This has been a very good umbrella.

This has been a very good umbrella. The button opening and canopy closing are quick, and it feels sturdy without being a nuisance to carry. A few shakes gets most of the water off before I go inside. Living in a tropical country means regular heavy showers, so it gets used rather than just sitting around. Eight months on, the action is still smooth and it dries out nicely after use!

We LOVE how convenient this umbrella is.

We LOVE how convenient this umbrella is. Two of us can squeeze underneath for a short walk. Getting into the car is the best part; I stay under cover until I'm seated, press the button to gather the canopy, then bring it inside and rest it by my feet. SO EASY. It still needs pushing down afterwards, but that can wait. Mom liked hers, Dad wanted one for Christmas after trying it, and my sister has one now too. Ordering online was convenient.

The button opens it with a nice smooth action.

Very similar in feel to my old umbrella, which was considerably more expensive (even discounted). The button opens it with a nice smooth action. The handle isn't anything fancy, but it feels well finished for what I paid (the expensive one wasn't any nicer). No complaints from me. Just remember it is an umbrella, not something to lean your weight on!

It looks lovely and kept me nicely dry!

Had the chance to try this the very day it arrived, as the rain was coming down hard. It looks lovely and kept me nicely dry! There was wind as well, and it felt reassuringly solid. The button is a big help for getting it up quickly and bringing the canopy down again. Size suits me perfectly, not one of those enormous umbrellas but doesn't leave me feeling exposed either. A much more substantial umbrella than I had expected for the price!

A small extra step, but not a problem!

Cream White caught my eye, and honestly I ordered it mostly for the looks. Afterwards I read some umbrella reviews and got a bit nervous about what would turn up. But out of the packaging it was so...nicely put together! It doesn't feel like a cheap little throwaway. I take it along quite often now and use it for shade as well as rain. It feels sturdy, though I wouldn't deliberately test it against a really strong wind. Give it room when you press the opening button and it's very straightforward! For putting it away, the button brings the canopy in, then you push the shaft down yourself. A small extra step, but not a problem! I find it easier to carry once it's properly gathered up. (Much tidier, too!) If you're wondering about coverage, it's about 105cm across when open, which is comfortable for me with a little space around my shoulders. Folded it's around 40cm, so do check that against the bag you want it in. The oval loop is closed rather than a hook...which is worth noticing if you're looking at the pictures. It's a handheld umbrella, not something huge for sitting under! I'm very satisfied with how it looks and feels, and would happily choose it again! =) Such a lovely find!!!!!!!!!

What I liked: Manageable to carry, useful for shade, a good amount of cover in rain, neat enough for the city, lots of ribs supporting the canopy, a button instead of having to open it manually. About 390g is reasonable to me--I'm not trying to save every last ounce (some people are, which is fair enough. What I disliked: Folded length is around 40cm, so compact doesn't mean it disappears into a small purse, and getting the fabric neatly arranged afterwards takes some patience. I straighten the folds rather than just scrunching everything together. Little details like that tend to bother me more than most people, but overall I like the balance of usefulness and appearance.

Beige is a lovely colour on a gloomy rainy day.

After losing the one I had, I was pleased to find a replacement. Beige is a lovely colour on a gloomy rainy day. The button takes care of opening and shutting the canopy, then I press the telescoping stem down by hand before putting it away. Not much to it really, and I'm glad to have another.

A useful umbrella that looks good as well.

Finally got to take this umbrella out on a sunny but breezy day. It gives me a comfortable patch of shade without feeling like I am carrying a big umbrella around. The ribs have a little give to them, which I noticed when a gust caught the edge. I could keep a decent grip and didn't have to wrestle with it the whole walk. Went with black and it looks quite neat. The button opening is handy, and it folds down to something I can carry easily. A useful umbrella that looks good as well.

Jeffrey Best

First off, the blue looks good.

Walking around the city on a wet day is a fairly good test of an umbrella. The gaps between tall buildings seem to funnel every gust straight at you. I picked this one up without giving it a lot of thought and it's been a pleasant surprise. First off, the blue looks good. It's a welcome change from all the black ones on the pavement, without looking loud. The oval loop handle feels solid too and gives the whole thing a neat finish. But the looks aren't the main thing here. What matters is how it behaves when the weather gets unpleasant. I've watched other umbrellas turn inside out nearby while this one has kept its shape. Rain coverage has been good, and I haven't felt like I was constantly fighting to keep it over me. Pretty impressive for something that folds up. One thing worth mentioning - not something I'd take a star off for. A gust can still catch underneath and give your hand a decent tug, even though the canopy is holding its shape. Having that closed loop to hold helps, and it hasn't slipped away from me. Still, anyone with a weaker grip should keep that in mind. It isn't going to make the wind disappear, you do still need to hang onto it.

very nice, tidy packaging, the umbrella feels properly made, the ribs have some give instead of feeling stiff, fabric is nice to touch, comes with its own sleeve, neat when folded, the cover feels pleasant, not a burden to carry. I wanted something like this for ages, opening it gives a good spread, just right for one person.

Dennis Richards

Performance is good.

Performance is good. Size: about 105 cm open, weight: around 390 grams. Press the handle button and the umbrella extends and opens.press again, The canopy folds in but the telescopic pole stays extended. You compress that part by hand to reset it, which is normal for this design. I keep my thumb away from the button once it's open so I don't close it accidentally. A useful convenience when your hands are busy, isn't it?

Shopping outside in the rain was a lot less annoying with this.

Shopping outside in the rain was a lot less annoying with this. I had my purse. bags from the shops, and could open the umbrella with a press instead of fighting with it. Going inside, another press folds the canopy, then I push the shaft down by hand ready for next time. So useful when you're in and out of stores. It has felt sturdy in use too, not something I'm worried about every time a breeze comes along. I can't speak for anybody else's experience, but mine has been excellent.

Beverly Brewer

I like how neatly it folds, small enough to go inside my handbag.

Mine has been through many rainy seasons and still gets used. The loop handle is comfortable in my hand, and the frame has coped well when the wind picks up.I like how neatly it folds, small enough to go inside my handbag. The button opening is my favourite part, no fuss when it starts raining. I would happily buy more and give one to all the people in my family.

Jack Chaney

feels solid, pink colour is nice.

It gives a decent patch of shade, i felt much more comfortable standing under it in the sun. feels solid, pink colour is nice. button opens it quickly and another press brings the canopy in. i found you still need to shorten the telescoping part by hand afterwards, holding the handle and top and pushing them together. that part takes a firm push, it isn't all done by the button. the button itself needs a definite press too. keep a good grip when it opens as there is a bit of a jump. had a look underneath while holding it towards the light, and it does make a good shade umbrella.

Caroline Raymond

it makes a nice solid shade, you certainly can't see through it!

The finish seems much nicer than expected, even around the ribs and handle. there's still a slight smell, hopefully some airing will sort that out. green on the outside and black underneath. it makes a nice solid shade, you certainly can't see through it! i'm happy with what i paid

Christopher Nichols

Mine came safely boxed, on time, and in excellent shape.

I wanted a replacement umbrella with decent coverage and kept finding little compact ones instead. Came across this while "just looking" one evening and liked the look of it straight away. The pink is so pretty! It's still a folding umbrella, but there is a useful amount of room underneath when it's open. I can hold it high enough to see where I'm going without feeling awkward. The build seems good, despite some comments that had made me hesitate. I do think people sometimes forget to adjust how they hold an umbrella when it's breezy. Mine came safely boxed, on time, and in excellent shape. An easy recommendation if you want something pretty that is useful too.

Belinda Chase

I've got this folding umbrella as well as a long umbrella.

I've got this folding umbrella as well as a long umbrella. Both have been useful and I'm happy with them.***update:Still have it, although there hasn't been much call for umbrellas since we left Germany for the states. It lives in the car here in Florida now. Everything has lasted fine, just bear in mind it hasn't been getting constant use over the last three years

I originally bought this to use as a jellyfish for Halloween and it worked out really well. The cream white was right for that, but now it gets used as an ordinary umbrella too. Quite a lot of cover once it's open, more than I expected from the folded size, and I've had several complements on how it looks.I hold it a little higher so I can see ahead properly and it keeps the rain off nicely.

Teresa Leon

Quality looks good as well.

An adorable umbrella (and not a tiny one)! Quality looks good as well. I expected the beige to be paler, so I wasn't entirely sure about it at first. It was for a table display at my business though, and the warmer shade ended up working beautifully with the other things I'd already arranged on the table.

Brandi Salinas

I'm not strong, and wrestling an umbrella beside the car ...

Trying to manage a toddler, stroller and diaper bag in the wet? Being able to open this with one button is a blessing.I'm not strong, and wrestling an umbrella beside the car ... no thanks. A press collapses the canopy, then I push the shaft in by hand once inside. So much simpler!

Perry Dunlap

Nice wide canopy and the whole thing feels solid.

Nice wide canopy and the whole thing feels solid. gives good shade from the sun as well as keeping rain off. one drawback is how quickly it springs open, so watch who's nearby when you press that button. not ideal to do it in a crowd. the other thing is pushing the shaft down after the canopy closes, that takes a fair bit of effort because of the spring. i find bracing the handle against a wall or the floor helps with that part. apart from those things it's a very good umbrella.

Beth Nielsen

Looks lovely in the pictures :] Couldn't be happier with it!

This was the umbrella I picked for our engagement photos, and I was excited to see how it would look. The size turned out just right for what we wanted. It seems really nicely made too!! I didn't mind spending the money once I had it in my hands. I can see myself using it long after the photos are done, not just putting it away. Looks lovely in the pictures :] Couldn't be happier with it!

Laura Haney

Would have liked more coverage at this price, though.

It's handled gusts well, and the button for opening and closing the canopy is great. Would have liked more coverage at this price, though. The build does feel substantial. Seems cheaper in the long run than endlessly replacing bargain umbrellas that collapse if you so much as sneeze near them.

Frank Zamora

Worth a look if you fancy something a little different.

It's more my backup than my everyday umbrella, since it's a little long folded and the cover is really for one person. Still, it's reliable and I like having it about. The loop handle gives it a different look that people notice. I've had mine nearly three years now and don't regret buying it. Worth a look if you fancy something a little different.

Chloe Aguirre

Very tidy workmanship on this umbrella!

Very tidy workmanship on this umbrella! Haven't tested it with strong wind yet, but the frame compared with my previous umbrellas - it does look more substantial. There are a lot of ribs supporting it. Description agrees with what arrived - green outside, black underneath and button automatic to open and collapse the canopy. I am pleasantly surprised by how well it is put together and hope to be using this for a long while.

Casey English

These umbrellas are well worth the price.

These umbrellas are well worth the price. They give a useful amount of cover, and yes, they're not the tiniest things once folded. I mean it's still a portable umbrella, just not something I'd expect to slip in a little pocket. My husband plays golf so we're used to carrying umbrellas and the size doesn't bother us. I'd sooner have something that feels well put together than worry over a bit of bulk. For the money, a really, really good buy.

Bridget Roach

Perhaps it'll feel easier w/use.

Easy to carry, one button to open AND fold the canopy, and a grip my arthritic hands can hold without discomfort. The shape is rather different from what I usually see round here. One drawback, though not a deal breaker - once the fabric folds you have to compress the telescoping shaft yourself. That needs a bit of effort with arthritis, although I can manage it. Perhaps it'll feel easier w/use. For the convenience of everything else, I'm quite willing to put up with that.

Kimberly Park

Had to get ANOTHER one of these.

Had to get ANOTHER one of these. The first one didn't wear out or do anything wrong. What happened then? Someone decided it belonged to them instead of me. Apparently people still do that. lol.I suppose I should take it as a compliment to the umbrella, it looked smart and was actually useful. Anyway I'm glad I could replace it, and the price was better than the other places I checked. Still happy with it and would buy again!!

Sonya House

Good value for something I can use for shade as well as rain.

A useful umbrella to take along for golf, the beach, or simply a walk when the weather looks doubtful. It gives me enough cover without being one of those enormous umbrellas you have to lug everywhere. The cream white is clean and attractive, and the action feels smooth when I open it or fold the canopy. Good value for something I can use for shade as well as rain. Umbrellas have certainly become more convenient. This one has been a pleasure to carry and use.

John Barrett

Still a nice color and for the price I'm very satisfied with it.

The fabric has a good solid feel, although I can't say much about long term durability yet. It has felt steady in the breezes I've used it in. I had pictured a lighter gray from the photos, but this looks a little deeper in person, especially out of the light. Still a nice color and for the price I'm very satisfied with it.

Tammy Fischer

Had to buy the same umbrella AGAIN.

Had to buy the same umbrella AGAIN. Not because there was a problem with it, somebody decided to take the first one. Why? well, I suppose they have good taste. lol.I liked the way it looked and felt, so I wanted the same thing back, even if people still steals. I checked a few places for a decent price and was glad to find it again.I'm happy with my purchas, just keeping a better eye on this one!!

Joseph Cameron

Hardly go out without it now.

Hardly go out without it now. It opens quickly for shade, which makes walking my dog in the hot sun a lot more comfortable. That little break from direct sun helps. I'd prefer a slightly wider canopy, but that's just me being particular, and I still use it all the time.

Willie Meyer

Finally an umbrella I can actually use with the baby!

Finally an umbrella I can actually use with the baby! With a purse and other bags to carry, I need more than something that just covers my head. There's enough room if I keep everything tucked in close. The blue looks like the photo too, and the frame seems solid in my hands. Very glad I chose it, I'd recommend it.

Chloe Francis

after that it's very easy to see the appeal.

Closed up, it's a reasonably compact umbrella, then one push and suddenly there's a proper canopy above you. We have started calling it the pop-up brolly. The single-button automatic opening / canopy closing is the feature that makes it for me. You still compress the telescoping stem yourself to pack it away, but not having to wrestle the fabric down is great. Try the action a couple of times indoors with enough room around you; after that it's very easy to see the appeal.

Elijah Bray

We've only had fairly ordinary rain so far and it's kept me dry.

The size suits walking around town, without feeling awkward on the pavement. I like having the sleeve to keep it tidy in my bag between uses. We've only had fairly ordinary rain so far and it's kept me dry. Still waiting for a windy wet day before I can say anything about how it handles that.

Sabrina Shaffer

So far they've been great!

There are three of us sharing a place and I ordered one each. So far they've been great! Mine has given me no trouble and the other two haven't had anything to complain about either. Plenty of cover for me and what I'm carrying when it rains. Beige turned out to be a good choice as well, since hardly anyone around us has that colour. Apart from my roommates of course. Easier to spot mine if I've set it down somewhere.

Guy Wu

Gives me good coverage in the rain and looks neat folded up as well.

A nice umbrella can cheer up a wet day, and I think the gray on this one looks lovely. My last umbrella gave me three years before it wore out, so I was glad to get a replacement I liked. It slips into my larger purse, although it's a little too long for the small one. Gives me good coverage in the rain and looks neat folded up as well.

Monique Edwards

very good umbrella.

very good umbrella. I took it through a wet winter in europe and have been happy with it. Folds up neatly, fits in my bag without much trouble. keeps the rain off my shoulders and briefcase, and two can squeeze underneath if needed. Having the button to open it or close the canopy helps when my other hand is full. Still worth watching the edges when passing people on narrow pavements, there is more cover than you might think.

Jeanette Howell

small doesn't mean you can ignore the wind....

This is my second one and there's usually one in my bag. The first is still going after 3 yrs., just looking a little tired. A word of caution tho....small doesn't mean you can ignore the wind....I still angle it into a strong breeze rather than letting it catch underneath. For everyday shade and showers it's so handy, and I haven't wanted to carry anything larger.

Tyler Campos

Looking forward to having it handy through the rainy season.

Winter here brings plenty of wet days, so a decent umbrella matters to me. I enjoy the simple look of this one, and the canopy gives me good coverage without being awkward to carry. The material feels substantial rather than flimsy. It seems like something I'll get plenty of use from, which makes the price worthwhile to me. Looking forward to having it handy through the rainy season.

Karen Morton

They feel sturdy and the button opening works well...

Ordered four for my daughter's wedding... Seeing them in person was even nicer than the photos... They feel sturdy and the button opening works well... The quality was just what I wanted for the day... I'd happily suggest these to anyone looking for a good umbrella...

Teresa Baker

On sunny days I take it for shade as well.

For a couple of years now this has gone with me on most of my walks. It feels light in the hand but not flimsy, and the flexible ribs have coped well with the gusts I've encountered. The fabric still looks sound despite being opened and folded over and over. I cover ten miles or more most weeks, all year round, so it gets plenty of use rather than sitting in a cupboard. On sunny days I take it for shade as well. The button opens it quickly when a shower catches me; to put it away I collapse the canopy with another press and manually compress the shaft. I let it dry open before folding it up properly. After that much use I'm very pleased with how it's lasted!

Valerie Espinoza

Worth spending a little more...

Worth spending a little more... after getting fed up with flimsy umbrellas, I wanted one I wouldn't be replacing straight away. This seems like that sort of umbrella. The ribs have some give and it has handled the wind well so far. I never thought an automatic button mattered much, but it's rather useful when your hands are full. (I've managed my messenger bag, yoga mat and lunch with this, though pressing the button only closes the canopy; you still push the stem down yourself :) ). The fabric seems substantial, and I find the oval handle a good shape to grip. Nothing fancy to learn, just a practical umbrella I'm glad I bought.

Casey Horton

The pink outside is very pretty and underneath it's black, which you do notice, it looks quite small and a bit delicate folded but after using it I don't find it any weaker than a regular umbrella, it goes back into its sleeve neatly and is easy to take along in case the rain starts.

Joy Pham

Finally an umbrella that feels worth keeping!

Finally an umbrella that feels worth keeping! Nice looking, good cover, and it feels like a proper umbrella. I've spent enough on cheap ones over the years and would rather have this one than another flimsy thing. Two of us can tuck underneath if we stay close, while for me alone it's comfortably roomy. Don't keep buying something you dislike carrying when you can have an umbrella you're actually happy to take out.

Carlos English

It's manageable to carry and feels sturdy in use.

My 70 year old mother was fed up with umbrellas blowing inside out, so I bought her this one. She's delighted with it. It's manageable to carry and feels sturdy in use. The black is plain, which suits her fine. There's room for us to share if we stand close at outdoor soccer games, and with nobody sitting behind us we aren't worrying about blocking anyone's view. A very successful purchase.

Karen Carrillo

My nine year old loves the look of this umbrella.

My nine year old loves the look of this umbrella. She's tall for her age so I wanted something with enough cover for her on lightly rainy days. It's been just right, and she finds it easy to use. If the rain isn't blowing sideways it keeps her nicely dry. Mainly she's thrilled with how it looks.

Heather Ross

It feels reasonably robust and gives me a useful amount of shelter.

In Tallahassee the rain can turn up with very little warning, so I need an umbrella with me rather than left at home. This is a convenient size for the side pocket of my backpack and doesn't make carrying it a nuisance. I haven't had to trade all the sturdiness for that convenience either. It feels reasonably robust and gives me a useful amount of shelter.

Raymond Baldwin

Plenty of room under it without having to carry a huge umbrella.

buying an umbrella can be hit or miss, this one has been a good find. The beige is lovely and the push button makes getting it open really simple. Plenty of room under it without having to carry a huge umbrella. the sleeve is useful too. one of my better purchases.

Lindsay Bush

Very happy with the few that made it home!

We had several of these for the wedding party, and they were just right. Just three returned to us once the reception was over, and those are still getting plenty of use now, The push button is handy and I like how neatly they fold down afterward. The plain look doesn't worry me, being dry is the important part. Very happy with the few that made it home! :-)
