Tracking kept saying i wasn't at home when i had been there waiting.

The umbrella itself is good and works fine but getting it delivered took over three weeks. Tracking kept saying i wasn't at home when i had been there waiting. Would be better if the courier let you know they are outside or asked where to leave it instead of marking another failed delivery.

Absolutely love taking this Umbrella.

It comes along on walks whenever rain looks possible. Feels sturdy without being awkward to carry. My partner uses a walking aid, so it's useful that I can hold it over us when we're close together. Helps keep rain off if a shower catches us, and gives a patch of Shade when the sun comes back out. Absolutely love taking this Umbrella.

Here in the Pacific Northwest a little rain is just part of the day.

Here in the Pacific Northwest a little rain is just part of the day. Then there are the days when it really comes down. That's what I wanted a proper umbrella for, rather than one that feels flimsy in my hand. This one has a reassuring frame and gets me covered quickly. I can bring the canopy down just as quickly when I reach the door. It feels like something I'll keep using, not something temporary. Heading out in the rain is a lot less of a nuisance with this along.

Fred English

I'm really pleased with this umbrella.

It got its first outing as soon as it arrived, thanks to the rain. I'm really pleased with this umbrella. Feels solid, gives plenty of cover and the handle sits comfortably in my hand. Folded up it's a sensible size, neither tiny nor bulky.I reckon it'll last longer than the little folding umbrellas I've had before. Looks nice too, and it's handy to carry. I'd happily recommend it.

In the wind it's been very good for me.

In the wind it's been very good for me. I've taken it out on windy days quite often and it's worked well on those days. Also useful as shade when the sun feels strong, which I appreciate. For me the size is just right and I can get it open by pressing the button once. Really pleased with using it.

Still waiting for rain, but trying it at home has gone well.

Still waiting for rain, but trying it at home has gone well. Folding it fully takes a firmer push than I expected. Being able to shut the canopy with a button should make that awkward "outside wet -> inside dry" bit quicker, then the pole presses down manually.

Lonnie Perez

This umbrella has been brilliant.

This umbrella has been brilliant. Through proper soaking rain and some windy weather it has felt sturdy and kept me covered. The thing i worry about most is leaving it on a train, since i tend to set it beside me and forget it's there. Otherwise a great buy for what it cost.

Cons: Only a small gripe.

Pros: Sturdy feel, good fabric, useful coverage without being a burden to carry. The opening action is smooth and the whole thing feels thoughtfully put together.Cons: Only a small gripe. The oval handle takes up more room than I expected when packing it away. To me, that is a minor tradeoff for having something comfortable to hold when I actually need the umbrella.

Melvin Hester

Feels solid but not heavy.

Take this along for walks when the rain looks possible, still keeping an eye out for wild beasts of course. Feels solid but not heavy. My partner uses a walking aid, and we can shelter close together under it when a shower catches us. Not loads of spare room but useful all the same. Makes Great Shade as well if the sun comes out. Love this Umbrella.

Better as an umbrella than a toy for very little kids.

I let the girls carry these in the rain, but not mess around opening them for play. the button is quick and I help with pushing the shaft down afterwards, rather than letting them try it on their own. Better as an umbrella than a toy for very little kids. The blue looks really vivid from outside, and underneath is black instead of showing the color through. They are very pretty.

My old manually operated umbrella can stay in the car as a spare now.

I wanted an automatic umbrella after getting tired of opening my old manual one, and this seemed a sensible replacement without changing to something enormous. Being outside around five in the morning when it is cold and raining makes a quick opening button rather more useful than it sounds. The folded size had me wondering whether there would be enough cover, but I have not found it too small for everyday use. For a taller person I think it is worth looking at the open size rather than judging it packed away. I tip it towards the rain when it is coming sideways, and that makes more difference than holding it straight up. The canopy is about 105cm across when opened, which gives useful coverage, and then it folds into a manageable size for carrying. The ribs have some give to them, and in ordinary gusts I have felt comfortable using it rather than constantly worrying about it. A press gets it open promptly. Closing is a button press too, then I push the telescoping section back into place myself. That last part is manual, but straightforward once you know what to expect. The one change I would like is a small clear section so I could see ahead more easily with the canopy tilted low. Otherwise I have found it very practical for those early wet mornings. My old manually operated umbrella can stay in the car as a spare now.

Having a button to open and close the canopy is handy.

Good coverage for an umbrella that folds up this small, and the price was reasonable. Having a button to open and close the canopy is handy. Only a few weeks of use so far, but the build feels sound and it's doing well. I wouldn't spend ages deciding over an umbrella, this is an easy one to recommend.

Tanner Carey

Handy little umbrella for taking along on rainy days.

Quite compact, the fabric feels substantial and I found it straightforward to fold away. It is really for one person, I wouldn't expect much space left round you in a heavy downpour. A child would have plenty of cover underneath. Handy little umbrella for taking along on rainy days.

Dakota Nixon

Overall, a great replacement and one I'd happily recommend!

Glad I went with this one! I lost the umbrella I'd had for years, so this was its replacement. The old one folded small but never felt very solid, and I wanted a bit more room underneath without having to carry a long umbrella everywhere. This gets that balance right for me. It packs down to a manageable size but feels sturdy when open, with good coverage. The oval loop handle is comfortable to hold too.The only little niggle is getting the fabric arranged neatly after using it, which takes me a bit of fiddling before putting it away. Nothing that spoils it for me.Overall, a great replacement and one I'd happily recommend!

Cassie Pugh

It FEELS solidly put together.

I needed another umbrella, but the ones I saw in shops looked so dull--and flimsy! This black one has a smart look, and the loop handle gives it something different. It FEELS solidly put together. I've not tried it in much wind yet, but there's nothing about the frame that makes me nervous about everyday use.

Alison Thomas

Nothing wrong with how they work, just not quite what I had in mind.

I was expecting the two umbrellas I'd picked for the kids to be a bit smaller when folded. They're perfectly usable and the kids are happy with them, but they take up more space than I had pictured. Nothing wrong with how they work, just not quite what I had in mind.

Louis Gibbs

You would need to be inside a tube for that.

I saw a complaint about an umbrella not keeping trousers completely dry in hard rain. What sort of umbrella is going to stop rain coming sideways at your legs? You would need to be inside a tube for that. This one folds down neatly but opens into a perfectly sensible size for one person, which is what I wanted. I've used it over a couple of years and yes, the bottoms of my trousers have occasionally been damp. My suits have been fine. If I angle it towards the rain rather than hold it dead straight overhead, it does a good job of covering me. The button makes it convenient to get open as well. Folded up it can go in my work bag, so I don't have to carry a long umbrella around all day.

Kelsey Clark

Such a nice everyday thing to give her!

A thank you for my sister after she hosted my baby shower. Umbrellas have a bit of childhood nostalgia for us, and I can just imagine my daughter thinking her aunt looks wonderful carrying this when she's older. The blue is lovely and the oval handle has a substantial feel in the hand. Such a nice everyday thing to give her!

Marie Good

Now I'm just waiting for some actual rain.

Rain has been scarce here, but I've still had this open to have a good look at it! Nicely put together and prettier in person than I expected. The gray has a simple, neat look, and it folds away easily after trying it indoors. It feels like it should last me a while. Now I'm just waiting for some actual rain.

Claire Leach

We haven't had rain to try it in yet.

The black looks just as nice in person as it did in the picture. Quality seems good from looking it over, and my granddaughter is delighted. We haven't had rain to try it in yet. Still think it costs rather a lot for an umbrella. With Christmas approaching I bought it anyway, but the price did make me pause.

Sean Fry

Handy size, good cover, feels steady w/a bit of wind.

Half a dozen rainy outings so far. Handy size, good cover, feels steady w/a bit of wind. The sleeve is there when I need it, usually I let everything dry out first.5 month update: still going strong, button works smoothly and it has earned its space in my bag...

Lacey Eaton

I expect we'll use it for quite a few years.

The pink umbrella looks so sweet with my 2 year old grand daughter's trench coat. It took some looking to find one I liked for her. I hold it for her just now, and she loves being underneath it. Folded up it's convenient for me to carry too. I expect we'll use it for quite a few years.

Xavier Maldonado

Getting it open is easy too.

At last, an umbrella I don't have to fight with every time the weather turns. My previous ones seemed determined to turn themselves inside out. This feels much more substantial, and on the wet days I've used it the cover has done its job nicely. Getting it open is easy too. No complaints about the umbrella, just its owner's planning skills. I leave it in the car and need it at home, then do the exact opposite next time. Clearly I should have bought two. LOL

Dominic Eaton

This one has that same handy feel.

A short umbrella was my favorite for years and I always reached for it before the others. This one has that same handy feel. Rain rolls off well, and getting into the car doesn't mean bringing a shower in with me! A press folds the canopy, I shorten the shaft by hand, and I'm in. It's just the sort of umbrella I enjoy using rather than leaving at home. Wonderful to have found something I like this much again!!

Wesley Trujillo

Plenty of room underneath and easy to carry afterwards.

My in-laws chose this from my wishlist and I was so excited to try it! It feels properly sturdy and gives me decent cover, unlike the smaller umbrellas I've had that left my shoulders wet. The cream white is gorgeous!! A press of the button gets it open quickly, so I'm not fiddling about while the rain comes down. Plenty of room underneath and easy to carry afterwards. Couldn't be happier with their choice!

Alexandra Delgado

Does the job, just larger folded than I'd pictured.

Does the job, just larger folded than I'd pictured. The main reason for buying it was to leave it in my briefcase for days that look wet, rather than lugging a full size umbrella about. It manages that fine, although I've seen tinier ones since.Update: Have found room in the briefcase after all and it keeps me dry when needed.

Joan Dillon

Our son helped pick this out as a present for my wife.

Our son helped pick this out as a present for my wife. Given what it cost I wasn't expecting much beyond a basic umbrella, but the quality has surprised me. We've had plenty of wet days this year and she's used it a lot. She's even had compliments on it's looks, which made her happy. Money well spent.

Stacey Ochoa

Small distinction, big convenience.

Five years with mine and it's still the umbrella I reach for. My wife has another one, having lost her original rather than worn it out.You pay a bit more for a folding umbrella like this, but after using it I don't begrudge the money. Mine hasn't flipped over or given me trouble. The useful part isn't only opening it with a button, it's being able to gather the canopy with that same button while the other hand is occupied with a parcel. You do still compress the stem yourself to pack it right down. Small distinction, big convenience. I keep mine in my commuter bag so it's there when needed. Not while it's soaking wet, obviously, I leave it out to dry first.I can't see a reason to change to anything else while this is doing its job so well.

Brandon Harding

It's smart looking and feels solid.

I was looking for an umbrella with a decent sized canopy and came across this blue folding one. It opens to around 105cm, which is more useful than the folded size makes you expect. Closed up it's about 40cm, so not one of those long umbrellas to carry everywhere. It's smart looking and feels solid. I like it a lot and would certainly recommend it!

Lance Waters

It packs away nicely.

Only had it out once, I think, so this is mostly about the size and handling. It packs away nicely. I'd still keep a full-length umbrella around for days when carrying one isn't a bother, as that can be more comfortable to hold. This handle is fine for one hand, just different from the longer ones I'm used to.The button closing the canopy takes a little getting used to because it pulls everything in quickly and can scatter drops. Easy enough to avoid, just point it away from yourself and anyone standing beside you. I then press the telescoping section together to pack it away. Not a problem really, more something to remember before closing a wet umbrella.

Sharon Patrick

Having shade move along with you makes walking much nicer.

I don't want an argument with people who prefer a bigger umbrella, but I think some of the comments miss what a compact one is meant for. Being able to put it in a bag is part of the reason to buy it. expecting it to feel like a heavy full length umbrella is a different thing. I would rather hear whether it is comfortable to use than just that it isn't enormous. that's more useful to somebody deciding what to get.I had already read through the comments before buying, and mainly wanted something to carry for shade. After a few weeks in the Texas sun I'm glad I did. Having shade move along with you makes walking much nicer. The canopy covers me sufficiently, though I wouldn't call it a shared umbrella. I also like not having a long thing to carry when I step indoors. it packs away without making the whole outing about carrying an umbrella. For my sort of use this is a good balance, and I'm satisfied with it.

Lindsey Tran

This has been a good choice for the wet days.

My job has me outside regardless of the weather, so I wanted an umbrella that felt dependable rather than flimsy. This has been a good choice for the wet days. My old large umbrella caught the wind badly and was awkward to bring along. This one folds down much smaller, but still gives me enough cover while working. I started carrying it this fall and am very please with how it has handled the showers and the gusts I've met so far. The ribs have a little give to them. Thank you.

Juan Whitehead

The button works smoothly too.

The size when open and the overall feel both impressed me. There are a lot of ribs under there and it feels reassuringly supported, not flimsy. The button works smoothly too. I walk to work so I needed decent coverage, without something loud looking that I'd feel silly carrying. This blue is just right for me. It's been perfectly fine in a light breeze, though I haven't tried it in really strong wind and can't offer any verdict on that. More canopy does mean there's more for the wind to catch.

Aimee Horton

Nice umbrella - glad to have it.

Nice umbrella - glad to have it. It looks very good opened out. There is also a sleeve for carrying. Quality excellent, button spreads it open and folds the fabric again. Then press the pole shorter by hand. Strong looking knitting needles, feels steady to hold. Just need practice wrapping it neatly, mine never looks as smooth as it arrived. I recommend this one!

First time I've spent proper money on an umbrella rather than grabbing whatever was cheapest. Quite a difference from having one flap about while I try to get to work. I've been arriving with my top half dry, which is really the point, and it feels much more substantial in the hand.Four stars for now because I haven't owned many better umbrellas to compare it with. I'm happy with it so far, just want to see whether it earns its keep over the next few years.

Jasmine Robles

Looks thoughtfully put together -- I like it.

About 40cm long when folded, and light enough for me to carry in my messenger bag. Once opened, the stem is a comfortable length and the canopy covers me well in ordinary rain. Looks thoughtfully put together -- I like it.A useful point: the handle button pops it open, and another press gathers the canopy closed. That doesn't retract the whole stem. Hold it securely and compress the telescoping sections manually to reset it for the next use. Quite straightforward once you know which part the button actually does.

Gabriella George

This has been a very good find.

Came across this while hunting for an umbrella that could cope with the walk around my building. The streets and buildings seem to funnel every bit of wind straight at you, so flimsy umbrellas are no use here. This has been a very good find. It's stayed manageable in the gusts I've walked through and still feels solid afterwards. Definitely one I'm glad I tried!!!

Jeremiah Salazar

That is the only part I am still uncertain about.

The folded umbrella looked smaller to me than the photos suggested, and the weight was less than I had imagined. After opening it, however, I found the coverage was enough for an adult man. There hasn't been any rain since I received it, so I cannot give an opinion on how well the fabric will last. That is the only part I am still uncertain about. Holding the handle is easy and the button is straightforward to operate. Compared with the prices I have seen in shops here, I think the amount I paid was fairly reasonable.

Carla Bender

Anyway, I would recommend it.

Update: Still using this and it is holding up fine. Looking back, it has been quite a while since I bought it. No problems to report. Leaving my first comments here:----I don't often bother writing a review, and usually it would be because something annoyed me, but this deserved a few words. Shopping for an umbrella was getting ridiculous. I would read the bad reviews first and talk myself out of every option, even ones most people seemed to like. The expensive ones didn't sound enough better to make me comfortable spending that much. So I ended up ordering this blue one, not expecting a great deal, and have been pleasantly surprised. After about a month of rainy, windy weather it has done its job. You still have to point it sensibly into the weather, of course. I've been caught holding it badly a couple of times and it hasn't flipped over on me. I can't see much reason to pay a lot more when this gives decent cover and feels sturdy enough for normal use. Even if I eventually have to replace it, I won't feel like I wasted a big investment. That matters to me more than fancy claims. Anyway, I would recommend it. Looks smart as well. Carrying it over my shoulder would be handy sometimes, but that's about my only wish.

our favorite umbrella for taking our toddler out in the rain.

our favorite umbrella for taking our toddler out in the rain. plain and neat looking, just as we expected. there is more cover than with the little children's ones we have tried, so we can keep our toddler close underneath. it feels sturdy in the hand too and folds away when we're done. we would recommend it!

Alexa Mccall

I've spent enough on bargain umbrellas that ended up in the bin.

I've spent enough on bargain umbrellas that ended up in the bin. This feels like a much more sensible purchase. There comes a point when paying less over and over doesn't seem economical, especially once you count the time spent finding replacements and the irritation of being let down.

Shelly Owens

A simple looking umbrella with a solid feel is exactly what I like.

A simple looking umbrella with a solid feel is exactly what I like. Too many of my previous ones have felt flimsy. The loop handle is comfortable & the whole thing seems nicely put together for the money. If I lost it, I would happily get the same one again. It arrived in a much bigger box than seemed necessary, which felt wasteful, but that doesn't take away from the umbrella itself; definitely recommended!

Candace Higgins

Good everyday shade, just not complete shelter from the sun.

Sun intolerance means I pay rather more attention to shade than most people. The canopy is useful, though for everyday use I would personally prefer it a little wider. Also, the shade underneath doesn't mean you can forget about sunlight coming in from the sides. I still need my other sun precautions on very bright days. The frame seems quite sturdy, though I can't comment on how many months it will last yet.Other than wanting a larger shaded area, I'm pleased with it. It has coped with rain as well, so I don't have to carry separate umbrellas. Good everyday shade, just not complete shelter from the sun.

Joann Saunders

Now I can wait under my own bit of shade instead.

The green isn't quite the shade I expected from the picture, but I do like the umbrella. I needed shade at my downtown Minneapolis bus stop after the tree there was removed for a ramp. With fair skin, standing in that heat wasn't much fun. Now I can wait under my own bit of shade instead. Someone gave me a look and pointed out that there wasn't any rain. I pointed out that he was sweating while I was quite comfortable. People can find it odd if they want. I'll take being cooler. Enough said.

Deborah Garrison

its handy for shade on a summer walk as well.

I've kept this umbrella around for years and it is still the one I reach for. Tried it on breezy days too (was just hoping it would be okay) and it behaved fine. not the cheapest one I've bought, but I feel it was worth the extra. With my backpack on I can keep the rain off my shoulders and bag if I position it right. its handy for shade on a summer walk as well. very good buy!

It looks attractive, the quality is good, and the price seems fair.

Delivery was ahead of the estimate and the umbrella was as described. I would give the purchase full marks. It looks attractive, the quality is good, and the price seems fair. Pushing the shaft back down takes a little effort, though I expect I'll get used to that.

Yvonne Mckinney

I haven't tried it out in rain yet.

I haven't tried it out in rain yet. Thought beige might be a dull choice but IT LOOKS SO NICE, softer than I pictured :) I wanted an umbrella to take along with my golf bag and this will be easy to carry. looks good folded and there's a decent amount of room when opened. Button is simple to use too

Mandy Parker

Definitely happy with the choice!

A really sweet umbrella and the finish is better than I expected, especially compared with some of the children's umbrellas we've had. We sent this one as a gift for our nephew and almost straight away there was a photo of him with it open! He was sooooo pleased with it. I can't speak for long term use yet, but it looks nicely made and seems like something he'll actually want to take along when it rains. Definitely happy with the choice!

An umbrella seems a pretty unisex thing to me.

An umbrella seems a pretty unisex thing to me. I'm the father, and I like mine just as much as my daughter likes hers. I ordered three, two as Christmas gifts for her and one to keep. They fold up neatly and the opening button is handy. From the car I can poke it through the door gap and open it before stepping out into the rain. Closing with the button only brings in the canopy. To make it short again you press the handle and top towards each other by hand. No trouble with mine over several uses, and my daughter hasn't mentioned any trouble with hers. I'd certainly recommend them.
