We expected a chilly, wet day for our mid May wedding on the Washington coast, so I bought umbrellas for the wedding party. Instead it was blue skies and around 81 degrees! The gray umbrellas ended up being used for shade, which worked out beautifully. They looked smart, felt nicely made and everyone was happy to carry one. I was very pleased with how it all turned out. The ladies took theirs home as presents afterwards.

Really pleased with this umbrella.
Really pleased with this umbrella. It doesn't take much room packed away, yet there's enough cover that two of us can squeeze under it. The push button makes opening and bringing the canopy in easy, then I compress the stem by hand. Nothing has pinched my fingers, which is a relief. I like the green and it slips into my backpack's side pocket easily. So far it's coped well with windy showers and some heavy rain. You still need a firm grip when a gust catches it, of course. It can tug at your hand, even though the frame itself has felt steady.
Ethan Diaz
Mostly I just love the look of it.
Took this umbrella to Europe because I expected more rain than back home in Los Angeles. I ended up getting compliments all through the trip! One storm in France did flip it inside out, but apart from that it's felt sturdy. Mostly I just love the look of it. Such a cheerful thing to have with you when everything outside is grey and wet, and it really stands out!

Didn't realize how much room this would have when open.
Didn't realize how much room this would have when open. I ought to have looked at the size listed a little better. It's quite a big canopy. Still, it's adorable, and with all the rainstorms around here that suits me. Enough cover for my outfit and my long hair. Love how it looks, including when I'm standing underneath it!
Mike Barron
It feels solid and he likes using the button.
My 5 year old son is forever asking to carry our umbrella, so I bought him this one. Of course, he's still not tall enough to keep it above me. It feels solid and he likes using the button. The loop gives him something definite to hold, although I stay beside him while he's carrying it.
Wanda Ramirez
Very nice to look at though.
I thought having a sleeve meant I could put this in my purse, but I don't have a purse big enough. It's longer folded than I was expecting so it has to be carried in my hand. Very nice to look at though. Ended up giving it as a Christmas present to my friend, an artist. She likes simple things with a nice shape and was sooooo excited. Pretty umbrella, just not the handy little size I wanted!

This gets the little umbrella annoyances right.
This gets the little umbrella annoyances right. The button for the canopy, the folded shape, the way it feels in my hand, all seem properly thought out. Success. And it doesn't become a nuisance once I stop using it. Didn't think I'd get excited about an umbrella, but here we are.
Nicole Arellano
Best one I've owned, honestly.
Has looked after me well, been meaning to review it for ages and life is good.I cross a big car park to get to work, with buildings that funnel the wind straight at me. On wet days this brelly feels solid and keeps me covered instead of leaving me wrestling with it. Best one I've owned, honestly. I still go into work smiling when it's miserable out, which says quite a lot for something that's only an umbrella!
Larry Reeves
He is very pleased with his umbrella.
My 3 year old son wants to bring this along wherever we're going, rain or no rain. The plain style is nice because it isn't something he'll quickly grow out of liking. It's quite roomy over him, so I can see him still using it at five. For the price I think it's a good buy. The fabric feels substantial and the frame feels much sturdier than some I've looked at in shops. He is very pleased with his umbrella.
Krystal Williams
The push button opening is quick and hasn't needed any fiddling.
Good cover in the rain for me, with room to share if we're close together. Solid shaft, looks smart haven't had it in strong winds yet, but light breezes have been fine. The push button opening is quick and hasn't needed any fiddling. Handle feels secure to hold, not like something I have to be careful with all the time.
Larry Martin
The button opening is handy there too.
This was a purchase for ME, not something to put away as a present, and I am so glad I got it! I had wanted a pink umbrella for ages but hadn't found one that seemed worth spending the money on. Some looked pretty and then felt like nothing when you picked them up. This one is a really good deal for what you get.It has a nice solid feel and the oval loop handle fits my hand comfortably. It also isn't too heavy to hold up, which you appreciate when you are standing beside the car trying to find your keys and keep everything else from getting soaked! I seem to always have something else in my hands so an umbrella that doesn't make that whole business harder is a big thing for me. The button opening is handy there too. Another consideration is being able to watch where I'm walking. I can hold this comfortably with the edge out of my line of sight, rather than ducking down underneath it and only seeing my feet. With a seven year old to keep track of, and my oldest about to make me a grandmother, yes I think about these things! Enough going on without wrestling an umbrella as well. I like that it packs down afterwards instead of being another long thing to carry around. Now that I've used mine I would be happy to give one as a present. Even a teacher at Christmas, female or male, could use a useful umbrella. There are always people I struggle to shop for and this would make a nice choice. For the money I spent I really couldn't ask for much more. Definitely one I would buy again :^)

The opening action is smooth.
Looks just as smart and feels as well made as an umbrella I paid about twice as much for. The opening action is smooth. The loop handle has a practical rather than luxury feel, but that's perfectly fine at this price (my dearer one isn't any better finished). This is still a folding umbrella though, not something to put your weight on!
Elijah Morgan
Otherwise, a very nice umbrella and one I'm happy to keep using.
The gray is just right and I like the size when it's open. My one reservation is packing it down after the canopy closes. Shortening the pole needs a firmer push than I'd prefer, though it's manageable. Otherwise, a very nice umbrella and one I'm happy to keep using.
Marissa Delgado
What a GREAT little find!
I hesitated a bit over the cost but my son had been wanting an umbrella of his own so I decided to give this one a go. What a GREAT little find! The oval loop handle is easy to hold and the whole thing feels solid, not like a toy. He's delighted and so am I. Worth the money to me! :-)
Priscilla Shannon
A fun little change from an ordinary umbrella.
An umbrella isn't usually something that gets people chatting, but this one has. The loop handle catches their eye and I've had people ask to look at it. I don't mind stopping for a conversation, although it's less appealing when the rain is really coming down. A fun little change from an ordinary umbrella.
Gail Bridges
It feels solid, looks good in black, and best of all.....
It feels solid, looks good in black, and best of all.....it opens to a DECENT size. My shoulders fit underneath without me having to tuck myself into a ball. No idea why an umbrella needs to be thought of as men's or women's anyway. I'd give this to either. Plain enough for a man who doesn't want anything fancy, but with enough coverage to make him feel like he's got the weather under control.
Carol Yates
A pleasant surprise!
A pleasant surprise! I only wanted an umbrella to leave in the car, and the gray even goes with the seats. It seems a good deal sturdier than the ones I've had before. It won't be out every day, but for an occasional dash through rain I think it'll do very nicely.
Keith Crawford
The beige is a really nice shade, too.
Buying an umbrella from a photo always makes me hesitate; you don't know how it'll feel or whether the mechanism will be stiff... No worries with this one! It opens smoothly and feels solid. The beige is a really nice shade, too. That oval loop handle is different, but comfortable to hold. Glad I took the chance.
Manuel Randolph
It's smart looking as well as sturdy, which I like, but that…
It's smart looking as well as sturdy, which I like, but that button is the real winner for me.I often have packages in my hands and don't want a struggle by the car door. One press gathers the canopy so I can get inside, then I push the stem down to put it away. It's equally handy at a shop entrance, no standing there wrestling with a wet umbrella while I'm loaded up.
Kyle Baird
I'd rather pay a little extra for something I enjoy using!
The amount of cover is very good for an umbrella that folds up this neatly. I keep this one in the car for those sudden Houston downpours, with a larger umbrella staying at home. The fabric feels decent and the frame looks well put together, so I'm comfortable relying on it. It costs more than the basic umbrellas I've picked up in shops, which is my only real hesitation. Still, those always felt like a compromise somewhere, either in the cloth or the construction. I'd rather pay a little extra for something I enjoy using!
Kelly Gregory
I am pleased with how solid it seems.
Once one of my grandsons had an umbrella I could see the others would be wanting their own. This one was for the youngest and he was delighted opening the parcel. Nothing fancy, just a nice umbrella that he was proud to have for himself. I am pleased with how solid it seems.
Alexandria Malone
It gives me my own little "dry patch" in the rain, which I appreciate.
Plenty of cover when open and still portable once folded. It gives me my own little "dry patch" in the rain, which I appreciate. Friends comment on how much umbrella comes out of that folded bundle.I've had mine two years now and the button has kept opening and closing the canopy without trouble.
Mackenzie Beasley
Hasn't given me a reason to replace it.
After years of carrying this umbrella I still wonder why so many people put up with flimsy ones. Working downtown, I see people wrestling with theirs in the wind and abandoned umbrellas sticking out of the rubbish bins. Mine keeps doing its job and I just carry on. Hasn't given me a reason to replace it.

An umbrella to call her own has made my daughter very happy.
An umbrella to call her own has made my daughter very happy. The quality is much like a decent everyday one you'd find in a shop. She isn't bothered about fancy features, she just enjoys having something she thinks of as hers. She's nearly 3, so I do the opening and folding for her. Very cute seeing how proud she is standing underneath it.
Richard Richmond
I got one for myself and another for my brother.
I've used this through several wet, windy days in Chicago now and it has behaved well, with no turning inside out. The opening action is smooth and the canopy closes promptly when I press the button. For carrying, the folded shape is a lot more convenient than having a long umbrella. Now, it's a decent size once open, though still a compact. I'm about 6'1" and usually have a backpack, so I appreciate having enough cover for my shoulders and the top of the bag. If all you want is the tiniest thing to tuck away, it might be more than you need. I got one for myself and another for my brother. We're both pleased with them, and I'd choose the same again if mine got lost.
Nina Pennington
Good purchase, I mainly hold it for shade when I'm out golfing.
Good purchase, I mainly hold it for shade when I'm out golfing. Gives me a welcome break from the sun and isn't a chore to carry between shots. I won't pretend I know what windproof is supposed to mean. A gust once got under it and nearly took it away from me, but I kept hold and everything was fine afterwards. We had a good laugh about my attempt at flying.
Sherry Villa
I am happy with this umbrella.
An umbrella is what I ordered and one that does the job is what I received. Five stars ought to make that fairly clear. Some of us are quiet customers, not because we have nothing good to say but because there is other things needing done. I took time to leave my rating ...that should be sufficient...if something disappoints me you will hear about it. Asking for more and more words does not improve my opinion. I am happy with this umbrella. Please let that count without needing a whole composition
Harry Gonzalez
The design really appeals to me!
The design really appeals to me! Looks smart and a little different. There is room to keep my bag under it too in ordinary rain. My only niggle is getting the canopy tidy afterwards; I need a moment to smooth out the folds rather than just bundling it up. Still pleased with how it looks and works.
Jerry Decker
It arrived when expected and looks nice.
It arrived when expected and looks nice. Yes I opened it indoors straight away to have a look, couldn't resist. The frame seems well put together. Four stars for now only because we had sunshine throughout our vacation, so I still haven't had a proper rainy day to try it out.
Erin Mcmillan
A good umbrella for the size.
Although I bought mine elsewhere, I thought it was worth leaving a review. My beige compact umbrella has been very useful. It pops up easily and has coped well with the breezy rain I've used it in. The thing to bear in mind is that it is still a one-person umbrella. I've been comfortable under it on ordinary wet walks around town, but it isn't a huge shelter that will keep every part of you dry if the rain is blowing sideways for ages. For everyday use, though, it provides a sensible amount of cover without being a nuisance to carry. A good umbrella for the size.
Tonya Rollins
Excellent umbrella.
Excellent umbrella. Would buy it again. Gives plenty of cover. The handle button opens it and a second press collapses the canopy. You still have to compress the shaft yourself. Cream white is a nice neutral shade. Needs a fair push to pack down, so worth considering if you have arthritis or not much strength in your hands.
Colin Calhoun
Comfortable closed oval handle.
For a straightforward umbrella rather than a label to show off, I would choose this. Button operated canopy. Manageable weight. Firm centre shaft. Flexible ribs. Comfortable closed oval handle. Packs down neatly. Black underside. Comes with a closely fitting sleeve.
Roy Hardy
Even nicer looking than I thought it would be.
Even nicer looking than I thought it would be. My three year old loves having an umbrella to carry and is fascinated by the button. I help with opening and putting it away, but she still gets that 'I'm doing it myself' feeling. Her teachers have admired it too. A lovely way to make a rainy school morning more enjoyable.
Herbert Crosby
Couldn't be happier with this umbrella.
I've gone through so many cheap umbrellas that barely seemed worth carrying, and paying more hasn't always given me something better. This one has been with me for 3 YEARS of day-to-day use now and has earned its place by being dependable. The button still opens it readily and folds the canopy neatly afterwards; I push the shaft back down myself and it's ready to put away. It feels well put together rather than delicate, and I've had no trouble using it on wet, blustery days. That's what I wanted, not something I have to keep replacing. I'm back for a second one because the first has given me every reason to trust it. Couldn't be happier with this umbrella.

A couple weeks in and I like this umbrella a lot.
A couple weeks in and I like this umbrella a lot.It feels sturdy in the hand and all the folding goes very neatly. I do wish there was a little more room underneath, as I end up hunching a bit when the rain is blowing towards me, but overall it has been a good one to carry.
Michael Johnston
But it looks lovely and there's good coverage once open.
The one downside - packing it away DOES take some muscle. Pressing the button gathers the canopy, then I have to push the telescoping shaft down myself. Needs a fairly firm push. But it looks lovely and there's good coverage once open. Fits in my purse too - a useful size overall.
Paige Brooks
Overall I'm happy with it so far.
Have had this a little less than a year. I went with a folding umbrella this time, and wasn't sure how substantial it would feel once opened. It is actually quite solid. The canopy gives decent cover, though I haven't taken it out in truly nasty wind and rain ... not planning to either. In a breeze it moves about some, but I haven't felt like I was fighting to keep hold of it. Folded up it's a bit longer than I pictured, so it takes a certain spot in my bag. Overall I'm happy with it so far.
Virginia Good
There's some weight to this umbrella, but the construction makes…
There's some weight to this umbrella, but the construction makes that easier to accept. I'd rather carry a little more than have something flimsy that needs replacing straight away. Walking in rain and gusty weather last week, I stayed covered and it never felt out of control. The price was above what I'd planned on spending, so that and the weight are my only reservations. I've spent similar amounts on ones that didn't last, and this seems a better bet.

Chicago rain has claimed more of my umbrellas than I care to admit.
Chicago rain has claimed more of my umbrellas than I care to admit. I liked my first one of these, then managed to leave it on the train. Bought another and it's been a decent replacement. It has coped with wet, blustery walks, although I still wouldn't treat it as storm proof. There's a fair amount of cover without carrying a full length umbrella. My main gripe is the folded size; it takes more space in my bag than I'd like. Keeping it, because overall it's been useful.
Geoffrey Dominguez
She was SO pleased when her umbrella turned up!
She was SO pleased when her umbrella turned up! My daughter finds the loop handle comfortable and the button easy to use. Some of the novelty handles we'd looked at were so chunky... not much fun for little hands trying to grip them in the rain. This feels MUCH simpler for her to manage and she thinks it's great. :)
Todd Booker
Exactly the sort of everyday umbrella I was looking for.
I spent a while trying to find a folding umbrella I could leave in the car without it taking up much space. My son uses a wheelchair, so I also wanted enough canopy to hold over him when we're out together. This gives him useful cover and is easy for me to position from beside the chair. The blue looks cheerful too. Exactly the sort of everyday umbrella I was looking for.

Design and color: The beige is a pleasant, tidy shade.
Choosing an umbrella online can be a bit of a gamble, but this one has worked out nicely. I was a little doubtful before opening it... haha. Design and color: The beige is a pleasant, tidy shade. From the pictures I wondered if the style would be more feminine, but in person it looks quite neutral. I don't feel awkward carrying it as a man. Durability: The framework inside looks substantial rather than spindly. I haven't tried it in anything extreme, but a bit of wind doesn't make me nervous using it. The loop handle gives a firm grip and feels secure in my hand. Size: Folded umbrellas can look deceptively small, so I was pleased with how much cover there is when this one opens. A good usable size for an adult, without carrying a full length umbrella about. For the money the finishing looks very decent. I can see myself reaching for it on rainy days and for some shade when the sunshine is strong.

Its a good looking umbrella and it works the way its described.
Its a good looking umbrella and it works the way its described. But one thing I hadn't thought about before getting it was the handle...its a closed oval with a clip, not the open hook I was used to. So I had to find a comfortable way to hold it ( i kept wanting to hang it over my wrist). Clipping it onto my bag is actually pretty handy though. The opening took me by surprise the first time because its quick, you want to give it some space before you press that button. Closing was the part that took getting used to. You press to pull the fabric in but the pole is still out, then you push the pole together yourself. That's how its meant to work, not something wrong with it. Getting the folds neat enough for the cover also takes me a minute, I tend to rush it and then have to straighten everything out. All in all i enjoy using it, just not quite as effortless to put away as I had pictured

Handy little bit of design!
The solid build and compact shape are what I wanted, and this has both. The button surprised me though. I'm used to one that just opens an umbrella, not one that also brings the canopy down when pressed again. Handy little bit of design! Doesn't feel flimsy at all, which matters more to me than fancy extras.

My husband bought one of these and was delighted.
My husband bought one of these and was delighted. We've since purchased several for friends and colleagues, who have liked them just as much. The oval handle makes it a little different, and it feels nicely put together.Good for a man who wants something less ordinary without being too showy.

A well made umbrella for reasonable money.
A well made umbrella for reasonable money. Much nicer than the old one I was using. It packs into my backpack without a fuss & having a button to open AND gather the canopy is genuinely useful. Plain black looks smart, with a reassuringly solid feel to it. An excellent buy!

The cheap umbrella I had before gave up in the wind, so I went for something better, and this one has handled the breezy days well, the loop handle feels secure although the opening is a bit small for my hand, there is enough canopy for me and it feels solid when open, you do need to roll the fabric fairly neatly to get it into the sleeve, which is snug, but these are little things and overall I'm pleased with it.

On the gulf coast an umbrella gets used a lot.
On the gulf coast an umbrella gets used a lot. Took this out during our very wet week and it felt well balanced, even with files in my other hand. My shoes got soaked on the uphill walk through the prison entrance, but my clothes and papers stayed dry (I'm a lawyer). A press brings the canopy up smoothly and another collapses it; I just push the handle in afterwards. No wrestling with a wet umbrella once I was indoors. Packs away small and feels nicely made. Thinking of getting more for the family and people at work!!!

The button is handy, too.
Might be more useful for sheltering from my football team's season than from rain at this point, but that is another review. This is a sensible size for what I wanted. Folded, it goes into my book bag without taking over the whole thing. Opened, it gives me enough space to walk normally and keep my head and shoulders dry. Two people could squeeze in, but I wouldn't fancy trying to stay in step like that for long. We'd probably manage about as much coordination as the team does on the field. ...which isn't saying a lot right now.The button is handy, too. If I lost this one, I'd be quite willing to pay for another. For me that is a better recommendation than calling anything perfect. And yes, I still support them.

Taken this along to my sons football games during a pretty rainy season. It gives me enough cover without being an enormous umbrella to manage on the sideline. I can still watch comfortably and, with a little care about where I hold it, avoid blocking the people sitting behind me.
