Online reviews persuaded me to try this umbrella. Manhattan gets windy and so far this has done well for me. I havent run into any trouble using it. Might buy a second one to keep ready for wet days too. I would certainly recommend it to other people.
Wasn't sure what it would be like ordering without seeing it first. Really pleased! Pops open quickly, and the material feels strong. No rain test yet with all this snow around. My daughter likes it a lot too. Happy with how it looks and feels so far.

For my work guiding tours, this covers me well without being awkward to carry between stops. It has coped with breezy rain and gives me shade when the sun comes out too. The green isn't what I'd call dressy...but for getting the job done, brilliant!!!
Compact umbrella with automatic opening and canopy closing - works nicely, just a little bigger folded than my old favourite. I preferred the way that one packed down, so this takes some getting used to, but I'm delighted with how it performs overall.
Does what I expected, but the size once folded was a nice surprise. I was expecting about the same folded length of my old one but this is a handy size for a folding umbrella when closed so it goes into a bag easily. That makes it convenient to carry.
My daughter asked for an automatic umbrella for her tenth birthday.This one looks smart, and she holds it up for shade on sunny days too. A gust flipped the canopy on her first outing, but it went back into shape without harm. I may have to borrow it!

You can keep spending on cheap stuff that barley does the job or pay a little more for something worth keeping. This umbrella feels well made, gives enough coverage to actually stay dry and holds up when the wind picks up. I'm happy I spent the extra.

I love the simple clean look of these umbrellas. Only thing I am wishing is an easier way to gather the fabric neatly once it is shut. Takes me a little arranging before it goes away. Still, such beautiful looking umbrellas, I am quite taken with them
I bought this for shade while in my wheelchair mostly to get out of the direct sunshine and for me it "Works"! The button isn't difficult to press either, opens up without any struggle and I can manage packing it away afterwards. That's what I wanted!
My husband wanted something for those misty golf days when he doesn't want the cart cover pulled down. He can hold this over the clubs while he needs it, then fold it away again. Works nicely for the light sprinkles, and the pink is surprisingly cute!

Quality feels good for walking and doing little things outside. i dont need anything fancy, just some shade when that sun is really hot on my way home from work. this does that without being a pain to carry, so for the price i am pretty happy with it.

Smaller open than I pictured, but useful all the same. Thinking about how easily it needs to go in a bag, I can see why it's made this way. The pink and the feel of the fabric weren't quite as imagined, still good value though. We'll see how it lasts!
My little boy is 3 and wants this out whether it's raining or sunny. He even carries it closed as his pretend walking stick - I keep expecting it to look worse with the way he treats it, but so far only a few scuff marks. A very worthwhile buy for us.
Had it with me on a two night fishing trip with friends in the desert. Hot weather and quite breezy. Holding it over me made sitting out much more comfortable, though keeping it angled meant one hand was always busy. Still glad I brought it for shade.
A sweet, simple umbrella, just what I was looking for. I appreciate the lack of a cartoon character (almost everything in the shops has one). My three-year-old twins can use the opening button with me watching, and I help them pack it down afterwards.
These umbrella's have a SOLID feel but aren't heavy to carry. They've handled the wet days we've had without any fuss. Coverage suits one person best, not really a sharing size. We ended up buying two so neither of us has to squeeze in at the edge :-)
Needed something in case of rain while photographing a friend's outdoor wedding, since I don't have a cover for my camera and flash. (It never rained!) The umbrella seems nicely made for what I paid. I'm pleased with it and would suggest it to others.

My old folding umbrella was getting ragged so it was time for a replacement. Happy with this one. Its solid without being fancy, gives more cover than the old one without being huge, and the whole thing seems better put together than the cheaper ones.
Good color. A proper black. Good quality too. Button opens it and another press brings the canopy down. Enough room over me without being huge. Pushing it back to its folded length takes a little effort, but after a few goes I had the movement sorted.
This is pretty enough to cheer up a wet day. Its a comfortable size for one person, or a mom with a child, but doesn't spread so far that you're poking nearby people with it. Folds into a handy size too, with no trouble getting it in my tote or purse.

Well made and attractive, but most importantly it works. I first used it in a heavy downpour with wind and was impressed with how dry I stayed. Excellent umbrella! An easy recommendation if you want something smart and practical. I'd purchase another.
Better made than I had imagined. A little weighty, but that makes it feel substantial. The canopy closes neatly with the button; pushing the telescoping pole down afterwards needs a firm hand. I'm getting used to it, and otherwise it's been excellent.

Solid construction. Gives me good coverage when watching family sports, even though it folds down to a manageable size! Heavier than I was expecting. That is what keeps it from being five stars. Opens up easily & overall I'm happy with how it is made.

Loving the new umbrella. Around Chicago I want something I can hold onto when the breeze picks up, and the loop feels secure in my hand. I've put other umbrellas away rather than risk them flipping over. So far I haven't felt that worry with this one.

We try to have one in each car so nobody gets caught without. This one has done well in rain and a bit of wind, and feels good enough that we want more for the family. Some can stay at work as well. Rain never seems to wait until you are ready for it.
A very good Umbrella. My old cheap one had seen better days, so this has been a welcome replacement. Really like the push button opening. Folded down, it tucks neatly beneath my car seat without being in the way. I'd happily choose the same one again.
Been after a decent shade umbrella for ages. Walking far is hard for me, and waiting in queues in the sun isn't much fun either. This feels very solid, almost overbuilt. Lovely on sunny days, though I'd want more coverage if the rain was blowing hard.
Nicely put together and useful in the sun. The outside is gray and the underside black, not the reverse.The colour was what I checked first..it IS gray on top. I wanted some shade rather than anything fancy... This does that nicely, so I'm keeping it.
well made and handy for shade at the beach. personally i would enjoy a little more room overhead, but it's the size it said it was, so nothing misleading. if i wanted a bigger area shaded i'd choose something bigger, i'm happy with this as a handheld.

Slips into a bottle pocket on my backpack nicely. Handy for rain that catches me between classes...or when I'm out walking. It's a bit bulkier than I pictured, though still manageable in the bag. Makes sense as something to keep with me "just in case"
Loved my previous one till I left it somewhere....glad to have this replacement. One small gripe....I've pinched my hand a few times compressing the stem after closing......I reckon I'll get the hang of keeping my fingers clear. Still a great umbrella
Probably the nicest compact umbrella I have owned/tried, the fabric and frame seem very good, works smoothly, and the oval carabiner handle is especially useful for clipping onto a backpack rather than trying to squeeze it inside with everything else.
...a handy size for travel bags (the sort with an expandable zip section)......but the coverage and general sturdiness are only average to me. not awful, just not especially good value for what you get at this price.
Quite happy with it, keeps the rain off and gives useful shade too... I used to leave umbrellas behind on the train or bus all the time... clipping this one's handle onto my suitcase makes it much easier to keep track of, so it comes home with me now.
