I tried this alongside another umbrella. It doesn't feel quite as hefty, but the oval loop handle makes the design stand out! Not the usual shape i see everywhere! so for something a little different - I'm happy with this one :)
After too many tiny umbrellas that felt like toys, I finally have something substantial!! A sensible size - covers me without being a great big thing to lug around. Feels sturdy in my hands, and the beige is a really nice shade.
I'm actually looking forward to some rain so I can show off this umbrella. So cute! and there's plenty of cover to keep you dry when the weather gets blustery :) if you need one and have the money I would definitely go for this!

After losing my old automatic umbrella I chose this one, and I actually prefer it. Opens more easily and gives a little more cover. I ordered two for friends' birthdays as well, and one friend's husband has already claimed hers!
Replaced an old umbrella that had lasted Mom 15 years. She finds the loop handle comfortable and appreciates the extra cover compared with her old one. Can't judge its lifespan yet-but for the moment she is very pleased with it.
Used this in Paris, enough room for us standing close together but not awkwardly big when walking around the streets. It handled the breezy spells well too. Since coming home it's still the umbrella I prefer to take out with me.
A straightforward button-operated umbrella. Mine has been out about six times now with no problems. It folds to roughly 16 inches, so it stays in the car between uses. Feels firm once it's up, and is quite smart looking as well.
. . .for my five year old grandsons. They're so taken with their umbrellas, and one has put his old favourite aside already. We haven't had rain since they arrived, though, so I can't comment yet on staying dry or long term use.
but not quite effortless for a child to put away. My son, 9, can shut the canopy with the button but needs help pushing the shaft in by hand. We both like the look, though, and it's easy for him to open. Worth a little patience.
He'd noticed an umbrella like this before, and we finally picked one up for him. It seems solidly built and he has worked out the button for opening and folding the canopy himself (he's 4). I help push the shaft down afterwards.
A handsome, nicely made umbrella. I feel rather smart carrying it around Seattle.Not enormous, so a bulging backpack can still stick out behind me.The loop handle took a little getting used to, but I like how it sits in my hand.
The gift went down almost too well with my daughter. She wanted to carry her umbrella around indoors, even after I told her there wasn't any rain in the house. Getting her to put it away when bedtime came was a whole other job.
My son has been wanting his very own umbrella and picked this one out. He is delighted with it. The frame feels fairly solid and that loop handle is rather cute. I can see him using this for a good while, so five stars from me.
Having this with me in London turned out to be useful when snow left me stuck for five more days. It held up well and I stayed dry. By the end of a day carrying it round the city, though, I was wishing it weighed a little less.

It does the basic job, opens up and keeps the top half of me reasonably dry. The button opens it and folds the canopy back in, but you still push the shaft down by hand afterwards. That's normal, just not completely hands free.
More room under this than I expected! It has kept the rain off me and hasn't been awkward to hold when the weather gets breezy. Folds down neatly afterwards too. I'm glad I picked it up. A handy thing to have living in Seattle!
Been getting good use from this one so far. Its kept my shoulders and upper body dry in the rain, which is what matters. Also a nice looking umbrella, a bit different. Hoping it carries on doing this well for a good long while.

The granddaughters were forever borrowing their parents' big umbrellas to play with, so these are their own now. A much handier size for carrying about, and I like the design. They are delighted to have umbrellas just for them!
So easy to take along when travelling or just heading out on a rainy day, It doesn't feel like a burden in my bag. Best bit is using one button to open it and bring the canopy closed again! Such a handy little thing, LOVE THIS!
A nicely made umbrella with a good feel to the fabric. I especially like having the sleeve and not having a long umbrella to carry around. Opens without any fuss and packs away well. Quite a smart looking thing for what I paid!
My granddaughter likes everything in black, so this umbrella was an easy choice for her April birthday. She was delighted when she opened it. The timing was good with all the wet weather, and it has been working nicely for her.
Keeps me covered well and opens without effort. Closing the canopy is easy too, but pushing the pole back in takes more strength than my arthritic hands would like. I'm a senior, so that matters. Otherwise a very nice umbrella.
Love having a decent amount of cover from a folding umbrella. Although...I haven't put it through a proper windy storm....most umbrellas aren't made for that anyway. Those are still hood-up raincoat days as far as I'm concerned
Solid build, and I love how neatly it folds up. Room for one comfortably, or two who don't mind being close.Why 4*? I'd have preferred a softer green. The colour has grown on me though, so it's still a purchase I'm happy about.
Ordering an umbrella without handling it made me nervous...cheap usually feels cheap. Pleasant surprise this time.....has some weight, feels durable and opens/closes easily. It was for my son, and he was thrilled with his gift.
It was a Christmas gift, sent straight to the people it was for. They live in Louisiana and love going to football games. Word back was that the umbrella was lovely and they were both delighted. Seems my present went down well!
Gave this to my friend's daughter and she was SO happy with it. Her old plastic umbrella needed replacing and I wanted something that felt more substantial, this one seems just right and hopefully will stay with her a while ;0)
used to 'accidentally' leave my umbrella at home, i never fancied carrying it. this one actually looks nice without being flashy, so it comes along. AND the button makes opening it and collapsing the canopy SO much less bother.
My husband has put this aside for our next overseas trip. Trying the button was so straightforward and it fits into the pocket on his messenger bag. Surprisingly good quality for what we paid!!! Would certainly recommend this!!
A fairly ordinary umbrella, in a good way. A bit chunkier than a few I've had, but it does the job well. There is a sleeve included, though that doesn't make much difference to me. It packs away tidily enough when I'm finished.
My daughter is at college somewhere that gets a lot of rain, so I sent her this umbrella. She says it looks lovely and she's using it often, with no trouble opening or closing it. Fingers crossed it keeps being this dependable!
Press once and it springs up, press again and the canopy tucks in. You still squeeze the shaft together to pack it away. Feels a bit space age! Nicely solid too. Mine lives in the car for those times the weather catches me out!

After dealing with umbrellas that flip at every little breeze, I'm really happy with this one! The ribs have some give and the canopy has stayed in shape while keeping me dry...much better. I even gave a second one to a friend.
My favourite travel umbrella so far. It fits in my larger camera bag without taking over, yet opens out to give proper cover in normal rain. I don't find myself debating whether it's worth carrying, it just comes along with me.
All this rain we've had has made me glad I picked this size. Not a giant "Golf" umbrella, not one of those tiny "Purse" ones either. We've had a few blustery outings as well and "phew!".. no inside-out umbrella to wrestle with.
My daughter has been using hers for a few months and I'm really taken with it. It seems almost too pretty for rainy weather. Once opened there's a good amount of cover and it works as she wanted. Still think it's rather lovely!
I wanted a compact umbrella without giving up too much cover. Glad I went with this one. It has stood up well so far and two of us can huddle under it. Getting myself and the umbrella into the car is still a bit awkward though.
Small enough for my everyday bag without seeming flimsy, which is what I wanted. It looks cute too, and the sleeve is useful for putting it away. I need to remember how the folds go so I can get it neatly wrapped again. Thanks.
The button makes opening it simple and folds the canopy up neatly too. The ribs have a reassuring amount of flex. That oval handle isn't a perfect match for my hand, but it's comfortable enough and better than my last umbrella.
What a nice umbrella! After reading the comments I went ahead and got two, and I'm glad I did. Feels well put together and comfortable in the hand. Holding it over my boat seat while fishing gives me the shade I was hoping for!
was surprised how many umbrella styles there are when i started looking. i wanted pink and kept going back and forth. went w/ this one and it turned out well. it's got a nice sturdy feel to it. pleased w/ how it's put together.
Back for another after leaving my first one with a friend in Denmark. Well worth the money in my opinion. It gives me good cover when it rains and doesn't take over the backseat of the car. That's where I keep it ready for use.
Very nicely made umbrella .It looks smart and works as it should .My one change would be the storage sleeve,it is fiddly getting the folded canopy back inside it.A zip opening on that cover would make storing it much more easy.
After so many flimsy umbrellas folding over in a breeze, this one is a relief! The flexible ribs give it a much sturdier feel and it's kept me dry without a fuss...lovely! I liked it enough to buy another as a friend's present.
Solid umbrella, has a bit more weight than the thin ones i usually have but the frame looks much stronger too. so that seems fair enough if it lasts. i like the loop handle as well, handy for hanging it up when i'm not using it
No rain test yet, but I've tried the button and it's pretty neat watching it open and fold the canopy. Packs down reasonably, then gives a surprising amount of cover when opened. I'm optimistic, just waiting to see how it goes.
