The button opens it nicely and folds the canopy quickly too.Closing still takes a little effort because the telescoping pole has to be pushed down manually to reset. That's how it is meant to work, I just wish that push felt easier.
Mine's been shoved into a backpack alongside textbooks and dragged out whenever the weather turns nasty, and it's taken it all without complaint. Sturdy little thing, and I like how it folds back down without taking up half the bag!
My five year old thinks this umbrella is wonderful. She finds the button simple to use (her first umbrella, so we practise together), and I help her push the shaft in afterwards. People always comment on how sweet she looks with it.

The fabric gives useful shade and the umbrella isn't tiring to hold. I'm less convinced about how the moving parts will stand up to constant use. Nothing has gone wrong, but I'd be cautious about taking it into really gusty weather.
Arrived in very good shape and without a long wait. I wanted it for a Halloween party prop, where it got plenty of compliments. It will have a more ordinary job when the rain comes.No complaints about how it arrived or how it looks.

We haven't had much chance to try it properly, though the frame feels solid and the fabric looks good. It is longer folded than I pictured, so not one for my smallest purse. That aside, it seems a sound choice and I'm happy with it.
Feels well put together and is simple to use on the golf course. I carry it for shade while walking the course, then fold it away when I'm done. The frame has some give in a breeze. My previous umbrella didn't feel nearly as sturdy.
I've liked Haven umbrellas for a long time. They look smart and feel sturdy! The automatic canopy is the feature I most appreciate. A quick press to open it or collapse it is so useful when I've already got other things in my hands.
As pictured- There's a good amount of cover when it's open. Feels fairly strong, like it'll be around a while. The frame still looks fine after getting wet- better than some of my previous umbrellas, which soon started looking tatty
I love how this umbrella looks. A bit different and it suits me perfectly. Arrived carefully wrapped, with nothing bent or marked. They clearly took care packing it. Works as it should as well, so I'm delighted with the whole thing.

Convenient size to take travelling and it goes into my bag without much fuss. Doesn't feel cumbersome to carry around. The cover is enough for me, so I can use it for a little shade as well as bringing it out when it starts raining.
Such a good umbrella--my previous ones gave up or flipped over when it got windy--I've only had one chance to use this so far, but it was a wet, blustery day-it covered me well and I wasn't fighting to keep it over me the whole time
This does what I wanted and has felt steady in windy weather. What I overlooked was the folded length. It won't go in my usual purse, so I have to carry it separately. Worth remembering if you want something to leave in a small bag.
Fits into my briefcase neatly and leaves room for the rest of my things. It isn't a burden to carry about either. I would prefer the loop handle a touch less chunky, but overall I'm pleased with how practical this umbrella has been.

Lost our big umbrella and wanted something better. .........this was it! Really pleased with how much shelter this folding one gives. It's a pretty beige and simple to use. I stay dry under it and don't mind heading out in rain now!
Looked through the reviews first. Thought I would give it a go. Very glad now. The build is excellent. Took it straight out in the rain with the dogs after unpacking. Opens firmly and feels strong in use. Exactly what we were after.
A blue umbrella that slips into my small shoulder bag, which was what I wanted. The black underside is pleasant for shade as well. Handy to have along for unexpected rain, and the finishing on it looks neat rather than cheaply done.
My toddler is so pleased with this umbrella. He gets a good grip on the handle and insists he can carry it "no help" in the rain. Anyone with toddlers will understand that being the one holding it is a very big deal. Would recommend
I'm from the Caribbean & sun umbrellas are my thing! My friend & I have one each and we're both delighted. I take mine out for shade and it's easy enough to carry with me. Loved using it so much I went ahead and ordered another one.
My son has been having fun with his umbrella. he brings it into his dinosaur games as wel as wanting it for showers. The gray is quite smart even without a fancy pattern. Feels sturdy enough that he should get plenty of use from it.
Three years with mine and I'm still happy with it. My husband kept borrowing it so he's finally got his own. The ribs give a little insted of feeling brittle, and mine has coped well with the breezy wet days. Nice to have mine back.
Last week at Yellowstone we ran into gusts, rain and even snow (wasn't expecting that quite yet). Our black umbrella coped with the rain well and still looks sound. The friends with us were impressed too. I'd certainly recommend it.

Gave this as a present and it went down brilliantly!! The reviews helped me settle on this one. It looked as described when I unpacked it, and the finish was good for the price. The Recipient was delighted, which was the main thing.
Seems nicely made, although I should have checked the coverage more carefully. For one person it feels a bit limited - I can still end a walk with a damp sleeve. I wouldn't choose this if two people were hoping to stay dry under it.
The coverage is nice and wide, but holding it for ages does get tiring for me. The handle shape also takes a little getting used to, so I'm not sure I'd want it for really long walks. Other than the weight, I'm happy enough with it.
I'd been round the shops trying to find an umbrella that felt as if it would last more than a handful of uses. Found this online and it's a good one sturdy, decent coverage, smart black fabric and it fits my roomy purse. Very happy.
Took it along on our Europe trip and it got plenty of use with the on and off rain. One press opens it, another folds the canopy, then you push the shaft down by hand. Easy enough to pack away in the sleeve and carry with us again.
Button-operated umbrellas are the only kind I bother with now. This fits in my tote and slides under the car seat easily. The oval grip feels natural in my hand, and the weight is reassuring. Not quite pocket sized, but convenient.
Overall it does the job though the button wants a firmer press than i expected, and pushing the shaft back in feels (sorta) stiff to me. Nothing faulty, just not effortless. The canopy fabric also feels thinner than I had pictured.
The quality feels good, but I had expected a bigger umbrella than this one. I used it in a heavy downpour recently and would still have preferred more coverage. For carrying around, though, the smaller size is certainly convenient.
The look of this umbrella really appeals to me. The plain black underside makes a lovely contrast with the pink outside, something a bit different to my usual umbrellas. Good coverage as well. It works nicely and the quality shows.
the loop handle looks different but sits well in my hand and the whole thing feels sturdy. reasonable for what it costs. the sleeve is useful for carrying it about but getting the folded umbrella back inside can be a little fiddly.
An excellent buy for my mother, who plays a lot of golf and needed to replace her old umbrella. It was part of her presents. She likes how neatly it folds away and especially approves of the plain black. Good quality for the money.
Best price i could find for this sort of umbrella. Looks nicely finished for the money! even the handle has a neat oval shape. The ribs feel more flexible than i expected, which takes a little getting used to. Hoping it lasts well.

I've been using these umbrellas for ages. Strong, attractive and they've worn well for me! The automatic opening and canopy closing is something I wouldn't want to give up. It saves a lot of juggling when I'm carrying other things.
My last umbrella gave up in a strong gust, so I went for something that felt better built. This feels substantial with decent coverage and the button is handy. Next proper rainy day will tell more. Oh, and it folds down nicely too!
An umbrella doesn't need to be a men's or women's thing, guys. This one suits me fine. Sturdy feel, good coverage, and I like using the button to bring the canopy down. Folded, it's a handy size to leave in the car or keep at work.
We got absolutely SOAKED on our eighth grade Washington trip, though this umbrella did a good job for my head and upper body! Plenty of coverage and it handled the gusts we encountered. Looks pretty stylish too :) I'd recommend it.
Love having this umbrella. It suits what I needed, although there was quite a bit of dirt on it when it came.It cleaned up fine and I'm pleased with the umbrella itself. My grumble is really about how it was sent, not how it works.
