I've been using this a few weeks now and I'm very happy!
I've been using this a few weeks now and I'm very happy! It's comfortable sitting out of the direct sun under it, and it's kept me dry in rain too. A gust did turn it inside out once, which worried me, but it went back into shape and everything still works fine.

Pros:- Solid feel throughout- Flexible ribs rather than that…
Pros:- Solid feel throughout- Flexible ribs rather than that brittle feeling- Generous canopy- Easy enough to carry- Quick button action- Straightforward to wrap up- Looks smart
Cons:- Handle is more practical than fancy- If I let go in wind, I doubt I'd catch it

I wouldn't want to go back to my old sort now.
My sister liked mine so much that I let her have it and ordered another for myself. It gives good cover, including when the rain is coming at an angle, and I've had quite a few nice comments about it. I wouldn't want to go back to my old sort now. Folded up it still takes a little room, so not a pocket umbrella exactly. The one I passed on had a year's use and was still looking really good.

Fantastic umbrella!
Fantastic umbrella! Standing underneath it is such a relief when the sun is beating down. It gives me that little patch of shade I always wish I could take with me. Feels steady in a breeze too, rather than something I'm constantly wrestling with. Rain or sunshine, I don't want to leave this one behind!

Small enough for a school bag and not too weighty, yet it seems solid.
Small enough for a school bag and not too weighty, yet it seems solid. This replaced an umbrella that had broken. There was a slight new smell at first, which disappeared after a day left open to air. I've since put one in each child's school bag. So far I'm happy with how they have worked.

It was worth being patient in the end.
The wait had me feeling rather unimpressed before I even saw this umbrella. Once I unpacked it and put it up, though, my opinion improved considerably. The pink is beautiful and the whole thing has a nicely finished look. Still wish it hadn't taken so long to arrive, but I am delighted with the umbrella itself. It was worth being patient in the end.

This is a nice size and the automatic opening is handy!
I bought an umbrella for my son and fancied one myself! This is a nice size and the automatic opening is handy! I was hoping for something less messy to put away though. A wet canopy still needs care near the car seats and drying out at home. Decent umbrella, just not quite what I imagined!
Emma Duncan
Bought this after my previous one disappeared.
Bought this after my previous one disappeared. Might have gone from the back of my covered pickup while I was at a motel, can't say for certain. No hard feelings if somebody has it, hope they're getting use from it. People used to comment on it. Happy with the replacement, handy when the weather turns at the golf course.

First impressions of this umbrella are excellent.
First impressions of this umbrella are excellent. It feels substantial, the frame seems sturdy and the coverage is generous for a compact. I've only needed it three times, so can not make any claims about how it will last, but nothing about it feels flimsy. The button works smoothly too. Folded up it goes into my computer bag without a struggle, which means I actually take it with me every day. I beleive it was a sensible choice.

So far this has earned its good reputation with me.
So far this has earned its good reputation with me. Feels sturdy and has stayed in shape on breezy days. I also take it out for shade quite often (plenty of sunny days here in Phoenix), and being underneath it is noticeably more comfortable. It's holding up better than the umbrellas I used to carry.
Gwendolyn Mcdowell
I've had this umbrella a good while now and still love it!
I've had this umbrella a good while now and still love it! We get plenty of rain and it hasn't let me down! Liked it so much I ordered another for my sister!! It gives me plenty of cover, and the beige is lovely. Easy to take along even when the weather can't make up its mind! Worth every penny!

Good size overhead and nice to carry once folded.
Very satisfied with the umbrella, looks carefully put together and feels substantial in the hand. Thank you). It is not the lightest little thing, but the cream white colour is very nice with the black underneath. Operation is automatic for the canopy. One press of the handle button spreads it out, and pressing again brings the material and ribs in. After that the long shaft must be pushed back by hand, this needs a firm push. Good size overhead and nice to carry once folded. I am pleased with the purchase, thank you).

It has felt steady in the wind as well.
Had wanted an umbrella with proper cover and this has turned out just as I'd hoped. It arrived around the start of April and I've taken it on several rainy walks since. Looks quite smart whatever I'm wearing, but the important thing is I come back dry. It has felt steady in the wind as well. Would happily get the same again if I needed a replacement.
Arthur Raymond
The umbrella arrived as I expected and it's been working well for me.
The umbrella arrived as I expected and it's been working well for me. There is a good amount of cover when it's open, without having a long umbrella to carry about afterwards. The fabric feels substantial and the frame feels strong without being completely rigid. I've mostly used larger umbrellas before so I wasn't sure about a folding one, but this is a lot easier getting in and out of the car. I accidentally caught the open canopy with the point of some scissors and was relieved there wasn't a hole in it. Not something I meant to test. The button brings the canopy down quickly, then I push the shaft back in by hand. It takes a little arranging to get it neat in the sleeve but that is much the same with any umbrella I've had. So far it suits me fine.
Darren Bradley
For now I'm happy to give it five.
First look out of the box and this feels a touch lighter than I had pictured, while still looking well built. The opening has a good firm action and the button pulls the canopy together neatly too. You have to press the telescoping part down to pack it away, which is straightforward enough. The rib ends and stitching all look tidy on mine. Haven't had a chance to try it in real rain yet, so these are only early impressions. For now I'm happy to give it five.
Patrick Maddox
Also, an umbrella isn't a dry room.
Everything was as I expected when it arrived. Having a sleeve included is useful, and it fits where I keep an umbrella in the car door. It feels dependable for the ordinary wet, breezy weather I use it in. I can't say what it would do in a serious storm because I haven't tried that. Also, an umbrella isn't a dry room. Your shoes or a trouser leg may still get wet if rain is blowing about. This does a good job of keeping most of it off me. I'd choose the same one again when I need another.
Selena Evans
Just an observation..
I get a lot of windy rain where I live and have gone through enough umbrellas to start paying more attention to how they are put together. I read plenty of reviews and tried a few reasonably priced ones, mostly looking for something that wouldn't be finished after a gust caught it. With this one folding down fairly small I wasn't expecting it to be my favourite, but it came out ahead!!! It has kept its shape on wet, gusty days and hasn't turned inside out. I don't expect any handheld umbrella to keep every drop off you when rain is coming sideways. What matters more to me is not having to throw it away afterwards. The canopy has some give when the wind catches it, rather than feeling like everything is fighting against it, and that has worked well for me. Just an observation..I'm a fairly fit man, around 180lbs, and holding an umbrella steady for a while still makes my hand ache. You do have to keep a firm grip in gusts, so I wouldn't confuse a compact size with not needing any effort to hold it. For me though, it has done exactly what I was hoping for.

this was for my gf as a gift!
this was for my gf as a gift! she wanted a blue umbrella and this one went down well! nice and solid when its up and the button makes it easy to get open without standing about in the rain! Its a good size for ONE person, not really something we'd both fit under unless we stood right up close. a shoulder would probably be out in the rain then! but for just her its great and she has been using it lots! would recommend!
Emma Fisher
I would recommend it.
My previous compact umbrella finally wore out after years of use, and I felt I'd had my money's worth rather than being annoyed with it. I wanted another folding one because that is what I actually remember to take along.I can put this in my larger purse when the sky looks doubtful and it doesn't become a whole extra thing to carry. Opened up, there is enough canopy to be properly useful, not just a little roof over my head. A gust did turn it inside out once. I turned it back, checked it over, and it closed and opened normally afterwards. That was reassuring!! For the way I use an umbrella, this has been a very satisfactory replacement. I would recommend it.
Jose Haas
We've named it the big-rella.
Pretty compact folded, then a press of the button gives you a surprisingly big umbrella in a hurry. We've named it the big-rella. That single button for auto opening / closing the canopy is the attraction here. After using it, manually opening an umbrella seems like unnecessary work. Try out a smaller automatic umbrella at a local shop to learn the action first, then get this roomy one for a good price online.

An unexpectedly practical Father's Day gift.
An unexpectedly practical Father's Day gift. I looked at that oval clip handle and had to work out what to do with it, which probably says more about me than the umbrella. At least it's plainly an umbrella if I ever take it through Airport Security, rather than something requiring a lengthy explanation. It will get its outings on my morning walks. The ladies with the little yap yap dogs will probably still take up the entire pavement, but now I can at least stand in the rain quite comfortably.
Tanya Kemp
Really pleased she liked the beige one!.
Yes, she was delighted! A beige umbrella was exactly her kind of Christmas gift! And yes it went down brilliantly at Christmas!!! Really pleased she liked the beige one!. Have I mentioned it was a Christmas gift already? Have I written enough about Christmas now?
Marco Hunt
The sleeve made a good first impression when I unpacked it.
The sleeve made a good first impression when I unpacked it. I took everything out onto the porch for a proper look, since I wanted to see how the frame was put together. The material feels decent and the handle and shaft have a reassuring solid feel. Yesterday's rain gave me a chance to try it while we were out doing errands, and it did the job well. It covers me comfortably, with room for another person if we stay close, rather than being one of those enormous umbrellas you struggle to carry. I would still keep a firm grip when the wind picks up, as I would with any umbrella. Once it was dry it folded down neatly into its sleeve again. Very happy with it overall and I think the quality is excellent for what I paid. Would certainly recomend to anyone wanting a useful everyday umbrella.
Jerry Johnston
It looks so good in person.
It looks so good in person. The gray is smart, and the opening button is very handy. Closing isn't completely hands free: another press gathers the canopy, then I have to push the telescoping stem down until it catches. That last bit can be awkward with everything wet while getting into the car or through a doorway. Still, I liked mine enough to buy another. It's had plenty of less than gentle treatment and is still doing what it should, so I'm more than happy to put up with that extra push!
Maurice Villegas
Nice looking as well as useful.
We ordered a dozen for a family party, then added another dozen when rain looked likely. They were just what we needed!! Handy size, quick push-button opening, and the green made ours easy to spot among everyone else's plain umbrellas. Nice looking as well as useful. Excellent value!
Melody Simon
It gives me good coverage without being a long golf umbrella.
I'm on my second one (the first got left on a train) and both have worked really well. The opening button is handy and the loop handle feels secure. It gives me good coverage without being a long golf umbrella. Closing the canopy is quick too, then I shorten the pole myself. Money well spent.

The brolly itself has done what I wanted.
The brolly itself has done what I wanted. What I hadn't been told was that I would need to pay customs and duty before the post office would let me collect it. That put another 50% on the cost. I am cross about learning this only when it needed paying. A clear explanation about the import charges in the description would have helped, so I could make the choice with the full cost in front of me.

no huge umbrella to carry back afterwards.
here in hawaii i keep umbrellas where i can grab one quickly! there's a tall vase thing by the front door and these go in there, so i'm not hunting around before leaving. they fold up but open to a useful size, and have been fine for taking along to the golf course when the weather changes. no huge umbrella to carry back afterwards. The oval handle feels good in the hand, i don't have to clench it to keep hold and it hasn't got unpleasant with regular use. they feel nicely put together, especially considering what i paid, and i like having them ready to go

I chose this for a trip to England, expecting PLENTY of rain and wind.
I chose this for a trip to England, expecting PLENTY of rain and wind. It folds away into its sleeve and fits in my larger purse, which is handy when traveling. Shortening it after the canopy closes takes a fairly firm push. Apart from that little effort, I've been very happy.
Meghan Wolf
It isn't the tiniest thing to pack though.
Well, the wind here in Philadelphia has finally met an umbrella that seems up to my everyday use. I used to get through cheap ones far too quickly (sometimes in only a few days). This has been with me for a while and still feels solid, even after windy walks. It isn't the tiniest thing to pack though. Folded down, it just fits my messenger bag, and I wouldn't expect it to disappear into a small purse. For me that's a fair trade. I'd rather give it a little more bag space than keep buying umbrellas that turn themselves inside out whenever the weather gets lively.

Both went to family/kin and both were such a happy surprise.
I ordered two umbrellas, one as a graduation gift and the other for a birthday. Both went to family/kin and both were such a happy surprise. They really liked them. Seems I chose well. Only two days between ordering and having them here, unusually quick for my online purchases. Very satisfied with both and glad I picked these. Thank you!
Bailey Burch
Thankfully it arrived quite alright.
After ordering I carried on reading the reviews and started worrying that the umbrella might reach me in poor condition. Thankfully it arrived quite alright. There was firm paper wrapped round it several times inside a cardboard box. My preference would have been bubble wrap, but the amount of paper used was substantial enough that I could see how it had protected everything on the way here.
It happened to be wet outside when the parcel came, so I tried it straight away and used it again later that day. Everything looked straight and undamaged. The button worked easily and the umbrella felt properly made, not like something flimsy I would only trust for a couple of outings. It was also prettier in person than I expected, and I felt quite cheerful carrying it about.
The rain stayed off me, which was obviously the main thing, and I wasn't having to keep shifting it around to stay covered. For size I would say it is intended for one person. Two could probably squeeze beneath it, but you would need to stand close together.
In the end I am so glad I didn't talk myself out of buying it because of the less happy reviews. Mine arrived sound and has been very pleasant to use. I had expected to be more bothered by the packing, but once I unwrapped it there really wasn't anything to complain about on that score.

My last umbrella disappeared off the porch.
My last umbrella disappeared off the porch. (Apparently it found itself a new home) This has been a really good replacement. I have a little boy and usually need to manage an umbrella and his stroller at the same time, so the button opening makes a bigger difference than I expected. I can get it up with one hand without stopping to wrestle with the frame. There is enough coverage for me and him when he is close beside me, or for me to shelter the front of the stroller. It isn't a giant umbrella, which is actually easier when the pavement gets crowded, and around our neighborhood it does what I need.It also folds up well enough to put away when we're back indoors. Getting the sleeve on neatly takes a little care, but rolling the fabric together first sorts that out. A useful everyday umbrella for a parent with their hands already full.

This is the third time I've come back for this umbrella.
This is the third time I've come back for this umbrella. My first saw well over a year of regular use, and the second one I lost, so that wasn't the umbrella's fault. I keep buying it because it feels solid and gives me a decent area of cover. The one point I'd mention is the closing: pressing the button draws the canopy in, but shortening the telescoping stem is still a job for your hands. It isn't completely hands-free, although I don't find that a problem. My current one has been straightforward to use and keeps my shoulders dry. It is a reassuringly sturdy umbrella for everyday use, which is what brings me back to it.

Several months in and this umbrella is holding up nicely.
Several months in and this umbrella is holding up nicely. It has a substantial frame without being a nuisance to carry, and the ribs have coped well with breezy rain. Money well spent. What made me laugh was the enormous carton it arrived in. The umbrella occupied hardly any of it, could have packed a whole collection in there...
Jocelyn Velez
The frame is what impressed me first.
I eventually got tired of buying flimsy umbrellas and started looking for something more substantial. I must say: this has been a very worthwhile purchase. For the money, it seems a sensible step up.The frame is what impressed me first. There are 30 flexible ribs and the canopy feels properly supported, rather than hanging off a few thin bits. It has stayed manageable on windy days. I would rather buy one umbrella I enjoy using than keep paying for cheap replacements.
The size is good, too. It gives me comfortable cover and folds down enough to carry, though it isn't a tiny mini umbrella. I am making more effort not to leave this one behind. The closed oval loop handle wasn't quite my first preference, but it's comfortable, and several people have commented on the unusual design.
Opening quickly took a little learning for me. I was tapping the button too lightly; a proper press works much better. The button also collapses the canopy, while shortening the shaft is done by hand. It is an extra step when packing up, but I nonetheless am very pleased with it.
Patrick Cordova
What stands out here is the frame.
We have worked our way through plenty of bargain umbrellas, plus some pricier ones that weren't noticeably better. What stands out here is the frame. There are 30 flexible ribs, so the fabric has support all around rather than just at a few widely spaced points. It feels more reassuring in use, though I wouldn't deliberately squash it to see what happens. The folding design is practical, too (it is an umbrella to carry, not something I'd use as a walking stick). My conclusion: spending a little more on construction that feels decent makes better sense than repeatedly replacing something flimsy.

I treated myself to this before london, then found it was too big for the bag I was taking so it stayed home. Since getting back to the states I've had a chance to use it and its my favourite still. Looks much more expensive than it was, friends are always surprised when I say I paid just a few pounds!

Cheap little umbrellas get old fast.
Cheap little umbrellas get old fast. This one is a sensible thing to leave in a backpack or briefcase for the day you head out without checking the forecast like an idiot. It isn't going to cover you like a giant golf umbrella, and in sideways rain your legs are still getting wet. The advantage is not taking up the whole pavement or fighting with a long handle in your bag. Mine has been useful over roughly three years, though to be fair we don't get constant rain here. I'd consider keeping one in each regular bag rather than remembering to move it around. That's convenience talking, not a sales pitch. A useful backup, with the usual compact umbrella limits.
Jordan Zhang
Happy with how it works & happy to buy another!
I'm ordering another umbrella like this one. The ribs on my first have some flex rather than feeling completely rigid... It has been fine in ordinary rain! I want the new one as a "backup" because the compact shape makes it easy to keep one handy. The low weight and folded size are the best things about it for me. Happy with how it works & happy to buy another!
Melinda Bates
Handy little umbrella for my briefcase.
Handy little umbrella for my briefcase. It stays there every day in case the weather catches me out. Has coped well with the gusts I get walking in downtown Chicago. Ended up buying more for the family at Christmas after using mine. They've all been pleased with theirs!

Looks smart and has been very good in the rain.
Looks smart and has been very good in the rain. There is a useful amount of cover without feeling like I am carrying a garden umbrella, and the handle is comfortable to hold. The frame has enough give that it doesn't feel rigid and awkward when a gust catches it. I am not going to make predictions about serious storms, but for normal use it has been reassuring. Opening is straightforward, and another press gathers the canopy in. You then compress the telescoping pole manually, which takes more effort than just pressing a button. My small gripe is packing it away neatly. I have to get the folds properly arranged before putting it in the sleeve, otherwise it is a squeeze. That doesn't change how well it works out in the rain. Carry on, clouds.

Around here in the Pacific Northwest an umbrella gets plenty of use.
Around here in the Pacific Northwest an umbrella gets plenty of use. My favorite part is the button for collapsing the canopy as I get into the car, rather than hanging around outside getting wetter. The telescoping part still needs pressing down afterwards, which is straightforward. There's a sleeve for carrying it once it's dry, and the closed loop handle is useful for hanging it on a hook when I get home.
Melissa Robertson
I think this umbrella is adorable.
... honestly, some people are impossible to please. I think this umbrella is adorable. That oval handle is a closed loop, not a hook, which I hadn't quite worked out from the pictures. My four-year-old likes holding it with me on our walks, and is very pleased when it's umbrella weather. I wouldn't leave her to deal with the button by herself, but that's fine with me. Too early to give a verdict on how long it'll last-- it seems decent, though I am not expecting an indestructible toy. The canopy gives us a nice bit of cover if she stays close!Really it's the cheerful look that won me over, and I thought the price was fair.
Jenny Carson
Brilliant!!!
Brilliant!!! For what I paid, a very nice umbrella, I am glad I went for it. The blue colour is pleasant, the canopy goes up and closes from the button, not light, and pushing the shaft down afterwards needs a firm hand... but this is the normal way of packing it. There is a sleeve as well, everything together is useful, these little things do not bother me. Many thanks!🫶
Mark Mccormick
I expect I'll keep coming back to these.
I expect I'll keep coming back to these. This is number two for me and it's easily my favourite umbrella so far. I've been caught out in rain with gusts pushing at me and it kept its shape and kept me dry. That's what I wanted, not something I have to fight with while everyone is trying to get indoors! For an umbrella that folds down this is a very solid bit of kit. Just remember to take it with you when you leave the cinema ;)
Robin Reynolds
The umbrella itself is good, I stay dry under it and it opens fine.
Wanted an umbrella for rain and also for fitting in my carryall bag. Not as small folded as I had pictured. I am disappointed in that part, because I didn't want to move everything round just to carry it. Ended up rearranging the bag and now it fits, so that was sorted. The umbrella itself is good, I stay dry under it and it opens fine. Just the size for my bag, I thought it would be less fuss....ugh!
Alfred Sandoval
The umbrella itself is sturdy and finished well
The umbrella itself is sturdy and finished well; a little substantial in the hand for me. The beige is more muted than I had pictured, although my brother rather likes it. Colour is a personal thing and isn't my main objection. With gloves on, packing it down is awkward. The button gathers the canopy, but compressing the telescoping section afterwards needs a firmer grip than I find comfortable in gloves. Nothing is wrong with the action, I just find that last step less convenient than I'd hoped. That's why I'm taking off a star, rather than for the colour alone.
Keith Burch
My last umbrella gave up in strong wind so I needed a replacement.
My last umbrella gave up in strong wind so I needed a replacement.I wanted something I liked the look of, and gray is one of my favorites. I enjoy taking this one out when it rains, it looks smart. :)Seems sturdy too and there's a nice amount of room over me without feeling oversized!
Spencer Huynh
It also has a sleeve to keep it together.
We wanted a sturdier umbrella for our second vehicle rather than the little budget one we'd been keeping there. This feels substantial but still folds away neatly. Good cover for one, or two standing close, and the flexible frame feels reassuring. It also has a sleeve to keep it together. Has worked well for us.
