This umbrella always makes me happy. I've had mine for years and people often say how much they like it when I'm using it. So I bought another for someone who was forever admiring mine! He was SO pleased to get his own, which made me happy too!Nice when a gift is useful as well as pretty. Mine has been dependable, not just nice to look at. :-) Thank you.

Surprisingly nice umbrella for what it costs.
Surprisingly nice umbrella for what it costs. The sleeve keeps it tidy and the oval handle is handy to grab, makes it feel like some serious equipment rather than my usual crumpled umbrella. Really convenient. Once it's open there's a good solid feel to it and it has handled breezes nicely. Quite a lot for the money, I almost feel guilty :)

I'm tired of umbrellas that seem meant to be thrown away.
I'm tired of umbrellas that seem meant to be thrown away. Equally, I don't fancy lugging something huge and expensive around just to leave it somewhere. This suits me nicely. It's not a tiny pocket umbrella, but slips into my backpack or canvas bag without a fuss. Feels substantial enough for ordinary use, which is really all I wanted from it.

Roomy, sturdy, attractive and reasonably priced.
Roomy, sturdy, attractive and reasonably priced. Hard to ask for much else! I use a wheelchair and needed cover while my wife pushes, with some room for her close behind me. This has worked nicely. Six months of use, including the rainy season here in South Florida, and it still looks fresh. I'm pleased with how it has held up.

The umbrellas themselves are lovely!
There was a bit of confusion with my initial shipment, but the help I received was very good and everything was sorted out. Really appreciated getting a clear answer rather than having to chase it.The umbrellas themselves are lovely! I bought three - Nicely put together and such a pretty choice for a wedding!

I also like the closed loop handle.
Replacing one bargain umbrella after another was getting old, so I spent some time reading before making this purchase. I wanted useful coverage and a frame that felt substantial, not simply the smallest thing I could find. This has turned out to be a sensible choice. The fabric and ribs feel well put together, and I have been satisfied with it in the rain. It is still compact enough when folded that carrying it doesn't defeat the point of having an umbrella handy. I also like the closed loop handle. Different from the usual handle, but it gives me a secure grip and has been comfortable in use. The opening button is another convenience that I appreciate. I wouldn't claim any umbrella is right for every sort of weather; for ordinary use this one has been very good. The price seemed fair for the quality, and it is something I would consider giving as a practical present. I would certainly recommend it over continually buying flimsy little umbrellas.

Sent this to my brother-in-law at Christmas.
Sent this to my brother-in-law at Christmas. I wasn't there when he opened it, so had to wait for the verdict (ha). He likes it a lot- says it feels well made and will be useful. I chose the blue one. Hopefully that makes it easier to spot if somebody "accidentally" picks up the wrong umbrella...( his last one was taken while I had borrowed it---too many similar umbrellas around to work out who walked off with it).
Ethan Donaldson
A good backup with some character.
It's more of a spare for me than my everyday umbrella, partly because the folded length is a little awkward (for me), and I like more generous coverage. Still, it is dependable and the unusual handle gets noticed, which I enjoy. I've had it almost three years now and I'm glad I went for something a bit different. A good backup with some character.

Overall a great umbrella for the price.
I'm about 6 feet tall and I usually hold an umbrella a little higher, so decent coverage matters to me.This gray one gives me enough room without feeling like I'm carrying something massive. It still needs a firm grip if the wind gets up, which is fair enough. The automatic opening is really handy and after a month of use the button has been working without any fuss.I wasn't sure about the oval loop handle at first. It's a closed shape rather than the usual hook, and my hand fits around it fine, just a different feeling to what I was used to. The whole thing folds up neatly when I'm done, so it isn't a long stick to find somewhere for. Overall a great umbrella for the price.

The quality seems excellent.
No rain since mine arrived, so I've only opened it indoors to get a feel for it. The quality seems excellent. The oval loop handle is my favourite part of the design. Looking forward to taking it out when the weather finally turns! A lovely umbrella--glad I spent the money on it.

What a sweet little umbrella!
What a sweet little umbrella! I had been looking for something cheerful to use as a sun parasol for quite a while. The lace ones I have are lovely to look at, but let rather more sunshine through than I want, and my large fabric one is such a nuisance to carry around. I wanted an easier option for those ordinary summer strolls when I don't want to haul half the house along with me. This pink one folds down to about 40cm, so it is a much more manageable little parcel, with a closed oval loop for the handle. Opened up, it is a comfortable size for making my own patch of shade, with sunblock as well, of course. Into my roomy shoulder bag it goes when I am finished. The fabric feels nice, and the pink is just the cheerful look I was hoping for. I rather like the contrast with the black underneath, too. It feels like something I will actually take out rather than admire and then leave at home. The frame seems well made, and the opening button is very convenient. It came neatly wrapped, too, which is always nice when buying something with moving parts. I can quite see myself wanting another because I find this one so appealing. One small note......pressing the button closes the canopy, not the whole length of the umbrella. You push the shaft down by hand afterwards. Once I understood that little step it was easy enough, and hasn't taken away from how much I like it.

Treated myself to this before london, then realised it wouldnt fit the little bag I was taking so it stayed home. Bit of a shame, but since getting back to the states I've used it plenty and its my favourite. It has a much more expensive look than the price suggests, friends keep asking where I found such a nice umbrella for so little!
Kenneth Watkins
It works, just takes getting used to.
A reasonably compact black umbrella, with a closed loop handle that is convenient to carry alongside a bag. The opening has more of a snap than I prefer. It works, just takes getting used to. The whole thing looks neatly finished and the sleeve is useful. Still early days, but my first impression is a good one.

For what I paid, I'm happy with the quality.
I was out on the pavement in heavy rain with two other people. A gust caught their umbrellas and turned them inside out...this one kept its shape. That says quite a lot about how it feels to use! I'm not expecting it to be indestructible, no umbrella is going to win against every gust, but it's felt dependable. The coverage is decent too, my shoulders aren't getting soaked while only my head stays dry. For what I paid, I'm happy with the quality.

Our little boy had been asking and asking for an umbrella, so we finally got this one. I wasn't convinced it would survive, as he's pretty hard on his belongings and he's only four. We do help him with it and keep an eye on how it's used, but so far it's coping with regular outings really well (and looks rather sweet).

Third time buying this umbrella now.
Third time buying this umbrella now. The first got left in a taxi after being a great help with the rain in Puerto Rico. Number two went missing too, after plenty of use on my public transport commute. Neither replacement was because I disliked the umbrella! I'd rather hang onto this one for longer, but if I lose it again I know what I'll buy!
Garrett Barry
The coverage is good for something that folds down.
This is about what I was looking for. There is a little more weight here than with the tiny folding umbrellas I've had, but it feels more substantial as well. I wouldn't choose it for the smallest handbag or if every bit of weight mattered. For me it makes more sense to keep it in the car, ready for collecting someone or coming back from the grocery store in rain. It will go in my backpack, though I do have to allow room for it rather than expect it to disappear into a corner. The coverage is good for something that folds down. My one small gripe is that pressing the button only folds the canopy, and I still need both hands to compress the telescoping part afterwards. Nothing wrong with it, just a little extra effort when my hands are full. (Such hardship~~)

It has turned out even nicer than I expected.
It has turned out even nicer than I expected. My husband had it for Father's Day and he is delighted with it. I would happily buy another without thinking twice. My husband likes it so much he won't put it away until he's dried it:)Thanks again, from a VERY CONTENT CUSTOMER

Sooo pleased with this umbrella!
Sooo pleased with this umbrella! i haven't had rain to try it in yet, but it's been good for shade and breezy days. heavier than a tiny folding one, still nicer to carry than a big long umbrella. the button spreads it out and pulls the canopy in. afterwards i press the shaft down myself. it's quite loud too. my cat wants nothing to do with it.
Vanessa Gentry
My last automatic umbrella lasted me six years before I lost it.
My last automatic umbrella lasted me six years before I lost it. We get a lot of rain here, so an umbrella isn't something that sits unused for months. The really tiny handbag ones never give me the coverage I want, especially when the rain comes sideways. This one folds down to a manageable size but opens wide enough to cover me properly. Being able to collapse the canopy quickly when getting into the car is a big plus. Then I push the pole down by hand. Simple.I don't expect any umbrella to be indestructible, and I take care of mine rather than leaving it wet and crumpled up. Happy with this as a replacement and I would certainly recommend it.

Gave my father this for christmas.
Gave my father this for christmas. He's retired and plays golf 3 times a week, so he wanted an umbrella with decent coverage. He's been talking it up ever since. Opens quickly, isn't tiring to carry, and keeps him covered heading back to the clubhouse. From the way he shows it off, you'd think I'd given him something far more exciting.

no different shades to work around...
we wanted black umbrellas for the wedding photos and these worked nicely together. i was more interested in how they looked as a group than anything else, and the black was just right. no different shades to work around...they gave us the coordinated look we were going for.

I had a pink umbrella in 2013, kept it for about six months then left it somewhere and that was that. Expected this to feel much the same, but the build isn't quite as nice (I'd put it around 7, with the old one a 9).It works fine and is well above the cheap and nasty ones that become a hazard to everyone nearby in a gust,Not a bad umbrella really, and it packs down quite small. The sleeve is the nuisance, easy to set aside while you're using the umbrella and then forget it. Would rather have some way of keeping it with the umbrella instead of something else to remember.
Emily Santana
Very happy to have it on rainy days!
The Northwest gives an umbrella plenty to do, and I'm tired of seeing discarded ones after a wet, windy day. This one has already been out with me in two storms and stayed the right way round!! There is enough cover for me with my bag tucked in close, which is what I needed. It takes up a little more room in my bag than the really tiny umbrellas, but I'll take that trade. So far it feels like money well spent. Very happy to have it on rainy days!
Rodney Townsend
Enough room for two people if we keep close together.
I needed to replace the umbrella I kept in the car and gave this one a try because the price seemed reasonable. There wasn't much feedback to read at the time, but it's worked out well. It's been through one wet and windy outing and stayed in shape. Enough room for two people if we keep close together. The button shuts the canopy, which is handy when I'm getting into the car and don't want to stand outside folding it. The shaft still needs pushing down by hand, so bringing it inside is a little awkward until that's done. Once packed away it sits out of the way. Overall, very happy with the price and the umbrella, and hoping it gives me plenty of use.
Kylie Fry
This one has been a good buy and I'd happily recommend it!
Living in the Caribbean, an umbrella isn't something I want to replace every time the weather changes!!! I've relied on umbrellas here for ten years, so I care more about how they feel in use than fancy promises. This one has been a good buy and I'd happily recommend it!
UPDATE! I got two recently, one for me and one for my mother, and we're both STILL HAPPY! The fabric feels decent, the ribs flex without feeling flimsy, and the button is straightforward to use. It gives me the cover I need for ordinary rainy days without being a huge thing to carry. My old umbrella is still around, but these are the ones we're reaching for now! BTW - no need for dramatic weather to appreciate something that just works!
Larry Jenkins
Works as it should.
Works as it should. That's all I needed. My old umbrella finally wore out after thirty years, and I wanted a replacement that could live in the same place. There's a tray for an umbrella beside the driver's door in my van, which is a sensible bit of design. This fits there nicely, just like the one I kept all those years.
Timothy Diaz
Handy umbrellas, and it's nice knowing he has one where he needs it.
I picked up two pink umbrellas for my husband, one to leave in the truck and one at his office. He'd been making do with his old ones while mine carried on working perfectly well.He finally said he wanted the same kind as mine, so here we are! I like the folding size because I can put mine in a purse rather than carry it around all day. Handy umbrellas, and it's nice knowing he has one where he needs it.
Derek Shepherd
I don't want to carry a bigger bag purely to accommodate an umbrella.
The blue fabric is gorgeous and people have commented on how nice it looks, which isn't something I normally expect from an umbrella. I would be happier if it folded down a bit smaller. It's handy having something for shade that I can also keep up when a shower starts, because the weather here does that quite often. But that only helps if I've actually brought it along, and it takes up more room in my bag than I'd hoped. I don't want to carry a bigger bag purely to accommodate an umbrella. Or leave it at home because the morning looks sunny and end up wishing I'd made room for it. Or take a tiny spare as well, which rather defeats the point. I can see myself reaching for my plainer, smaller umbrella on days when space matters, despite preferring the look of this one. It does give comfortable shade and has been fine in the rain, so I'm not disappointed with that side of it. Also, pressing the button brings the canopy in, but pushing the shaft back down takes a firm shove. Getting everything neat enough for the sleeve is another little battle, so I mostly leave the sleeve at home.
Alejandra Fernandez
The folding size suits me really well.
The folding size suits me really well. Automatic opening is quick & simple; pressing again gathers in the canopy, and you finish by compressing the pole manually, as with others I've had.The simple design is smart without being fussy ... it is nice having something I enjoy carrying when the weather is miserable.
Mary Jimenez
Really pleased with it.
Just the sort I wanted--a generous canopy without having to carry a long umbrella. Packs neatly for travelling and takes up little space at home. There's proper coverage when it's open, not just a tiny roof over your head. The plain design looks smart enough for work. Really pleased with it.

SO HAPPY I LOOKED AROUND BEFORE BUYING.
SO HAPPY I LOOKED AROUND BEFORE BUYING.My mother had been wanting an automatic umbrella for ages but kept putting it off because of the prices she saw in shops. I said I would have a look for her and this seemed much more reasonable. It feels like good quality too, not just something cheap for the sake of it. She is delighted with how easily it opens.great purchase and I would happily get another one for her!

How can a pink umbrella NOT make the day a little nicer.
Rainy days used to annoy me, now I almost look for an excuse to take this out! How can a pink umbrella NOT make the day a little nicer. It looks cheerful amongst all the plain umbrellas around me. The sturdiness was a nice surprise for what I paid, too. The oval handle gives it a different look and it has enough substance for the windy, wet days here in Chicago. I'm seriously considering these for friends who are impossible to buy presents for.
Edward Flores
Easy to carry and doesn't weigh my bag down.
Easy to carry and doesn't weigh my bag down. My wife liked mine enough that I ended up getting her one as well. It's done fine in showers, although I haven't put it through a storm. The cover isn't enormous, but that's what my big golf umbrella is for, and I can't take that everywhere with me.
Kelli Ballard
The grip is rather small.
Pros:1. Packs down well enough for most of my bags.2. The canopy gives me, my wife and the baby enough cover if we stay close, useful in our tropical downpours.3. Even in really heavy rain it hasn't soaked through and started dripping on us underneath.4. Button opening and canopy closing make the dash between the car and a building much easier.5. The sleeve makes it convenient to carry.6. Six months of use and the button functions have been reliable. Previous umbrellas gave trouble almost straight away, so I was wary about trusting another. Cons;1. The grip is rather small. In windy weather I have to hold a little above the handle as well, taking care not to press the close button accidentally.

--- The blue looks good, the automatic opening is so convenient!
I've had this one for two years, only used it about five times,so I can't say much about constant use. -- But I do like carrying it.In a busy city, you don't want something enormous knocking everyone as you walk. This opens to a useful size and I can hold it above my eyeline, still see where I'm going.--- The blue looks good, the automatic opening is so convenient! My hesitation is the price. For an umbrella that spends most of its life put away,it feels like quite a lot to pay. I think a lower price would make it a much easier choice for somebody who only needs one occasionally. The loop handle is handy and it doesn't take up the space a long umbrella would. Nothing really wrong with how it works,I just keep coming back to the cost. A little cheaper and I'd have much less to think about.

To a ninja, carrying an umbrella must look like admitting defeat before the first raindrop has even arrived. For those of us who cannot sidestep weather, however, this is quite a useful arrangement. Press the button, acquire a small roof, continue being an ordinary damp-avoiding citizen. The danger comes when this modest success convinces you that you are now equipped to deal with suspicious alleyway characters and people dressed suspiciously like pirates. Being able to keep your head dry does not qualify you to rescue the neighbourhood. Especially when your impressive equipment is actually flexible ribs and fabric, and the villain is unlikely to surrender merely because you have opened it with confidence. There is a loop handle, so at least your hand has somewhere definite to go...although a proper ninja probably has no need for handles, or possibly hands, depending on the training manual.
Still, appearances count. Arriving somewhere without water dripping off your nose gives the impression of a person with a plan, which is about as close to mysterious competence as I generally get. This umbrella opens nicely, keeps the rain off me, and folds into something I can carry without planning an expedition. No sword skills have emerged, but neither was that essential to the purchase. Walk purposefully and let everyone assume the rest.
Five stars for staying reasonably civilised

Probably the nicest compact umbrella I've used so far.
Probably the nicest compact umbrella I've used so far.The button pops it open and draws the canopy shut again, with a manual push to shorten the shaft afterwards. Not quite magic, but close enough when you're trying not to get soaked. It feels well put together, and packing it away doesn't turn into a wrestling match just to get everything gathered up.I've had it out in a heavy downpour with some wind and came home dry, which is what matters. The sleeve fits it fine, though honestly I'm more likely to leave that in a drawer than bother with it every time. That isn't a complaint, just me being lazy about umbrella covers.I'd happily recommend this one!

Already thinking about getting another colour ...
Such a cheerful green umbrella - it makes a grey day feel a little less dull. The colour is lovely without being too much, so I can carry it with whatever I'm wearing. There's a good amount of shelter underneath and the fabric has a nice feel. Already thinking about getting another colour ...

She says it's as good as the umbrellas she's had before.
A gift for someone who lives in the city, and she says it's been great for staying dry on her walks. Cute, and feels strong enough for regular use. I'd been a little unsure after reading comments about it feeling flimsy, but her experience hasn't been like that at all. She says it's as good as the umbrellas she's had before.
Brent Parker
More cover than I expected.
More cover than I expected. Enough to protect my shoulders. Enough to make the rain find somebody else to annoy. And STILL folds down without feeling like I'm carrying a tent. I've had it out in wind and rain, and the ribs felt reassuringly sturdy. Folded it away afterwards, ready for another outing. Five stars.

Its a pleasant shade, not loud or hard to look at.
I went with blue. Its a pleasant shade, not loud or hard to look at. The umbrella seems put together properly and the push button takes care of opening and collapsing the canopy. Afterwards I push the shaft down by hand, which is straightforward. The sleeve goes on without much messing about once I have it folded neatly. I haven't tried it in a serious storm, but for rainy days with a bit of breeze it has behaved well. Would I like a little extra width? Maybe, but not enough to take a star off. I think of it as an umbrella for one, not two. There is space for me and my purse, but sharing would mean somebody gets a damp shoulder.

nice solid feel, decent fabric and easy enough to carry.
nice solid feel, decent fabric and easy enough to carry. our family spends alot of time watching soccer in the sun, so i wanted umbrellas we could take along without thinking about it. picked up 2 and they have been worth the money. enough shade for one person under each, and handy when it rains too. now they come with us instead of staying at home

I keep two of these for my patio pots rather than for walking.
I keep two of these for my patio pots rather than for walking. The mixed annuals, especially the begonias, tend to get battered by rain, and an open umbrella makes a useful temporary cover. I position one over each of the larger arrangements when rain is coming, then remove it afterwards so the plants have their daylight again. Visitors find the little umbrella arrangement rather cheerful when the rest of the patio is wet. These fold down, so I can put them away when they are not needed. The oval handle is not something I can just drop into the pipe sleeves in my planters. Instead I use my own short bungee cords to hold the handles beside the railing, with the canopies above the flowers. I check that nothing is pressing against the fabric. I am considering more for the pots along the rail, using the brackets already there. A slightly unusual use, but a useful one for me.
Beth Mclean
A really useful umbrella.
A really useful umbrella. There is enough room under it to stay dry but I'm not constantly knocking into things with the edge. It looks pretty as well, rather than just something practical to carry around. Opening it with the handle button is easy, and another press collapses the canopy. My only gripe is the firm push needed to shorten the telescoping part afterwards. That takes some strength. Still an excellent umbrella!
Ricky Oliver
No complaints about the extra weight when I'm staying drier.
After getting wet below the waist with my old little umbrella in heavy rain, I wanted something that covered me better. This one has made a BIG difference. No complaints about the extra weight when I'm staying drier. Still folds down for carrying, and the loop handle feels good in my hand. I'd have no hesitation getting another.

Received it all in good order.
Received it all in good order. I have ordered before and my wife has bought one for me too, we have been pleased with them. The mechanism works well, a press opens it and another brings the canopy together, then I compress the telescopic section by hand to get the short carrying size. That last part is manual and it stays closed. It has managed the rainy, windy days I have used it on, the ribs have some give and the frame seems strong. No water coming through above me. I will add more after longer use, for now everything is good
Regina Hoover
I like having a closed oval handle that my hand can grip securely.
I wanted something sturdy - and cheerful enough to spot - and this has worked out well. The pink stands out nicely on a dull day, and the canopy gives me good shelter without being awkward to carry. I like having a closed oval handle that my hand can grip securely. Once finished, it packs neatly into its sleeve rather than leaving me with a long umbrella to carry. The whole thing feels thoughtfully put together and easy to keep track of. A sensible purchase which I hope not to leave behind!

but this blue one really cheers me up--i love seeing it spring open.
I've had folding umbrellas like this before and managed to leave more than one behind! but this blue one really cheers me up--i love seeing it spring open. It's held its shape when it gets breezy, and there's room to squeeze someone beside me if needed. Easily a favourite, if I can just remember to bring it home!

this umbrella earns its keep in sun and rain!
this umbrella earns its keep in sun and rain! Gives me shade when it's hot and does a great job keeping showers off too.it doesn;t vanish into a tiny purse though, even folded. Fits my bigger bag fine, just not what I'd pick if i was counting every ounce for back packing. Very happy to use it as my everyday umbrella.
