Good cover without much effort from your arms. One button press opens it, another folds the canopy. You do still push the telescoping pole down yourself. The only other skill required is remembering that fellow pedestrians would like to keep their eyes.
It isn't built like a big stick umbrella, but I wasn't expecting that from something that folds down. Service was quick and I could put it to use straight away......good thing cuz here in Washington it seems like there's always some rain waiting for you
Nicely put together. All those ribs give the canopy a good shape and the rain runs off cleanly. Feels much less cumbersome to hold than a big golf umbrella, without that heavy wet fabric feeling overhead. Liked it enough to buy one for a friend as well.
My wife kept borrowing mine, so hers was an Xmas present. Folds up neatly and feels well built. Handy for summer outdoor festivals when rain looks likely, I clip the loop handle to my jeans belt loop. Otherwise it just hangs there and my hands are free.
The inexpensive folding umbrellas from the local pharmacy were what I usually used. This one is a definite step up. It feels more substantial and has coped better with a bit of wind. I can't say yet how long it'll last, but I'm satisfied with it so far.
The flexible ribs seem to help it keep its shape when the weather gets blustery. I like how neatly it folds down afterwards, rather than having a long umbrella to carry about. It gets plenty of use during Oregon's rainy season. Glad I went for this one.
Feels really well made and gives one person a comfortable amount of shelter. The beige finish looks nice; simple but not dull. Been out with it on a couple of blustery days and it's handled those better than I expected. Happy to recommend this umbrella!
My daughter had this for Christmas. It looks every bit as pretty as it did online and seems quite sturdy. It is more of a regular umbrella than a little child's one though, so the size and weight are something to consider (she needs a hand carrying it).
Has a good solid feel, you notice the weight when you pick it up, opens to a useful size too, the sleeve is included although getting it back inside took some fiddling at first, once I'd wrapped it neatly it fitted, overall I'm impressed by the quality!
My granddaughter loves this umbrella, it's adorable. Folded up it is easy for her to carry along. I help with getting it ready and putting it away. Once up it gives her good cover. Feels well made too. Just what we wanted for rainy days here in Seattle.

These umbrella's feel SOLID without being a chore to carry. Been fine in the rain so far and still opening just as nicely. I'd call it a one person size, not something to share comfortably. We ended up getting two so nobody has to squeeze underneath :-)
Very happy with this umbrella! It arrived in good shape and was ready to use. A press of the button sends the canopy up without much effort. I like not having to push it open myself. Overall it's been simple to use, and I have nothing to complain about.
I've had plenty of umbrellas feel awkward when rain comes with a breeze, but this has been reassuring so far. Being able to collapse the canopy with the button as I get into the car is especially handy. Much less fumbling at the door while it's raining.
Not the cheapest umbrella, but such a lovely simple design. It folds down reasonably well, although it isn't the smallest or lightest one I've carried. The shape and the neat loop handle are what make it for me. Quite elegant for something so practical.
It is the umbrella I wanted although the folded length was a surprise. I was expecting it to be like the old one I had, but folded this one looks more like an ordinary umbrella size. Still it goes in my bag easily enough so the size has worked out well.
Such a nice looking umbrella. A couple of people have asked me where I found it already. If you like a simple, unfussy look, I think you'll be happy with this one. It looks just as lovely in person as I hoped it would. Very happy carrying this around!!!
Picked pink for my twin nieces -- both were thrilled with them. They decided these were their princess umbrellas. During my week's visit they wanted them along every day, whether there was rain or sunshine. Lovely looking and the button is easy to use.
I could not get a clear answer about the delivery at first, which was frustrating after asking for an update. It was eventually sorted out and the umbrella arrived in good order, and I am satisfied with it. Why was getting a simple update so difficult?
An umbrella for a two-and-a-half year old at Easter? Our daughter was thrilled to have one of her own! We handle the button and folding it away for her. She is quite content to sit underneath it and play, even without any rain. A lovely little present!
It would be perfectly useful in the rain.... But I like the look of it too much for that. Mine is used as a prop in dance studio photographs. Nicely put together and sturdy enough for the purpose. An umbrella can be a pretty thing in a picture as well.
Bought it with my four year old daughter in mind and she loves holding it once I've opened it for her. The green is lovely and the frame seems properly sturdy, not like a toy. There's room for me to stay under it with her too, which suits us very well.
I wanted more cover than the little umbrellas that always left me damp. This gives me room to keep myself dry on walks with the dog, without having to carry a huge umbrella around. I'd recommend it if you're after decent coverage in a folding umbrella.
FIVE STARS FROM ME for the solid materials and how durable it feels. A little heavier than my old folding ones(that's the only downside), but I'd rather carry that than get drenched when rain and wind arrive together. The handle is comfortable as well.

we've ended up getting around eight of these over a few years and they've served us well. Straightforward to use and they last nicely. Our most recent pair turned up quickly too, without paying for faster delivery. Would happily suggest them to others.
My three year old grandson loves this umbrella. He can hold it with both hands without it being a struggle. It comes out when it's raining and when the sun bothers his eyes, cuz he wants some shade over his head too. Just the sort of umbrella I wanted!
Found this while looking online for an umbrella that would hold up. Watching it being used helped me decide, I wanted one decent umbrella instead of constantly spending on flimsy ones.I've had mine two years now and am completely happy with the choice.
Enough room to keep me dry, but not so wide that I feel like I'm carrying a tent... just a sensible size.It feels strong too, and has been good in the New York rain I've used it in. I wouldn't bother with a flimsy street umbrella when I can carry this!
I lost the umbrella I'd bought about 10 years back, so this is what I"ve replaced it with. it feels made from really good quality materials, the canopy opens and closes automaticlly, and it stands up well in wind, I would definitely reccomend it.......
It's made it through a couple of New York storms and still works beautifully! Walked through the rain with my coworker, who kept wrestling his inside-out umbrella, while I just went on chattering about the same old nonsense I always find to talk about.
Ordered two, mine and one for a friend and we are both delighted with ours. Looking at a beige one for another friend now.These are lovely, wish they packed down a little smaller for my bag though as umbrellas are something I am forever leaving behind.
I bought it mainly for shade during summer. The button opening is useful and it spreads out bigger than I expected. Slightly heavy, although the frame does feel sturdy. I can see it being useful in summer rain too, rather than just carrying it for sun.
People keep asking about this umbrella, especially the oval handle. It feels sturdy when the wind picks up and has kept me dry on wet walks. I can hold it comfortably and the canopy gives me plenty of space underneath
Thank you, everything arrived in good shape, the blue is paler than I thought it would be but that isn't a problem for me. Black underneath and a good sized canopy when opened, it looks promising, I still have to take it out in proper rain to judge it.
The umbrella performs very well and is comfortable to hold. The folded canopy could be a little easier to keep neatly together, however. It needs more arranging than I would like before putting it away. Not a major issue, just a small design annoyance.
It does have the 30 ribs mentioned in the description, and the opening button works nicely. I hope this one lasts, I had another umbrella for a long time before replacing it. This feels well made to me. I like it so far and hope to keep it a long time.
Hello, everything seems to operate correctly, I have tried the opening and closing several times without any trouble. The blue isn't quite the shade I expected, although my wife is happy with it, which is what matters. Five stars from me. Kind regards,
Lives in my briefcase so I'm not caught without an umbrella. Small enough to carry daily and sturdy in the usual downtown gusts. I was pleased enough to get a few for relatives at Christmas. They've been happy with theirs as well, which is always nice!
For something compact, this opens to a perfectly normal umbrella size, which was a pleasant surprise. The green looks great and I mainly wanted it for a photo shoot. Packing it away needs a firm push, but nothing terrible. Very happy with how it looks!
About six months of use now and it's been a dependable umbrella. Rain and gusty days haven't given me any trouble, and it opens without a struggle. The build still feels sound after regular use, so I'm hoping I'll get quite a few years out of this one.
Ordered very near Christmas so I was glad it turned up in time. It's every bit as nice as the description, perhaps nicer. Intended for my daughter at college for those wet walks across campus...after having a look I was tempted to hang on to it myself.
For one person this gives proper shelter, even in a fairly heavy shower. Trying to share means someone's likely to have a wet shoulder, but I don't expect more from a folding umbrella. The frame feels firm and the whole thing seems nicely put together.
Arrived on time and has worked well. What I find useful is having a carrying sleeve, so it's *not* just loose folds catching on things in my bag. I take it out before using the button, of course. Seems a nicely thought out umbrella. Would recommend it.
Feels substantial once it's up, with a reassuringly solid frame. I like how it springs open and it seems well put together overall. So far I've only tried it indoors, not out in rain or wind. Will come back and change this if using it proves otherwise.
So helpful when I'm carrying my cello on my back. Much less awkward than a long stick umbrella, though I still like those. Fits in my bag. Lovely fabric and nicely finished! Small conveniences make such a difference when there's an instrument to carry!
The fabric and stitching look of decent quality, the weight is noticeable but I regard that as a positive, it doesn't feel insubstantial. Would be interesting to use in wind. Slight smell when first unpacked is the only minus. Arrival was fairly quick.
No problems with the purchase. The blue is just right for my grandsons' school colors, so these will get plenty of use watching soccer and football. Sitting out in the heat isn't much fun, and the rainy games aren't either. Nice to have cover for both.
So good! The shade is really welcome. My skin gives me problems, anyway I still want to be outside and this makes it nicer. Opens up bigger than it looks folded! My mom and I each have one now and we're both happy with them. Seriously, I say GO FOR IT!
I like being able to tuck this along the bottom of my handbag without giving up all the space in it. It means I actually have an umbrella handy when a shower catches me out! Not something I'd take into wild weather, but it's been great for normal rain.
