.)This one feels much better put together, and fits in my bag when I need to carry it.

I got this last spring when the rainy weather was nearly over.
I got this last spring when the rainy weather was nearly over. It feels sturdy and folds down well enough to keep with me, so overall I am happy with it.However, the size wasn't quite what I had pictured. In a shop I would normally open an umbrella and judge it that way, rather than pay attention to the numbers. Reading roughly 105cm across online didn't really give me a picture of how much room there would be underneath. It is a comfortable size for one person. Two can share if they stand close, but it isn't the extra large canopy I had imagined from some of the descriptions. It feels reassuring to hold, so I am keeping it. Just don't expect a folding umbrella that will give two people lots of space between them. For one person wanting something solid and portable, it seems a good choice.

Texas summer sunshine was the reason I ordered this.
Texas summer sunshine was the reason I ordered this. I used to put off going outside for walks because being out in that heat and direct sun felt miserable. Opened it up and my first thought was, that's BIG compared with the folded umbrella! It looks nice, but I did wonder whether I'd feel a bit silly walking around under it. Then I reminded myself that the walk is for my health, not to impress anybody. Some portable shade makes being outdoors more comfortable, so it would be silly to leave it at home just because I felt self conscious. It comes on my walks now. And being a little easier to notice out there is actually a bonus!
Bryce Campbell
Such a pretty umbrella, it really catches people's attention.
Such a pretty umbrella, it really catches people's attention. I've even been asked about it while walking along the street. Before going to Paris last year I got several to give out when I came home.It saved me souvenir shopping while I could be enjoying the museums instead. They are useful little gifts, not just something to sit on a shelf. It isn't the lightest thing to carry around, but I think the price is very reasonable.
Shelby Boyle
People can notice the umbrella if they want to!
The summer sun in Texas is enough to put me off going outside at all. I wanted something I could take on my walks instead of finding another excuse to stay in. Opening this up, I was surprised by the amount of shade from an umbrella that folds away. It looks really nice, although at first I felt a little silly walking along holding it when it wasn't raining. But the whole point of the walks is to look after myself, not to impress anybody passing by. Keeping the direct sun off makes it much easier for me to keep going. Now I reach for it before heading out. People can notice the umbrella if they want to!

There's a useful amount of room under this without it being one of those huge umbrellas you struggle to carry. I can keep myself covered and have a child close beside me, though I wouldn't expect it to shelter a whole family. The cream white is a nice cheerful change for rainy weather and looks good when it is open. It has a solid feel but not so heavy that taking it along becomes a nuisance. Opening is simple with the button and it folds up into a manageable size afterwards. We have had good shelter from downpours with it, and it is handy for making a bit of shade as well. For a parent who wants something practical to carry around, I think this is a very nice size and quality.

The product feels excellent.
The product feels excellent.
The loop grip and the pole are not burdensome to hold, while the frame has a reassuring strength.
For opening and folding the canopy there is a button, but after folding the pole is pressed short by hand. It is worth knowing this before using. (Anyone familiar with folding umbrellas will know~~)
In my personal view, I can recommend this umbrella for usual rain and also shade.
I shall take care of it and use it well.
Todd Gonzales
Good umbrella.
Good umbrella. Weight is about 390 grams. Construction looks carefully done. The oval loop handle is comfortable to hold, a different shape from the usual curved one. Gray fabric on top, black underneath. There are 30 ribs and they have some flexibility. Operation - press once to open, press again to fold the canopy. The shaft then needs pushing back by hand. A carry sleeve is included. Open width is around 105cm, plenty of space for me. Satisfied with it.
Kaitlin Roberts
Good coverage.
Nice gray colour. Good coverage. Heavier than I expected but still manageable. It comes with a sleeve, although getting it neatly back in takes more care than I would like. For what I paid, I had hoped packing it away would be a little less fiddly. Not a bad umbrella at all, just something to consider if you want to put it away quickly after using it.
Omar Cantrell
She was delighted with it.
I used to have an umbrella like this years ago, so finding this one while looking for a friend's gift made me smile. She was delighted with it. I put a little note in her card about having something to brighten a rainy day. It doesn't have to be a fancy present to cheer someone up. Sometimes a useful thing does that best!
Gabriella Berry
He was so happy with it!!
Bought my brother one of these and had a look before handing it over, didnt want it looking cheap or silly. The frame feels solid actually and i like the loop handle, its a bit different without being over the top.He was so happy with it!! Now im thinking i should have ordered two so theres one here for me

Blue is my favourite and I love this umbrella.
Blue is my favourite and I love this umbrella. It looks good and feels properly made. My husband had a collection of umbrellas about the house that I never wanted to carry because they were so ugly. Having one I actually like makes a difference, now it comes with me whenever rain looks likely. I love it.**Update** Wanted to add that mine is still going strong after all these months. It's the umbrella I reach for first, so it hasn't just been sitting around looking pretty. Usually it's in the car, and with 2 kids things get moved between the seats and the trunk constantly. This has had its share of being shoved about too. It's not spotless anymore, obviously, but the opening mechanism and the fabric are still doing exactly what I need. No problems using it at all. I liked it at the start and can recommend it even more after regular use.
Cassidy Brandt
I LOVE how tidy it looks!
With broad shoulders and a college backpack, I've found a lot of umbrellas leave something sticking out. This one seems roomy enough for what I need, and it looks quite smart too. The oval loop handle is a nice touch, I can hang it up in my closet rather than leave it lying around. I LOVE how tidy it looks!
Breanna Acosta
The whole thing feels good too.
I have never got on with those umbrellas where you're pushing a fiddly catch and trying not to pinch your fingers. usually they feel thin and cheap, then the ones that feel decent cost more than i want to pay... this one has a button, a solid feeling frame... and that LOOP HANDLE! i noticed the handle first and liked that it was something different without being silly. The whole thing feels good too.this would get five stars from me if the price was a little lower. i know you pay for a nicer design, but its still an umbrella and my budget isn't endless. Having said that, i use it and like it, so four stars seems fair rather than pretending the cost doesn't matter.
Caitlin Wilkinson
It looks nice as well and people have noticed it too.
I never seemed to get enough cover with the umbrellas I had before and this one has been so much better for me!It looks nice as well and people have noticed it too. It's easy to get a good hold on that loop handle, which makes it nicer to manage.I love pressing the button rather than fighting to get it up when the rain starts.Would happily buy the same again when I need another! :)

For what I paid I'm happy with the coverage and how solid it feels.
Adding an update: It's continuing to do well. Looked back to see when I bought it and I've had it longer than I thought. Nothing to report going wrong. Leaving my first thoughts underneath:----
I'm not somebody who usually puts reviews up, least of all when something works, but lately I've been making the effort, so here goes. Choosing an umbrella took me ages because I kept reading the lowest ratings first. By the time I'd finished those I'd talked myself out of each one, never mind how many people were happy with it. I considered spending quite a bit more, then couldn't see anything in the comments to convince me that meant better value.
Ended up choosing this and haven't regretted it. Around a month of use when I first wrote this, with rain and some windy days, and it was doing a good job. You do have to pay attention to where the wind is coming from, it's still an umbrella. Mine hasn't turned inside out when I've been a bit careless about that. The automatic opening is handy too.
For what I paid I'm happy with the coverage and how solid it feels. If it eventually wears out I won't feel I've spent a fortune on it, which I couldn't say about some of the expensive ones I considered. Worth getting rather than spending ages comparing everything like I did. Folds down to a sensible size, although I wouldn't mind a little less weight to carry.
Haley Christian
Very happy to include it in the auction!!
Another purchase for the silent auction at my golf outing fundraiser. I wanted something practical that people would be pleased to bid on, and this umbrella looks the part. Feels very well put together, and the button opening and canopy closing are a nice touch. Very happy to include it in the auction!!
Anthony Conrad
Very impressed by how well these umbrellas are put together.
Very impressed by how well these umbrellas are put together. Opened up, there is generous cover, even for two if you stand close. The flexible ribs feel reassuring when a breeze comes through. Folded, mine travels comfortably in a backpack. At this price I can certainly see myself getting another couple.

i've used this kind of umbrella before and came back for another.
i've used this kind of umbrella before and came back for another. on walks in the southern california heat, having that bit of shade over me makes a real difference. it folds small enough to put in my bag, so it usually comes with me when i travel too. i have tried plenty of umbrellas but this is the sort i actually keep using.
Stephanie Henry
The canopy is attractive and the handle feels solid.
It feels well made. The canopy is attractive and the handle feels solid. The button is convenient, though returning it to its folded length still involves shortening the stem manually. Slightly cumbersome, but once I understood the steps it was simple enough to manage.
Jo Morrow
Opening and packing it away are definitely jobs for me at his age.
My 2 year old wanted an umbrella of his own after seeing his big sister use hers. He is delighted with this one, although it is a full sized umbrella once open and I help him hold it. Opening and packing it away are definitely jobs for me at his age. The fabric and frame seem sound and several outings later everything is still working nicely. It should have plenty of growing room, so for what we wanted I am happy with the choice.
Rose Andrews
We'll see how it goes!
Not much rain here since we got it, so it hasn't had a proper long outing yet. My son is fascinated with it though and wants to bring it along everywhere. He loves being the one to press the button while I help with putting it away, very important to do things himself at two and a half. It seems nicely put together and not flimsy at all. We'll see how it goes!
Bailey Summers
Handsome umbrella, nicely put together.
Handsome umbrella, nicely put together. Makes me feel rather smart walking around Seattle. Not enormous, so my overfilled backpack doesn't always get the same shelter I do.The oval handle isn't my favourite shape, but that's a small quibble with something I otherwise enjoy carrying.

This pink umbrella makes a grey day feel a little less gloomy!
This pink umbrella makes a grey day feel a little less gloomy! The colour looks lovely in person, not washed out. It has a sturdy feel and has lasted well through nearly two years of use. A little more than I'd normally spend on an umbrella, but it's been worth paying for something I still enjoy taking out.
