Starting with what I like.

Starting with what I like. The umbrella feels well put together, from the oval loop handle to the framework supporting the fabric. For me on my own the coverage is good, and I can keep my dog close underneath as well. It has behaved well in the moderate breezes I've used it in. A press on the handle gets it open quickly; another press brings the canopy down. You still need both hands to shorten the shaft and tidy the folds. Gathering the fabric neatly takes a little patience, although it does become a fairly compact bundle. My reservation is the amount of space under it. At roughly 105cm across it is a useful personal umbrella, but I had pictured something roomier for sharing with the dog without crowding together. That is more about my expectations than the construction. Overall, this cost more than I normally spend on an umbrella, and the materials feel better than average. Nicely made, just not quite the generous size I wanted.

The description gave a fair idea of what to expect.

The description gave a fair idea of what to expect. In person the finish looks excellent, the construction is solid and the price seems very reasonable. I would give this purchase full marks. Pushing the stem down after the canopy closes takes a little effort, but I expect that will ease with use.

A sensible size and a solid umbrella.

I've had mine for over two years now and it still feels dependable. Everything holds together nicely-the push button opening is smooth and hasn't become a struggle. The oval loop handle is handy for hanging it up while it dries, which I appreciate. Looks smart as well. Open, there's proper cover rather than that barely-underneath feeling, but folded it isn't an enormous thing to cart about. Mostly I use it on my own, though two of us can tuck under for a short walk. A sensible size and a solid umbrella. Makes wet days a little less of a bother.

The frame feels good and it has been fine in breezy rain.

It's a nice umbrella, though apparently I imagined 'compact' meant small in the bag and enormous over my head. As a grown man I probably should've thought that through. I tend to shop by looking at pictures, and this looked roomier to me there than it does when I'm underneath it. The frame feels good and it has been fine in breezy rain. My shoulders can still catch a bit if rain comes sideways, but that's partly my expectations. Not enough of a problem to return it.

As for the umbrella, I feel I got very good value.

The help I received when my delivery got muddled was excellent. Someone actually took the trouble to sort it out instead of leaving me to chase it. As for the umbrella, I feel I got very good value. Feels Sturdy and made for regular use. I'm very happy with it.

I've had this umbrella for a few months now, and so far most of my opinion is based on opening it indoors and looking it over. It feels substantial and more solidly put together than several I've owned before. I was fond of my previous umbrella too, until somebody made off with it. Unfortunately we haven't had any rain here since this arrived, so I can't honestly say how it performs outside yet. Four stars for the feel and construction at present, with hopes it'll deserve the fifth once the weather finally changes.

Happy with what I got for the price.

Worked very well out on the golf course. Took it along last week on a hot day and used it for shade between shots. The green is a good bold colour and it feels solid in the hand. Opens quickly with the button, which is useful when you don't want to be fiddling about. Not a big golf umbrella, but enough coverage for me and much less to carry around. Happy with what I got for the price. Would recommend.

Maria Wilcox

Great umbrella!

Great umbrella! More room under it than I pictured. Ha! Keeps me dry out on the course, and my buddy can tuck in beside me for a minute too. I play whatever the weather... it folds down neatly enough to carry with my golf things. I'd recommend it if you want decent coverage without a full length umbrella. Everything's worked smoothly so far! Here's to drier rounds!

) is to pay attention to the size.

Beautifully put together and feels good to hold--not too weighty either! My ONLY caution (was I picturing it wrong???) is to pay attention to the size. Around 105cm across gives me good cover, but it is NOT a massive golf umbrella. I had imagined something a little wider before checking that. With that out of the way, I actually like the size for walking. It shelters me properly without making me feel like I'm taking over the pavement. If you need a huge area underneath for more than yourself, check the dimensions rather than assuming every umbrella gives the same amount of room.

This pink umbrella has really made a good first impression on me, mine came yesterday and with all the wet days we get here in Florida a decent umbrella is something you need, not just something cute. I've had enough of umbrellas turning inside out, this one feels nicely put together and the flexible ribs give me more confidence.. Hoping this will be my regular one for a long while, might even order another to keep spare... I noticed a little dust inside so I'll give that a wipe before taking it out, nothing much. Now I'm actually wishing for a shower so I can go for a walk and see how it does, funny how that works. When the parcel came I couldn't wait, straight out of the wrapping and outside to try opening it, the button makes that part so quick and the pink is really pretty. Been thinking about one for my daughter too, she's staying with her dad in California at the moment and doesn't get nearly the rain we do, still she'd have it ready when she needs it. For me it has the handy size and nice look I wanted, I'd happily recommend it.

This one feels ready for regular use.

Rain is just part of life here in the Pacific Northwest, and there are plenty of sorry looking umbrellas around. This one feels ready for regular use. My walk to work takes me over a bridge, where the wind off the water makes things interesting. So far it has stayed the right way round and kept the rain off me, which is what matters. I LOVE that it folds down to go in my backpack instead of being another long thing to carry. It's become one of those everyday things I don't want to leave behind.

Sooo happy with this umbrella!

Sooo happy with this umbrella! i haven't used it in rain yet, but it's been great for shade and fine in a breeze. heavier than the really tiny ones, not as heavy as a full size umbrella. the button opens it and folds the canopy back in. you still push the stem in yourself afterwards. opening makes quite a snap though, my cat wants nothing to do with it.

Kept spotting this style in photos and wanting one for myself .. eventually ordered it. it arrived during snowy weather and of course we had to open it up and have a look outside. Liked it enough to get one for my daughter, then my mum and sister and niece too. feels well made and the price was better than I expected

After a year of use, I still think this was money well spent.

After a year of use, I still think this was money well spent. I've lost cheaper umbrellas to windy walks to work before, so I wasn't expecting miracles from a folding one. This has been a different experience. It has coped with the rainy, blustery mornings I've taken it out in without turning inside out, and I haven't felt like I'm wrestling it the whole walk. I wouldn't call any umbrella indestructible, but this one seems pretty tough. The ribs have some give rather than feeling brittle, which makes me hopeful about how they'll wear. Overall it's a nicely put together umbrella that I'm glad I chose.

An umbrella gets plenty of use here!

Received mine for my birthday, which was very good timing after moving to the North West coast. An umbrella gets plenty of use here! Opened up it gives me a comfortable amount of cover without being something enormous to carry. My girl can squeeze alongside me if we stay close, although I mostly use it on my own. The oval loop handle was part of what appealed to me and I find it comfortable to hold on a walk. There are so many ribs supporting the fabric, and the whole thing feels nicely put together. It has coped well with the ordinary rain and December breezes I've used it in. A shake takes a lot of the water off before I put it aside to dry. I also appreciate being able to fold it down and tuck it away, rather than having a long umbrella to find room for. Getting it open is quick as well. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a useful folding umbrella for travel or just walking about. I'm definitely a fan!!!

Good umbrella, this is the second one i have bought.

Good umbrella, this is the second one i have bought. Still carefull with it in strong wind, even though it seems quite solid. I keep a firm hold rather than assuming it can deal with everything. Apart from that, the button works very nicely and it is a good looking umbrella as well.

Pedro Sanford

Finally spent a bit on a decent one and don't regret it.

Somehow I always end up out in the rain with nothing, or with some flimsy free umbrella that's been lying around. Finally spent a bit on a decent one and don't regret it. The beige looks smart and it's coped nicely with breezy days. A touch more width would be nice, but it packs down neatly and doesn't feel heavy to carry.

It opens out into a useful amount of cover without being a nuisance in my backpack. I'd like a bit more room in the handle, although it's quite comfortable for carrying. The button is especially helpful at busy entrances where nobody wants to stand around wrestling with a wet umbrella. A press shuts the canopy, then I push the stem in once I'm out of the way. This is my second one, because whoever came across the first apparently decided it belonged to them...

Jade Mills

Having handled the others makes me appreciate how solid this feels.

I wasn't keen on paying this much just for an umbrella, so I tried a couple of cheaper options first. Both ended up going back because they felt too flimsy for what I wanted. Eventually I spent the extra on this one, and WOW, the difference is obvious! Having handled the others makes me appreciate how solid this feels. It gives me the shade I wanted, the loop handle feels secure and it opens smoothly without a struggle. I'm glad I finally went for it rather than trying another cheap one. Very happy with it (a smaller price tag would still be welcome...).

Kent Simmons

A lovely little thank you gift!

Picked this out to thank a neighbor who came to my rescue in an emergency. Green is her favorite, and with our sudden Florida showers an umbrella gets plenty of use. The colour is GORGEOUS! She was delighted with it. It looks really smart in person, opens easily and gives her good coverage. A lovely little thank you gift!

Riley Navarro

A small distinction, but worth knowing.

Quite a sturdy little umbrella, and it has been fine in the rain and the wind I've had it out in. The button closing business confused me at first - I had pictured the entire thing shrinking back into the handle. I'm not particularly mechanical, but I couldn't see how that would happen in something this size.Well, it isn't what happens. Pressing the button brings the canopy in, then you push the telescoping section down yourself. So it does close automatically, just not every last part of it. A small distinction, but worth knowing. So anyway, that wasn't my main reason for choosing it. I wanted something reasonably solid that wouldn't take over the trunk, for the showers that catch me out. This fits that job nicely. I still use a bigger umbrella from home, but as a spare to keep in the car I'd recommend it.

Michele Russell

Overall the quality is what I was hoping for.

This feels like a good everyday umbrella and the folded size suits my briefcase. My one small gripe is the button needs a deliberate press, rather than a quick tap, when I close the canopy. Then I push the telescoping section down myself. Not a big deal, just something to get used to. Overall the quality is what I was hoping for.

Richard Donovan

This is a decent sized umbrella and the pink stands out nicely.

This is a decent sized umbrella and the pink stands out nicely. The automatic opening worked well. I ordered several for a flash mob and they looked good together, although moving them around in the dance was more awkward than I'd expected because of the open size. That's not really normal umbrella use, so I haven't taken much off for it. For everyday rain I think they're a good choice, but consider the space needed if you plan to use them for something similar.

Adam Baker

Nice umbrella otherwise, just not as convenient to close as I'd hoped.

Looks smart and feels like decent quality, but putting it away takes more effort than I expected. The button collapses the canopy fine; compressing the stem afterwards is the awkward bit for me. Nice umbrella otherwise, just not as convenient to close as I'd hoped.

Meredith Fleming

A lovely everyday umbrella.

A lovely everyday umbrella. Not much effort to open and quite manageable to carry. Folds down neatly and opens out to a useful size, for sunshine as well as showers. The pink is a little softer than it appeared in the picture, still pretty though. Fabric and frame seem sturdy.I'm pleased with my choice.

Darlene Walls

Such a cheerful way of going out in the rain.

Such a cheerful way of going out in the rain. I'd spotted one in a shop while away and left without it, so finding it online made my day. It looks very smart and springs out when you press the button. Give it room before trying that in the car...oops. The button draws the canopy back in too, then you push the shaft down by hand.

Jesse Schneider

It made her so happy and I am pleased with the quality.

I bought it for my two and a half year old granddaughter, who is fascinated by umbrellas. She was absolutely thrilled when she saw it.It feels well put together, with neat fabric and a frame that has a bit of give rather than feeling brittle. It isn't a tiny child's umbrella, so I handle the opening and we share it when she wants to use it. She doesn't mind that at all, she just loves being underneath. The gray is rather nice in person, better than the photo suggested. It made her so happy and I am pleased with the quality.

Jocelyn Ortega

Good purchase, mostly using it for shade while I'm out golfing.

Good purchase, mostly using it for shade while I'm out golfing. It covers me nicely and isn't much trouble to carry round. I wouldn't know what to call windproof, but it has handled normal days fine. We did have a gust catch it and pull my arm up once, which got a laugh, but everything was still in one piece afterwards. Happy with it for what I need.

Gabrielle Lozano

This one feels solid but is much easier for me to manage.

My walk to work is a lot less of a wrestling match now! The old full-size umbrella was awkward whenever a gust caught it. This one feels solid but is much easier for me to manage. I've stayed dry on rainy commutes and the frame has held its shape well. Good construction, comfortable to carry, just what I wanted.

Mary Fisher

Used it in today's wind and rain and came back dry.

Ordered this after losing confidence in my last umbrella during heavy wind. It was well packed and looked presentable straight out of the box. Used it in today's wind and rain and came back dry. It has a smart, understated look and the oval handle gives it a neat finish. A little bulkier folded than I'd hoped, but overall I think it's a good umbrella for the money.

Nathaniel Travis

This isn't something I'd tuck into a very small bag...

...My idea of 'compact' must be different. It's a nice umbrella, but I'd hoped it would take up less room (folded). My old automatic umbrella was much shorter in the bag, and actually had a wider canopy. This isn't something I'd tuck into a very small bag...maybe I should have looked specifically for a 'micro' size if that's what I wanted. Still, I like how it works, just not quite the packed length.

Cheyenne Meyers

Wow, it looks so nice!!!

Well, mine is here and of course the weather has stayed dry, so this is just from looking it over and trying it indoors.Wow, it looks so nice!!! simple rather than flashy, and feels much more substantial than I expected.I love pressing a button to put it up, then pressing again and seeing the canopy fold in. My husband actually asked about getting one, this from a man who never bothers with umbrellas. The pole still needs pushing down with both hands before you pack it away, took me a minute to realise that's how these work. Now it is waiting in the car for some rain!!! :) My 16 year old daughter liked it too and getting enthusiasm out of her over an umbrella is quite something. She thought the open size was good, looks like room to tuck in beside someone if you stay close. In all I'm so pleased with it and another one for my husband will be next.

David George

A little folding umbrella with a sleeve to put it away in.

A little folding umbrella with a sleeve to put it away in. There's enough cover for one person. Starting with it folded, the button sends the shaft up and opens out the canopy. Press it again and the canopy folds down, then the shaft needs pushing back in by hand. The shaft feels solid, a step above the cheap umbrellas I've picked up in shops. Under the canopy, certain bits of the framework look sturdy and other bits look less so. The button and the bit around it feel like plastic, the loop handle has a different feel and is pleasant to hold.I think the umbrella looks quite smart overall. For what it costs, I'm very happy with it.

Kirk Weiss

It feels every bit as good as the one I had.

I managed to lose my last one while away on vacation, so bought another. It feels every bit as good as the one I had. Nice looking and straightforward to use, with a button to open it and close the canopy. Feels sturdy in a breeze, but not so heavy that I mind carrying it around with me.

Tricia Sellers

Opens nicely, rain stays off, and I'm happy I found a place for it.

I wasn't sure about ordering because i wanted something that wouldn't feel bulky once folded. Picked green and liked how it looked, but it took up more room than I expected. Its a personal thing, I hate working out where to put something I'm carrying.update:I cleared a spot beside the door and started taking it out only when I needed it, holding the loop instead of the folded fabric. What a difference to how I used it! No more trying to keep it with me all day or squeezing it into whatever space was left. The folded size is fine for that arrangement. Opens nicely, rain stays off, and I'm happy I found a place for it.

Yolanda Prince

Money well spent in my opinion.

Pretty much what I would have put together if I were designing an umbrella for us. My wife needs to keep out of prolonged sunshine, so having shade we can bring along matters. Underneath this one feels nicely dark rather than having the sun glaring through above you. We use it while watching our daughter play soccer, and if the weather changes to rain we don't need to swap anything. I liked the first enough to buy a second, so we can each have our own shade without having to sit right up against one another. A few people on the sidelines have asked about them, which doesn't surprise me. It feels well made and folds down into something much less awkward to carry than a long umbrella. Money well spent in my opinion.

Arrived nice and quickly too.

A Mother's Day present...for my mother's mother-in-law actually, not my mother. The blue is lovely! Arrived nice and quickly too. If I hadnt treated myself to another umbrella a few weeks earlier I would probably have ordered an extra one. Although who says I only need one...ha! It was here well before the day, so I didnt have that last minute worry about turning up with no present. Thank you.

Judy Blanchard

Picked this up for watching golf tournaments and it was a good decision! Waiting beside the fairway ropes can mean a lot of standing around in the open, so being able to make my own shade is a real help. It folds away when I'm walking up the hills between holes and doesn't feel like too much to carry. For anyone who spends a day following players round a course, it's a handy thing to have.

Jason Cooper

A sensible size and button opening/closing make this a worthwhile buy.

A sensible size and button opening/closing make this a worthwhile buy. Why throw a few dollars away on rubbish time after time? The oval handle clips to a belt loop, freeing both hands when without a briefcase or pack. Bring your rain cover OR take whatever the sky sends in stride, either way the choice belongs to you.

There's a reason I'm enthusiastic, we live on the North Oregon Coast and wet, breezy days are normal here! We don't push our luck with it in rough weather, but for ordinary rain it's been excellent. Enough room for me, or two of us if we stay close, and it makes getting out of the house a lot less miserable.

Morgan Potter

Good umbrella overall, and I like how sturdy it is.

Good umbrella overall, and I like how sturdy it is. My one niggle is the length of the shaft. I'm 5'9" and have to lift my arm a bit more than with my old umbrellas. Not saying I regret it, I still use it regularly and the frame seems STRONG. A little extra length would have made it even better.

Jonathan Ferguson

Just a really good umbrella.

It takes up a bit more space than the little umbrellas a girl carries in her purse, but the extra coverage is worth having. Here in DC the wind has done away with plenty of mine. BUT after two years this one has been reliable every time I've needed it. Feels solid and handles breezy weather well. I leave it in the bottle holder on the side of my backpack so it's there when a storm comes along. Just a really good umbrella.

Alisha Butler

Excellent umbrella.

Excellent umbrella. It gets very, very windy here, and I've been impressed with it in everyday use. Solid construction and easy to take along. I'll likely get another, perhaps a larger umbrella too for times I want extra room. Of all the ones I've owned this is my favourite.

Lindsey Mckee

Good sturdy feel to this umbrella.

Good sturdy feel to this umbrella. I think it should handle a breeze well. Would have preferred a bit more width though; the roughly 105cm canopy covers me, but sharing it with another person would be a squeeze.Update: I love being able to open it with just a button press.

Lance Smith

A lot of the small ones I looked at just didn't seem worth buying.

I spent ages looking for a nice umbrella for a little girl, something that didn't feel like a flimsy toy. A lot of the small ones I looked at just didn't seem worth buying. This appealed to me because it looked like a proper umbrella, and I was even happier with it in person. The material feels good and the whole thing has a reassuringly sturdy feel without being awkward to carry. It is an adult sized umbrella when opened, which is worth keeping in mind if you're choosing it for a child. I do the opening and closing for her; the button brings the canopy in and then the stem needs pressing down to pack it away. The beige is really lovely, a softer look than I had imagined from the picture. Best of all, she absolutely loves it! She wants to take it with her whether there are clouds about or she just wants a bit of shade. It turned out to be exactly the sort of nice quality umbrella I was hoping to find.

Shelly Wilkerson

Opening it with the button is especially handy at the car.

We needed to replace a compact umbrella we'd left somewhere, and this has been a good choice. It packs down to a manageable length, although the rolled bundle is a little thicker than our previous ones. The frame feels flexible rather than flimsy, and the canopy gives decent rain cover without being enormous. Opening it with the button is especially handy at the car. I can hold it outside the driver's door and open it before stepping out. Coming back, I press to collapse the canopy as I get in, then manually compress the shaft once I'm settled. Much less awkward in a downpour.

Tony Bell

Very pleased with the value!

Probably my favourite umbrella now--I have a talent for leaving them on buses, in restaurants, anywhere really. A folding one that still gives decent coverage is what I need. I'm tall and this has a useful spread when open, but it packs down easily enough to take along. Very pleased with the value!

Kellie Waters

It lives as my spare rather than my everyday umbrella.

It lives as my spare rather than my everyday umbrella. A little long when folded for the smallest bag and not as much coverage as my full-size one, but dependable when I need it. People notice the unusual loop handle, which I rather like. Nearly three years later I'm still glad I picked it. Worth considering if you want a compact umbrella with a bit of character.

Dillon Gay

For what I paid, I'm happy with it.

My daughter has been taking this to grad school in Chicago for three months. She's had plenty of rainy, windy days and says it has held up well. Nice to hear she isn't wrestling with an inside out umbrella. Still opens properly and feels solid. For what I paid, I'm happy with it.

Paige Hayden

The umbrella itself works fine and keeps me dry.

I've only used it a few times and the folded size is bigger than I really wanted. I think I expected something that took up less room or something. It is a bit bulky for my preference. I changed where I keep it and that sorted the space problem out, so it isn't in the way now. The umbrella itself works fine and keeps me dry. The size was what bothered me, but I'm fine with using it now.
