Neat folding umbrella.

Neat folding umbrella. Good finish. Heavier than I had pictured and quite a thick bundle once folded up. The frame feels substantial. The canopy opens with a brisk movement, a little surprising if you aren't ready for it...I make sure to give it some space before pressing the button. Nothing wrong with that, just something I noticed. Not a dealbreaker. Overall a nice umbrella, though it takes up more room in my bag than expected.

The Cream White looks nice, plain rather than flashy, which suits me.

Opened out, this umbrella gives a decent amount of cover without being one of those huge things that takes up the whole pavement. Folded down it is a manageable size, although the oval loop handle does make it a little longer than I pictured. I had expected a bit more width across the top. In use though it has been quite enough for me, and it is easy enough to carry about without feeling like I am carrying a full size umbrella all day. The opening mechanism seems solid and there is no loose feeling where the handle joins on. It was straightforward to use from the start. I would suggest it to anyone wanting a compact umbrella with something more substantial to hold than a tiny knob. The Cream White looks nice, plain rather than flashy, which suits me. There is a sleeve for putting it away in when you are finished. It does not take up much room on its own so I can put that in a pocket while the umbrella is up. If I was changing anything I would give the handle a little more texture. With wet hands I prefer a rougher surface to hold, although I have not had any real trouble keeping hold of this one. That is more a personal preference than a fault with the umbrella. For the price I think it is a sensible buy, and it looks quite smart when you are out walking with it.

Now she has her own to carry, and is very proud of herself.

Seeing another mum arrive at daycare with three children carrying their own umbrellas convinced me my daughter needed one too. It is much easier than trying to keep her underneath mine while she reaches up and insists on holding my handle. Now she has her own to carry, and is very proud of herself. I help with opening it since she is only three, then she likes to do the walking part herself. The daycare people and other parents keep stopping to admire her with it, which she certainly enjoys. She isn't gentle with things either, but so far this has coped well with her rather enthusiastic way of carrying it.

heavy...

Needed shade on a cross country trip and first tried taking a great big umbrella...heavy...awkward to pack. Why did I think that was sensible???This one was much better. Comfortable to walk with, even jog a bit, and enough shade for me...then folds away without being another enormous thing to lug about.

The quality on this umbrella is something else!

The quality on this umbrella is something else! Honestly ! I chose pink and it makes me smile P:Everything feels nicely finished, not just the bit you notice first. Such a pretty umbrella,I want to take it along everywhere. Proud of this little purchase and very glad I ordered it. Thank you.

An umbrella doesn't need to be for women or men.

An umbrella doesn't need to be for women or men. My fiance carried this for months and really liked it. Unfortunately he left it somewhere, so another one is probably on the cards. It's solid and opens wide enough for us both if we stay close together, which is really useful. It isn't the smallest folding umbrella and it has some weight compared with the thin travel types. I notice it in a bag, but don't mind. Having something that feels substantial and gives us decent cover is worth carrying a little more around.

I would certainly recommend it.

The parcel had barely arrived before I was out in the driveway giving this umbrella a try. The beige is such a nice colour, and I liked seeing it opened up rather than just folded in my hand. I put it up and down a few times because I wanted to see how the button worked. It opens quickly and the canopy pulls closed with another press. You do have to push the stem down yourself afterwards, which I mention because the button doesn't do that last bit. After trying it I found it quite straightforward. Fortunately there has finally been some rain here, so it hasn't just been sitting there waiting to be used. I've carried it twice now and am delighted with the coverage. There is room for me and my purse without having to hold everything right against my body. Going from the grocery store to the car, it also sheltered part of the shopping cart. Not every corner of it, of course, but enough to be helpful while getting things into the car. I threw away an old large umbrella a few months back and have missed having one that gives me this much cover. I also appreciate that this one folds down instead of leaving me with a long umbrella to find a place for afterwards. The beige suits me just fine, and I'm glad I have it ready for the next rainy day. I would certainly recommend it. Five stars from me!

This umbrella has been useful just for making my own shade.

Living around Tucson means a lot of summer sun. sunscreen on my face gets sticky and ends up on the phone, and a hat only shades so much. My hands and arms need a break from it too. This umbrella has been useful just for making my own shade. It feels cooler underneath and I can angle it where I need it. We've had weeks of breezy afternoons and it has handled the days I've taken it out without a problem.I chose Black, so it's not some bright warning flag, but I do feel a little more noticeable carrying an umbrella across the road. Drivers turning through crosswalks here can be oblivious, I still watch them closely. I still use sunscreen, this is just another way to stay out of that relentless sunshine while I'm walking.

Pro's:- Blue!

Pro's:- Blue!- Sturdy frame- Oval handle feels good- Comes with a sleeve- Generous canopy!- Feels well made!- Button action is positive, no flimsy feeling- Stays steady when I give it a shake Con's:- Folded length is more than I expected- Pushing the stem home needs both hands- Would prefer it a little smaller for my bag

An attractive umbrella & nicely put together.

An attractive umbrella & nicely put together. With the rainy, windy weather we get here in Florida, I wanted a decent one without paying too much & this has suited me well.I had a small question about the finish at first, but it was cleared up without any fuss. Nice to have that settled and be able to simply enjoy using the umbrella.Thank you

Walking is usually my first choice if the distance is manageable.

Walking is usually my first choice if the distance is manageable. I do several miles getting to work and home, and business travel means an umbrella has to earn its space in my bag as well. Rain is one thing, but wind is what makes me wary of a folding umbrella. This one has coped nicely so far. Nothing approaching a real gale, I should add, just the sort of wet, blustery days I normally walk through. What makes it worth carrying, for me, is that it doesn't feel like another heavy thing to lug around. I've used sturdier-feeling umbrellas that were rather a burden by the time I had shopping and everything else in my hands. This feels much more manageable. Not weightless, obviously, but I don't find myself wishing I'd left it at home. There are a lot of ribs under the canopy, and they have some give rather than feeling rigid. It looks quite substantial opened up, despite being a compact umbrella. Ordinary rain has been no problem, which matters more to me than how impressive it looks indoors. It also packs neatly enough for travelling. I can put it in my suitcase without having to arrange everything else around a long umbrella, and the extra weight is reasonable. Keep the size in mind, though. Open, it is roughly 105cm across, so there's useful coverage for one person without carrying a huge umbrella. For a forecast that might turn wet, that's just right. For a prolonged downpour with bags to protect too, I would still consider something larger. That doesn't detract from how handy this is for my usual walking. My only slightly contrary thought is about my own colour choice. The Gray is perfectly respectable, and easy to live with, but I do enjoy something brighter on a gloomy day. Walking in town, I also prefer not to blend into quite so much grey. There are brighter options, so perhaps I should have been less sensible. Pink next time?

Love that.

Having had several skin cancer surgeries, I am pretty cautious about being out in the sun. Difficult, because outdoors is where I like to be. This umbrella gives me some portable shade and makes hot days feel more comfortable, though I still take my usual sun precautions. The fabric seems substantial and the button saves me wrestling with it to get it open. It has made being outside a little more enjoyable again. Love that.

An umbrella like this has been on my list for a while.

An umbrella like this has been on my list for a while. I needed it straight away, too, as it was poring rain the first time I took it out. It kept me dry and didn't flip over when the wind picked up. Opening is smooth and the canopy closes neatly with the button. For me the useful part is getting decent cover from something I can put away in a bag.I know people can get very particular about how an umbrella looks. Honestly, I'm more interested in whether it works. This one does, and it looks perfectly fine to me. Good value for what I paid.

Megan Clay

These umbrella's have worked out just as I hoped.

These umbrella's have worked out just as I hoped. I've left one in the car, put another in the truck and kept one handy in the house. Easy to get a decent hold of the handle, and they open wide enough to give me good cover from the rain. A very useful buy for the money. Thank you for these.

Julian Mejia

Feels firm, well made and also nice to look at.

Over the years I have bought more umbrella's than I can remember. Wanted an Umbrella that could manage a little wind without making me nervous. This one has been outside with me several times now and I am happy to say it has done very well. Feels firm, well made and also nice to look at. People have asked me where I found it.For anyone wanting a decent Umbrella I can say this is worth considering. Much more confidence when the weather turns wet and breezy.Thank you

Lovely umbrella for outings with my little girl.

Lovely umbrella for outings with my little girl. The button action is smooth, though I operate it for her. It opens up quite generously. My two and a half year old loves holding it with me and is very proud of it. Feels nicely made, so hopefully we'll enjoy it for a long time. Very sweet.

Hayden Singleton

After all that looking around, I just hope I made a good choice!

Spent a long time comparing umbrellas, trying to find something sturdy with room for two standing close. Went for the green one. I'm giving it four stars for now as I haven't received it yet, and don't want to pretend I've tested it in rain.I also saw a lower price shortly after ordering, which is annoying when you haven't even got the item. That's left me thinking about the value a bit more than I expected. Still hoping the umbrella itself will be what I was looking for. I'll add to this when it's here and I can actually see how it feels and covers us...UPDATE: Still waiting to give it a proper try, so no change to the rating yet. After all that looking around, I just hope I made a good choice!

Jaclyn Perkins

They've all stood up well to being used so often.

For the price I wasn't expecting anything special, but these have turned out to be very useful. The family keeps them busy, not only when we're golfing. One stays with the golf things, one is by the back door for taking the dogs out, and there's another kept in the car. They've all stood up well to being used so often.

Alicia Carpenter

It's a really pretty pink umbrella, and the cover is generous for…

It's a really pretty pink umbrella, and the cover is generous for something that folds down. I wanted that, so I'm happy with it, but it still needs more room in the car than I had in mind. Folding it neatly takes me a little while, which is kinda annoying outside a store or getting into the car in rain. The canopy shuts with the button, then I have to shorten the shaft by hand.

Hayley Huff

This is one I intend to look after.

I've used plenty of bargain umbrellas over the years, and this one gives me a much better impression. Mine usually end up on the floor of the car, which probably isn't the kindest treatment, so I wanted something with a little more substance. Can't say how it will look years from now, but the frame seems solid and the opening button has been straightforward every time I've used it. The folded size is practical too, rather than another long thing rolling around the car!Looks smart, has kept the rain off well, and hasn't tried turning over in the breezes I've been out in. Room for me and someone tucked in close, without being huge. This is one I intend to look after. A keeper.

Janice Vincent

Feels solid without being a burden...

Feels solid without being a burden...the button both opens it and collapses the canopy, then I compress the stem to finish. Getting it into the carry sleeve is fiddly unless I wrap everything quite neatly, so one star off for that. A useful umbrella none the less.

Cheryl Mckee

This is the umbrella I end up reaching for most.

This is the umbrella I end up reaching for most. I had got fed up with a tiny one that hardly covered me, but didn't want to carry a full length golf umbrella everywhere either. The folding Haven sits between those choices nicely for me. Open, there's enough coverage for my usual walks, and once folded it doesn't need a long space in the car. It isn't the smallest umbrella you could put in a bag, so I do leave a bit of room for it. That's a trade I'm happy with for something that feels more substantial. I had originally intended to leave it in the car, but I keep bringing it into the house to use as well.I haven't tried it in really strong winds and can't offer an opinion there. That wasn't my reason for choosing it. For everyday rain this has suited me very well.

Eileen Kidd

The button is a nice help when the rain starts.

Before buying I spent ages reading what people thought of different umbrellas. This one appealed to me because it looked roomy without being one of those enormous umbrellas. Once I tried it, I understood the attraction. There is enough cover over my hair and shoulders, and I can hold it at a height where I'm not hiding my view of the pavement. I still watch the edges around people, of course. The button is a nice help when the rain starts. I love taking it out. Rain is welcome now.

Hannah Grimes

The push-button opening and closing of the canopy are handy.

A sensible everyday umbrella, with enough cover once opened and a manageable folded size. The push-button opening and closing of the canopy are handy. I've been using it for a few weeks and nothing feels flimsy or loose. It's not something I wanted to spend ages choosing, and I'm pleased this turned out to be a dependable choice.

Ian Gray

It seems well constructed and looks handsome too.

Had a proper test in a sudden rain shower on the way into the building. A coworker spotted me battling the gusts as I approached the door. My struggle was more with walking in a straight line than with the umbrella, which kept its shape and gave me good cover. It seems well constructed and looks handsome too.

Carrie Ortiz

So far it has lived up to what I hoped for.

Florida heat is hard enough without the humidity making every little walk feel like work. I wanted shade I could take with me, and this umbrella has made being out in the sun much more comfortable. Reading that an umbrella is suitable for shade doesn't really tell you how welcome that patch of cover feels in the middle of August. I still feel the heat, of course, but not having the sun directly on me makes a noticeable difference. The whole thing feels solid when it's open, rather than flimsy, and it isn't a chore to carry along. So far it has lived up to what I hoped for. If I look after it, I can see myself using it for years.

Alejandro Maxwell

Nice for those little "let me" moments.

Much nicer looking in person. My three year old is very taken with it and wants to hold it herself. It's a proper sized umbrella, so I help her with the button and putting it away. She still feels very grown up carrying it. Even her teachers noticed it at school. Nice for those little "let me" moments.

Tasha Arnold

Still a practical size, provided I remember where I've left it:-)

A folding umbrella with about 105cm of cover, so there's a useful compromise between something portable and something that actually shelters you. The flexible ribs seem a sensible choice for for an item that's going to get used in changeable weather. The closed oval handle is easy to keep hold of, though it makes the packed shape a bit bulkier than a straight handle would. At roughly 40cm folded, this isn't one of those tiny umbrellas you forget is in your bag. Still a practical size, provided I remember where I've left it:-)

Tasha Meadows

Solidly made and the frame seems strong.

Solidly made and the frame seems strong. Haven't had the chance to try it in really heavy winds, but the normal breezy days haven't caused any trouble. Coverage is a little smaller than I would choose ideally. Still a clear improvement on the cheap umbrellas I've been using. Four stars because of that size, and because I can't say much about how long it will last yet. Definetly looks like a better quality option so far.

Amanda Waller

A nice umbrella for a child who likes to carry their own.

A nice umbrella for a child who likes to carry their own. The quality seems about the same as others I have seen in the shops, which is fine for us. My daughter is almost 3 and is very taken with it. She can use the opening button with a little help and I fold it away for her.

Diane Harmon

She stays dry and absolutely loves using it.

Well, I wondered at first whether it might be too much umbrella for my five year old granddaughter. Turns out she handles the button quite happily and has no trouble holding it. She stays dry and absolutely loves using it. Hard to argue with five stars when she's that pleased!

Alisha Wall

The button brings the canopy in, no trouble there.

. . . but my arthritic hands struggle with the last part of closing. The button brings the canopy in, no trouble there. It's pushing the telescoping stem together afterwards that takes effort, and that part is manual. A nice umbrella otherwise, just something to bear in mind if your grip isn't very strong.

Teresa Zhang

Overall a very nice umbrella.

It looks just as nice in person as it did in the pictures. It has a smart, fairly classic look and made a lovely Christmas present. My only reason for four stars is the effort needed to pack it away fully. The button brings the canopy in, but you finish shortening the stem yourself, which takes a firm push. That's the normal way it works; I simply find that last part a bit of a chore. Otherwise it looks well put together and was a gift I felt good about giving. Overall a very nice umbrella.

Suzanne Coffey

More than I normally spend....

More than I normally spend....the little folding ones I pick up are usually cheaper...This feels Much more substantial, and you notice the extra weight. The button pops it open and also pulls the canopy shut. BUT the shaft still needs pushing down by hand...that's just how it packs away. There is a sleeve included, which I would expect at this price. The black is plain and tidy looking. Haven't had it long enough to say much about lasting...I'll see how it goes with more use. Wanted something better than my usual cheap umbrella, and so far this seems worth the extra.

Ray Koch

I'm liking this for shade.

I'm liking this for shade. Seems more people are carrying umbrellas for the sun now, which makes sense to me. I'll probably get another next summer. I loose these things often, so I need something useful without spending a fortune. This suits me. I've only tried it in the SUN so far, not in rain.

Daryl Joseph

The handle is different from the usual hooked type.

The handle is different from the usual hooked type. It's a closed oval loop, which my son was very interested in when we unpacked it. He loves the umbrella! We have had a few rather flimsy ones before, so the firmer feel of this one is encouraging. I still remind him to be gentle with it, an umbrella is an umbrella. The canopy gives him plenty of room and is a useful size for one person, rather than something I'd choose for sharing. Opening it with the button is straightforward and the same button brings the canopy down. I help with pushing the shaft back in afterward. I appreciate not having to press directly on a little metal catch to get it closed, those can be uncomfortable on the fingers. The green looks nice and the stitching looks quite neat as well. We haven't had it long enough for me to say how it will last, but my first impression is a very good one.

Summer Pineda

It feels sturdy when open but folds away after.

my girlfriend and i wanted something we could share without one of us sticking right out in the rain. We are both fairly slim and can get underneath this if we keep close, with the edges just past our shoulders. It feels sturdy when open but folds away after. I would recommend it for two smaller people who don't mind walking together.

Carly Hull

It feels like a decent quality umbrella & has worked nicely for me.

Opening the parcel I was pleased to find it looked the way I had pictured it from the online photos. It feels like a decent quality umbrella & has worked nicely for me. I enjoy using it, which is not something I usually think about with an umbrella. It has a smart look and people have noticed it. I'm hoping to have it a long time, because so far it has lived up to what I wanted from it

Denise Andrade

I would choose this one again!

I ordered the cream white umbrella in November for my daughter at college. It reached her quickly, and her first comment was that it felt properly made rather than like a flimsy emergency umbrella. She has been using it on the walks to class, with her book bag on her back, and says the coverage is good for those wet winter days. The folding design also means she can put it away when she gets inside instead of carrying a long wet umbrella everywhere.I may add more later once she has had it for longer. Up to now, purchasing it was straightforward and she is getting the use we hoped for. Should we want another.....I would choose this one again!

Jane Humphrey

Looks smart with the canopy open, and underneath it is black.

Looks smart with the canopy open, and underneath it is black. The shaft length and overall width feel medium to me, not oversized. The fabric is quite thick and makes a fair bundle when folded. I wrap it closely and smooth the material down before putting it away, which helps it take up less space. There is a sleeve with it, and getting the umbrella back inside is easier once the folds are tidy. A little care when packing it makes a difference.

Dwayne Oneill

I'd certainly recommend it.

For years I used automatic umbrellas, then switched to much larger ones because I wanted a sturdier frame and better coverage in the rain. Those do the job, but they're a lot to lug around. Saw this at a reduced price and decided to try a folding one again. It gives me enough cover without the enormous size of my others, and the opening action is smooth. Nice to have something more portable among my options. I'd certainly recommend it.

Victoria Warner

The loop handles are handy too.

These have been a hit with my younger kids. We have three blue ones now. They've managed the buttons well and get lovely comments when they take them out. Makes school pick up easy, I just watch for three little mushrooms coming towards me! The loop handles are handy too. Nice quality for the price, and they were packed neatly when they arrived. Very happy to have one for each child.

Duane Frost

Good umbrella overall.

Good umbrella overall. The cloth is different though from the one I got in a store a year ago. I really liked that one's design and material and how it felt, which is why I bought the same model after I lost it. The rest seems fine, but this canopy feels thinner than my previous one did. It has kept me dry in the rain, so there is nothing wrong there. I just look at the fabric and wonder if it will start coming apart in a couple months. Hopefully it won't happen, I would like to keep using it. I still like the umbrella, but next time I would prefer to look at one in a store before buying. Maybe there is some way of making sure the cloth is what you remember when ordering, I don't know how to tell.

Brian Finley

Excellent for carrying around.

Excellent for carrying around. I needed something that wouldn't hog space once folded and this is just right. Opened out, there's a surprising amount of cover over me. The sleeve is useful for putting it away, and the oval handle gives me a secure grip when it's blustery!

Judy Espinoza

Pleased overall!

The gray looks a little different in person than I'd imagined, although the overall shape is what I expected. The opening button works well and the loop handle feels solid enough in use. Getting it back into the sleeve is the fiddly part; I have to take a little time arranging the fabric rather than just stuffing it in. Once packed away it is tidy to store. I let mine dry out open before putting it away, as I do with any umbrella. A good amount of cover for me, and useful for a little shade as well. Pleased overall!

Dillon Conrad

After using the beige Haven umbrella, I feel I made a good choice.

After using the beige Haven umbrella, I feel I made a good choice. It arrived neatly packed with a sleeve to put it back into. There's quite a solid look to it, without looking too bulky, and the beige has a smart finish. The sleeve itself is nothing special. It fits rather closely so putting it away neatly needs a bit more attention than I would prefer. Opened up, the canopy gives me generous coverage and there is room for another person if we stay close together. It feels well supported, not like those flimsy folding umbrellas that move about with every gust. The button sends it up and spreads the canopy in one go, which has worked smoothly for me. Another press folds the canopy down, then the telescoping stem needs pushing back to its shortened position by hand. Folded, it takes up less space than a full length umbrella. Not something I'd call tiny, but considering the coverage, it's a sensible size for carrying and storing. The handle is the part I would alter a little. The closed oval loop feels sturdy, although the grip area is a bit short for my hand. I don't feel quite as settled holding it as I would with a longer grip. That is a preference rather than something that has stopped me using it, and the rest has been excellent. Overall: Pros - * Smart appearance * Sleeve included * Good sized canopy * Solid feeling frame * Convenient folded size * Button opening and canopy closing Cons - * Snug sleeve * Grip could be more comfortable

Mindy Cooke

Solid umbrella, smart looking and feels built to last.

Solid umbrella, smart looking and feels built to last. I'm 6 ft 2 and about 200 lbs, and it covers my shoulders and back better than the little folding ones I've used. The ribs feel sturdy with some give. Not the cheapest, but I think it's worth paying for.P.S. not quite golf umbrella coverage, still plenty for one person.

Tonya Ali

I'd happily recommend it.

Three years on, mine still does its job perfectly. Some umbrellas seem practically "throwaway," breaking or folding upwards after a few months, but this hasn't been one of them. The only reason I've bought another of these was because I lost the previous one. I'd happily recommend it.

Mandy Herrera

Fairly ordinary umbrella really, which is what I wanted.

Fairly ordinary umbrella really, which is what I wanted. The oval handle gives me something decent to hang onto. Plenty of cover over my back and the bag I'm carrying. It's too long for my purse, though not a nuisance to carry in my hand. Seems a lot more substantial than the little flimsy ones. Nothing fancy, just useful and I'm happy with how it works.

Harold Rice

This looked like a good option for the money.

Needed a replacement for my old umbrella and wanted decent coverage without something awkward to carry. This looked like a good option for the money. I've had it out a few times now and been happy with it - covers me well and the button makes opening and gathering the canopy very simple.
