The size when it is open is what I like most. There is enough umbrella over me without it feeling like I am carrying something meant to cover a whole group. You notice that difference after using little ones that barely reach past your shoulders. The frame is another good point. Lots of flexible ribs, and it feels supported across the canopy rather than flimsy around the edges. It has been comfortable to hold through the breezes I've used it in, which matters when you are carrying other things as well. My previous umbrella was stolen, so this time I picked cream white and I think it's a nice colour. There is a sleeve with it too. I like being able to slide the dry umbrella into that before putting it away with my things. The oval handle is easy for me to hold, although it is a different shape from what I was used to. Overall it is a handy size folded and a useful size open. I'm happy with it.

I absolutely love this one.
I absolutely love this one. It is one of the nicest umbrellas I have owned, and I would recommend it to anyone. The finish looks carefully done all the way through, like someone actually cared about the details. Green on the outside and black underneath looks beautiful. I keep admiring it. There is a little weight and bulk, yes, but I feel the quality makes that a very fair trade. It feels substantial rather than flimsy. Honestly I could not be more pleased with how this umbrella looks and works. Bad points... can't think of any.
Cassie Ellison
I would recommend it to others looking for a compact umbrella.
The compact umbrella arrived in good condition, with a sleeve that keeps it tidy when packed away. The button opens and folds the canopy, and the stem is shortened by hand for packing. Once dry, it slips into the sleeve and sits neatly in my backpack. I appreciate not having loose fabric catching on the other things in there. Very satisfied with this purchase. I would recommend it to others looking for a compact umbrella.

A slightly smaller canopy would be simpler to steer past people.
After going through several umbrellas that couldn't cope with a gust, it's good to have one that feels dependable. I've had this about six months and it's stayed steady on some pretty blustery walks. The flexible frame seems to do its job rather than fighting every bit of wind. It folds away without being a burden to carry, though open it can feel rather wide on a crowded city pavement. A slightly smaller canopy would be simpler to steer past people. Still, I'd rather put up with that than feel I'm holding something flimsy.

The girls were as pleased as I was.
Ordered three for the flower girls at my wedding and they were a hit! The girls were as pleased as I was. They feel nicely put together, even with my excitable little sisters handling them. Delivery took a bit longer than I'd hoped, but we had plenty of time before the day. Would happily choose these again!

Until this one, I had never actually paid for an umbrella.
Until this one, I had never actually paid for an umbrella. I used whatever was around, collected the free giveaway ones or simply decided the rain could wait. This has made owning my own seem like a much better idea. If I misplace it I would replace it with the same thing. There's still a big golf umbrella at home, but when that one is done I can see buying another of these. The closed loop handle is handy for holding onto and doesn't feel like a tiny slippery knob. It springs open nicely, the canopy closes with the button, and I push the shaft in to finish. The sleeve is a useful little addition too.I'd recommend it. Solid feel, convenient to carry, and good on rainy, breezy days!

For the price this is a Very good umbrella.
For the price this is a Very good umbrella. Opens out to a useful size and has a sturdy feel to it. Arrived quickly too. I had expected something a bit cheap and bendy, but the frame and fabric gave me a much better impression. It is worth a look if your after decent coverage without carrying a long umbrella around.

Changing hands has sorted it out.
Rain has so far been kept above my head rather than on it, which is what I wanted. One button handles opening and folding the canopy, and it packs away smaller than its open size suggests. My slight quibble is with which hand I use. We drive on the left here, yet I seem to find this easier in my right hand. Not sure what that has to do with anything, but there it is. Changing hands has sorted it out.
Alvin Kaiser
Another good point is the handle.
There is quite a bit to like here for an everyday umbrella, but I would keep the word compact in mind before expecting too much. It is handy when you need it, rather than something I would regard as an umbrella for every situation.
For my own use, the convenience is probably its strongest point. Being able to keep it nearby matters more to me than having something particularly substantial. There are compromises in that, and they will bother some people more than others. I find it more convincing as a spare than as my only umbrella.
The green is easy enough to pick out. What surprised me more was the size once it was open. There is a difference between decent coverage for one person and enough room for two people to stay comfortable. At roughly 105cm across, it is usable on your own, but I would want something wider for sharing, particularly for golf. Compact when folded does not necessarily mean small, either, so check that against where you intend to keep it.
The thirty flexible ribs are a nice feature, although coverage would still come first for me. It has handled the ordinary rain and breezy conditions I have used it in over the past year. That is useful, but I would not take it as a reason to push my luck in much worse weather.
Another good point is the handle. The closed oval loop is comfortable to hold, even though it is different from the usual hooked shape. The release button is easy to operate as well. A second press shuts the canopy, after which you have to compress the telescoping shaft yourself. That last part is not automatic, just something to be aware of.
If you are looking for generous coverage for two, I would put the money towards a larger umbrella. For ordinary daily use or keeping as a backup, this has its merits. It is convenient and reasonably comfortable, but the size limits how useful it is for me. A fair umbrella rather than an exceptional one.

Years of leaving plain umbrellas by the door have taught me how easily they get mixed up. The oval handle on this one is different enough that I can pick mine out without a search. It isn't as broad as a full-size umbrella, so there's a bit less shelter round the edges, but I much prefer having something I can recognise.
Isabel Klein
Of all the umbrellas I've had, this one feels the best made.
Of all the umbrellas I've had, this one feels the best made. The button works smoothly to open it and draw the canopy closed, and the materials seem built for years of use. Oddly enough, it reminds me of the umbrella in that widely shared news photograph, with someone holding it over an important person. Probably not a reason to buy one, but there you go.
Mackenzie Hammond
Feels solid and the button is convenient.
A useful thing to have on a miserable rainy day! The gray looks smart, and there's enough canopy to keep me dry. Feels solid and the button is convenient. Best part is the closed loop handle, which hangs over a coat hook rather than being left on the floor. Hard to ask for much more from an umbrella!
Louis Fisher
We really LOVE this one.
We really LOVE this one. It gives the two of us enough cover. Getting into the car is so much easier: hold it overhead, bring the door nearly shut, hit the button to fold the canopy, then put it on the floor by my left foot. SO handy. Dad liked the one I bought Mom enough to request his own for Christmas, and my sister got one too. I ordered online after the shop at our local outlet mall shut down.
Tammy Houston
Nice umbrella.
Nice umbrella. I haven't taken it out in strong wind, so can't judge that side of it yet, but the build feels good. One small irritation is that after collapsing the canopy with the button, you need to compress the stem fully before it will open again. I had thought I could leave it extended and just reopen the top. Now I know the routine, it's manageable, just an extra step I find slightly inconvenient. Nothing major.

Happy to recommend this umbrella 🔥
Having carried it for a few weeks now, I can say I'm satisfied with it. It came in good order, the fabric and frame feel better than I expected for the price, and it has coped nicely with some gusty rain. The button moves smoothly, opening it quickly and drawing the canopy closed when needed; putting it away is straightforward. Happy to recommend this umbrella 🔥

Looks like a nice umbrella, only wish it packed down a bit shorter
At first I wasn't sure about the size when folded, I had pictured something smaller but once it was open I could see why. It gives a generous amount of cover and yes the push button is what I wanted. Haven't had much chance to use it outdoors yet, just waiting on a decent shower now. Looks like a nice umbrella, only wish it packed down a bit shorter

Make that part a touch easier on the hand and I'd call it perfect.
My mother uses this for shade and says it's much nicer standing underneath it than out in the sun. Just one suggestion (I hope whoever makes them sees this), the handle could be a little more comfortable for longer use. She reaches for it often. Make that part a touch easier on the hand and I'd call it perfect.

The quality has been a nice surprise for me too.
I wasn't expecting much given the low price, particularly after seeing such mixed reviews for umbrellas costing two or three times more. I chose these for my daughters' Easter baskets (they're 5 and 7), and both girls LOVE having them! The quality has been a nice surprise for me too. Two downpours so far and more pretend tea parties than I care to count, and they're doing nicely. They look really cute, and both girls have found the button simple to use for opening and closing the canopy. The sleeves are handy when it's time to put them away. I'm sure you could find something better made if you wanted to spend more, but I think these are a very good deal for the money. I'd be happy to buy from Haven again. Hopefully there'll be something with a little more of a boys' look for my son by the time he's old enough for his own! :)
Mary Rollins
As an umbrella, it is a good quality item.
An attractive umbrella, nicely finished and easy enough to carry. The blue is tasteful rather than loud, and I think it works equally well with everyday clothes or something a little smarter. As an umbrella, it is a good quality item.Nevertheless, I would be more cautious about treating it as a specialist sun parasol. It gives shade, certainly, but a dark underside is not by itself a stated level of UV protection. At this price I wanted to be clear about that distinction before relying on it for sun exposure. For anyone buying mainly for rain, that will probably not matter very much. For somebody specifically wanting rated sun protection, I would look for explicit information rather than make an assumption. It is a nice looking umbrella, though, and I am keeping mine.

Worth trying this type of mechanism if you haven't used one before.
For something that folds away fairly neatly, it opens into a useful amount of cover very quickly. We've nicknamed it the pop-up. The single button for opening and drawing the canopy closed is the clever part of it. You still push the shaft back in by hand afterwards, so don't expect that bit to happen automatically. After using it a few times I wouldn't willingly go back to wrestling a manual umbrella open. Worth trying this type of mechanism if you haven't used one before.

I wanted something a bit tougher for those gusty, wet days in the city. Had a chance to use this during a proper downpour and it did a damn good job of staying manageable in the wind. Rain coming sideways still got my lower legs though, so don't expect to be completely dry from head to toe.The canopy kept my head and shoulders covered, which was the main thing. Not a deal breaker, I'll just be more sensible about what I wear when the rain's coming at me from every direction.
Dale Sawyer
I can live with that for something that feels this solid when open.
The buildings where I work funnel the wind quite badly, so umbrellas get more of a test there than they do on the rest of my walk. This one has done well so far. Folded, it's a little longer than my usual choice and won't go in the small compartment in my car. I can live with that for something that feels this solid when open. The button action is positive, both opening and drawing the canopy in; then I compress the stem to finish putting it away. No guessing whether I've finished closing it. I'll come back to this if anything changes with longer use, since early impressions don't tell you everything. The sleeve is my main irritation. Getting the folds neat enough to slide it on takes more patience than I generally have. I suspect it will spend most of its time in the car instead.
Andrea Barrett
A little patience helps with any small sleeve.
1) The pink was my first worry, because screen colours can be a lottery. Mine looks just like I hoped it would, a proper PINK. (small celebration!).2) I'd read comments about packing umbrellas away and expected a wrestling match with the sleeve. Not here. I close the canopy with the button, compress the stem, then smooth the folds before slipping it in. A little patience helps with any small sleeve.3) Only two outings so far, so I'm hardly claiming some grand endurance test. It has also survived two days rattling about in my enormous bag of assorted nonsense. It is an umbrella, not enchanted armour (yes, I read too much fantasy), and I wouldn't treat it like indestructible equipment. Why does everything need to be shoved away at racing speed?? Give it a second.4) For what I paid, I'm delighted. Looks pretty, does the job, and hasn't been a nuisance to carry. I'd happily tell someone else to get one.

Everyday Automatic Umbrella Review.
Everyday Automatic Umbrella Review. After around a month of use, the part I appreciate most is being able to get out of direct sunlight. At midday the shade makes being outside feel more comfortable, and it has proved useful even on days without rain. The automatic opening is convenient when heading out, since I can get the umbrella ready with one hand. The button also gathers the canopy after use; shortening the shaft is a separate manual step. Its open size gives me adequate cover without feeling like a full length umbrella. I have also found it easy enough to keep in my bag, so it is usually there when the weather changes. The finish looks tidy, and nothing about carrying it has felt troublesome in ordinary daily use. Having one umbrella for both rain and shade makes it practical for me. It has become a regular item to take out, and I would recommend it for that everyday convenience.

An umbrella!
Damp, blustery New England had made us rather tired of getting wet. My husband received this umbrella for Christmas last year and, honestly, we laughed. An umbrella! How thrilling! Then I borrowed it and understood the attraction. The button opens it smoothly, there's comfortable cover overhead, and the oval loop handle is easy for me to hold. Folded away it becomes a fairly short, chunky package rather than another long thing to prop in a corner. My response was obvious: an umbrella went straight onto my own Christmas list this year. Pink for me, thank you! It feels like somebody thought about using the thing, not just how it would look in a photograph. Practical doesn't have to mean boring. A thoroughly satisfying present for the person who claims they don't need anything, especially if they're fussy about the everyday things they use!
Hailey Chapman
The button itself is straightforward.
Pretty umbrella, and the sleeve is useful for keeping it tidy in my work bag. A decent size once opened. The only fiddly bit is packing it away, I have to fold the fabric quite neatly to slide the sleeve over. The button itself is straightforward. It isn't the lightest thing in my bag, but generally it's what I wanted for everyday use.
Jon Kirk
Feels well made and I'm hoping for many outings with it!
Searching the shops didn't turn up an umbrella I wanted, so I was happy to find this! In Florida, outdoor events can turn into rainy events with very little warning. I wanted decent cover but not another long umbrella to carry around the whole time. This folds down neatly and opens quickly when the first drops start. In a crowd you still have to be mindful of the edge, of course, but it's a manageable size. The button is much easier than fiddling with a catch, and I haven't pinched my fingers using it. Feels well made and I'm hoping for many outings with it!
Dave Horne
Feels strong without being awkward to carry.
Feels strong without being awkward to carry. I have only had it out in ordinary rain, nothing like a thunderstorm yet. The nicest thing is how much water comes off with a few shakes, rather than it staying dripping everywhere. I leave it open a little longer to dry, then it goes back in my bag quite happily.
Jackie Salinas
Would happily buy again and recommend it.
I needed an umbrella to take golfing, and this has turned out to be a great choice! It seems good quality and I especially appreciate the automatic opening. Had a proper chance to use it the first weekend, playing in a tournament where it rained. It kept the rain off me between shots instead of leaving me SOAKED. Not an enormous golf umbrella, but that's fine for what I need and it's manageable to carry along. Would happily buy again and recommend it.
Michele Newman
What a good umbrella, I am delighted with it.
What a good umbrella, I am delighted with it. I honestly think it is one of my best umbrella buys and would certainly recommend it. I would have liked the shaft a little longer but that does not stop me liking it. For travel the folded size is very useful and it is simple to pack away. The green is beautiful. I keep saying how much I like this umbrella. There is a bit more weight than I expected, but it feels better made too.
Ross Huber
He likes the pink and gets a good hold on the loop.
Apparently an umbrella is much more than something to keep rain off a child. My six year old son asked for one for Christmas, and he's found plenty of other uses for it since. A shelter, a shield, somewhere to crouch while deciding what to play next. It's March now and, after a winter with plenty of warm rainy days, everything is still attached and working. I do keep an eye on where the fabric meets the frame, considering how he uses it. This isn't a tiny child-size umbrella, so I help him with opening and putting it away. He likes the pink and gets a good hold on the loop. Apparently having a proper umbrella of his own is quite exciting. All the practical reasons aside, he loves it and it has done what we needed it to do.
Spencer Rice
Summer sun was the main reason for getting this.
Summer sun was the main reason for getting this. It makes standing outside much more comfortable - having shade right with you is a real help. I carry it with me during a round of golf, so I don't have to look for somewhere shady whenever we stop. It has been out in a rain shower too and shed the water just as I wanted. I like the oval loop handle as it is comfortable to hold while I'm standing around. Once finished, I fold it up and put it in the sleeve. Useful for sunny days as well as wet ones.
Allison Irwin
I have NEVER had so many people stop to ask about an umbrella before.
Being very quick to burn, I bring an umbrella whenever I'm going to spend the day outside. This has been wonderful for a little shade, and it looks good doing it! I have NEVER had so many people stop to ask about an umbrella before. Must of explained where I found it about 40 times, honestly. The only SMALL reason for four rather than five stars is the push needed to slide the shaft back down after the button gathers the canopy. It's meant to work that way, just needs more effort than I expected. Apart from that, I'm delighted with it and it's become one of my favorite online buys! :)

Very glad I included one for myself as well
I ordered eight pink umbrellas for my wedding party to carry rather than bouquets. Opening the first one made me smile, they look so pretty together. The shape is simple but lovely and the pink is exactly the look I wanted. I sent a picture straight to my bridesmaids and they're excited about using them on the day. Each has a sleeve which is handy for keeping them put away neatly until then. The button makes opening them easy too, so there won't be any fiddling about. Very glad I included one for myself as well ;)
Nancy Lowery
Feels solid without being too heavy.
Surprisingly roomy when it's up, then packs away into a small enough bundle to take with me. Feels solid without being too heavy. The button is handy for putting it up and bringing the canopy down again. Bought another for a friend as well and she's delighted with hers!
William Juarez
Exactly the sort of dependable umbrella I needed.
The bus is my usual way of getting around, so an umbrella needs to fit my briefcase and stand up to more than a drizzle. This one has done both. Several rainy commutes in, including one with rain coming at me sideways, it has kept its shape and kept me dry. Once inside, it packs away neatly. Exactly the sort of dependable umbrella I needed.
Leah Hanna
It's already kept me dry through several miserable downpours.
After too many umbrellas folding the wrong way in the wind, I wanted something that felt a bit more solid. This one has given me that confidence, and using it is straightforward. It's already kept me dry through several miserable downpours. My main difficulty isn't with the umbrella at all, it's remembering whether I left it in the house or the car. If only it could come looking for me when the clouds appear. Might have to get another just to have both places covered. LOL

Really nice to give something I already enjoy using.
I've enjoyed mine for years and still get lovely comments whenever it comes out. Someone who had admired it so often now has one too, as a surprise from me! He was just SO delighted with it!Really nice to give something I already enjoy using. It's well made and useful, not simply something nice to look at, which is worth saying too :-) Thank you.

For days when I expect to need it, it's excellent.
After too many flimsy umbrellas that left me damp, I wanted one with a more substantial feel. This has been dependable and comfortable to hold. There's plenty of space for me, and two of us can manage underneath if we stay close. The button action is straightforward, and the canopy feels secure when it's up. I was also pleased that the handle doesn't have an unpleasant smell, something I've noticed with umbrellas before.Once it's dried out, I put it in the sleeve and leave it near the front door or in the car. Folded doesn't mean tiny, though. It still occupies some room in a bag, so I wouldn't take it everywhere for the faintest possibility of rain. For days when I expect to need it, it's excellent.
Wesley Stephenson
The flexible frame feels substantial without being cumbersome.
A good choice for someone wanting the convenience of a button to open the umbrella and bring the canopy closed. There is comfortable cover for one, with room to huddle close if sharing briefly. The flexible frame feels substantial without being cumbersome. Cream White makes a pleasant alternative to darker umbrellas, and a carry sleeve is included.
Laurie Boyer
Overall we're both quite pleased with it.
My daughter is delighted with it - to be fair, she'd probably be delighted with any umbrella. It looks nice, though this isn't a tiny little child's umbrella. The button needed a firmer press than she expected at first, and she still asks me to shorten the shaft after the canopy folds down. That's not a big problem for us, just something to bear in mind. Overall we're both quite pleased with it.
Collin Holden
Had a chance to mess around with it after it arrived today.
Had a chance to mess around with it after it arrived today. Rain/sleet is forecast for tomorrow so these are only first impressions, I'll add more once it has been outside properly. A few things I noticed.- The outer packaging had taken a knock, nothing on the umbrella seemed affected though- It was packed in a bag and the carry sleeve was included- The oval loop is comfortable in my hand. I'm an average sized man (6'9, 189lbs) and didn't find the grip cramped- There is a button for opening it and bringing the canopy back in. After that you press the shaft back in by hand, which was straightforward once I'd done it- Folded up it isn't overly long, although not something I'd put in a trouser pocket- Spread out there is plenty of cover for me. Could probably squeeze somebody alongside if I was feeling generous, they'd need to stay close- I gave it a pretty hard flap to imitate a gust and the canopy turned over, then returned to shape without anything looking bent. There is some flex in the ribs rather than everything being rigid. Overall it seems solid and put together properly. So far I'm happy with it, will come back after some actual wet weather.

Finding props that look right without costing a fortune isn't…
Finding props that look right without costing a fortune isn't always easy, so I was delighted to come across this umbrella. I wanted something with the right balance of price, colour, size and sturdiness rather than a piece that only looked good in photos. The cream white is just as pictured and the shape works beautifully for our costumes. It has already made it through three weeks of rehearsal and an eight week run, with plenty of opening and folding along the way. I'm impressed by how nicely it has held up, and would happily choose another for a future production!!!

Handy little umbrella, and it has kept me dry so far.
Handy little umbrella, and it has kept me dry so far. I haven't tried it in any serious wind and don't particularly plan to, since that seems hard on any umbrella. Folds small enough to go in my carry on without much fuss. Nice to have something useful that doesn't take over the bag. Just right for me!
Sheri Pacheco
Otherwise this is an excellent umbrella and would get five stars.
An extra inch or two of handle would be welcome, feels to small for my hand. Otherwise this is an excellent umbrella and would get five stars.I wouldn't let that put you off. It goes in my messenger bag when i'm on my way to work, and has been great in windy weather.
Cassandra Odonnell
They look smart and feel sturdy.
I ordered ten for our office so the directors would have something to use on their visits when the weather turns bad. They look smart and feel sturdy. Plenty of cover for one person, without a giant canopy to lug between appointments. Everyone seems pleased with them. I'm thinking of getting another one to keep at home now.
Lynn Cooke
I don't feel like I'm carrying a great long thing around all day.
I've carried this all over NYC for two years and am getting another. When you're walking everywhere, rainy days mean your umbrella actually has to do some work. The size is just right for that. It fits into my work bag yet gives me proper coverage once it's up, and has handled plenty of wet, blustery walks. I don't feel like I'm carrying a great long thing around all day. Love being able to open it with one press when my hands are already full.
Kaitlyn Marshall
The gray umbrella has been dependable and seems properly made.
The gray umbrella has been dependable and seems properly made. I ordered mine after getting one for my grown daughter for her wet weather walks. Collapsing the canopy takes a press of the button, but shortening the shaft afterwards needs a firm push...There is a bit of spring resistance to it. The included sleeve is useful for keeping it tidy when it's in my bag.It has coped with the moderate wind we've had, too. Overall I'm glad I bought it.
Trevor Ali
It seems solid and the overall finish looks good.
Opens out wider than i pictured!!! i paid more attention to the folded size when ordering, so that was a surprise. It seems solid and the overall finish looks good. We get more sun than rain here so it hasn't been out that much yet. My wife finds the button a little firm to press, which is the main reason i haven't given it the full five stars.
