My first automatic umbrella, and I'm delighted with it!
My first automatic umbrella, and I'm delighted with it! It gives me a nice bit of shelter without being awkward to carry. I have been careful handling the folding parts because they look rather delicate, but nothing has given me any trouble. People have commented on how cute it looks; I like it more every time I use it!

What a sweet looking umbrella!!
What a sweet looking umbrella!! The oval loop handle was a pleasant surprise, and it feels solid for the price. My four year old likes standing under it and is fascinated by the button. I do the opening with him rather than letting him wave it about, but it's straightforward to use (We haven't had any pinched fingers so far).
Mario Garrison
It feels reassuringly solid in the hand.
Here in Florida my husband pays more attention to umbrella frames than I ever did, because we get so much sudden rain. He likes the flexible ribs on this one and I like having decent cover without carrying a huge umbrella. It feels reassuringly solid in the hand. I think this is going to be a real help when those afternoon showers catch me out.

Was a nice gift!
Bought this for my boyfriend, he likes things that look simple. Was a nice gift! The green looks good even folded down, neat enough to carry around without looking silly. Also the quality is good, it is a proper useful umbrella and not just for the look. In the pictures the colour looked nice and in person i like it more. However, pressing close does not shorten the whole pole... you push that part down yourself (not really hard, just something to know).
Larry Stanton
The size suits me and it feels solid.
My umbrella arrived about a week after the other things I bought that day. Having used it, I'm satisfied with it. The size suits me and it feels solid. The opening button and getting it into its sleeve needed a little practice, but I have the hang of both now.

For wet weather with some wind this has been a very good umbrella.
For wet weather with some wind this has been a very good umbrella. There are alot of ribs and they have some flex to them, not just a stiff frame. The canopy moves a bit with a gust rather then feeling like it is fighting it. I have had cheaper big umbrellas that felt much less secure in my hand. This one is smaller to carry but gives good cover when open. Better put together then the ones I used before.
Gina Cordova
This has been just right.
For travelling I wanted something that would fit in my bag but still give me proper cover once it was open. We've had a lot of heavy rain in Georgia this summer, so a tiny canopy wasn't going to do. This has been just right. The beige looks softer than the usual dark umbrellas too, which makes it a little nicer to bring out on gloomy days.
Mariah Bright
Pretty good overall, just not outstanding.
Replaced a similar umbrella that I left behind (surely I'm not the only person leaving these in restaurants?). Happy with the flexible ribs and the way it opens. The fabric feels a little thinner than my previous umbrella. Pretty good overall, just not outstanding.
Breanna Lee
He is delighted with it, which makes me happy to recommend it.
My son had been asking for a blue umbrella, but the ones we saw locally looked rather flimsy. Decided to try this instead. It gives him more cover than the small ones we looked at and feels MUCH more substantial. He is delighted with it, which makes me happy to recommend it.

Now I don't notice anything at all.
At first there was that slightly "plasticky" smell you sometimes get with new things. I left it open to air and it gradually disappeared. Now I don't notice anything at all. Having it pop open with a button is really convenient, and the coverage has been very good in the rain.
Courtney Adams
There is a nice solid feel to this umbrella.
There is a nice solid feel to this umbrella. The size suits me very well and the gray is an attractive color. It has been useful for rain and for shade. A little weightier than I expected, but I don't mind that when it feels this sturdy. I'm satisfied with it.
Cory Bush
I recommend this umbrella, the quality is good.
The parcel was dispatched quickly. Very good service. Thank you to the seller, wishing you success in business. I recommend this umbrella, the quality is good. Getting here took longer than expected, but the delay seemed to be with the post, not with the seller.
Jake Clarke
The black looks much as it did in the photos.
The black looks much as it did in the photos. Neat looking and fairly compact. Being able to open it and collapse the canopy with the same button is useful. A gust caught it while I was out, but it held its shape, which I was glad about. I'd wanted something I could keep using for a good while, and this feels like a good choice.
Bailey Matthews
This one has been excellent.
Most days an umbrella can stay tucked away, but on the days you need it you want proper cover. This one has been excellent. Surprisingly roomy for something that folds up, enough for me and someone tucked close beside me. It feels like somebody thought about actually using it in rain!
Molly Galvan
I live somewhere the wind always seems to find you on a rainy day.
I live somewhere the wind always seems to find you on a rainy day. For a long time I relied on a hooded winter coat instead of bothering with an umbrella. Even the five blocks between home and the train station could feel like too much, and I'd sometimes arrange a lift rather than arrive wet. This one has made that walk much more manageable. It opens quickly and feels steady in the wind I've used it in. I still put a coat on when it's cold, obviously, but now I can actually walk home in the rain.
Albert Roach
Mostly i wanted this for how small it folds up.
Mostly i wanted this for how small it folds up. I've taken it out about a dozen times now and it's kept the rain off each time (that's the main thing!). Nothing has gone wrong with it, although looking at it i wouldn't be keen to try a really strong gust. I think people choose something like this to carry easily, rather than for serious weather durability. The button opening has worked every time too, which is pretty good in a little umbrella. So for something portable that does its job in normal rain i'm happy with it. I wouldn't push it in heavy wind, but for it's compactness, an easy 5 stars!

Unfortunately it met the usual end for a small umbrella....
The last umbrella I had like this was one of those purchases I stopped thinking about because it just worked. A quick press and I was covered, and it felt solid enough for the wind between city buildings. Unfortunately it met the usual end for a small umbrella....I put it down somewhere and never saw it again. After making do with a few cheap stand-ins, I finally thought.....why am I not just replacing the one I liked ?So here I am with this one. It has that same reassuring feel, and the canopy looks neatly supported when it's open. The button needs a slightly more deliberate push than I remember, but it opens promptly once pressed. Another press gathers the canopy, then I push the telescoping section down to pack it away. Nothing complicated, just worth knowing if you expect the entire thing to retract on its own. Happy with it so far....now to remember where I leave it.

Plenty of room for me underneath.
This comes along on my daily stroll with the baby and has been really useful. A little more weight than an ordinary umbrella, but the button opening and canopy closing make up for it. Plenty of room for me underneath. The shaft still needs to be pushed in after closing, which took a moment to get used to, but it's straightforward now.

I wouldn't expect any umbrella to survive absolutely everything.
Five years of living in NYC has made me particular about umbrellas. Rain here often comes with a good helping of wind, and the little flimsy ones just aren't worth the aggravation to me. I decided to spend a bit more on something that felt substantial, and I'm glad I did. This doesn't disappear down to the tiny size of some compact umbrellas, so you do notice it in your bag. For me that's a fair trade for the cover and the solid feel when I'm walking in the rain.I'm not especially gentle with things like this either. It gets tossed about and has been dropped more than I'd like to admit, but it still does its job. I wouldn't expect any umbrella to survive absolutely everything. So far though, I feel I made a good choice, especially compared with the lightweight little ones I used to carry.
Cheyenne Reid
This has been a great step up, without feeling heavy to hold.
I used to think spending more than $10 on an umbrella was silly. After the cheap one gave out, I spent some time looking for something that could cope better with windy rain. This has been a great step up, without feeling heavy to hold. I'm only 5'3" and can manage it comfortably. Definitely glad I spent the extra!

Winter walks feel a bit brighter with this cream white umbrella.
Winter walks feel a bit brighter with this cream white umbrella. It's so pretty! The light colour is enough for me without anything fussy. Its not huge but has felt quite solid when a breeze comes along. The best thing is spotting it straight away when I leave it with the wet umbrellas somewhere, instead of checking every black one.I can see my family members wanting one of these as well, although I'd probably choose a different colour for them rather than all the same.

My teenage daughter LOVES green and received this for Easter !
My teenage daughter LOVES green and received this for Easter ! She absolutely LOVES it ! Said it looks even nicer opened up.I was writing feedback on something else as well and nearly put the umbrella comments there so apologies if I have got myself muddled...Many thanks !
Ariana Hanson
Does that description make sense?
I like being able to leave a shade umbrella in my purse rather than having something long to carry. The closing part seemed odd at first; I press the button and the canopy draws in, but the stem is still extended. Then I have to press that section down myself before it goes away. Does that description make sense? Anyway, it isn't a fault, just a routine I wasn't expecting.I like the shade it gives, though it takes a fair bit of space in my purse. I was mainly thinking of sunshine when I chose it, so being able to use the same umbrella in ordinary rain is useful too. Saves carrying a separate one.
Mackenzie Forbes
Glad to have another umbrella like this.
Glad to have another umbrella like this. My daughter had been pretty rough with the old one (not the umbrella's fault, I think), so I decided it was time to replace it. This has the same cheerful look I liked before. People often say how nice it is, and carrying it makes wet days a little less miserable.
Gregory Berry
It has had plenty of outings and I'm happy with how it's doing.
Easy to open, nice looking, and still in one piece with my son using it! That's saying something.UPDATE: A couple of months on and it is holding up well. Spring in Portland means lots of rain, and my five year old isn't exactly gentle with an umbrella. It has had plenty of outings and I'm happy with how it's doing.
Adrian Jensen
Open it up and the coverage is very good.
Feels like a properly made umbrella... but it's a bit more to carry than I pictured. At about 40cm folded it won't sit across the bottom of my laptop backpack the way I wanted... and I notice the weight. Open it up and the coverage is very good. Not oversized, just useful. I like it overall, only wish the packed length was a little shorter.
Justin Dominguez
Works as it should.
Works as it should. That's enough for me. I wanted this type to replace the umbrella I'd kept for 30 years before it finally wore out. My van has a little umbrella tray beside the driver's door, which I think is a sensible idea, and this one goes in there just as neatly as my faithful old umbrella did.
Darrell Duran
So far a very satisfactory umbrella and one I am happy to keep using.
I wanted something for the wet weather we get in New Hampshire... Have carried this out a few times now, including one quite breezy rainy day... It gave me good cover without feeling like I was carrying an enormous umbrella... The frame feels strong, and it has been fine in the wind I've actually used it in... The overall look is smart enough for work, but not so formal that I wouldn't take it along to a game... The loop handle feels comfortable in my hand as well... So far a very satisfactory umbrella and one I am happy to keep using.
Bailey Randolph
A very nice looking umbrella.
Well, i haven't had a chance to use it in rain yet, but trying it indoors was surprisingly pleasant. The opening is smooth and everything feels fairly substantial. The black canopy with the loop handle has a smart, unfussy look about it. Nothing overdone. Obviously the real test is outside, but just handling it has given me a good first impression. A very nice looking umbrella.
Brandi Barrera
It does feel like a damn good buy though.
More coverage than I've had from my previous compact umbrellas, and it hasn't turned inside out on the windy days so far. I've stayed mostly dry and don't dread the rain quite as much now. Four stars for the moment because I've had it less than two months, so I can't really judge how long it'll last. It does feel like a damn good buy though. If you want decent coverage without carrying a full length umbrella, I think it's well worth considering.
Danielle Cobb
For a folding umbrella this opens surprisingly wide.
For a folding umbrella this opens surprisingly wide. I don't quite know who decides what counts as "compact". It looks small folded up and then suddenly there's a whole roof over your head.Anywho, I like it. There are lots of flexible ribs underneath, thirty apparently, which makes the inside look rather busy when you look up. It feels nicely supported without being a huge stick to cart around. The closed oval handle is different from the usual hook, but easy enough to hold. My only grumble is that folded doesn't mean tiny. It still wants a decent bit of bag space, although it goes in the trunk without any fuss. Ready for the rain!!
Victoria Mitchell
Useful umbrella so far, and looks smart.
Useful umbrella so far, and looks smart. Folded length is a little more than I'd like. The build feels fairly middle of the road rather than fancy, which is okay for the price. I'm not completely sold on the feel of the oval handle in my hand. Keeps me dry though, and that's the main thing.
Kayla Moses
Arrived today and everything looks fine.
Arrived today and everything looks fine. It seems quite sturdy, which is reassuring after being disappointed with the last umbrella we chose--my daughter was not pleased about that one. The blue is *lovely*, and I like the unusual loop handle. There is a button for opening it, so I do that part rather than leaving it to little hands. Is also a nice size for her to stand beside me under it. Hopefully it will wear well! I'm pleased with how it looks and my daughter (4 yrs) is delighted with it.
Jo Ramos
Not awful, just not the shade I had in mind.
I like almost everything about this umbrella except that the beige is a funny shade to my eye. In the photo I thought it looked a little warmer, but in person I can't quite decide how to describe it. Not awful, just not the shade I had in mind. That's really my reason for stopping at four stars instead of five. Underneath, the ribs look substantial and nicely arranged, and the canopy is a useful size without feeling enormous. I *really* like how quickly it opens when I press the button. Now for some actual rain! I'm in western Oregon, a place everybody seems to think is permanently wet, and yet I keep waiting for a proper opportunity to take it out. It's been sitting here for about six months looking ready. Most of its demonstrations have involved opening it for somebody indoors, or tipping a cup of water over it to watch the water run off. At this point I feel like the weather is having a joke at my expense!

The coverage is BIG considering how it folds down!
The coverage is BIG considering how it folds down! I wanted something for shade as well as rain, since I have to watch how much sun my skin gets now.The smaller umbrella I was using did help, but I wanted a little more space. My young son was asking for an umbrella too, so he has that one and this stays with me. The pink looks nice and the price felt reasonable.pros:1) Plenty of room for me without having to keep my arms tucked right in 2) Opens with a button, and another press gathers the canopy 3) Folds small enough to take along instead of carrying a long umbrella 4) The loop handle gives me a good grip cons:1) Still fairly broad when open, so I have to mind people in narrow spaces 2) No curved hook for hanging over my arm. It has a closed loop instead, which is different. The telescoping pole still needs pushing back in once the canopy closes, which is fine with me. For the useful cover and the price I'm very happy to keep using it.
Carlos Norman
A solid umbrella and it keeps me dry.
A solid umbrella and it keeps me dry. The automatic closing isn't quite what I pictured, though. One press opens it fully, another gathers the canopy, but the telescoping part still needs pushing down until it clicks. That's the normal way it works, not a fault. Still useful, I just expected less to do myself.
Stacie Frederick

she had wanted a green umbrella!
got this for my gf! she had wanted a green umbrella!this IS a nice gift or just one to keep yourself! feels really sturdy and watching the water roll off when we're out is pretty cool!Only thing is it is a compact one so its better for ONE person! you can squeeze two under but you have to stay right together and that's not always comfortable. Still she loves it and I like that it foldsaway without taking over the place! would happily recommend it!
Tara Shaffer
Works nicely and I think it's a lovely looking umbrella.
Works nicely and I think it's a lovely looking umbrella. The button takes a firm press, though I expect I'll get used to it. I don't find the weight excessive compared with other umbrellas I've carried. Once folded it's a convenient size to take along, which is really all I need from it.
Terrence Meyer
Finding the right umbrella took me a while.
Finding the right umbrella took me a while. It had to fold away for the car, but still give useful coverage when I'm out with my son in his wheelchair. This one is a good balance, I can shelter him and stay close alongside rather than carry a huge umbrella everywhere. The black is smart too, and easy to live with. Glad I kept looking, I'd recommend it.

What a solid umbrella!!
What a solid umbrella!! It looks smart, not flimsy or throwaway at all. It opens quickly and gathering the canopy back in is easy too. My daughter and I got caught in a really heavy shower with the rain blowing about. I had a meeting to get to and the car was parked well over the other side of the lot, so I was expecting a soggy hair situation. We tucked close underneath and made our way across. Somehow we both got there with our hair still dry!! It gave us enough cover without being one of those enormous long umbrellas. Couldn't be happier with it!!

Walking around New York means an umbrella gets plenty of use.
Walking around New York means an umbrella gets plenty of use. I wanted one that I could get open promptly, close without a wrestling match, and fit into my bag afterwards. I also wanted it to feel steady rather than turn inside out at the first breeze. This has worked well for that. The canopy gives a useful amount of cover, though I still have to be aware of other people when the sidewalk gets crowded. It has felt dependable in the wet, breezy weather I've used it in. The only thing to understand is what the closing button actually does: it gathers the canopy, but leaves the telescoping pole extended. You compress that by hand afterwards. I would prefer not to need the extra movement when I'm carrying things, but it is a normal part of putting it away, not a fault. Once I got into that habit, the quick opening and canopy closing were exactly the convenience I wanted.
Kendra Benitez
Oh, I like this one.
Oh, I like this one. I'd read about umbrellas that fold the other way and wondered if that would be awkward. This feels quite manageable to carry. It folds in the familiar way, which I prefer. Button handles the canopy and I push the stem in to put it away. I use an umbrella often, so something straightforward is a good purchase for me.
Brian Shepard
two years of regular use says a lot to me.
this umbrella has travelled with me through europe, canada and new england, and has seen plenty of rain and wind. two years of regular use says a lot to me. fits in my handbag and doesn't take over the whole thing. i feel well covered when i'm underneath it. even the windy days in holland didn't flip it over!! still opening smoothly and doing what i need. wasn't expecting to be this attached to an umbrella, but it's one i keep reaching for.
Devin Cunningham
Excellent purchase.
Might be silly to get excited over an umbrella, but I REALLY LIKE IT! Nice presentation and even nicer once opened--I was impressed enough to buy a second one to leave in the car. It has handled several heavy showers and kept me dry without any fuss. Excellent purchase.

This has been great for the walk downtown to my office!
This has been great for the walk downtown to my office! There is room over my shoulders and the bag I carry, which is really what I needed. I appreciate having a sleeve with it too. Once everything is dry, I can tuck it away rather than have a loose folded umbrella catching on the other things in my bag. It is much easier to carry about folded than a full length umbrella. For the rainy part of my commute, though, it opens out to a very useful size.
Kevin Singh
For the money, there's a lot here to appreciate.
The handle takes a little getting used to, and it isn't something I'd want to wrestle with in really gusty weather. Those were my first reactions, since this came to me as a Mother's Day gift and I had no idea what it cost. I looked at the price later and had to revise my expectations a bit (am I supposed to question the kid's generosity, or congratulate the sensible spending?). For the money, there's a lot here to appreciate. It opens quickly, the pink fabric looks cheerful without being too much, and my walks to the store are definitely nicer with it along. The oval loop isn't my favourite shape, but I've grown more used to holding it. It's also light--a compliment, not a complaint. Some little preferences aside, four stars feels fair.
Kristin Mercado
Good coverage AND it still packs down neatly.
What a brilliant umbrella! It kept me dry through a blustery spell of rain, and I wasn't fighting to keep it under control. Good coverage AND it still packs down neatly. The loop handle is comfortable in my hand. A quick press opens it without any fuss. Those flexible ribs give it a reassuring feel when the breeze picks up. I would certainly recommend this one to anyone wanting a sturdy everyday umbrella.
Joanne Massey
Arrived looking as expected.
Arrived looking as expected. The frame feels strong and the finish is neat. The canopy opens and folds smoothly with the button. A sleeve is included for storing it. The oval loop handle sits comfortably in my hand. I'm satisfied with it and would recommend it.

Love this umbrella i'm going to get one for me and my other…
Love this umbrella i'm going to get one for me and my other daughter too that clip makes so much sense after all the umbrellas people forgot when i was waitressing this one can stay attached instead of getting left behind and the button does both canopy movements such a good buy
