As a track and field official I need shade for myself and something to cover the score sheets when rain starts. This has been useful for both. It is manageable in a breeze, though another bit of width would make juggling umbrella and paperwork easier.
My wife is enjoying her new umbrella. Her only problem is managing it while playing golf, since she needs a hand to hold it. maybe not the most practical thing to set down between shots, but for carrying around and having some shade she's quite happy.
Excellent umbrella, nicely put together. I checked the tips and stitching when it arrived and everything looked neat. The button is easy to use and the canopy gives me good cover without feeling flimsy. Good quality all round and I am glad I chose it.
Such a pretty umbrella, it gives me nice shade in the sunshine. When folded it still feels a bit bulky for a small travel bag, and opened it is smaller than I was expecting. But these little cons cannot stop me, I still loving this umbrella very much!
Rather a lot to spend on an umbrella, but the blue looks beautiful. It folds away neatly enough (not the smallest folding umbrella) although it does feel a little weighty. The contrast with the black inside makes up for that: very smart to walk under.
Used it on the little boat today and it made a handy bit of shade - comfortable to hold and far nicer than direct sun. My husband tried it and says he wants one! Reminds me of the sunshade for the car windshield, except this shade comes along with me.
Handy umbrella,flexible ribs and not too much to carry. Opening is easy. Here in Augusta, Georgia , the rain comes so often it sometimes feels like a rain forest. With this over me I can get on with things and stay dry instead of watching the weather.
Bigger than the little children's umbrellas we have had. Cream white looks lovely, and the oval loop handle is a nice detail. It seems good quality. My eight year old daughter finds the button easy to use. She's delighted with it, and I'm pleased too.

Such a pretty umbrella. The blue is cheerful without looking over the top, and gives an ordinary wet day a little lift. The whole thing has a smart look to it. My only little gripe is getting it neatly back into the sleeve, but I still love using it.
The plain black look on this umbrella is so nice. A couple of people have asked where I found it. Nothing fancy about the design, which is exactly what I wanted. If simple umbrellas are your thing, this one is worth a look. I'm delighted with mine!!!
After umbrellas that barely lasted through winter weather, I wanted something sturdier. This one has a reassuring feel and stayed in shape during the blustery rain we've had. I haven't worried about it every time the wind picks up, which is a relief.
Picked this up for golfing and it looks even better in person! Smart black on the outside, black underneath too. It comes with a carrying sleeve, useful for storing it between outings. I will certainly be bringing it along when I'm out on the course.
My son had been asking for a proper umbrella of his own. The ones I looked at locally felt flimsy, so I decided to try this. Much nicer quality than I expected, with a decent amount of cover when open. He LOVES using it and I'm happy to recommend it.

For a long time I was wanting an Umbrella like this. Here in Iraq my walk is just 6 minutes every day, but in that burning Sun it feels plenty. At last I have some shade over me and it really helps. I love it, only I would prefer a little bigger one.
Very impressed so far. The handle feels solid and sits nicely in my hand. Automatic canopy opening and closing is smooth.It's a bit larger packed away than some folding umbrellas, which doesn't bother me. Open, there's room for two if we stand close.
Mine still hasn't flipped! It has been out with me quite often in Boston's windy storms and has kept me dry each time. I've used it ~ 30 times over four months, with no visible wear or drop in quality so far. Definitely an umbrella I would recommend.
I'm loving this umbrella. My face stays dry and I don't have to pull it down over my eyes to stay covered. Looks cute too, and it's easy to carry folded. My backpack sticks out a bit and can still catch rain, but for me it's been money well spent. :D
We've not had rain since it turned up, so only an indoor try so far. Shortening the shaft by hand needs a firmer push than I'd thought. The canopy retracts with the button though, which should make the "out in rain -> under cover" changeover quicker.
Two soggy rounds of golf later and I'm impressed with this umbrella. It coped well with the rain and the gusts I encountered, and feels decently put together. Hopefully it'll give me plenty more use, but for what I paid I'm already happy. Good value.
The weight was the thing I noticed first. I had my doubts about whether that really meant it was sturdy, and I wouldn't describe it as featherlight. Still, it feels solid in use and is comfortable enough to hold. Overall I'm pleased with the quality.

After losing my last umbrella I went through the reviews and chose this one. It feels strong and the price seemed good, so I am glad I bought it!! Pushing the shaft back down takes a bit of effort after the canopy closes, but that does not bother me!
Received this as a gift and I absolutely adore it. The green is beautiful and the fabric has a really nice feel to it. Everything was in lovely condition when I opened it and it works smoothly. Almost has me hoping for rain!Very pleased with this one
Seems like a decent umbrella. I had pictured something smaller when I read compact, though. This was for my daughter-in-law, who wanted one she could put in her purse. It will go in a roomy handbag, but not the small sort she normally carries around.
Around here in the Pacific Northwest an umbrella gets plenty of use! Mine lives in the car, and I've been impressed with how nice it looks and how solid it is. Looks like I paid more than I did. Liked it enough that I've already ordered a second one.
From checking it over, everything seems to match the description and the mechanism feels good. I haven't actually taken it out in bad weather yet, which is why I'm stopping at four stars for now. Wind will be the real test, but I'm fairly optimistic.
Feels strong and quite solid. The size is good for me and the blue is lovely. I like having some color on a rainy day. Works for shade too, and two of us can tuck under if we stand close. A little weight to carry, but I like the sturdy feeling of it.
Quite spacious when it's open, two of us can stand close underneath, the fabric is fairly simple but seems suitable, I was unsure how bendy the ribs felt until I realised they're meant to flex, happy with it overall, still waiting for rain to try it.
Neat enough folded to slip into my tote, yet opens out to proper grown-up coverage! I wanted a portable umbrella, not a tiny canopy that leaves half of me wet. This feels like a good balance. And that oval loop handle is SO cute!!!! Love the shape!!!

Opening this actually cheered me up on a miserable rainy day! The black looks so smart against all that gray outside and I could walk along without getting soaked. Made the wet New York streets seem a lot less depressing. ONE HAPPY PERSON UNDER HERE!
They're not the fanciest umbrellas, but they worked well for my friend's wet wedding day. Kept us bridesmaids and the bride covered between photos. The umbrellas looked lovely in the pictures, actually better than I expected. Fine for what we needed.
Not tried it in rain yet but i like it already the button takes hardly any effort u just press and it springs open handle feels nice in your hand too seems like it should last a good while if u want something easy to open this one is worth looking at
Haven't had these long enough to say much yet. Nice to have spares because umbrellas are something I keep losing. The one I'm using feels light enough to carry and the quality seems good for the price. Thank you. Finding a decent one can be difficult
I picked up two for our local Renaissance Festival instead of paying the prices there. They did the job and we still have them for this year. Really durable and lovely looking! My gray one folds away neatly despite being opened and shut so many times
Neat enough to take along and comfortable to hold. The button makes opening it and folding the canopy very simple. It has dealt well with the rain and breezes I've used it in. Not the lightest, but it feels sturdy. I'd happily suggest it to a friend.
My 3 yr old son spotted the one we'd ordered for another child and immediately wanted his own. We ended up getting him one as well and and he couldn't be happier with it. It's a nice size opened up, with a handy loop to hold onto. A big success here.
feels solid and was handy for shade at the beach. it's a handheld umbrella so you do have to keep holding it. personally, i would enjoy a wider patch of shade, but the size was described correctly. i'd choose something bigger for sitting out all day.
Ordered two of these blue umbrellas, one to keep and one to give away. They look so nice that mine is still sitting unused. The other hasn't actually made it to the person yet either, I keep thinking maybe I should keep a spare and use the first one.
Probably the nicest compact umbrella I've owned/tried, the fabric and frame feel very good, everything operates smoothly, and the oval clip handle makes it handy to hang up at home or attach to my backpack when I don't want it inside taking up space.

I ordered six to use in my dancers' class project. The size looks good on stage, although they take some care to keep from bumping each other. So far the umbrellas seem to be holding up well. Haven't tested them outdoors so can't comment on the rain!
Windy, wet days in NYC can be rough on an umbrella. This has felt reassuringly steady when the gusts pick up. It does fold down for my bag, although the oval handle uses a little extra space. That's a minor niggle with an otherwise excellent umbrella
Surprisingly roomy when opened! The sleeve is handy and the whole umbrella feels solid. There are 30 flexible ribs supporting the canopy, which gives it a substantial feel without being awkward to carry. Very happy with how it's built. Excellent buy!
My family loves colourful picture books, so the children always notice bright things. We'd been looking for an umbrella to use with our three year old daughter for a while. This pink one caught my eye and looked like something she would enjoy having.
I'm a big guy (6' 3") and this gives me enough cover, which matters more to me than how small it folds. It feels very solidly put together, and stays manageable when a breeze catches it. I've been using it for close to six months now with no trouble.
Mine's been rattling around in a backpack alongside all my textbooks, and it's already been through some rough wet walks without giving me trouble. Feels properly made, and I appreciate that it packs away neatly without being too little when it's up!
