I'm enjoying using it.

Closing the canopy with one press is the bit I keep demonstrating to people. It has a solid feel too - much more substantial than some little folding umbrellas. I'm enjoying using it. Lost a star because it's bulkier packed than I thought it would be, although I can still find space for it.

Decided to buy this one instead.

Tried the rental shops for an umbrella to use at my daughter in law's bridal shower, but the tired looking ones cost too much to borrow. Decided to buy this one instead. It looked lovely over the pile of presents, and she can keep it and remember the day rather than having to return it!

Also had to wipe the handle when it arrived, which wasn't ideal.

I like the look of this for engagement or wedding pictures. The black inside does show more than I expected at certain angles, so that is something for the photographer to work around. Also had to wipe the handle when it arrived, which wasn't ideal. Still a pretty umbrella and I think it will work nicely for our photos.

Wow, the quality is excellent!

Wow, the quality is excellent! A bit of weight, substantial fabric, and the flexible ribs look really good. Roomy once open, yet easy to carry folded. The canopy goes up and folds in with a button, and the loop handle is comfortable. Couldn't be happier, thank you 💚

Does exactly what I needed!

I'm away from home quite a lot, so I wanted an umbrella that could simply live in my travel bag instead of having to think about the weather before every journey. This one is compact enough for my backpack or carry on, but opens out to a proper useful size. It doesn't feel flimsy once it's opened, either.Does exactly what I needed!

It seems sturdy enough to be with her for quite a while.

For her third birthday my granddaughter had asked for a cream white umbrella, so this was her present. She was delighted with how it looked and wanted it up straight away. I like that it's a proper umbrella, with a nice amount of cover, although at her age I help with putting it away. We had rain that evening and she simply had to step outside and see it working. A few days afterwards she was using it for shade in the sunshine, just as happily. Lovely to see her getting use out of it for both, rather than only waiting for a wet day. It seems sturdy enough to be with her for quite a while.

Tristan Coleman

Still like the size so much that it's worth the extra effort.

I almost look forward to a rainy day now, it realy gives me room instead of just covering the top of my head. Very pleased with it, although when my hands are full at a doorway getting the stem pushed down needs both hands and is a nuisance. The button shuts the fabric easily enough. Still like the size so much that it's worth the extra effort.

Sudden showers are a regular thing here in Florida and this fits nicely in the rolling cart I take around with me! My work has me going between hospitals helping patients, so having an umbrella handy matters! It gives me good cover without taking over the cart, and I'm glad I picked it!

Finally used this last week and...

Rain doesn't automatically send me home from golf, so I wanted an umbrella I could keep with my gear. Finally used this last week and... did exactly what I needed. It gave me decent cover between shots and wasn't a heavy thing to carry along. There was a bit of wind too, and the flexible frame felt reassuring rather than flimsy.

Curtis Foley

Very pleased with the size once it is folded away.

I ended up buying this after hearing good comments about it in several places. I travel quite a bit for work, so a compact umbrella is what I needed. Overall, this has been a good buy and pretty much what I had hoped for. The packaging looked smart, and I liked the simple black look of the umbrella itself. The one thing is that after the button folds the canopy, you have to push the shaft back down to the handle yourself to reset it. So there is still that bit to do by hand. Apart from that, it pops open with a nice snap and has felt sturdy in wind. Very pleased with the size once it is folded away.

Our 3 year old son is fascinated with this umbrella!

Our 3 year old son is fascinated with this umbrella! He wants to take it along whether there is rain or not. The plain style would suit anyone, and it opens wider than the little umbrellas I've seen in shops. There is room for him to grow into it, so I can see him still wanting it at 5. The price seemed reasonable too. Both the fabric and the frame feel substantial rather than flimsy.

I'm liking this umbrella so far.

I'm liking this umbrella so far. Having a sleeve for carrying it is useful, although getting everything tucked back in neatly takes a little care, so I'll see how that goes with regular use. The frame seems solid and the handle has a reassuring feel, but I can't say yet how it will look after several seasons. I especially like being able to open it with a button rather than fussing with it in the rain. Closing the canopy works the same way, then I push the shaft down myself. For what I paid, I think it was a good buy!

Definitely worth taking along!

I'd been thinking about buying an umbrella for shade for a couple of years, and I'm glad I finally got this one. It sounds like a small thing, but my lunch break walks are much nicer now. I don't particularly enjoy being out in strong sunshine. My usual walk is about two and a half miles beside the water, with very little shade along the way. Getting back to work hot and sweaty, with my arms catching all the sun and those odd patches around my sunglasses, was getting old. This feels sturdy in my hand and has coped well with the breezes down there. For something that folds up, it gives me a decent amount of cover. It is still something extra to carry on a casual walk, though. On days when the sun looks fairly mild I sometimes stand there debating whether to bring it. Having it fold down makes that decision easier, since I don't have to carry a full length umbrella all the way back if I stop using it. I'm really pleased with it. Shade was my main reason for buying, but I've used it in heavy rain too and stayed nicely covered. It's become one of those things I wonder why I put off getting for so long. Definitely worth taking along!

useful things can still look nice.

Picked this up for a female relative who is quite particular about style. An umbrella is a practical purchase, since rain comes along wherever you are. but, the neat shape and oval handle give this one a little flair. useful things can still look nice. and, for the money I think it makes a good gift, something that will be carried with pleasure instead of just put away and forgotten about.

Liking it so far.

Liking it so far. I work in downtown Chicago, where the wind can be rough on umbrellas. Only used this a couple of times yet, but it feels sturdy and gives good coverage without being bulky folded up. It stays in my backpack so there's something ready when the rain comes.

Frances Suarez

Happy to have one again.

Another purchase after leaving my first in a restaurant (naturally). Anyway - the coverage is great and pressing the button is still surprisingly fun. The opening has a proper spring to it, the whole canopy pops out quickly as soon as you press. Happy to have one again.

Isabella Rodgers

A smart looking umbrella and it seems put together well.

A smart looking umbrella and it seems put together well. Cant complain at the price. The storage SLEEVE is a nice addition, keeps it all together neatly when its put away. I like having something to slide it into rather than leaving the folds loose in my bag. Would happily get another and recommend it, or choose one as a present for somebody.

Michael Branch

I really like this shade of gray.

I really like this shade of gray. I've had a couple of umbrellas in a similar colour before, so I knew the sort of look I wanted. This one feels much more substantial than the last one I carried. The gray is also closer to what I had in mind, not as washed out. I'm quite taken with the oval handle too, comfortable and a little different. I'd certainly recommend it!

Maxwell Gross

This is the umbrella I take with my kayak stuff.

This is the umbrella I take with my kayak stuff. I've got a milk crate behind the seat with rod holders tied on, so there's already enough gear back there without bringing some giant umbrella along too. This one stays folded until I need it, then I'll hold it while I'm stopped for a bit of shade or waiting out a shower. Let me tell ya, a little shelter makes sitting around on the water a whole lot nicer -- especially when the sun comes back out. It feels solid without being a ridiculous thing to carry. I still put it away before getting moving again, obviously, but for those pauses it's freakin handy.

Sandy Erickson

Its handy for making some shade when you're out in the sun.

Its handy for making some shade when you're out in the sun. A little heavier than I hoped, and the closed oval handle isn't something I can just slip over my arm. Still, its comfortable enough to hold and gives useful cover in rain as well. A good buy if you spend alot of time outdoors, just allow a bit of room for it.

Rebecca Park

Shade is what we needed here in Arizona, not so much help with rain.

Shade is what we needed here in Arizona, not so much help with rain. There's enough room for us to walk close together to work ^_^ It seems sturdy, opens easily, and it's nice having that patch of shade along with us. Haven't had the chance to test it in rain yet =D

Sheri Wall

Once I'd worked that out it was easy.

Really solid feeling umbrella, and it opens wider than you'd think looking at it folded up. Enough room to keep my shoulders covered properly. The automatic part is pretty cool too. Press once and it pops open, press again and the canopy folds together. Then you have to shorten the stem yourself until it catches, which I didn't understand straight away for some reason. Once I'd worked that out it was easy. It is a little weightier than I expected from the pictures, I will say that. But yeah, for something that feels sturdy, gives decent coverage and is actually convenient to use, I'm impressed with this one!

Mandy Ho

The speed it springs up caught me by surprise, in a good way.

The speed it springs up caught me by surprise, in a good way. Been out in proper heavy rain with it and the canopy has kept the water off without any drips coming through. Wind will still send rain onto your trousers, of course, it can't shelter every inch of you. It's straightforward to put away before going indoors and hasn't been a nuisance to carry. I spent ages trying to pick a compact umbrella that felt dependable. This one has that solid feel in the hand without being cumbersome, and I've been really pleased with it.

Jack Farrell

Folded up it is handy to take...

Cost is reasonable and it doesn't use up too much bag space. Before, on trips abroad, sudden rain meant looking for an umbrella, now I already have one... Folded up it is handy to take... Looks like the photo, though for somebody with a bigger build I think the cover could feel a little small.

Candice Tanner

Brilliant umbrella i'm ordering another for me and my other daughter the loop clips onto a bag so less chance of forgetting it when i was a waitress umbrellas were always being left behind push the button and up it goes push again and the canopy folds away really good buy

A very happy recipient

I received this as a present and love the look and the substantial feel of it. Everything was in good shape when I opened it and it works beautifully. Never thought an umbrella would have me looking forward to a rainy day, but this one does! A very happy recipient

The loop handle makes this one easy for me to pick out.

Wanted an umbrella I would recognise straight away rather than keep leaving behind. The loop handle makes this one easy for me to pick out. From the description I had imagined something that folded down smaller, of course I should have checked that more carefully before buying. It does fold, just not into the tiny bundle I had in mind. Having said that it is a good umbrella and I take it when the morning looks wet. There is proper coverage once it is up and it has managed the rain well.

Douglas Singh

I recommend them, yes.

I recommend them, yes. I bought two and at first was not sure how to close them fully. You press the button and the canopy shuts, then push the shaft down yourself. Now that I know, it is easy. I plan to get another two because we are four at home. PS, for me they are worth it.

Cassidy Joseph

First proper rain of the year turned out to be a windy one.

First proper rain of the year turned out to be a windy one. It flipped over in a gust, which I can't say was shocking, but the ribs flexed instead of staying bent. Back to its usual shape and carried on keeping me dry. That's the bit I care about. The loop handle is handy too, as is the sleeve when I'm putting it away. Folding up all the... fabric bits... isn't my greatest skill, but it goes in without too much persuasion. Nice to have something that feels useful rather than precious (because I am not careful with umbrellas)

Hunter Chang

A purchase I can recommend!

The parcel was tidy when it arrived, and the umbrella inside was in good condition. Unpacking it gave me a positive first impression, and nothing appeared careless about the way it was presented. I looked over the umbrella before using it and found the appearance consistent with the description. The overall finish and feel are better than I expected in this price range. The fabric and the frame look neatly put together, without anything obvious to complain about. In actual use, the opening button is convenient and the canopy gives a useful amount of shelter. It also packs down to a manageable size afterwards. Everything I have needed it to do has been straightforward, which is important in an everyday item. The simple design is another advantage, since it is not something I expect to get tired of looking at. Overall, I consider the quality very satisfactory for the money. From the initial condition to the practical use, my impression has remained positive. I would happily choose the same umbrella again when another is needed. A purchase I can recommend!

It seems nicely made and feels solid, but it's LONG even folded.

It seems nicely made and feels solid, but it's LONG even folded. I carry a huge bag to work and still have to tuck this in diagonally to get it to fit. That aside, I'm very happy with it. Haven't had a really blustery day to try it on yet, but it's coped nicely with the usual rain and wind on my commute.

Latasha Clarke

Didn't think much of this little umbrella when I first held it.

Didn't think much of this little umbrella when I first held it. Seemed to light to be any use once the wind got up. Two months later, its made me eat my words. Apparently judging umbrellas is another talent I don't have (the list keeps growing!). It's come through several proper wet and windy days and the button still works fine. Still feels a bit insubstantial to me, but I can't argue with how it's performed.

Derek Romero

Smart without being showy, which suits me.

Smart without being showy, which suits me. The canopy pops up briskly and comes down with a press too. I spent ages looking through umbrellas because smaller folding ones always make me nervous in a breeze. It feels substantial in my hand and has coped with wind, rain so far. If things get really wild I'll go indoors rather than test its limits. I'd recommend it.

Damon Berg

My four year old is very taken with it.

My four year old is very taken with it. For what I paid, the umbrella feels quite solid, although I wouldn't expect anything in our house to be completely child proof. A year of that sort of treatment would probably be doing well. I'm happy with the way it's put together and the design, just keeping my expectations sensible with a small child using it.

Madison Mays

You don't learn much about an umbrella until the wind gets at it.

You don't learn much about an umbrella until the wind gets at it. I've spent more on ones that folded over straight away, so this one coming through a windy rainstorm intact makes it decent in my book. The only small downside for me is having the same beige on both of the ones I ordered. Nothing wrong with the shade, just not much variety between the two. It's hardly a big issue, but I would have liked one in a different colour rather than having a pair that look exactly alike.

Theodore Keller

Both feel very well made.

My old umbrella lasted ten years before I lost it, so I wanted a replacement I would be just as happy to keep. I picked the green version and also bought a second one to have available. Both feel very well made. Automatic opening is something I really appreciate, and this is a sensible size for regular use. My daughters have received automatic umbrellas as gifts before and they enjoy using theirs too. A good umbrella is one of those things you miss immediately when you haven't got it. I loved my old one, and these have been a very satisfying replacement. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the same again. No need to keep looking when something suits you this well.

Claire Love

Overall, a practical purchase that I'd recommend for everyday use.

In Texas, we get rain coming at an angle, so an umbrella has to be comfortable to hold in the direction you need it. This one has worked well for me on ordinary rainy days. The canopy is opaque, so I keep it high enough to see where I'm walking rather than pulling it down over my face. The frame feels solid without making it awkward to carry, and it has kept its shape in the breezy weather I've used it in. I also appreciate being able to fold it down instead of finding a home for a long umbrella. Someone in the family usually grabs it before going out now.Overall, a practical purchase that I'd recommend for everyday use.

Jeanne Contreras

The pink is more noticeable than I really want in an umbrella.

The pink is more noticeable than I really want in an umbrella. I keep thinking I would prefer a softer shade, although there is nothing wrong with the colour itself. If you enjoy pink you may feel differently, but I am fussy about these things. I have got used to it now and the umbrella works well, so I am keeping it. Next time I would choose a quieter colour.

Stefanie Proctor

This has been such a good purchase!

This has been such a good purchase! I was tired of flimsy umbrellas, so I hoped this would be a bit sturdier. I chose it for its neat appearance, and it looks even nicer in person. The best part is that after more than six months it's still working smoothly. The opening button has been completely dependable, and closing the canopy with it is handy too. It feels solid without being awkward to take along. The cover is a little wider than my usual folding umbrella, which I appreciate, and it hasn't turned inside out during use. Very happy to recommend it!

Jo Small

Ordered one for my daughter at college since she spends so much time walking between places in the rain. The first went missing, and she asked for the same kind again rather than trying something different. It gives her good coverage without being a full length umbrella to lug around!

Samantha Campbell

This has kept me dry and I'm happy with it.

Living on the northern California coast, I needed something for the mile and a quarter walk between home and my bus stop. This has kept me dry and I'm happy with it. There are a few places where the open canopy is a bit wide to get past utility poles and bushes. Really, a little attention to the shrubery would solve most of that. I'm pleased with the loop handle; it sits comfortably in my hand and I can keep a good grip when the wind picks up. The shaft gives me enough room to hold it without having my arm at an awkward angle. A very good umbrella for my walk and one I'd happily recommend!

Taylor Montgomery

We both think it was a good choice.

Bought one for my mom at christmas a couple years back. There isn't much rain where we live, but the occasional wet day usually comes with wind as well. Whenever I'm at her place and the weather comes up, I end up hearing again how much she likes this umbrella. She says it feels strong and is still working well. It's nice to buy something that gets appreciated long after the holiday. We both think it was a good choice.

Shawn Martin

it opens quickly though and keeps me dry, which is what matters.

For work I'm constantly going between buildings, so having an umbrella that fits in my bag is useful. Looks smart too. I stopped bothering with the sleeve after the first use (too much fiddling to get it back inside every time). The button closes the canopy fine, but the shaft still needs pushing down by hand and that takes a firm push.. maybe I need more practice.. it opens quickly though and keeps me dry, which is what matters.

Eugene Waller

Its steady once opened and the button saves some fuss.

Good coverage for me and the bag I carry, though I wouldn't call it roomy for two adults. Its steady once opened and the button saves some fuss. The sleeve is the part I like less, getting everything rolled tight enough to slide it in takes patience. A little more space in that sleeve would make packing it easier

Jesus Lin

My wife's been using hers happily for a while.

My wife's been using hers happily for a while. My old umbrella finally gave up after about fifteen years, so I got this as its replacement. Suits me well. Couple of things-press the button to gather the canopy, then shorten the pole manually (took me a moment), and let it dry out before putting the sleeve on.

Nichole Harding

seriously, how is an umbrella this freaking NICE.

seriously, how is an umbrella this freaking NICE. for this price too. it doesn't have that flimsy cheap feel, it's SOLID and it looks AMAZING. I'm SOOOO happy with it! A fan chose it for me off my wishlist, so that makes me grin even more. HELL YES, what a great present!

Penny Crosby

The push button is my favourite part of this umbrella.

The push button is my favourite part of this umbrella. I had pictured the WHOLE thing shrinking back down when you pressed it, which isn't quite how it works. The canopy closes on its own, and you push the telescoping part back in by hand. Honestly, that still makes getting into the car or through a doorway so much easier. I can close the top, step inside, and deal with shortening the shaft once I'm under cover rather than fussing with wet fabric outside. It takes a moment to understand the sequence, but now I find it very handy. Such a simple thing that makes a difference!

Glenda Rich

This one has kept it's shape for me.

Bought this to stay dry around Chicago, where my earlier umbrellas always seemed to get blown inside out. This one has kept it's shape for me. It gives me enough coverage (I'm quite a small woman), although someone bigger might find it a little small. Carrying it around is the only awkward bit, particularly as I use public transportation. Even so, I really like the solid construction and plain, classic appearance. For someone who wants protection in blustery rain, this has been a very good choice.

Austin Collins

An earlier umbrella disappeared off my porch.

An earlier umbrella disappeared off my porch. (Apparently somebody else liked it too) This is the replacement and it has worked out well. I have a young son, so anything that makes leaving the house in the rain easier is appreciated. It gives us decent cover when he's tucked close, and I can angle it over the stroller when needed. I wouldn't expect it to cover the whole stroller and me spread out, but for our neighborhood walks it works. The button is particularly useful when one hand is occupied pushing. I can get it up without stopping to wrestle with it, which sounds small until you've tried juggling everything. It's wide enough that I'd be more careful on a packed city pavement, but around here it works nicely. The sleeve needs the fabric rolled fairly neatly to go on, but that's a small thing. I'd happily suggest it to other parents.

Joy Fisher

A thoughtful design, in use as well as in appearance.

A thoughtful design, in use as well as in appearance. Walking into a chilly wind along a busy sidewalk is where I appreciate having something that feels this well put together. It gives decent cover without making me feel that I am carrying a whole tent through the other pedestrians. My one reservation is packing it away. The button folds the canopy, but you still have to push the shaft back in by hand and gather the fabric neatly. That part is a little awkward. Otherwise I think it is a worthwhile purchase. Replacing a succession of flimsy umbrellas is not much of a saving.
