I'm happy enough with it to buy it again.

Third time I've ordered this umbrella, which says a fair amount about how much I like it. My first got plenty of use for over a year, and another went missing, so I keep coming back to the same one. It feels substantial and gives me good coverage without having to carry a long umbrella around. The only thing worth knowing is that packing it away isn't entirely automatic. Pressing the button folds the canopy, but compressing the telescoping shaft afterwards takes a firm push by hand. That's just how it works, not something that's gone wrong. Once you're used to it, it's straightforward enough. For me the useful part is having an umbrella that opens readily and keeps me comfortably dry. I'm happy enough with it to buy it again.

For everyday college use it has been a good buy.

Between classes on campus I need an umbrella I can actually rely on, since rain here usually comes with some wind. This has been in my bag for months now and has handled that well. It's a useful middle size, not so small that my shoulders get soaked and not such a huge thing that I leave it at home. The frame hasn't seemed bothered by the gusty walks I've had with it. For everyday college use it has been a good buy. I'd recommend it to someone wanting an umbrella that just gets on with the job.

Carly Knapp

Good price, good size, good price, definitely recommend.

Got to school and somehow an umbrella was the one thing I hadn't packed. Looked around online and ended up with this one. The price was right and I have already used it a lot this semester. We had some miserable wind and rain around campus and it kept doing its job while a few nearby umbrellas were turning over. It is a sensible size to carry about, not a huge thing. Good price, good size, good price, definitely recommend.

Rain ran off well and I arrived much drier than I expected.

This folds down, but it's still a fairly substantial umbrella. I wouldn't count on squeezing it into a crowded glovebox, although carrying it is much easier than a full length one. I was very glad to have it during the downpour last week. There is enough canopy to cover me properly and the frame feels solid without making it a struggle to hold. The loop handle seemed odd at first, but it is comfortable once you get used to it.Rain ran off well and I arrived much drier than I expected. Only small gripe was the box, which was bigger than it needed to be and got rather battered. The umbrella itself was absolutely fine when I unpacked it!

Overall a lovely gift and I was pleased with it.

The umbrella looks just as I hoped it would from the picture, very smart and nicely finished. This was a Christmas gift, so I was glad it looked presentable. The thing keeping it from five stars is the effort needed to compress the shaft once the canopy is closed. It needs a firmer push than I expected. The button does collapse the canopy; the final push is by hand, and that part just feels rather firm to me. Delivery took a little patience, but it was here before Christmas, which was the important thing for me. Overall a lovely gift and I was pleased with it.

It feels solid, gives good coverage and looks smart.

After nearly a year of use, I'm still glad I chose this umbrella. It feels solid, gives good coverage and looks smart. My one gripe is the bulk when it's folded. You need to take a little care gathering the fabric neatly rather than just bunching it up. It's a small inconvenience, but noticeable when I'm trying to put it away in a hurry!

Natalie Gay

Really nice finish and feels solid...

For anyone wanting a decent umbrella without spending loads, this is worth a look!! I love mine. I'd been hunting for a gray one and kept finding prices I didn't want to pay. This seemed worth trying and I'm glad I did. It was packed carefully, nothing scrunched up or damaged. Out of the wrapping it looked just as good as the photos. Really nice finish and feels solid... I'd happily recommend it, especially for what it cost!

Claire Crosby

Packs down nicely and seems solid.

My wife was always borrowing mine, so there was an umbrella under the Christmas tree for her. Packs down nicely and seems solid. The handle clips onto a belt loop at summer outdoor festivals, handy when rain looks possible without carrying it in my hand all day.

Madeline Lynch

Really nice umbrella.

Really nice umbrella. I'd wanted a pretty one that was still properly useful, and this feels sturdy as well as looking good. Kept me dry in rain with a bit of a breeze too. People have stopped to say how nice it looks. Definitely worth a look for a nice everyday umbrella!

Good quality for the money!

After my previous umbrella gave up I wanted a replacement that felt properly made. This one is a lovely beige, with fabric that feels substantial and a frame that has some give. I am severely disabled and find the button VERY helpful for opening it and folding the canopy; pushing the shaft back down finishes the job. It has been out with me in rain and blustery weather and I felt well covered. Nothing catches when I operate it, which matters a lot to me.Good quality for the money! HAPPY TO RECOMMEND!

The boys are delighted with their umbrellas.

The boys are delighted with their umbrellas. One has started school, so having one each seemed like a sensible thing to do. The size works for them and they manage the opening button well. They're four and six, and very proud of being able to carry their umbrellas by themselves.

My grandson was delighted to have his own umbrella.

My grandson was delighted to have his own umbrella. It feels well made and gives him lots of cover without being one of those long umbrellas to carry. Of course to him it is more than something to keep rain off, it's his very own umbrella to show everyone. I know his friends will be hearing all about it.

Kristie Summers

Just as described and nicely put together.

Just as described and nicely put together. This was my daughter's birthday present, and she was delighted with it. I took it to her workplace to give it to her, which turned out to be good timing. A thunderstorm came through as she was heading home so she used it straight away. Now I'm thinking I need one too!

Wayne Owen

Happy with this umbrella and glad I tried it.

I got this to replace another umbrella I wasn't happy with and needed it for a performance the following day. It was just what I needed and the quality seems good to me. Would definantely consider another...nice when something does the job without any fuss. Happy with this umbrella and glad I tried it.

Hunter Blevins

A very good everyday umbrella.

A very good everyday umbrella. The gray is understated enough for work and the open size feels about right. The darker underside gives it a different look when you're holding it than when it's folded. It feels quite solid in use and has handled windy weather well, though I wouldn't put much weight against the shaft. It's an umbrella, not something to lean on. I do wish it took up a little less room once packed away.

Alejandro Boone

Taken it out for two rounds of golf so far.

Taken it out for two rounds of golf so far. Very happy. The sun has been hot and standing under it is noticeably more comfortable than standing without it. It's nice having shade that comes along with me instead of hunting for a tree. Glad I decided to get it!

Roberta Paul

Practical umbrellas that are lovely to use.

I already own two of these and bought this one for a dear friend. She was so touched that I had thought of her! Mine have been dependable in the rain and just as useful for a bit of shade when the sun gets too much. They have kept working nicely over the years. A press to open, another to close the canopy. I'd like another for myself before long, and will probably buy more as presents. Practical umbrellas that are lovely to use.

Alejandra Sampson

This one feels SOLID!!!

Normally I look first at the frame, too many umbrellas seem to forget that's the point, not just appearance. This one feels SOLID!!!The beige is quite appealing but it's the size /folding down that interests me most... enough cover when up, manageable when it's down. Not some enormous golf thing, which for my use is a plus....Button does the canopy, you finish pushing the stem in yourself. Fine by me.Only my view, for the usual city rain this is the kind of compromise that makes sense, compact/ actually useful, yes

My Grandson had been asking for his own umbrella.

My Grandson had been asking for his own umbrella. Here in California we had been praying for rain, and the boys were so excited when it finally came. I had bought them umbrellas just beforehand, this pink one included. They were almost as excited about having umbrellas as they were about the rain! This feels nicely made and my little 4 year old thinks carrying it is great fun. Such a simple thing to make him happy. Other Grandparents might like this idea too!!One very pleased Grandma

Eileen Burnett

This one has made that part much easier for me.

With arthritis in my fingers, even putting an umbrella up can be a nuisance. An opening button was the feature I was looking for, rather than anything fancy. This one has made that part much easier for me. It feels like good value, and I'm happy to have found something that suits what I need.

Hannah Craig

Happy with the price as well.

Better than I expected for taking away with me. It folds down neatly into its sleeve, yet there's a decent amount of cover when opened. The button makes it simple to open and bring the canopy in again. Happy with the price as well. It came promptly and was packed nicely.

Shelley Jacobson

This folding umbrella is just right for me.

This folding umbrella is just right for me. The opening button is quick & straightforward; pressing it again draws the fabric closed, but the telescoping pole still needs pushing down manually. It's a simple arrangement once you've tried it. The overall look is rather cheerful ... something nice to have with you when the weather is dull, instead of just another dull umbrella.

Tyrone Gonzalez

Quick to put up and straightforward to pack away.

On my travels in SE Asia an umbrella is a regular part of what I carry, since rain can arrive rather suddenly. This one goes in my bag and provides decent cover for everyday showers. Quick to put up and straightforward to pack away. For a full on monsoon I'd want more than a small umbrella, let's be realistic!!

Colin Horton

What a cute umbrella!

What a cute umbrella! Bought it for my three year old for Easter and he's delighted with it. No rain to try it in yet but he keeps looking out for clouds. The ribs feel quite substantial, which seems a good thing with a toddler handling it. He can manage the button with me there and thinks that's great. The only thing is he needs help pushing the pole down after the canopy closes. Not really a problem, I just do that part for him before we put it away.

Hannah Jimenez

It's a small thing, but it's fun.

Never thought I'd be looking forward to rain just to use an umbrella, but here we are. Three months in and I still enjoy pressing that button and watching it pop open. *insert dramatic entrance music* My girlfriend couldn't stop laughing at how pleased I was with myself. It's a small thing, but it's fun.The only niggle is putting it back in the sleeve. If I don't take a moment to wrap the fabric neatly I end up fussing with it instead of just slipping it in. Nothing serious, and I tend to leave the sleeve off until it's dry anyway. For something that keeps the rain off and makes me smile, I'm happy with what I bought.

Gilbert Colon

The button makes opening it very easy.

Hard to believe, but I've never owned an umbrella before this one.Not much call for one where I live in California. It opens to about 105cm and the frame has 30 flexible ribs. The button makes opening it very easy.Seems nicely put together and good value for what I paid.I'd buy one again without hesitation.I like mine and think other people will too.

Kara Ayala

Feels sturdy without being a full-length umbrella to lug around.

My umbrella has just arrived and I think it will be useful for travelling. Feels sturdy without being a full-length umbrella to lug around. The rather severe look isn't quite my taste, though. Why should a practical folding umbrella be thought of as something FOR MEN when everyone needs to stay dry?

Ashlee Huff

Adding my five stars because this has earned them.

Adding my five stars because this has earned them. I've carried it for months through the northeast's wet, blustery weather and haven't had to fuss with it. Last night there was another proper downpour, with enough wind to make the walk unpleasant, and the umbrella stayed manageable. I could keep a comfortable grip with one hand instead of constantly wrestling it back into position. I am not claiming it can take anything the weather throws at it, just that it has dealt with what I've used it in. Walking home later, there were abandoned umbrellas along the city streets. Mine came home with me ready to use again. That quiet reliability is exactly what I wanted.

Norman Smith

Honestly!

Honestly! This umbrella has been with me for 5 or 6 years, which never happens. Bought it locally and it's in my bag every day. It's even been around Europe with me. I'm getting another because this one's looking grubby after so long. Really well made! I'll be staying with Haven.

Dale Callahan

This one turned out to be a good pick.

I needed a replacement for a poorer quality umbrella, and had a performance the following day so didn't have much time to choose. This one turned out to be a good pick. I would definantely choose this one again...nice to get something that feels properly made. The umbrella itself did exactly what I needed it to.

Helen Diaz

Happy up to now.

Happy up to now. Looks cute, opens without much effort, and my son has not managed to destroy it!UPDATE: A couple of months later and it is still in good condition. We get lots and lots of spring rain here in Portland, so it has had plenty of use, and my five year old certainly hasn't been gentle with it.

Logan Mcintosh

For quality I am happy, it handles a breezy day well.

For quality I am happy, it handles a breezy day well. Heavy rain is where I wish the canopy was bigger as I do not stay completely covered. Still pleased with it overall . Compared with the folding umbrellas I normally use this is heavier, and takes up more room even when it is shut.

Savannah Oneal

Pleased with how it has worked out.

This has turned out just as I'd hoped. My bigger umbrella has lasted about ten years, and I wanted that same solid feeling in something the kids could use with me. When this arrived I was pleased with how nicely it was put together. It was meant for my daughter so we could have umbrellas together on rainy days, but my little boy of 3 decided he wanted it instead (never mind that I'd chosen it for his sister?). So it has ended up with him, with me helping him open it and pack it away. He's rather rough with things, but I feel good about the construction on this one. I can't know yet that it will last as long as mine, of course, but it gives me the same feeling of quality. Pleased with how it has worked out.

Living just outside Boston means an umbrella gets a lot of use here.

Living just outside Boston means an umbrella gets a lot of use here. I usually go through a few each year with the wet and windy days. This one has impressed me so far, the push button opening is handy and the ribs feel steady in a breeze. It opens wider than I expected from something that folds down, I could squeeze someone alongside if necessary, but most of the time it's only me using it. I dont find the extra room a problem. The price seems excellent for how well it's made, and I'm hoping it'll stay with me for quite a while.

Natalie Petty

The shaft feels solid and the loop handle seems well put together.

The open canopy is a useful size - enough room for me without feeling like I'm carrying a huge umbrella. It isn't one of those tiny folding ones that barely covers your shoulders. The shaft feels solid and the loop handle seems well put together. Pressing the button brings the canopy out promptly. There are quite a few ribs underneath...the fabric looks evenly supported rather than loose between them. Rain has stayed on the outside so far, with no drips coming through above my head. The overall look is fairly plain, which I prefer. I don't need an umbrella to be something people notice. Once open, it remains open until I use the button to bring the canopy down. I took off a star for the amount of space it still takes up folded. It is compact compared with a full-length umbrella, but I wouldn't call it small enough to disappear into any bag. The oval handle adds to that impression, since it isn't something that folds away. I can carry it without trouble and it hasn't stopped me using it, so it's more a matter of convenience. It fits in my bag, but occupies more room than I had pictured. I haven't been out with it in a really rough storm, so I can't say much about that side of things. For the rain I've had, it has done the job....but a slightly smaller folded package would make it easier to bring along without first checking where I'm going to put it.

It's remained steady on the windy days I've carried it.

A straightforward, smart looking umbrella that has done a good job in the rain. The oval handle gives it a slightly different look without being fussy. It's remained steady on the windy days I've carried it. Not quite as small as I expected folded up, but otherwise a good everyday umbrella.

Veronica Mays

I do wish more people still used umbrellas for shade.

Beautiful as a parasol, and I often get compliments when I carry it. It adds something a little different to what I'm wearing. I do wish more people still used umbrellas for shade. I'm recovering from melanoma and need to be careful about sunlight, so portable shade is very welcome. I use it alongside my usual sun precautions and find it genuinely helpful.

Shelby Pham

Love being able to work it with a button.

Love being able to work it with a button. A useful amount of cover without a huge thing to carry, and the pink is really pretty. Packing it away hasn't been a struggle either. I let the canopy shut, rest the tip on the ground and press down to shorten the pole. Simple enough for me.

Danny English

Having them open at a press was handy.

We had around a dozen for the children's dance at our elementary school show. The umbrellas were a good size for them to work with and stood up well to all the practice. Having them open at a press was handy. Getting everyone to fold theirs afterward was a bit fiddly, but I was very satisfied with how they worked overall.

This one does the JOB..

Moving to Tampa made me realise I needed an umbrella for more than just the odd shower..This one has been such a good buy, the handle sits comfertably in my hand and it isnt a pain to carry..I get decent cover from the rain and some welcome shade from that fierce sunshine..the automatic opening is handy too, no messing around trying to get it up..This one does the JOB..

Bianca Mccarty

Once they're on the bus I only have one umbrella to deal with.

My two boys are in elementary school and can't take umbrellas on the bus. I wanted one for waiting with them, rather than ending up carrying three home. This has worked nicely. They tuck in close on either side of me while we're waiting; it isn't an enormous shelter, but it is much less fuss than our old arrangement. Once they're on the bus I only have one umbrella to deal with. A sensible buy for the school run. I'm considering another as a thank you for our crossing guard.

Kristi Dixon

Even the oval handle has a nice solid feel.

What a handsome umbrella! The finish looks lovely and everything feels well put together. A press of the button gets it open smoothly, with no struggling about. Even the oval handle has a nice solid feel. I'd happily give this as a gift to someone who appreciates a useful everyday thing that still has a bit of style.

Yvette Cervantes

Exactly the sort of folding umbrella I wanted.

Exactly the sort of folding umbrella I wanted. Quick to open with the button & just as quick to gather the canopy again; the stem needs pressing down manually afterwards, which is normal for this type. The neat shape and loop handle appeal to me ... a little bit of pleasure on an otherwise dreary day when I'm out in the rain.

Kevin Hoffman

A smart umbrella.

A smart umbrella. Sized nicely for keeping in the car for unexpected rain. Two can tuck under it (a chance to share with someone pretty). Not the smallest folded umbrella, but I like the extra cover. The gray is understated rather than flashy. Seems a sensible buy.

Theresa Raymond

I've never paid this much for an umbrella before, but I'm glad I did.

I've never paid this much for an umbrella before, but I'm glad I did. It feels solid and looks really smart tucked into its sleeve. The oval handle gets comments when I'm carrying it around, and people seem surprised that such an ordinary thing as an umbrella can look interesting. I don't normally bother writing reviews, so actually sitting down to write one probably says something. Ridiculous to be this excited over rain gear, but here we are :D

Doris Todd

Well - he thinks it is wonderful.

I picked this umbrella for my four year old son after going back and forth over a couple of choices. Well - he thinks it is wonderful. The beige is really nice in person, and he can hold it himself without it being awkward. He especially likes pressing the button to open it, with me helping when it needs packing away. Such a hit here!! The whole thing looks nicer up close than I had imagined from the picture. I'd certainly recommend it for a little boy who wants his own umbrella.

Katrina Gibson

Feels solid and has coped with the wind so far.

Been handy watching my daughters soccer games! Those days always seem to bring rain! Feels solid and has coped with the wind so far. Still a little long and awkward to carry around for me, even folded. Good for standing at games, less something I'd want to carry every single day

Charlene Vaughan

Luckily the umbrella itself arrived in good shape.

Good umbrella. gray like the picture, and it feels solid. The outer packaging was torn, which didn't leave a great impression. Luckily the umbrella itself arrived in good shape. My five stars are for what I'm using, not for the way the parcel looked when it reached me.

Spencer Barker

Just lovely to use.

I wanted a parasole to take along on my daily lunchtime walks. I go out every day and by the time summer comes round the sunshine can feel relentless. Wearing a hat just wasn't enough for me. This one looked so pretty in the photo's, and I was delighted that it looked just as nice when it arrived. Now I have my own little patch of shade wherever I'm walking. It makes the walk much nicer, and I feel rather pretty carrying it as well. Just lovely to use.
