Reviews had me expecting I might send this back, so I was pleasantly surprised. Everything looked fine and it's been through three rainy outings without trouble. My little boy, two and a half, is fascinated by it. I hold it over him and the canopy gives him plenty of cover. Very cute watching him enjoy an umbrella.

Back in my bag for tonight's rain!
Four and a half years of carrying this around the city and it's still my everyday umbrella. I have a tiny spare for the days I forget it, but this is the one that normally goes in my backpack. There's a little wear on top now from being shoved in there without its sleeve. Nothing that has stopped it keeping me dry.I tend to hold a bit higher up rather than right at the bottom of the loop handle. It just suits my hand better. Considering how long I've used it, the cost has worked out well.***Folding it neatly makes a difference. I gather the fabric around the ribs before putting it away instead of forcing a loose bundle into the sleeve. The button folds the canopy, and I shorten the telescoping section by hand before wrapping everything up.***Still the one I reach for without thinking. Back in my bag for tonight's rain!

A very practical umbrella.
A very practical umbrella. Folded up it doesn't take much room, then there is plenty of coverage once it's open. It has kept me dry and a bit of breeze hasn't bothered it. The button is straightforward to use and the frame feels strong. For a man wanting something plain rather than fancy, it does the job nicely. Mine arrived earlier than expected even with the Christmas rush. Everything was as shown and I would happily buy another.

It gives cover in the rain and also some shade when needed.
A very satisfactory product.
The handle and centre shaft are not burdensome, yet there is a reasonably firm feeling.
When the button is pressed the umbrella spreads out quite promptly, so please leave some room around it. It gives cover in the rain and also some shade when needed. (Anyone opening an umbrella in a narrow place will understand~~)
In my own opinion this is one I can recommend.
I intend to look after it and make good use of it.

A very solid umbrella.
A very solid umbrella. We checked it when watering the tree. The ribs were all straight and it looks carefully made. There is a cover included as well. The opening button is convenient. Pushing the stem down to make it short needs some effort. But it feels strong when the breeze comes, which is pleasing. Thank you for this, many thanks, I am satisfied.

Useful umbrella & a bit of fun!
I picked the cream white because I liked how it looked beside my car. Not exactly a practical way to shop for an umbrella, I know. It does keep me dry though & didn't cost much. I still catch myself looking around for a zombie to come lurching through the rain. Too many films for me, apparently. Useful umbrella & a bit of fun!

Such a lovely looking umbrella.
Such a lovely looking umbrella. It came within a few days. It was meant for my little granddaughter, but it's a bit heavy forher to manage outside on her own. She is delighted with it anyway. For now it has a place in herbedroom instead of coming out in the rain.

A nice umbrella overall...
A nice umbrella overall...the pink is prettier than I expected, and the simple style is a good choice for my daughter. Her favourites seem to change before I've even caught up, and I didn't want something she'd stop carrying the moment she went off a character. It's not particularly fancy, but it seems nicely made. Hopefully she'll be happy taking this one out well after the current obsession is forgotten!

Oh well, dry clothes matter more than a perfect fit.
My clothes owe this thing a thank you. Several wet days and I've stayed dry. Having a button for opening and collapsing the canopy is brilliant at car doors and getting on the bus. It folds down pretty well for how much cover you get, though I do wish it was shorter for my purse. Oh well, dry clothes matter more than a perfect fit.

The frame gives a reassuring impression when you open it.
The frame gives a reassuring impression when you open it. I don't know enough about the materials to identify them just by looking, but there isn't anything about the construction that strikes me as flimsy. The ribs have some give rather than feeling completely rigid, which seems sensible for an umbrella.
That is only a first impression, though. I haven't taken it out in the rain yet, so I can't say how it will stand up over time. If my opinion changes after some use I'll come back to this, but for now the build seems good.
Appearance wise, the closed oval handle is quite distinctive from a distance. Up close it's a simpler shape than I expected, not quite as fancy looking. Initially that was a slight disappointment. Then I thought...this is something I'm going to be holding with wet hands, not an ornament, so a straightforward grip probably makes more sense.
The sleeve isn't anything exciting. Just an ordinary cover to put it away in, and I wouldn't choose it on the strength of that.
Four stars because the handle takes up a bit more room than I'd prefer. A slightly smaller loop would suit me better, although that is taste rather than a serious criticism.

The older canopy has no tears and the button still works properly.
My original has had about two years of use, so this one is a spare for the house. The older canopy has no tears and the button still works properly. It hasn't really changed much since new. Those flexible ribs do give the umbrella a different feel in gusts, and I wouldn't confuse that with being indestructible. Packing it away with something in your other hand can also be awkward; the button closes the canopy, but you still push the shaft down yourself. Small inconvenience, and I'd much sooner do that than be replacing a flimsy umbrella every few months.

I'm a big guy and the coverage is good for me.
Finally an umbrella i'm glad I spent money on. The cheap ones I used before always seemed to give up just when I needed them, so i wasn't expecting much. This has been a different experience. I was doubtful about taking it out when the wind picked up, but it stayed in shape and did well in the downpour too. I'm a big guy and the coverage is good for me. A bit to juggle when getting onto busses wet, but once folded it's manageable. For actually keeping me dry, it's been great.

Solid enough for everyday rain.
Keeps me dry, which is the main point. A press opens it and another press folds the canopy; after that the telescoping part needs pressing down manually. Straightforward once you've done it. I already had one like this and was happy enough to get another, so there were no surprises. Solid enough for everyday rain. P.S.: The black looks much the same in person as it does in the picture.

Nice quality for what I paid.
Nice quality for what I paid. It was well protected when it arrived and felt solid as soon as I opened it. The one thing I dont love is how broad the oval handle feels in my hand. Worth pointing out if you like a narrow grip, but its really not enough to put me off using it.

Nothing to grumble about with this little brolly.
Nothing to grumble about with this little brolly. It's been through plenty of wet weather with me. It's a folding travel one, so I wasn't expecting the width of a full length umbrella. When it's really coming down I still put on my raincoat and use this above me and my purse. Fits my everyday bag (not one of those bags big enough to move house with...) and does exactly what I need.

Easy to put up & everyone likes it.
My daughter needed an umbrella for university in Northern California, where the wet, grey days can seem endless. Cream White seemed a nice cheerful choice. Her report was "It's lovely! Easy to put up & everyone likes it." The cost was was reasonable too; I expected to pay more for something she would be this happy to carry.
Sonya Richards
A decent weight and a smart looking thing.
My husband picked this one out and it came today. It was packed so TIGHTLY in the cardboard tube that getting it out became a whole performance, complete with commentary from hubby about the wrapping. Nothing damaged, just rather more effort than expected to get to an umbrella. Once that was over (and he stopped grumbling), he liked the feel of it. A decent weight and a smart looking thing. We haven't had the chance to judge it in proper rain yet, but he seems delighted with his choice. If it makes him happy and feels this well made, I'm happy with the purchase too.
Alfred Pennington
A purchase I can recommend without hesitation 🔥
Having carried it for several weeks, I can say I am satisfied with it, the finish is neat, the frame feels substantial for what it cost, and it has stayed steady in the windy rain I have used it in. Opening takes just a press and closing the canopy is equally simple; the button operates smoothly. A purchase I can recommend without hesitation 🔥

Feels reasonably light to carry without seeming flimsy.
Feels reasonably light to carry without seeming flimsy. The opening button works nicely, and the closing button gathers the canopy, but you do still push the shaft down yourself. That part is normal, just worth knowing if you're expecting the whole thing to retract. The oval loop handle is alright for me, although a little more space to grip would be welcome. I wear medium or large gloves depending on the pair, and my little finger doesn't settle quite where I'd like. Not a deal breaker, simply not the most comfortable fit for my hand. For the price I'm pleased with how solid it feels and the cover it gives.

This strikes a good balance.
Normally an umbrella would not prompt much writing from me, but my wife has been so pleased with this one that it deserves a mention. She carries one even on bright days and wants it to look presentable as well as being practical. The beige is understated, which suits her nicely. I wanted decent coverage, a properly made frame and something she would not resent carrying around. This strikes a good balance. It opens to a useful size without leaving her with a long stick to carry afterwards. The closed oval carabiner handle is not the traditional hook, but she finds it comfortable, and being able to clip it up is a useful touch.I work on higher-end cars for a living, so I tend to notice how things fit together and how a mechanism feels. This has a reassuring action and feels worth the price. Nothing needs to be flashy when the basic construction is done well...PS: Her friends at work have already admired her new umbrella, which made her almost as happy as staying dry.

A very handy design!
Took this along for my March visit to New York and it was excellent! We had wet, gusty weather while I was there, and the umbrella felt steady without being a nuisance to carry. The thing I appreciated most was how manageable it was between showers. Fold it up, slip it into its sleeve, and it doesn't leave you lugging a long umbrella around all day. That matters more on a trip than I had realized. A very handy design!
Patrick Meyer
Had this a little under a year now.
Had this a little under a year now. I expected something smaller once folded, but the size makes more sense when you see it open. There's a decent amount of shelter overhead. It has done fine in the rain I've actually used it in, though I haven't tried it in anything particularly fierce ... and don't plan to. You do feel a pull when the wind catches the canopy, so it isn't something I'd hold loosely. The frame seems solid enough without making it feel like a huge umbrella to carry. A little bulky for a compact, but overall I'm satisfied with it.
Rachel Wolfe
I am so happy with this umbrella good quality and very Stylish.
I am so happy with this umbrella good quality and very Stylish. The simple design is just my thing my apartment is full of little understated accent pieces so it fits right in, photos dont show it off properly i was smiling as soon as i unpacked it!! Now im hoping for rain so I can take it out!!

It's roomy when open, enough for two standing close together, the fabric is lighter than I thought but looks neatly finished, the ribs have some flex rather than being completely rigid, it seems a good umbrella so far although I'm still waiting for rain to try it properly.
Dominique Rocha
I gave my aunt this umbrella and she's delighted with it.
I gave my aunt this umbrella and she's delighted with it. It came along on our recent holiday and she kept saying how useful it was when we were in the sun for a while. We've only had it a short time, so I don't know how it will wear, but for shade and keeping the rain off it's been a very good buy!
Cory Lane
it's an umbrella.
it's an umbrella. Rain stays outside while I am underneath it, which is more or less the arrangement I wanted. It folds away when the sky stops doing that. Most readers will recognise the general principle. That said- it feels well put together for the money and has coped with ordinary gusts without making the whole business into a wrestling match.
Angela Hanson
Not a fault, just more effort than I expected.
Walking around the city in rain that seems to come from every direction is much easier with this. There is enough coverage to keep my upper half dry, and I can angle it into a shower without struggling with a huge umbrella. It is still worth watching the edges when passing people on a crowded pavement. The one downside for me is that finishing the fold takes a fairly firm push on the shaft after the canopy closes with the button. Not a fault, just more effort than I expected. Even with that, I wouldn't go back to the little umbrella I used before.
Monica Bonilla
It makes a good replacement.
My wife's been happy with hers, so I chose one when my old umbrella finally wore out after many years. It makes a good replacement. Two pointers-give it room when opening (the canopy moves quickly), and keep a light grip so it can move a little with a change in the wind. Simple things, but useful to know.
Jo Figueroa
This has been worth the extra money to me.
Mine gave me over a year of good use, and I would still be carrying it if I hadn't managed to misplace it. That's the only reason for buying another. For working in the city, especially wearing a suit, I want proper rain cover and something that feels dependable rather than flimsy. This has been worth the extra money to me. I recommend spending a little more on an umbrella you actually like using (the cheapest option isn't always the best value)
Edgar Forbes
One of the better folding umbrellas I've carried.
One of the better folding umbrellas I've carried. The canopy gives me proper cover rather than just keeping the top of my head dry. A couple of windy downpours haven't bothered it either. Goes into my sling bag without a struggle, so it's been handy between the car and office.
Anthony Harvey
.
Pay attention when putting it away, since pressing the button brings the canopy in but does not shorten the whole umbrella. . . To finish, push the telescoping shaft down by hand until it is latched, then the opening button is ready to use again.
The operation is straightforward once understood, and the umbrella works without any trouble.

Been using this for a few months now.
Been using this for a few months now. Easy enough to carry, though I can feel it move about in a breeze. Mostly I wanted shade. Southern California has been relentlessly hot these past weeks and this gives me a welcome patch of it. Not especially glamorous to look at, but I care more about it working. It also kept me dry on the England/Scotland trip, so it isn't only useful in sunshine. Planning to get one for my mother as well.
Michael Browning
Very nice looking.
Very nice looking. I needed something larger for two, so this wasn't the one I kept. Nothing against this umbrella though! ((I had meant to order a much bigger round one and chose the wrong size. This is the handy folding sort, which would be lovely for one person. My husband is outdoors a lot, but really I was thinking of us going out together. Dinner, shopping, stopping at a cafe...I wanted him to be able to hold one umbrella over both of us and keep our nice clothes covered too. So my search was more about extra room than anything wrong here. A purchase for him that is also for me, secretly...:-) Wishing everyone a happy Christmas, with warm homes and dry clothes. God bless you all.

It's stood up well to everyday wet weather.
Two years of constant use have made this my go-to umbrella, and I'm back for another. Living in NYC means rain isn't something I can just dodge on the way to the car- I walk through it. This fits in my work bag without taking it over, but opens wide enough that I don't feel squeezed underneath. It's stood up well to everyday wet weather. Being able to get it open with a single press is a feature I appreciate every time.
Mathew Shea
A really good umbrella in my experience.
My third one of these, and still the umbrella I reach for first. It is a little longer folded than I'd ideally like, but the cover once open makes that compromise worthwhile. I use mine for the usual wet weather and the frame feels substantial without making it difficult to hold. Nothing complicated about using it, which matters more to me than getting the smallest possible package. Bought another to keep in the car as well. A really good umbrella in my experience.
Dorothy Schmitt
Took a little fiddling to understand the closing.
Yeah, the size was in the description but it didn't really sink in until I had it open. More coverage than I was after, though it does the job and I'm happy enough. Took a little fiddling to understand the closing. The button folds the canopy, then you shorten the stem yourself. Once I knew that, it made sense and wasn't difficult.
Pamela Barber
I really like how this umbrella looks.
I really like how this umbrella looks. The oval loop handle feels different from the usual sort and I wasn't sure where to put my fingers at first. Nothing wrong with it, just a different shape. It isn't my favourite grip..I will probably appreciate it more when I want to clip it on my bag out in the field.
George Dudley
It feels solid, and the opening action is particularly smooth.
Having lived in Florida all my life, I have gone through more than a few umbrellas. This is easily one of my favourites. It feels solid, and the opening action is particularly smooth. Whether it stays that way for years is something I can't know yet, of course. The clean, unfussy appearance is what really sets it apart for me; it looks smart rather than purely practical. Between the way it works and the little bit of style it brings, I think it's an excellent umbrella.
Clayton Benitez
First impressions are good.
First impressions are good. Feels solid and the finish looks tidy. Checked it over and couldn't find anything amiss. Still waiting for proper rain before judging it outdoors. I'll update once it's had some use. Arrived undamaged, though the packaging could have been more protective.
Sean Mendez
That last bit is just how it works, not a fault.
I reckon some people expect a folding umbrella to do absolutely everything without lifting a finger. Mine has been excellent, alot better than the tiny ones I've carried before. A press gets it open, another press gathers the canopy, then you push the telescoping part down yourself. That last bit is just how it works, not a fault. There's useful room underneath and it has coped nicely with rain and a breeze. For me that's a absolutely worthwhile purchase. I'd happily recommend it, just take a moment to learn how it folds instead of wrestling with it.
Dave Chang

I gave two of these as Christmas presents to my daughter and daughter-in-law, both of whom use them going to work. They find the button straightforward and have each mentioned compliments on the design. It was nice to choose something useful that still looks a little different. The fabric and finish seem good to me (they've had them about three months). I would recommend them on that basis, though we'll need longer before judging how well they last.
Angie Flowers
Not difficult, just worth knowing what automatic means here.
My GF takes the train to work and is quite taken with this. Folded up, it's a sensible size for her everyday bag. One press opens it; another closes the canopy, but you still compress the telescoping section yourself. Not difficult, just worth knowing what automatic means here. It's felt steady in the breezes she's met so far, though neither of us is volunteering for a storm test. A small practical gift has earned me a surprising amount of credit.
Katherine Kemp
Pleased with how these worked out!
These were little "extras" for some recent high school graduates getting ready for college. An umbrella might not seem very exciting when you're still at school, but walking across campus in the rain soon changes that! Folded, they're manageable in a book bag, and opened they give proper everyday coverage. I wouldn't call them tiny, but they're a sensible size for carrying around between classes. They arrived quickly and looked neat enough to make a nice practical gift. Pleased with how these worked out!
Harry Benitez
For the money, this has been an excellent buy.
Jersey City has a way of turning a simple walk in the rain into a small wrestling match. If you've spent much time here you know exactly what I mean. An umbrella can look perfectly respectable indoors and suddenly feel like a sail once you're outside.Anyway, I've had three years here to get fussy about umbrellas. This is the one I'm happiest with so far. Covers me properly without making me feel as though I'm carrying a tent, and it hasn't turned inside out in my use. The frame has enough give that I'm not constantly worrying about it. There is still some pulling when the wind catches the canopy (you do need to hold on), but I can live with that. No folding umbrella is going to make the weather disappear. For the money, this has been an excellent buy. I'd pick it again without much hesitation.
Jeffrey Snyder
why spend $5 on umbrella's that need replacing a week later.
why spend $5 on umbrella's that need replacing a week later. I've got several of these for NY thunderstorms and haven't had one break yet. Mine tend to disappear when I forget them in a taxi or a bar. Love the one handed button opening, and how something that folds this small gives so much coverage when it's open.
Heidi Massey
The umbrella itself is good quality, not only a nice thing to look at.
I have a thing for this green, it is the sort of colour I always wanted on an umbrella. When I found this one I was so happy and now I like the colour even more. Not complaining about that. The umbrella itself is good quality, not only a nice thing to look at. Two people can fit if they stay close. My friends at the office all had something nice to say about it, and outside I notice people looking too. I also got another one and for me it is worth what it costs.
Olivia Pratt
The umbrella itself is excellent!
The umbrella itself is excellent! My one reservation is the sleeve, which feels rather basic alongside the rest of it. the cream white looks very nice and the canopy and frame seem much more substantial than the cover would suggest. otherwise, it's a good, solid umbrella and i would recommend it if the sleeve isn't your main concern.
Tiffany Roach
Can recommend the umbrella, absolutely!
Beautiful umbrella! For the little I paid - even nicer! Button sends it up, another press gathers the canopy, and the springy shaft has to be squeezed back in by hand. Open it is about 105 cm across, folded about 40 cm, so there is useful cover without a big long stick. Nicely assembled, lots of supporting ribs, 30 flexible ones in fact. Around 390 g to carry, not a feather, but feels substantial rather than cumbersome. In short, not something that feels like a cheap purchase just because it was cheap! I would have been happy paying more for this quality. Still looking at it and trying to understand how a small umbrella with all this frame and button business can cost so little. A bargain is a bargain, but this one really surprised me! Can recommend the umbrella, absolutely!
Well then.

Smart appearance, solid construction and a good finish.
Smart appearance, solid construction and a good finish. Living in the Pacific Northwest means I get plenty of rain and a fair bit of wind. This has enough substance to feel dependable, rather than flimsy. It folds down but doesn't feel tiny when open. The overall look is understated enough for work and still looks right down by the waterfront.
Brianna Ritter
This one actually gives me enough room.
For me this has been about the best balance of coverage and convenience I've found in an umbrella. I'm a broad guy, so the tiny ones don't give me much protection around the shoulders. This one actually gives me enough room. I use it in Buffalo, where rainy, breezy days give an umbrella plenty to do, and it has served me well. Being able to close the canopy with the button is especially helpful when one hand is occupied. You do push the shaft back in yourself afterwards, but getting the wet canopy down quickly is the useful part for me. It also looks smart in black and feels properly built. I used my first one for TWO years before losing it in New York. I liked it enough that I bought the same again!
